"ஆதவன்"ஆகஸ்ட் 02, ஞாயிறு 2026
"கர்த்தர் நல்லவர் என்பதை ருசித்துப்பாருங்கள்; அவர்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாயிருக்கிற மனுஷன் பாக்கியவான்." ( சங்கீதம் 34 : 8 )
ஒரு சிறிய உதாரணத்துடன் இன்றைய தியானம் கூறும் சத்தியத்தை விளக்கலாம் என்று எண்ணுகின்றேன். ஒரு மனிதனுக்கு இந்த உலகத்தில் யாரும் பார்த்திராத உண்டிராத ஒருவித மரத்தின் பழம் ஒன்று கிடைத்தது. அதனை அவன் சாப்பிட்டுப் பார்த்தபோது அதன் சுவையினைப்போல அதுவரை அவன் எதனையுமே உண்டதில்லை என்று தெரிந்தது. அந்தப் பழத்தின் சுவையினை அவன் தனக்குத் தெரிந்தவர்களிடம் கூறி விளக்க முயன்றான். ஆனால் அவனால் விளக்க முடியவில்லை. காரணம் எந்த பழத்தின் சுவையுடனும் அதனை அவனால் எந்த சுவையையும் ஒப்பிட்டுக் கூறி மற்றவர்களைப் புரியவைக்க முடியவில்லை. எனவே அவன் மற்றவர்களிடம் கூறினான், "இதன் சுவையை நான் உங்களுக்குப் புரியவைக்க முடியாது; இதில் சிறிது சாப்பிட்டுப்பாருங்கள்."
ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இதுபோன்றதுதான் தேவனை நாம் அறிந்து சுவைப்பது. தேவனை நாம் அனுபவித்து உணரும் அந்தச் சுவையினை நாம் மற்றவர்களுக்கு எளிதாகச் சொல்லிப் புரியவைக்க முடியாது. எனவேதான் நற்செய்தி அறிவிப்பாளர்கள் பிறரிடம் தேவனை அறிந்துகொள்ளும் வழியினைக்கூறி மற்றவர்கள் அவரைச் சுவைக்கவைத்திட முயல்கின்றனர். தேவன் படித்தும், போதித்தும் சுவைக்கக்கூடியவரல்ல. அனுபவித்து அறிந்து சுவைக்கவேண்டியவர்.
ஆலயங்களில் சென்று ஆராதிப்பதால் நாம் தேவனைச் சுவைக்க முடியாது. ஆனால் அவரை நமது வாழ்வில் அவரை அறிந்துகொள்வதன்மூலம் சுவைக்கமுடியும். அவர் தரும் அனுபவங்கள், அவர் நம்மோடு இடைப்பட்டு நம்மோடு நெருக்கமாக இருக்கும் உறவு, ஒரு தாயைப்போல நமது துன்பங்களில் அவர் நம்மைத் தேற்றும் அனுபவங்கள், அன்றாடம் நமது வாழ்வில் அவர் தரும் ஆலோசனைகள், வழிகாட்டுதல்கள் போன்றவற்றை நாம் அவரை அறிவதன்மூலம் பெறமுடியும். இவற்றை வெறும் ஆலய ஆராதனைகள் மூலம் பெறமுடியாது. ஆனால், தேவனை தனிப்பட்டமுறையில் நாம் அறிந்துகொள்ளும்போது, எப்படி நாம் முன்பு உதாரணத்தில் கூறிய அந்த மனிதன் பழத்தினைச் சுவைத்தானோ அப்படி நாமும் அவரைச் சுவைக்கமுடியும்.
தாவீதுராஜா இப்படித் தேவனைத் தனது வாழ்வில் சுவைத்து அறிந்ததால் அவர் மற்றவர்களுக்கு இன்றைய தியான வசனம் மூலம், "கர்த்தர் நல்லவர் என்பதை ருசித்துப்பாருங்கள்" என்று அழைப்புவிடுகின்றார். கர்த்தர் நல்லவர் என்பதனை ஆராதித்துப்பாருங்கள் என்றோ, ஜெபக்கூட்டங்களில் கலந்து பாருங்கள் என்றோ, உபவாசம் இருந்துபாருங்கள் என்றோ கூறாமல் அவரை நீங்களே ருசித்துப்பாருங்கள் என்று கூறுகின்றார்.
கர்த்தரை வெறுமனே ஆராதிப்பவர்களுக்கும் ருசித்துப்பார்த்தவர்களுக்கும் வித்தியாசம் உண்டு. யோபுவும் அவர் மனைவியும் ஒரே தேவனைத்தான் வழிபட்டனர். ஆனால், யோபு கர்த்தரை ருசித்தவர், அவர் மனைவியோ வெறுமனே கர்த்தரை ஆராதித்தவள். எனவேதான் வாழ்வில் இக்கட்டான வேளை வந்தபோது அவள் யோபுவிடம், "நீர் இன்னும் உம்முடைய உத்தமத்தில் உறுதியாய் நிற்கிறீரோ? தேவனைத் தூஷித்து ஜீவனை விடும் என்றாள்." ( யோபு 2 : 9 ) ஆனால் கர்த்தர் நல்லவர் என்பதனை ருசித்திருந்த யோபு கர்த்தர்மேல் கொண்டிருந்த விசுவாசத்தில் உறுதியாக இருந்தார்.
