🦋 Meditation verse - 1 கொரிந்தியர் 2 : 2 / 1 Corinthians 2:2

 தியானம் - 2035

"ஆதவன்" செப்டம்பர் 04 வெள்ளி 2026

"இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவை, சிலுவையில் அறையப்பட்ட அவரையேயன்றி, வேறொன்றையும் உங்களுக்குள்ளே அறியாதிருக்கத் தீர்மானித்திருந்தேன்." ( 1 கொரிந்தியர் 2 : 2 )

இன்று பெரும்பாலான கிறிஸ்தவ விசுவாசிகளும் போதகர்களும் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை அதிசயம் செய்பவராகவும், நோய்களைக் குணமாக்குபவராகவும், தங்களுக்கான உலக ஆசீர்வாதங்களைத் தருபவராகவுமே அறிந்துள்ளனர்; அப்படியே கிறிஸ்துவைப் பார்க்கின்றனர்.  ஆனால், கிறிஸ்தவம் என்பது செழிப்பின் மார்க்கமல்ல, அது சிலுவை சுமக்கும் அனுபவத்தையே நமக்கு அடையாளம் காட்டுகின்றதாக இருக்கின்றது. 

ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை நாம் மீட்பராக, நமது பாவங்களை மன்னிப்பவராக அறியவேண்டியது அவசியம். இதுவே ஆவிக்குரிய பார்வையாகும். மற்றபடி அவரிடமிருந்து எதையாவது பெற்றுக்கொள்ளவேண்டும் என அவரைத் தேடுவது கிறிஸ்துவை மாம்சத்தின்படி அறிவதாகும். கிறிஸ்துவை மாம்சத்தின்படி அறிந்தவன் ஆவிக்குரியவனல்ல. "ஆகையால், இதுமுதற்கொண்டு, நாங்கள் ஒருவனையும் மாம்சத்தின்படி அறியோம்; நாங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவையும் மாம்சத்தின்படி அறிந்திருந்தாலும், இனி ஒருபோதும் அவரை மாம்சத்தின்படி அறியோம்." ( 2 கொரிந்தியர் 5 : 16 )

எனவேதான் இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் "இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவை, சிலுவையில் அறையப்பட்ட அவரையேயன்றி, வேறொன்றையும் உங்களுக்குள்ளே அறியாதிருக்கத் தீர்மானித்திருந்தேன்" என்கின்றார். கிறிஸ்து செய்த அற்புத அதிசயங்களை மேன்மைப்படுத்தி அதனையே சொல்லிக்கொண்டிருப்பதைவிட  சிலுவையில் அறையப்பட்டவராக நாம் கிறிஸ்துவை பார்க்கவேண்டும். காரணம், "நம்முடைய மீறுதல்களினிமித்தம் அவர் காயப்பட்டு, நம்முடைய அக்கிரமங்களினிமித்தம் அவர் நொறுக்கப்பட்டார்; நமக்குச் சமாதானத்தை உண்டுபண்ணும் ஆக்கினை அவர்மேல் வந்தது; அவருடைய தழும்புகளால் குணமாகிறோம்." ( ஏசாயா 53 : 5 ) இதனையே நாம் அறியவேண்டும். 

எனவேதான் சிலுவையில் அறையப்பட்ட அவரையேயன்றி, வேறொன்றையும் உங்களுக்குள்ளே அறியாதிருக்கத் தீர்மானித்திருந்தேன் என்கின்றார் பவுல். அதாவது, நமக்காக இரத்தம் சிந்தி, சிலுவை மரணத்தை ஏற்றுக்கொண்ட  கிறிஸ்துவின் இந்தத் தியாக அன்பைத்தவிர இதற்குமேல் கிறிஸ்துவைக்குறித்து நீங்கள் எதனையும் அறிவதை நான் விரும்பவில்லை என்கின்றார் பவுல் அப்போஸ்தலர். 

அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் கிறிஸ்துவை எப்படிப் பார்க்கின்றோம் என்பதனை நிதானித்துப்பார்ப்போம்.  ஆசீர்வாதங்களைத் தருபவராக, நோய்களைக் குணமாக்குபவராக, அதிசயங்களை செய்பவராக மட்டுமே நாம் அவரைப் பார்ப்போமானால் நாம் பரிதபிக்கக்கூடியவர்களாகவே இருப்போம். காரணம், அப்படிப்பார்க்கும்போது நமது பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட முடியாது; நமது பாவ வாழ்க்கையிலிருந்து நாம் விடுபடமுடியாது. 

கிறிஸ்துவை நமக்காக, நமது பாவங்களுக்காக,  சிலுவையில் அறையப்பட்டவராக பார்க்கப் பழகுவோம். அப்போது மட்டுமே நாம் நமது பாவ வாழ்க்கையிலிருந்து விடுபட்டு மீட்பு அனுபவத்தைப் பெறமுடியும்.

