🦋 Meditation verse - ஓசியா 14 : 9 / Hosea 14:9

 தியானம் - 2024

"ஆதவன்" ஆகஸ்ட் 24  திங்கள் 2026

"இவைகளை உணரத்தக்க ஞானமுள்ளவன் யார்? இவைகளைக் கிரகிக்கத்தக்க புத்தியுள்ளவன் யார்? கர்த்தருடைய வழிகள் செம்மையானவைகள், நீதிமான்கள் அவைகளில் நடப்பார்கள்; பாதகரோவென்றால் அவைகளில் இடறிவிழுவார்கள்." ( ஓசியா 14 : 9 )

தேவன் தனது பிள்ளைகளுக்கு வைத்துள்ள வழிகள் மேலானவைகள், ஆனால் இடுக்கமானவைகள். இந்த இடுக்கமான வழியிலேயேதான் நமது ஆவிக்குரிய பயணம் அமையவேண்டும். இதனையே ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து, "இடுக்கமான வாசல்வழியாய் உட்பிரவேசியுங்கள்; கேட்டுக்குப்போகிற வாசல் விரிவும், வழி விசாலமுமாயிருக்கிறது; அதின் வழியாய்ப் பிரவேசிக்கிறவர்கள் அநேகர். ஜீவனுக்குப்போகிற வாசல் இடுக்கமும், வழி நெருக்கமுமாயிருக்கிறது; அதைக் கண்டுபிடிக்கிறவர்கள் சிலர்."  ( மத்தேயு 7 : 13-14 ) என்று கூறினார். 

இதனையே இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில், இவைகளை உணரத்தக்க ஞானமுள்ளவன் யார்? இவைகளைக் கிரகிக்கத்தக்க புத்தியுள்ளவன் யார்? என்று கேள்வியெழுப்புகின்றது.  

நீதிவாழ்க்கை வாழ்பவர்களுக்கு கர்த்தரின் நீதிவழிகள் கடினமாகத் தெரியாது. ஆனால் துன்மார்க்கர்களுக்கு அப்படியல்ல, அந்த நீதியின் வழிகள் அவர்களுக்கு இடறுதலுக்குரிய வழியாகவே இருக்கும். அவர்களுக்கு நாம் நேர்வழியைப் போதித்தாலும் அதனை உணர்ந்துகொள்ளமாட்டார்கள். எனவேதான் அவர்களை இன்றைய தியான வசனம் பாதகர்கள் என்று கூறுகின்றது.  அவர்கள் எந்த நீதி வழியையும் அறியாமல் படுபாதக செயல்களையும் செய்யத் தயங்கமாட்டார்கள். 

இத்தகைய துன்மார்க்க பாதகர்களைக் கட்டுப்படுத்தவே பலவித சட்டங்கள் இயற்றப்பட்டுள்ளன. அவர்களுக்கு எத்தனை பெரிய இரக்கம் காண்பித்தாலும் அவர்கள் தங்கள் வழிகளை மாற்றிக்கொள்ளமாட்டார்கள். ஆம், "துன்மார்க்கனுக்குத் தயைசெய்தாலும் நீதியைக் கற்றுக்கொள்ளான்; நீதியுள்ள தேசத்திலும் அவன் அநியாயஞ்செய்து கர்த்தருடைய மகத்துவத்தைக் கவனியாதேபோகிறான்." ( ஏசாயா 26 : 10 )

ஆனால், கர்த்தருடைய வழிகள் செம்மையானவைகள், நீதிமான்கள் அவைகளில் நடப்பார்கள் என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம்கூறுகின்றபடி, கிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தத்தால் மீட்கப்பட்டுள்ள நீதிமான்களாகிய நாம்  அவரது வழிகளில் நடக்கவே அழைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளோம். ஆவியானவர் நம்மை அந்த வழியில் நடத்துகின்றார். எனவேதான் "ஆகையால், உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய வழிகளில் நடந்து, அவருக்குப் பயப்படும்படிக்கு, அவருடைய கற்பனைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளக்கடவாய்." (உபாகமம் 8:6) என்று வேதம் நமக்கு அறிவுறுத்துகின்றது. 

 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இவைகளை உணரத்தக்க ஞானமுள்ளவர்களாகவும் இவைகளைக் கிரகிக்கத்தக்க புத்தியுள்ளவர்களாகவும் நாம் வாழவேண்டியது அவசியம்.  கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தைகள் நமக்குள் வேரூன்றி வளரவேண்டியது அவசியம். ஆவியானவர் நமக்கு அவற்றைத் தெளிவுபடுத்தி நம்மை அந்த வழியில் நடத்தவேண்டியது அவசியம். அப்போதுதான் நாம் தேவ ஞானத்தில் வளர்ந்து பாதக செயல்களுக்கு விலகிடமுடியும். தேவ ஆவியானவரின் வழிநடத்துதலுக்கு நம்மை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து ஜெபிப்போம்.

“AATHAVAN” – August 24, Monday, 2026

“Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.” — Hosea 14:9 (KJV)

The ways that God has ordained for His children are higher and better, yet they are narrow and demanding. It is along this narrow way that our spiritual journey must be lived. Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself said:

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” — Matthew 7:13–14 (KJV)

This is precisely what today’s meditation verse asks: “Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them?”

For those who live a righteous life, the righteous ways of the Lord will not appear difficult or burdensome. But it is not so with the wicked. The ways of righteousness become a stumbling block to them. Even when the right path is taught to them, they fail to understand or accept it. That is why today’s meditation verse refers to them as transgressors. Without knowing or following the ways of righteousness, they do not hesitate to commit even the most grievous acts of wickedness.

