🦋 Meditation verse - 1 தீமோத்தேயு 2 : 4 / 1 Timothy 2:4

 தியானம் - 2006

"ஆதவன்"ஆகஸ்ட் 06 வியாழன் 2026   

"எல்லா மனுஷரும் இரட்சிக்கப்படவும், சத்தியத்தை அறிகிற அறிவை அடையவும், அவர் சித்தமுள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார்." ( 1 தீமோத்தேயு 2 : 4 )

எந்த ஒரு ஆசிரியரும் தனது வகுப்பிலுள்ள அனைத்து மாணவர்களும் நல்ல முறையில் படித்து அதிக மதிப்பெண்களுடன் வெற்றிபெறவேண்டுமென்றே விரும்புவார். அதற்காக முயற்சியெடுத்து பாடங்களை மாணவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லிக்கொடுப்பார். ஆனால் மாணவர்கள் வெற்றிபெறுவதும் தோல்வியடைவதும் அந்தந்த மாணவனைப்பொறுத்தே அமைகின்றது. ஆசிரியர் எப்படித்தான் நல்லமுறையில் பாடங்களைச்  சொல்லிக்கொடுத்தாலும் பல மாணவர்கள் தாங்களாக எந்த முயற்சியும் எடுப்பதில்லை. 

இதுபோலவேத் தேவனும் இரட்சிப்பின் வழியை மனிதர்களுக்குக் காண்பித்துள்ளார். தனது வார்த்தைகளை வேதாகம புத்தகமாக மனிதர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்துள்ளார். 

ஒவ்வொரு மனிதனுக்கும் தேவன் அறிவையும் மனச்சாட்சியையும் கொடுத்திருக்கின்றார். அதனைக் முறைப்படி பயன்படுத்தும்போது  சத்தியத்தை அறியலாம்; மீட்புப்பெறலாம். தேவன் வலுக்கட்டாயமாகத் தன்னை எவரிடமும் திணிப்பதில்லை. காரணம், ஒருவரைக் கட்டாயப்படுத்தி ஒரு காரியத்தைச் செய்யச் சொல்லும்போது அதனால் அவர் மனநிறைவு பெறுவதில்லை.  உதாரணமாக ஒரு கடையில் நமக்கு வேண்டிய ஆடைகளைத் தேர்வுசெய்யும்போது நாம் நமது மனதுக்குப் பிடித்த ஆடையையே தேர்வு செய்வோம். மற்றவர்கள் கட்டாயப்படுத்தி ஒன்றினை நாம் தேர்வுசெய்தால் அது நமக்கு மனநிறைவைத் தராது. 

எல்லா மனுஷரும் இரட்சிக்கப்படவும், சத்தியத்தை அறிகிற அறிவை அடையவும், அவர் சித்தமுள்ளவராயிருந்தாலும் இன்று எல்லோரும் தேவனை அறியவில்லை. காரணம், தேவனை அறியும் ஆவல் இருந்தால் மட்டுமே அவரை அறியமுடியும்.  ஆனால் நமது ஆண்டவர் இரக்கமுள்ளவராக இருப்பதால்  தன்னைவிட்டு விலகிப்போனவர்களும், தன்னை அறியாதவர்களும் சத்தியத்தை அறியவேண்டுமென்று  விரும்புகின்றார். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, "இவ்விதமாக, இந்தச் சிறியரில் ஒருவனாகிலும், கெட்டுப்போவது பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற உங்கள் பிதாவின் சித்தமல்ல." ( மத்தேயு 18 : 14 ) என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறினார். எல்லா மனுஷரும் இரட்சிக்கப்படவும், சத்தியத்தை அறிகிற அறிவை அடையவும் வேண்டுமென்றே அவர் விரும்புகின்றார். அவர் பூமியில் மனிதனாகப் பிறந்த நோக்கமே அதுதான். இதனையே அவர், "மனுஷகுமாரன் கெட்டுப்போனதை இரட்சிக்க வந்தார்" ( மத்தேயு 18 : 11 ) என்று கூறினார். 