மட்டுமல்ல, இன்றைய தியான வசனம் தொடர்ந்து கூறுகின்றது, "அவர்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாயிருக்கிற மனுஷன் பாக்கியவான்" என்று. பாக்கியவான் என்றால் பேறுபெற்றவன் என்று பொருள். செல்வச் செழிப்புடன் எல்லா நலன்களையும் பெற்று வாழும் மனிதர்களை நாம், "அவனுக்கென்ன, அவன் கொடுத்துவைத்தவன்" என்று கூறுவோமே அதுபோல இப்படித் தேவனை ருசித்து அவர்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாக இருப்பவர்கள் கொடுத்து வைத்தவர்கள் என்று பொருள். கர்த்தரை வாழ்வில் ருசித்திருந்ததால்தான் அப்போஸ்தலர்கள் அந்தச் சுவைக்காக தங்கள் உயிரையும் கையளித்தனர்.
வெறுமனே ஆராதனை கிறிஸ்தவர்களாக வாழாமல், உதட்டளவில் "இயேசுவே உம்மை நேசிக்கின்றேன்" என்று கூறாமல் உளமார அவரை நேசித்து வாழ்வோம்; "ஆண்டவரே, உமது மேலான அனுபவங்களை எனக்குத் தாரும், என்னோடு வந்து தங்கியிரும்" என்று வேண்டுவோம்; கிறிஸ்துவைத்தவிர வேறு எவரையும் எதனையும் நோக்காமல் இருப்போம்; அப்போது நாம் அவரை வாழ்வில் ருசிக்கமுடியும். மட்டுமல்ல, நாம் பேறுபெற்றவர்களாக வாழவும் முடியும்.

"AATHAVAN" –

"O taste and see
that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him."
(Psalm 34:8)
I would like to explain the
truth presented in today's meditation with a simple illustration. A man came
across a fruit from a unique tree that no one in the world had ever seen or
tasted before. When he ate it, he realized that he had never tasted anything
like it in his entire life. He tried to explain its taste to his acquaintances,
but he simply could not. The reason was that he could not compare its flavour
to any other fruit or taste to help others understand. Therefore, he told them,
"I cannot make you understand its taste; try taking a little bite of it
yourselves."
Yes, dear friends, knowing
and tasting God is just like this. We cannot easily explain to others the flavour
and sweetness of experiencing God. That is why evangelists show others the way
to know God, so that they may taste Him for themselves. God cannot be fully
tasted merely through reading or teaching; He is to be tasted and known through
personal experience.
We cannot taste God merely
by attending church services. However, we can taste Him by truly knowing Him in
our lives. The experiences He grants us, the intimate relationship where He
draws near and interacts with us, the comfort He offers in our troubles like a
mother, and the daily counsel and guidance He provides in our lives—all these
can be received by knowing Him. These cannot be acquired through empty church
rituals alone. But when we come to know God on a personal level, just as the
man in our illustration tasted the fruit, we too can taste Him.
Because King David had
personally tasted and known God in his life, he invites others through today's
meditation verse, saying: "O taste and see that the LORD is good."
He does not say, "Try worshiping to see that the LORD is good," or
"Try attending prayer meetings," or "Try fasting." Instead,
he says, "Taste Him for yourselves."
There is a difference
between those who merely worship the Lord outward and those who have tasted
Him. Job and his wife both worshiped the same God. However, Job had tasted the
Lord, whereas his wife was merely an outward worshiper. That is why, when a time
of great crisis came upon their lives, she said to Job: "Dost thou
still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die." (Job 2:9). But Job,
who had tasted that the Lord is good, remained steadfast in his faith in God.
Furthermore, today’s
meditation verse continues by saying: "Blessed is the man that trusteth
in him." To be blessed means to be highly favoured or fortunate. Just
as we might say of people living in great prosperity and enjoying all good
things, "How fortunate he is!", those who taste God and put their
trust in Him are truly fortunate and blessed. It was because the apostles had
tasted the Lord in their lives that they willingly laid down their lives for
the sake of that divine sweetness.
Let us not live merely as
Sunday-service Christians, nor utter insincere words saying, "Jesus, I
love You," with only our lips. Instead, let us love Him with all our heart
and pray: "Lord, grant me Your sublime experiences; come and abide with
me." Let us fix our eyes on no one and nothing other than Christ.
Then, we will be able to taste Him in our daily lives, and we will live as
truly blessed people.