It is to restrain such wicked and transgressive people that various laws have been enacted. Yet, however much mercy and kindness are shown to them, they often refuse to change their ways. Indeed, the Scripture says:

“Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD.” — Isaiah 26:10 (KJV)

But, as today’s meditation verse declares, “the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them.” We, who have been redeemed by the precious blood of Christ and made righteous through Him, are called to walk in His ways. The Holy Spirit leads us along this path. Therefore, the Word of God instructs us:

“Thou shalt keep therefore the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.” — Deuteronomy 8:6 (KJV)

Yes, dear beloved, it is essential that we live as people who are wise enough to understand these things and prudent enough to discern them. The Word of the Lord must take root in us and grow within our hearts. It is equally essential that the Holy Spirit enlighten our understanding and lead us in the right way.

Only then can we grow in the wisdom of God and turn away from sinful and transgressive ways. Let us surrender ourselves completely to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and pray that He may lead us continually in the ways of the Lord.

🦋 Meditation verse - சங்கீதம் 119 : 71 / Psalm 119:71

"ஆதவன்" ஆகஸ்ட் 23  ஞாயிறு 2026

"நான் உபத்திரவப்பட்டது எனக்கு நல்லது; அதனால் உமது பிரமாணங்களைக் கற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்." ( சங்கீதம் 119 : 71 )

உபத்திரவங்கள் நல்லவை என்று யாரும் கூறமாட்டார்கள். பொதுவாக நாம் எல்லா காரியங்களிலும் உபத்திரவப்படாமல் எளிதாக எதையும் அடைந்திடவே விரும்புவோம். ஆனால் ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கை அப்படிப்பட்டதல்ல. உபத்திரவங்கள் மூலமே நாம் மேலான ஆவிக்குரிய அனுபவங்களைப்  பெறுகின்றோம். தற்போது நாம்  உபத்திரவப்படுவதுபோலத் தெரிந்தாலும் பிற்காலத்தில் சங்கீத ஆசிரியர் கூறுவதுபோல நாமும், நான் உபத்திரவப்பட்டது எனக்கு நல்லது என்று கூறுவோம். 

பள்ளி, கல்லூரிகளில் மாணவர்களுக்குத் தேர்வுகள் நடத்துவார்கள். தேர்வுகள் ஒரு சோதனை. இந்த மாணவன் அல்லது மாணவி மேற்கொண்டு மேற்படிப்புக்குத் தகுதியானவர்தானா என சோதிக்கும் சோதனை. ஒரு சோதனையினை நாம் மேற்கொள்ளும்போது வாழ்வின் அடுத்தக் கட்டத்துக்கு முன்னேறுகின்றோம். மேலும் இந்தத் தேர்வுகள் நம்மை அடுத்தகட்டத்துக்குக் கொண்டு செல்லும்போது நமது மகிழ்ச்சி அதிகமாகும். தேர்வுபோன்ற சோதனைகள் நம்மை ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் மென்மேலும் முன்னேற உதவுகின்றன. 

நான் கல்லூரிப் படிப்பை முடித்து வெளிவந்த உடனேயே என்னோடு பயின்ற மாணவர்கள் பலரும், எனது ஊரில் என்வயதுடைய பலரும் நல்ல வேலையில் சேர்ந்து சம்பாதிக்க ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டனர். ஆனால் எனக்கு எந்த வேலையும் கிடைக்கவில்லை. அது அப்போது எனக்கு மிகப்பெரிய துன்பமாகத் தெரிந்தது. சோர்ந்துபோய், மனம் வெறுத்துப் போயிருந்தேன். தெரிந்தவர்கள், உறவினர்கள் வீட்டு விசேஷங்களுக்குச் செல்வதுகூடப் பிடிக்கவில்லை.  கவலையுடன் வீட்டிலேயே முடங்கிக்கிடந்தேன். ஆனால், அந்தச் சூழல்தான் நான் தேவனை அறிய உதவியது. பின்னர் நான் கூறினேன், "எனக்கு உலகவேலை கிடைக்காமல் போனது நல்லது, கிடைத்திருந்தால் நான் தேவனை அறிந்திருக்கமாட்டேன்." ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, சிலவேளைகளில் நமது நன்மைக்காகத் தேவன் இப்படி நம்மை உபத்திரவத்தின் பாதையில் நடத்துவார். 

இப்படி தேவன் நம்மை உபத்திரவப்படுத்துவது நமது  நன்மைக்கே. இதனையே பக்தனான யோபுவும், "அவர் என்னைச் சோதித்தபின் நான் பொன்னாக விளங்குவேன் " (யோபு 23:1) என்று கூறுகின்றார்.  தங்கச் சுரங்கத்தில் இருந்து வெட்டியெடுக்கப்படும் தங்கம் முதலில் சாதாரண மண்போலவே இருக்கும். அதனையே நெருப்பிலிட்டு உருக்கி தங்கமாக மாற்றுகின்றனர்.  நகைக் கடைகளில் அழகுடன் மின்னும் தங்க நகைகள் கடந்துவந்த துன்பத்தின் பாதைகள் நமக்குத் தெரியாது. அக்கினியில் புடமிடப்பட்டு, அடித்து வளைத்து நகையாக உருவாக்கப்படுகின்றன. அதன்பின்னரே அவை அழகுடன் நகைக்கடைகளில் பார்வையாளர்களைக் கவரும்வண்ணம் மின்னுகின்றன. 

நமது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்விலும் நாம் தேவனுக்கு ஏற்புடையத் தகுதியுள்ளவர்கள் ஆகவேண்டுமானால் தேவன் தரும் சோதனைகளில் வெற்றி பெற வேண்டியது அவசியம்.  இதனையே அப்போஸ்தலரான யாக்கோபு, "சோதனையைச் சகிக்கிற மனுஷன் பாக்கியவான்; அவன் உத்தமனென்று விளங்கினபின்பு கர்த்தர் தம்மிடத்தில் அன்புகூருகிறவர்களுக்கு வாக்குத்தத்தம்பண்ணின ஜீவகிரீடத்தைப் பெறுவான்." ( யாக்கோபு 1 : 12 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார்.