"உங்களுக்கு எப்படித் தோன்றுகிறது? ஒரு மனுஷனுக்கு நூறு ஆடுகளிருக்க, அவைகளில் ஒன்று சிதறிப்போனால், அவன் மற்றத் தொண்ணூற்றொன்பது ஆடுகளையும் மலைகளில் விட்டுப் போய்ச் சிதறிப்போனதைத் தேடாமலிருப்பானோ?" ( மத்தேயு 18 : 12 ) என்று கூறியுள்ளபடி இயேசு கிறிஸ்து விலகிப்போன ஆடுகளாகிய மக்களைத் தேடிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றார். எனவே, பல்வேறு விதங்களில்  தன்னை அறியக்கூடிய வாய்ப்புக்களை ஒவ்வொரு மனிதருக்கும் அவர் அளித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றார்.  

மட்டுமல்ல, இயேசு கிறிஸ்து உலகில் இருந்தபோது, தான் மீண்டும் வருவேன் என்று வாக்களித்துச் சென்றார். அதாவது தன்னை விசுவாசித்து ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு பரிசுத்த வாழ்க்கை வாழும் விசுவாசிகளைத் தன்னுடன் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ள அவர் வருவார். இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் இரண்டாம் வருகையினைக்குறித்து வேதாகமத்தில் பல இடங்களில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஆனால் அவரது வருகை இன்று 2026 ஆண்டுகள் கடத்தபின்னரும் ஏற்படவில்லை. இதனைக்குறித்து அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுரு, "தாமதிக்கிறார் என்று சிலர் எண்ணுகிறபடி, கர்த்தர் தமது வாக்குத்தத்தத்தைக்குறித்துத் தாமதமாயிராமல்; ஒருவரும் கெட்டுப்போகாமல் எல்லாரும் மனந்திரும்பவேண்டுமென்று விரும்பி, நம்மேல் நீடிய பொறுமையுள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார்." ( 2 பேதுரு 3 : 9 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

எல்லா மனுஷரும் இரட்சிக்கப்படவும், சத்தியத்தை அறிகிற அறிவை அடையவும், அவர் சித்தமுள்ளவராயிருப்பதால்  அவர் தாமதித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றார். இந்தத் தாமதத்தைக் கேலி செய்யாமல், அவரது வருகையினைக்குறித்து அவிசுவாசம் கொள்ளாமல் இன்றே நமது பாவங்களை அவரிடம் அறிக்கையிட்டு மன்னிப்பைவேண்டுவோம்; அவரது சித்தத்தை நிறைவேற்றுவோம்.

"AATHAVAN" (The Sun) | August 06

"Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth." — 1 Timothy 2:4

Just as any teacher desires that every student in their class study well and succeed with high marks, they dedicate effort to teaching the lessons. However, whether a student succeeds or fails ultimately rests upon the student himself. No matter how well the teacher instructs, many students make no effort on their own.

Similarly, God has shown humanity the way of salvation. He has given His words to mankind in the form of the Holy Scriptures.

God has endowed every human being with intellect and a conscience. When used properly, one can come to know the truth and receive redemption. God does not force Himself upon anyone, because when a person is compelled to do something, it brings no true contentment.

For instance, when choosing clothes at a shop, we select what pleases our own hearts. If others force a choice upon us, it yields no satisfaction.

Although it is His divine will that all people be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, not everyone knows God today. This is because one can only know God if there is a sincere desire to seek Him. Yet, because our Lord is merciful, He desires that even those who have strayed and do not know Him come to understand the truth.

Yes, dear friends, as Jesus Christ declared:

"Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish." — Matthew 18:14

He desires that every person be saved and reach the knowledge of the truth. That was the very purpose of His coming into this world as a man. As He Himself said:

"For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost." — Matthew 18:11

He further illustrated this heart for the lost:

"How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?" — Matthew 18:12

Jesus Christ continues to seek people who are like lost sheep. Therefore, He provides every human being with diverse opportunities to come to know Him.

Moreover, when Jesus Christ was on earth, He promised that He would come again—to gather unto Himself the believers who put their faith in Him and live a holy life. The Second Coming of Jesus Christ is referenced in many places throughout the Bible. Yet, even after more than 2,000 years, His return has not yet occurred.

Addressing this very thought, the Apostle Peter writes:

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." — 2 Peter 3:9

Because He wills that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, He is exercising patient endurance and delaying His return.

Let us not mock this delay or fall into unbelief regarding His coming. Instead, let us confess our sins to Him today, plead for His forgiveness, and fulfil His holy will.
