🎇AATHAVAN MEDITATION🎇

"I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me;
because I live, you will live also." (John 14:18-19, NASB)
We see many destitute people in this world. We can also
describe them as helpless and lacking peace. Governments across the world
establish homes for the destitute to care for them. Yet, not everyone living in
these homes possesses true peace. Similarly, in many families, even while
living under the same roof, many elderly people feel entirely orphaned and
helpless.
When we depend on someone and they either depart from us or
reject us, we become like orphans. When various trials press in on us and there
is no one around to help, we feel abandoned. When parents suddenly pass away in
accidents, children are left helpless and orphaned.
In the same way, Jesus Christ had been ministering with His
disciples for three and a half years—eating, sleeping, and living alongside
them—when He revealed that He was about to leave them. At that moment, He spoke
today’s meditation verse to comfort them. He assured them that even though He
was departing, He would not leave them orphaned.
When Jesus says in this verse, "After a little while
the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will
live also," He speaks this to all of us who have accepted Him as our
Savior. Yes, dear ones, today the physical world cannot see Him with natural
eyes. But as spiritual people living as His true believers, we see Him. We hear
Him speak to us. We experience His guidance in our daily lives even today.
Furthermore, although Jesus Christ died and was buried, He
did not decompose in the dust. He lives today! Likewise, all who accept Him and
live for Him will not perish, but will live. This is precisely why He states, "Because
I live, you will live also."
The Apostle Paul also speaks regarding the incorruptibility
of those who put their faith in Christ:
"For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and
this mortal must put on immortality. But when this perishable will have put on
the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come
about the saying that is written, 'Death is swallowed up in victory.'" (1 Corinthians 15:53-54, NASB)
Therefore, dear ones, without worrying about our helpless
state, let us place our faith firmly in Christ. He will not leave us orphaned.
If we live in a close spiritual relationship with Him, we will see Him. And
because He lives, we will live also.