இதனை உணர்ந்ததால் சங்கீத ஆசிரியர் "நான் உபத்திரவப்பட்டது எனக்கு நல்லது; அதினால் உமது பிரமாணங்களைக் கற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்." என்று கூறுகின்றார். தேவனது பிரமாணங்களை அதாவது கட்டளைகளைகளுக்குக்  கீழ்ப்படியும் முறைகளை  நாம் உபத்திரங்களின்மூலம் கற்றுக்கொள்கின்றோம்.  எனவேதான்  அப்படி நான் உபாத்திரவப்பட்டது நல்லது என்கின்றார் இந்தச் சங்கீத ஆசிரியர். 

நாம் துன்பங்கள், துயரங்களில் அகப்படுவது இயற்கை. ஆனால் நாம் மற்றவர்களைப்போல் துன்பங்களைக்  கண்டு சோர்ந்துபோகாமல் அந்தத் துன்பங்கள் மூலம் தேவன் நமக்கு அளிக்கும் செய்திகளை அறிந்துகொள்ள முயலவேண்டும். நமது வாழ்க்கைப் பாதைகளைத் திருத்திக்கொள்ள முயலவேண்டும். ஆம், நாம் உபத்திரவப்படுவது நல்லது, அதனால் தேவனது பிரமாணங்களைக் கற்றுக்கொள்கின்றோம்,

"AATHAVAN" — August 23

"It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes." — Psalm 119:71

No one would say that afflictions are good. Generally, we desire to attain everything easily without suffering through anything. But spiritual life is not like that. It is through afflictions that we receive higher spiritual experiences. Even if it seems right now that we are suffering, in the future, like the Psalmist, we too will say, "It is good for me that I have been afflicted."

In schools and colleges, examinations are conducted for students. Exams are a test—a test to determine whether a student is eligible to proceed to higher studies. When we undergo a test, we advance to the next stage of life. Furthermore, when these exams bring us to the next level, our joy increases. Tests like examinations help us progress more and more in our spiritual life.

Immediately after I graduated from college, many students who studied with me and many people of my age in my hometown joined good jobs and started earning. But I did not get any job. That seemed like a huge distress to me at the time. I was discouraged and heart-broken. I did not even like going to functions at the homes of acquaintances or relatives. I stayed shut inside my house with sorrow. However, it was that very situation that helped me know God. Later I said, "It is good that I did not get a worldly job; if I had gotten one, I would not have known God." Yes, beloved, sometimes God leads us on the path of affliction for our own good.

God bringing us through affliction in this manner is for our benefit. This is why the devotee Job also says, "When he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold." (Job 23:10) Gold extracted from a gold mine initially looks like ordinary dirt. It is put into the fire and melted to be converted into gold. We do not know the path of suffering that the beautiful, shining gold ornaments in jewellery shops have passed through. They are refined in fire, beaten, and bent to be shaped into jewellery. Only then do they shine beautifully in jewellery shops to attract onlookers.

In our spiritual life as well, if we are to become suitable and acceptable to God, it is essential to overcome the tests God gives us. That is why the Apostle James says:

"Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him." — James 1:12

Realizing this, the Psalmist says, "It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes." We learn the methods of obeying God's statutes—that is, His commandments—through afflictions. That is why this Psalmist says that it was good that he was afflicted.

It is natural for us to be caught in troubles and sorrows. But instead of being discouraged by troubles like others, we should try to understand the messages God gives us through those troubles. We must try to correct our life's paths. Yes, it is good for us to be afflicted, so that we learn God's statutes.

🦋 Meditation verse - சங்கீதம் 115 : 17, 18 / Psalm 115:17, 18

"ஆதவன்" ஆகஸ்ட் 22  சனி 2026

"மரித்தவர்களும் மவுனத்தில் இறங்குகிற அனைவரும் கர்த்தரைத் துதியார்கள். நாமோ, இதுமுதல் என்றென்றைக்கும் கர்த்தரை ஸ்தோத்திரிப்போம். அல்லேலூயா." ( சங்கீதம் 115 : 17, 18 )

நாம் அதிகமான வசனங்களை அடுக்கி ஜெபிக்கத் தெரியாதவர்களாக இருக்கலாம்; அல்லது சிலவேளைகளில் துன்பங்கள், பிரச்சனைகள் நம்மை நெருக்கும்போது நம்மால் ஜெபிக்கமுடியாமலிருக்கலாம். ஆனால் தேவன் அவற்றைப் பார்ப்பதில்லை. அவர் நமது மனதினை அறிவார். நமது உள்ளத்தின் ஆழத்திலிருந்து நாம் அவரைத் துதிப்பதையே அவர் பெரிய ஜெபவிண்ணப்பமாக ஏற்றுக்கொள்கின்றார்.  துதியோடு அவர் சமூகத்தில் நாம் சேர்கின்றோம்.

நமது தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நாம் எப்போதும் துதி செய்துகொண்டு இருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். துதித்தல் என்பது வெறுமனே அவரைப் புகழ்வது மட்டுமல்ல, மாறாக அவர் நமக்குச் செய்திருக்கும் அனைத்துக் காரியங்களுக்காகவும் அவருக்கு நன்றிசெலுத்துவதுமாகும். மட்டுமல்ல, நமது வாழ்க்கையில்  நாம் செய்யும் எல்லா பணிகளுக்கிடையிலும் நாம் அவரைத் துதிக்கமுடியும். இப்படி இருப்போமானால் நாம் தவறான வழிகளில் செல்லமாட்டோம்.  