Meditation - 2035

"AATHAVAN" | September 04, Friday 2026

"For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified." (1 Corinthians 2:2)

Today, most Christian believers and pastors know the Lord Jesus Christ only as a miracle worker, a healer, and a giver of worldly blessings; that is how they view Him. However, Christianity is not a gospel of prosperity; rather, it reveals to us the experience of bearing the cross.

It is essential that we know the Lord Jesus Christ as our Redeemer who forgives our sins. This is the spiritual perspective. Seeking Him merely to receive something from Him is knowing Christ according to the flesh. Anyone who knows Christ according to the flesh is not spiritual.

"Therefore, from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer." (2 Corinthians 5:16)

That is why the Apostle Paul states in today's meditation verse, "For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified." Rather than exalting and constantly speaking about the miracles and wonders Christ performed, we must look at Him as the One who was crucified. For,

"But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastisement for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5)

This is what we ought to know.

Therefore, Paul says that he determined to know nothing except Him crucified. In other words, the Apostle Paul is saying: beyond this sacrificial love of Christ—who shed His blood and accepted death on a cross for us—I do not wish for you to know anything else about Him.

Beloved, let us examine how we view Christ. If we view Him only as the giver of blessings, the healer of sicknesses, and the worker of miracles, we are to be pitied. Viewing Him only in that way means our sins cannot be forgiven, and we cannot be set free from our sinful life.

Let us learn to see Christ as the One who was crucified for us and for our sins. Only then can we be set free from a life of sin and receive the experience of salvation.

🦋 Meditation verse - பிலிப்பியர் 2: 5 / Philippians 2:5

 தியானம் - 2034

"ஆதவன்" செப்டம்பர் 03 வியாழன் 2026

"கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவிலிருந்த சிந்தையே உங்களிலும் இருக்கக்கடவது;" ( பிலிப்பியர் 2: 5)

இன்று மனிதர்கள் சிலருக்குப்  பதவிகள் கிடைக்கும்போது அவர்களது செயல்கள் அற்பத்தனமாக மாறிவிடுவதை நாம் பார்க்கின்றோம். அரசாங்க அலுவலகத்தில் கடைநிலை ஊழியராகப் பதவி கிடைத்துவிட்டால்கூட தங்களது பெருமையை நிலைநிறுத்த சிலர் பல்வேறு  காரியங்களில் ஈடுபடுவதை நாம் பார்க்கின்றோம். ஆனால் பலரது வாழ்வில் அவர்கள் மேலான ஆசீர்வாதத்தினைப் பெறமுடியாததற்குக் காரணம் அவர்களது இந்தப் பெருமையே. ஏனெனில் தேவன் பெருமையுள்ளவர்களுக்கு எதிராகவே இருக்கின்றார்.  

எனவேதான் அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுரு, "அந்தப்படி, இளைஞரே, மூப்பருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியுங்கள். நீங்களெல்லாரும் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் கீழ்ப்படிந்து, மனத்தாழ்மையை அணிந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்; பெருமையுள்ளவர்களுக்கு தேவன் எதிர்த்து நிற்கிறார், தாழ்மையுள்ளவர்களுக்கோ கிருபை அளிக்கிறார்" (1 பேதுரு 5: 5) என்று கூறுகின்றார். ஆம், தாழ்மையே தேவன்  விரும்பும் மேலான குணம்; அதுவே தேவ கிருபையினை நாம்பெற்றுக்கொள்ள வழி. இந்த கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவிலிருந்த சிந்தையே உங்களிலும் இருக்கக்கடவது என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

ஒருமுறை ஒரு ஆலயத்துக்குச் சென்றபோது மின்விசிறி ஒன்றினைக் காணிக்கையாகக் கொடுத்த ஒருவர் அந்த மின்விசிறியின் மூன்று இறக்கைகளிலும் தங்களது குடும்பத்து உறுப்பினர்களது பெயரை பொறித்திருந்ததை  பார்த்தபோது இப்படியும் இழிகுணம் கொண்டவர்கள் இருப்பார்களா என்று ஆச்சரியப்பட்டேன். மனிதர்களாகிய நமக்கே இது இப்படி அற்பத்தனமாகத் தெரியுமானால் தேவனது பார்வையில் இத்தகைய குணங்கள் எப்படி இருக்கும்!!!