இன்றைய தியான வசனம், "மரித்தவர்களும் மவுனத்தில் இறங்குகிற அனைவரும் கர்த்தரைத் துதியார்கள்' என்று கூறுகின்றது. அதாவது, நாம் கர்த்தரைத் துதிக்காமல் வாழ்வோமென்றால் நாம் இறந்தவர்களுக்குச் சமானம். காரணம், இறந்தவர்கள்தான் துதிக்கமாட்டார்கள் என்று இந்த வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. எனவேதான் சங்கீத ஆசிரியர், "கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள்; நம்முடைய தேவனைக் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணுகிறது நல்லது, துதித்தலே இன்பமும் ஏற்றதுமாயிருக்கிறது." ( சங்கீதம் 147 : 1 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார். மரித்தவர்கள்  என்பது ஆவியில் மரித்து வாழும் மக்களைக் குறிக்கின்றது. அவர்கள் கர்த்தரை நினைக்கவுமாட்டார்கள்; துதிக்கவுமாட்டார்கள். 

சங்கீதம் 136 ஒரு துதியின் சங்கீதமாகும். அந்தச் சங்கீதத்தில் தேவனது ஒவ்வொரு மகத்துவமான காரியத்தையும் பக்தன் நினைவுகூர்ந்து துதிப்பதை நாம் பார்க்கலாம். நமது வாழ்க்கையிலும்கூட நாம் இதனைச் செயல்படுத்திப் பார்க்கலாம். நமது நினைவுதெரிந்த நாள்முதல் நமக்கு நடந்த நல்ல மற்றும் கெட்டக்  காரியங்கள் ஒவ்வொன்றையும் நினைவுகூர்ந்து தேவனுக்கு நாம் துதி செலுத்தவேண்டியது அவசியம். "எல்லாவற்றிலேயும் ஸ்தோத்திரஞ்செய்யுங்கள்; அப்படிச் செய்வதே கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குள் உங்களைக்குறித்து தேவனுடைய சித்தமாயிருக்கிறது." ( 1 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 5 : 18 )

ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் நாம் மேலான ஒரு நிலையினை அடையும்போது கர்த்தரைத் துதிப்பது நாம் சுவாசிப்பதுபோல இயற்கையாகிவிடும். வலுக்கட்டாயமாக அல்ல, மாறாக நமது இருதயம் கர்த்தரது அன்பில் நிறைந்துவிடுவதால் நம்மை அறியாமலேயே அவரை நாம் துதிப்போம்.  தாவீது இராஜா இந்த அனுபவத்தில்தான், "எனக்கு ஆலோசனை தந்த கர்த்தரைத் துதிப்பேன்; இராக்காலங்களிலும் என் உள்ளிந்திரியங்கள் என்னை உணர்த்தும்." ( சங்கீதம் 16 : 7 ) என்கின்றார். இராக்காலங்களில் படுக்கையில் விழிப்பு ஏற்படும்போது நமக்குக் கர்த்தரது நினைவு வரும். அப்போது அவரை நாம் துதிப்போம். 

சரி, இப்படித் துதிப்பதனால் என்ன பலன்? "துதிக்குப் பாத்திரராகிய கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுவேன்; அதனால் என் சத்துருக்களுக்கு நீங்கலாகி இரட்சிக்கப்படுவேன்" ( சங்கீதம் 18 : 3 ) என்கின்றார் சங்கீதக்காரர். அதாவது, நமது உலகச்சத்துருக்கள் மற்றும் ஆவிக்குரிய சத்துருக்களாகிய அலகை இவை துதிக்கும்போது நம்மைவிட்டு அகலுகின்றன. நம்மைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கும் பிரச்சனைகள் அகலுகின்றன. ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, எரிகோவின் மதில்சுவர்கள் இஸ்ரவேலர் அர்ப்பரித்துக் கர்த்தரைத் துதித்தபோது இடிந்து தகர்ந்தது.  

சிறைச்சாலையில் அடைக்கப்பட்டு தொழுமரத்தில் கால்கள் கட்டப்பட்டிருந்த நிலையில்  "நடுராத்திரியிலே பவுலும் சீலாவும் ஜெபம்பண்ணி, தேவனைத் துதித்துப்பாடினார்கள்; காவலில் வைக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் அதைக் கேட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். சடுதியிலே சிறைச்சாலையின் அஸ்திபாரங்கள் அசையும்படியாக பூமி மிகவும் அதிர்ந்தது; உடனே கதவுகளெல்லாம் திறவுண்டது; எல்லாருடைய கட்டுகளும் கழன்றுபோயிற்று." ( அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 16 : 25, 26 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, "இடைவிடாமல் ஜெபம்பண்ணுங்கள், ஸ்தோத்திரத்துடன் ஜெபத்தில் விழித்திருங்கள்." ( கொலோசெயர் 4 : 2 ) கர்த்தரைத் துதியாத, ஸ்தோத்தரிக்காத  ஆவிக்குரிய மரித்த வாழ்வு நமக்குத் தேவையில்லை.

"AATHAVAN" August 22

"The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence. But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the LORD." — Psalm 115:17-18

We may not know how to pray by lining up many scripture verses, or sometimes when afflictions and problems press upon us, we might find ourselves unable to pray. But God does not look at those things; He knows our hearts. When we praise Him from the depths of our soul, He accepts it as a great prayer request. It is with praise that we enter into His presence.

It is essential for us to praise the LORD our God at all times. Praising is not merely extolling Him, but also offering thanks for all the things He has done for us. Moreover, in the midst of all the work we do in our lives, we can praise Him. If we live in this manner, we will not go down wrong paths.

Today's meditation verse says, "The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence." That is to say, if we live without praising the LORD, we are equivalent to the dead, because this verse tells us that it is the dead who do not praise Him. That is why the Psalmist says:

"Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely." — Psalm 147:1

"The dead" refers to people who are spiritually dead. They neither think of the LORD nor praise Him.

Psalm 136 is a psalm of praise. In that psalm, we can see how the believer remembers and praises God for each of His glorious deeds. We too can practice this in our lives. From the day of our earliest memories, it is necessary that we recall every good and bad event that happened to us and offer praise to God.

"In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." — 1 Thessalonians 5:18

When we reach a higher stage in our spiritual life, praising the LORD becomes as natural as breathing. It is not forced; rather, because our hearts are filled with the love of the LORD, we praise Him instinctively. King David, in this same experience, says:

"I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons." — Psalm 16:7

When we wake up in bed during the night seasons, thoughts of the LORD come to us, and in those moments, we praise Him.

Now, what is the benefit of praising Him like this? The Psalmist says:

"I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies." — Psalm 18:3

That is, when we praise Him, our worldly enemies and our spiritual enemy, the devil, depart from us. The problems surrounding us vanish. Yes, beloved, the walls of Jericho collapsed when the Israelites shouted and praised the LORD.

When Paul and Silas were locked in prison with their feet fastened in the stocks:

"And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed." — Acts 16:25-26

Yes, beloved:

"Pray without ceasing." (1 Thessalonians 5:17) "Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;" (Colossians 4:2)

We do not need a spiritually dead life that does not praise or thank the LORD.

🦋 Meditation verse - லுூக்கா 17 : 26 / Luke 17:26

 தியானம் - 2021

"ஆதவன்" ஆகஸ்ட் 21  வெள்ளி 2026

"நோவாவின் நாட்களில் நடந்ததுபோல மனுஷகுமாரனுடைய நாட்களிலும் நடக்கும். " ( லுூக்கா 17 : 26 )

இன்றைய தினசரி செய்தித்தாட்களை வாசிக்கும்போது நாம் பல்வேறு மனிதத்தன்மையற்ற செயல்பாடுகள் ஆங்காங்கே நடைபெறுவதை வாசிக்கின்றோம். பெற்றதாயையே கொலைசெய்யும் பிள்ளைகள், தான் பெற்ற பிள்ளையையே கொலைசெய்யும் தாய்மார்கள், வயது வித்தியாசம் பார்க்காமல் நடைபெறும் கற்பழிப்புக்கள், வன்முறைகள், இயற்கைக்கு மாறுபட்ட பாலுணர்வு வக்கிர செயல்கள் நம்மைத் திகைக்கவைக்கின்றன. பெருகிவிட்ட சமூக ஊடகங்களும் இதற்குப் பெரிய உறுதுணையாக இருக்கின்றன.  

இதுபோலவே நோவாவின் நாட்களிலும் பூமியில் அக்கிரமம் பெருகி இருந்தது. அதனால் பூமியில் தான் உருவாக்கிய மக்களை அழிக்கத்  தேவன் சித்தம் கொண்டார். ஆனால் நடக்கப்போவது எதுவும் தெரியாத மக்கள் இயல்பாக நடப்பதுபோல உண்டு குடித்து பெண்கொண்டு வாழ்ந்தார்கள்.  எல்லோருமே அழிந்துபோயினர். வெள்ளம் வந்தபோது அனைவருமே அழிந்துபோயினர். "நோவா பேழைக்குள் பிரவேசித்த நாள்வரைக்கும் ஜனங்கள் புசித்துக் குடித்தார்கள், பெண்கொண்டு கொடுத்தார்கள்; ஜலப்பிரளயம் வந்து எல்லாரையும் அழித்துப்போட்டது." ( லுூக்கா 17 : 27 )

ஆனால் தேவனுக்குமுன் உத்தமனாய் நடந்த நோவாவுக்கு கடவுளின் கண்ணில் தயவு கிடைத்தது. எனவே உலகினைத் தான் அழிக்கும்போது அவனையும் அவன் குடும்பத்தையும் காப்பாற்றிட மரத்தால் ஒரு பேழை செய்யுமாறு கூறுகின்றார். அதன்படி பேழையைச் செய்து நோவாவும் அவரது குடும்பத்தினரும் காப்பாற்றப்பட்டனர். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இந்தத் தியானத்தின் ஆரம்பப் பகுதியில் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளபடி, நோவாவின் நாட்களைப்போலவே இன்றும் மக்கள் வாழ்கின்றனர். அன்பில்லாத மனிதர்கள், கொலைவெறிகள், கற்பழிப்புகள், களவு, காமவெறி போன்ற அவலட்சண வாழ்க்கையில் மக்கள் மூழ்கி இருக்கின்றனர்.  

அன்று தேவ எச்சரிப்பும் அறிவுரையும் பெற்ற நோவா பேழை செய்யும்போது அதனைப் பார்த்தவர்கள் அவரைக்  கேலி செய்திருக்கலாம். மட்டுமல்ல, அவர்கள் அவர் கூறியதை நம்பவுமில்லை மனம் திரும்பவுமில்லை. புசித்துக் குடித்தார்கள், பெண்கொண்டு கொடுத்தார்கள், இயல்பான தங்கள் வாழ்வைத் தொடர்ந்தார்கள். ஆனால் இறுதியில் மொத்தமாக அழிந்துபோனார்கள். 

இதுபோலவே லோத்தின் நாட்களிலும் மக்கள் இருந்தனர்.  எனவேதான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து, "லோத்தினுடைய நாட்களில் நடந்ததுபோலவும் நடக்கும்; ஜனங்கள் புசித்தார்கள், குடித்தார்கள், கொண்டார்கள், விற்றார்கள், நட்டார்கள், கட்டினார்கள்." ( லுூக்கா 17 : 28 ) இங்கும் லோத்து தனது மருமக்களிடம் சென்று வரவிருக்கும் அழிவினைக் கூறி எச்சரித்தார். ஆனால் அவர்கள் அதனை கேலியாக எண்ணினர். ( ஆதியாகமம் 19 : 14 )

அன்பானவர்களே, இதே நிலைதான் இன்றும் தொடர்கின்றது. இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் வருகையினைப்பற்றி கூறினால் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்று தங்களைக் கூறிக்கொள்பவர்கள்கூட நம்புவதில்லை, நம்பினாலும் தங்கள் குணங்களை மாற்றி தேவனிடம் உண்மையாய் மனம்திரும்பி வருவதில்லை. நோவா காலத்திலும் லோத்துவின் காலத்திலும் வந்த அழிவைவிடப் பெரிய அழிவு கிறிஸ்துவின் வருகைக்குமுன் வருவது உறுதி என்று வேதாகமம் கூறுகின்றது. 