கிறிஸ்துவைக்குறித்து, "அவர் தேவனுடைய ரூபமாயிருந்தும், தேவனுக்குச் சமமாயிருப்பதைக் கொள்ளையாடின பொருளாக எண்ணாமல், தம்மைத்தாமே வெறுமையாக்கி, அடிமையின் ரூபமெடுத்து, மனுஷர் சாயலானார்." ( பிலிப்பியர் 2: 6, 7) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். உலகத்தையே படைத்து ஆளும் தேவகுமாரனாகிய கிறிஸ்து ஒரு அடிமைபோல மாறினாரென்றால் அவரது தாழ்மை எத்தகையது என்று எண்ணிப்பாருங்கள். இந்த கிறிஸ்துவின்  சிந்தையே உங்களிலும் இருக்கக்கடவது என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

மட்டுமல்ல, காணக்கூடாத தேவனாகிய அவர் மனிதனாக தோன்றியது மட்டுமல்ல, அடிமைபோல அனைத்திலும் தன்னைக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து தாழ்த்தினார். "அவர் மனுஷரூபமாய்க் காணப்பட்டு, மரணபரியந்தம், அதாவது சிலுவையின் மரணபரியந்தமும் கீழ்ப்படிந்தவராகி, தம்மைத்தாமே தாழ்த்தினார்." ( பிலிப்பியர் 2: 8)

எனக்குத் தெரிந்த ஒருவர் கல்வி அதிகாரியாகப் பணியாற்றினார். திருமண வீடுகளிலும், இதர பொது நிகழ்ச்சிகளிலும் நண்பர்களோடு பேசிக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது, "நான் தினசரி எத்தனை கோப்புகள் (files)  பார்க்கின்றேன் தெரியுமா? எத்தனை கையொப்பம் இடுகிறேன் தெரியுமா? நமது ஊரில் எவன் இப்படி இத்தனைக் கோப்புகளை பார்த்திருப்பான்; எவன் இத்தனைக் கையொப்பம் போட்டிருப்பான்?" என்று கூறிக்கொள்வார். அவரது நண்பர்கள் அதனைக் கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தாலும் அவர் சற்று அப்புறம் சென்றபின் அவரைக்குறித்துக் கேலிபேசிச் சிரிப்பார்கள். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, அற்பமான பெருமை நமக்கு இருக்குமானால் நாம் மற்றவர்களால் அற்பமாகவே எண்ணப்படுவோம். தன்னைத் தாழ்த்திய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து மிகவே உயர்த்தப்பட்டார். "ஆதலால் தேவன் எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் மேலாக அவரை உயர்த்தி, இயேசுவின் நாமத்தில் வானோர் பூதலத்தோர் பூமியின் கீழானோருடைய முழங்கால் யாவும் முடங்கும்படிச் செய்தார்." ( பிலிப்பியர் 2: 9, 10)

இத்தகைய மாம்சீக பெருமை நமக்கு இருக்குமானால் அதனை நம்மைவிட்டு நீக்குவோம். "தேவனுடைய ஆவி உங்களில் வாசமாயிருந்தால், நீங்கள் மாம்சத்துக்குட்பட்டவர்களாயிராமல் ஆவிக்குட்பட்டவர்களாயிருப்பீர்கள். கிறிஸ்துவின் ஆவியில்லாதவன் அவருடையவனல்ல." ( ரோமர் 8: 9)  கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவிலிருந்த சிந்தையே நம்மிலும் இருக்கும்படி நம்மைக் காத்துக்கொள்வோம்.

"Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus," (Philippians 2:5)

Today, we observe that when some people obtain certain positions, their actions become petty. We see that even if someone gets an entry-level position in a government office, they engage in various display tactics to assert their status. For many, the very reason they are unable to receive higher blessings in life is this pride. For God is opposed to the proud.

That is why the Apostle Peter says:

"You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble." (1 Peter 5:5)

Yes, humility is the higher virtue that God desires; it is the pathway for us to receive God’s grace. Today’s meditation verse tells us, "Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus."

Once, while visiting a church, I saw that a person who donated a ceiling fan had inscribed the names of their family members across its three blades. I was astonished that people could possess such petty tendencies. If this appears so trivial to us as human beings, how must such attitudes look in the sight of God?

Regarding Christ, we read:

"...who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men." (Philippians 2:6-7)

Consider the extent of His humility: if the Son of God, who created and rules the world, humbled Himself to become like a bond-servant, what a profound humility that is! It is this mind of Christ that today's scripture exhorts us to carry.

Furthermore, He who is the invisible God not only appeared as a man, but He also submitted and humbled Himself in all things like a servant.

"Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross." (Philippians 2:8)

An acquaintance of mine served as an education officer. During conversations with friends at weddings or public gatherings, he would often boast, "Do you know how many files I process every day? Do you know how many signatures I put? Has anyone in our town processed this many files or signed these many documents?" While his friends listened to him present, the moment he walked away, they would mock and laugh at him.

Yes, dear ones, if we harbour petty pride, we will only be regarded as petty by others. But Jesus Christ, who humbled Himself, was exalted to the highest place.

"For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth," (Philippians 2:9-10)

If we have such worldly, fleshly pride within us, let us cast it away.

"However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him." (Romans 8:9)

Let us guard ourselves so that the mind which was in Christ Jesus may also abide in us.