உலக ஆசீர்வாதங்களைப்பெறுவதற்கே முன்னுரிமைகொடுத்து நமது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கையினை நாம் இழந்துபோய்விடக்கூடாது.  கிறிஸ்துவின் இரண்டாம் வருகையினை முன்குறித்துக் கூறப்பட்டப் பலத்  தீர்க்கதரிசனங்கள்  நிறைவேறிவிட்டன. எனவே நாம் எச்சரிக்கையாக இருந்து மனம்திரும்பவேண்டியது அவசியம். கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு நம்மை முற்றிலும் ஒப்படைப்பதே நாம் செய்யவேண்டடியது. பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரின் வழிநடத்தலுக்கு நம்மை ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பதே நாம் செய்யவேண்டியது. 

"கர்த்தருடைய உக்கிரத்தின் நாளிலே அவர்கள் வெள்ளியும் அவர்கள் பொன்னும் அவர்களைத் தப்புவிக்கமாட்டாது; அவருடைய எரிச்சலின் அக்கினியினால் தேசமெல்லாம் அழியும்; தேசத்தின் குடிகளையெல்லாம் சடிதியாய் நிர்மூலம்பண்ணுவார்." ( செப்பனியா 1 : 18 ) என எச்சரிக்கிறார்  தேவன்.

Meditation – 2021

"AATHAVAN" – August 21 Friday 2026

"And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man." (Luke 17:26)

When reading today's newspapers, we see various inhumane acts happening everywhere. Children murdering their own mothers, mothers murdering their own children, rapes happening regardless of age, violence, and unnatural sexual perversions leave us stunned. Proliferating social media plays a major role in assisting this.

Similarly, wickedness had multiplied on the earth in the days of Noah. Therefore, God purposed to destroy the people He had created on the earth. But the people, completely unaware of what was to come, lived as usual—eating, drinking, and marrying. Everyone perished. When the flood came, it destroyed them all.

"They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all." (Luke 17:27)

However, Noah, who walked uprightly before God, found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Therefore, God commanded him to build an ark of wood to save him and his family when He destroyed the world. According to God's instruction, Noah built the ark, and his family was saved.

Yes, beloved, just as mentioned in the beginning of this meditation, people today live just as they did in the days of Noah. People are immersed in a disgraceful lifestyle filled with lovelessness, murderous impulses, rapes, thefts, and lust.

Back then, when Noah received God's warning and instruction and was building the ark, those who saw him might have mocked him. Moreover, they neither believed what he said nor repented. They ate, drank, married, and continued their routine lives. But in the end, they were completely destroyed.

People lived in the same manner during the days of Lot as well. That is why Jesus Christ said:

"Likewise, also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;" (Luke 17:28)

Here too, Lot went to his sons-in-law and warned them of the impending destruction, but he seemed as one that mocked unto them. (Genesis 19:14)

Beloved, the exact same state continues today. When we speak about the coming of Jesus Christ, even those who call themselves Christians do not believe. Even if they believe, they do not change their character and genuinely repent before God. The Bible declares that a destruction greater than the ones in the times of Noah and Lot is certain to come before the return of Christ.

We must not lose our spiritual life by prioritizing worldly blessings. Many prophecies foretold regarding the second coming of Christ have already been fulfilled. Therefore, it is essential that we stay watchful and repent. Yielding ourselves completely to Christ is what we must do. Submitting ourselves to the guidance of the Holy Spirit is what we must do.

God warns:

"Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD'S wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land." (Zephaniah 1:18)

🦋 Meditation verse - 1 கொரிந்தியர் 8 : 2 / 1 Corinthians 8:2

 தியானம் - 2020

"ஆதவன்" ஆகஸ்ட் 20  வியாழன் 2026

"ஒருவன் தான் ஏதேனும் ஒன்றை அறிந்தவனென்று எண்ணிக்கொள்வானானால், ஒன்றையும் அறியவேண்டியபிரகாரமாக அவன் இன்னும் அறியவில்லை." ( 1 கொரிந்தியர் 8 : 2 )

மனிதர்கள் பலரும் தங்களது படிப்பைவைத்துத்  தங்களைத் தாங்களே மேன்மையாக எண்ணிக்கொள்கின்றனர். அதிகம் படித்துள்ளதால் தங்களுக்கு எல்லாம் தெரியும் என இறுமாப்புக்கொள்கின்றனர் சிலர். ஆனால் உண்மை என்னவென்றால் நாம் எவ்வளவுதான் படித்திருந்தாலும் பல விஷயங்களில் நாம் கல்லாதவர்களாவே இருக்கின்றோம். "கற்றது கைமண்ணளவு; கல்லாததோ கடலளவு" என்பது மெய்யான ஒரு கூற்றாகும்.

இதுபோலவே ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்விலும் இருக்கின்றது. ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் நாம் அறிந்துகொள்வதற்கு எல்லையே கிடையாது. நமக்குத் தெரிந்த ஒருசில சத்தியங்களையும் நமக்குச்  சிறுவயதுமுதல் பெற்றோர்கள் போதித்து வந்தவைகளையும் நாம் பெரும்பாலும் நம்பிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றோம். அவைகளையே உண்மை என்று எண்ணிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றோம். இப்படி நாம் இருப்போமானால் இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுவதுபோல நாம் இன்னும் ஒன்றையும் அறியவேண்டியபடி அறியவில்லை என்று பொருள். 

வேதாகாமக் கல்லூரியில் படிப்பதனாலோ, வேதாகமத்தை தினசரி வாசித்து வேதத்தின் வசனங்களை அதிகார மற்றும் வசன எண்ணுடன் கூறுவதாலோ நாம் ஆவிக்குரிய சத்தியங்களை முற்றிலும் அறிந்தவர்களல்ல.  ஆம், "நம்முடைய அறிவு குறைவுள்ளது, நாம் தீர்க்கதரிசனஞ்சொல்லுதலும் குறைவுள்ளது. நிறைவானது வரும்போது குறைவானது ஒழிந்துபோம்." ( 1 கொரிந்தியர் 13 : 9,10 ) என்று கூறியுள்ளபடி நிறைவான கிறிஸ்து நமக்குள் வரும்போது மட்டுமே நாம் அறிவில் தெளிவுள்ளவர்களாகவும் அறியவேண்டியவற்றை அறியவேண்டியபடி அறிந்தவர்களாகவும் மாறமுடியும்.   

ஒரு ஜாடியில் தண்ணீரையோ அல்லது இதர பானங்களையோ நாம் ஊற்றிவைக்கவேண்டுமானால் அந்த ஜாடி வெறுமையாக இருக்கவேண்டும். அப்போதுதான் அதில் நாம் எதனையாவது சேமிக்கமுடியும். அந்த ஜாடி ஏற்கெனவே நிரம்பியதாக இருக்குமானால் அதனுள் ஒன்றையும் சேமிக்கமுடியாது. இதுபோலவே பெரும்பாலோருக்கு அவர்களது நிரம்பிவிட்ட அறிவு மேற்கொண்டு ஆவிக்குரிய சத்தியங்களை  அறிவதற்குத் தடையாக இருக்கின்றது. நம்மை நாம் வெறுமையான பாத்திரங்களாக உணரும்போதுதான் தேவன் நமக்குள் கிரியைச்செய்து புதிய ஆவிக்குரிய சத்தியங்களை நமக்கு விளங்கவைக்கமுடியும். 

நமது படிப்பு மேன்மை, வேதாகம அறிவு இவைகளை முற்றிலும் நம்பாமல் நமது வெறுமையான நிலையை தேவனுக்குத் தாழ்மையுடன் தெரியப்படுத்துவோம். "ஆண்டவரே நான் வெறுமையான பாத்திரமாக இருக்கிறேன், எனது படிப்பும் அறிவும் குறைவுள்ளது. நான் அவற்றைப் பெரிதாகக் கருதவில்லை.  எனது வெறுமையை உமது விண்ணக ஞானத்தால் நிரப்பும். நான் அறியவேண்டிய ஆவிக்குரிய உண்மைகளை அறியவேண்டியபடி அறிந்துகொள்ள உதவிசெய்யும்" என வேண்டுதல்செய்வோம். 

நமது தாழ்மையினை கண்ணோக்கி தேவன் தனது ஆவியால் நம்மை நிரப்பும்போது மட்டுமே நாம் ஞானமுள்ளவர்களாகவும்  ஆவிக்குரிய உண்மைகளை அறியவேண்டியபடி அறிந்துகொள்ளவும் முடியும்.

Meditation - 2020,                                                                                                                         "AATHAVAN" – August 20, Thursday 2026

"And if any man think that he knoweth anything, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know." (1 Corinthians 8:2)

Many people pride themselves on their educational qualifications. Some become puffed up, believing they know everything simply because they are highly educated. But the truth is that no matter how much we have learned, we remain uneducated in many matters. The adage, "What we have learned is but a handful of sand; what we have not learned is as vast as the ocean," is a true saying.

It is the very same in spiritual life. In spiritual life, there is no limit to what we can learn. We often rely merely on a few truths we know and the things taught to us by our parents from our youth, assuming those alone to be the complete truth. If we remain in this mindset, then as today's meditation verse says, we know nothing yet as we ought to know.

We are not people who have fully understood spiritual truths merely because we study in a Bible college or read the Scriptures daily and recite verses with their chapter and verse numbers. Yes, as it is written:

"For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away." (1 Corinthians 13:9,10)

Only when Christ, who is perfect, comes into us can we become clear in our understanding and know what we ought to know as we ought to know it.

If we want to pour water or any other drink into a jar, that jar must be empty. Only then can we store anything in it. If the jar is already full, nothing can be added. Similarly, for most people, their "filled" knowledge stands as an obstacle to understanding further spiritual truths. Only when we realize that we are empty vessels can God work within us and reveal new spiritual truths to us.

Without placing complete trust in our educational achievements or our scriptural knowledge, let us humbly present our empty state to God. Let us pray: "Lord, I am an empty vessel. My education and knowledge are lacking, and I do not consider them great. Fill my emptiness with Your heavenly wisdom. Help me to understand the spiritual truths I ought to know, as I ought to know them."

Only when God looks upon our humility and fills us with His Spirit can we become wise and comprehend spiritual truths as we ought to know them.

🦋 Meditation verse - யோவான் 14 : 1 / John 14:1

 தியானம் - 2019

"ஆதவன்"ஆகஸ்ட் 19புதன் 2026

"உங்கள் இருதயம் கலங்காதிருப்பதாக; தேவனிடத்தில் விசுவாசமாயிருங்கள், என்னிடத்திலும் விசுவாசமாயிருங்கள்." ( யோவான் 14 : 1 )

இந்த உலகத்தில் நாம் ஏதாவது காரியத்தில் கலக்கமடைகின்றோம் என்றால் அதற்கு நமக்கு ஏற்பட்டுள்ள பிரச்னைகளைக்குறித்த பயமே முக்கிய காரணம். தீராத நோய்கள் நம்மைத் தாக்கும்போது, கடன் பிரச்சனைகள் நம்மை நெருக்கும்போது, அல்லது தப்பிடவே முடியாத இக்கட்டான பிரச்சனைகள் ஏற்படும்போது நாம் கலக்கமடைகின்றோம். ஆனால் இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறுகின்றார், "உங்கள் இருதயம் கலங்காதிருப்பதாக" என்று. 

இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் எகிப்திலிருந்து மோசேயால் கானானைநோக்கி வழிநடத்தப்பட்டனர். அப்போது, அவர்களை விடுவித்த பார்வோன் மனம்மாறி அவர்களைக் கொல்வதற்கு வந்தான். இஸ்ரவேலர் கலக்கமடைந்தனர். அப்பொழுது மோசே ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: "பயப்படாதிருங்கள்; நீங்கள் நின்றுகொண்டு இன்றைக்குக் கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்குச் செய்யும் இரட்சிப்பைப் பாருங்கள்; இன்றைக்கு நீங்கள் காண்கிற எகிப்தியரை இனி என்றைக்கும் காணமாட்டீர்கள். கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்காக யுத்தம்பண்ணுவார்; நீங்கள் சும்மாயிருப்பீர்கள் என்றான்." ( யாத்திராகமம் 14 : 13, 14 ) இந்த தேவ வார்த்தைகள் அவர்களது கலகத்தைப் போக்கியது. அதுபோல அவர்கள் விடுதலை பெற்றனர்.

மேலும், பல்வேறு பெரிய பெரிய இராஜாக்கள் அவர்களுக்கு எதிர்பட்டபோது அவர்கள் மிகவும் கலக்கமடைந்தனர். அப்போதெல்லாம் தேவனை நோக்கி முறையிட்டனர். தேவன் அவர்களை அந்த இராஜாக்களுக்குத் தப்புவித்து நடத்தினார். இப்படி ஒவ்வொரு காரியத்திலும் தேவனே அவர்களை அதிசயமாக நடத்தினார். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, ஒரு பிரச்சனை ஏற்படும்போது நமது பிரச்சனைகளைத் தாங்கிக்கொள்ள ஒருவர் இருக்கின்றாரென்றால் நமக்கு அது மிகப்பெரிய ஆறுதலாக இருக்குமல்லவா? 

கடன் பிரச்சனையால் நமது வீடு ஜப்திசெய்யப்படும் நிலை ஏற்படுமானால் நமது உள்ளம் எவ்வளவு கலக்கமடையும்!! ஐயோ, இனி என்ன செய்வோம்? எங்கு சென்று தங்குவோம்? எப்படி வீட்டு வாடகையினைக் கொடுப்போம்? நமது வீடு ஜப்தி செய்யப்படும்போது அது நமக்குச் சமூகத்தில் எவ்வளவு பெரிய அவமானமாக இருக்கும்!! ஆனால் அத்தகைய சூழ்நிலையில், "பயப்படாதேயுங்கள் உங்கள் கடனை நான் செலுத்தித் தீர்க்கிறேன்" என்று ஒரு பெரிய செல்வந்தர் ஒருவர் நமக்குத் துணைவந்தால் நமது கலக்கம் உடனேயே தீர்ந்துவிடுமல்லவா? 

இதுபோல, நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு தம்மிடம் உதவிகேட்டு வந்தவர்கள் அனைவரிடமும், "பயப்படாதே, விசுவாசமுள்ளவனாய் இரு" என்றுதான் முதலில் கூறி அவர்களைத் தைரியப்படுத்தினார்..    

சர்வலோகத்தையும் படைத்து  ஆளும் மிகப்பெரிய செல்வந்தர் நமக்குத் தந்தையாக இருக்கின்றார். அவர் தன்னிடம் நாம் விசுவாசமாக இருக்கும்படி அறிவுறுத்துகின்றார். உங்கள் இருதயம் கலங்காதிருப்பதாக; தேவனிடத்தில் விசுவாசமாயிருங்கள், என்னிடத்திலும் விசுவாசமாயிருங்கள் என்கின்றார் அவர். ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, எனவே நாம் பிதாவாகிய தேவனிடமும் அவரது குமாரனாகிய கிறிஸ்துவிடமும் விசுவாசமுள்ளவர்களாக இருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். ஏனெனில் சகல ஐஸ்வர்யமும் அவருக்குள் அடங்கியிருக்கின்றது. 

"விசுவாசமானது நம்பப்படுகிறவைகளின் உறுதியும், காணப்படாதவைகளின் நிச்சயமுமாயிருக்கிறது" (எபிரெயர் 11:1) இத்தகைய விசுவாசத்துடன் கிறிஸ்துவின் வார்த்தைகளை விசுவாசிப்போம். உங்கள் இருதயம் கலங்காதிருப்பதாக.

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me." (John 14:1)

If we are troubled by anything in this world, the primary reason is the fear concerning the problems we face. When incurable diseases strike us, when debt troubles press us down, or when inescapable, critical situations arise, we become troubled. But in today’s meditation verse, the Lord Jesus Christ says, "Let not your heart be troubled."

The people of Israel were led by Moses from Egypt toward Canaan. At that time, Pharaoh, who had let them go, changed his mind and pursued them to slay them. The Israelites were sore afraid and troubled. Then Moses said unto the people: "Fear ye not, standstill, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace." (Exodus 14:13, 14). These divine words dispelled their trouble, and even so, they received deliverance.

Furthermore, whenever great and powerful kings arrayed themselves against them, they were greatly troubled. At all such times, they cried unto the Lord. God delivered them from those kings and led them forth. Thus, in every matter, God led them wondrously.

Yes, beloved, when a trial arises, if there is someone to bear our burdens, what a great comfort that brings us!

If our home faces the threat of foreclosure due to debt, how troubled our hearts become! "Alas, what shall we do now? Where shall we go and dwell? How shall we pay the rent? What a great humiliation this foreclosure will be in society!" But in such a predicament, if a wealthy benefactor steps forward and says, "Fear not, I will pay off your debt," would not our trouble vanish immediately?

In like manner, our Lord Jesus first said unto all who came seeking His help, "Be not afraid, only believe," comforting and strengthening them.

The Creator and Ruler of the entire universe—the possessor of all riches—is our Father. He exhorts us to place our faith in Him. He says, "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me." Yes, beloved, it is imperative that we remain faithful to God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, for in Him dwell all the riches of glory.

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1)

With such faith, let us believe the words of Christ. Let not your heart be troubled.
