🦋 Meditation verse - 2 கொரிந்தியர் 6 : 16 / 2 Corinthians 6:16

 தியானம் - 2030

"ஆதவன்" ஆகஸ்ட் 30 ஞாயிறு 2026

"தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்துக்கும் விக்கிரகங்களுக்கும் சம்பந்தமேது? நான் அவர்களுக்குள்ளே வாசம்பண்ணி, அவர்களுக்குள்ளே உலாவி, அவர்கள் தேவனாயிருப்பேன், அவர்கள் என் ஜனங்களாயிருப்பார்கள் என்று, தேவன் சொன்னபடி, நீங்கள் ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனுடைய ஆலயமாயிருக்கிறீர்களே" ( 2 கொரிந்தியர் 6 : 16 )

நம்முடைய தேவன் தனது பிள்ளைகளை விட்டு ஒதுங்கி எங்கோ சிலைபோல அமர்ந்து இருபவரல்ல. அவர் நம்மோடு உறவுகொண்டு தாய் தகப்பனைபோல நம்மோடு வாழ விரும்புபவர். ஆனால் இன்று பொதுவாக மக்கள் கடவுளை அப்படி எண்ணுவதில்லை. அவரைச் சிலைபோல எங்கோ அமர்ந்திருப்பவர் என்றே எண்ணுகின்றனர். எனவே பல்வேறு கடவுள் உருவங்களுக்கு  வணக்கமும், ஆராதனைகளும் செய்கின்றனர். இப்படிச் செய்வதால் கடவுள் மகிழ்ச்சியடைவார் என்று எண்ணிக்கொள்கின்றனர். இப்படிச் செய்வது, நமது தாய் தகப்பனுடன் பேசாமல் இருந்துகொண்டு; அவர்களோடு எந்த உறவும் இல்லாமல் வாழ்ந்துகொண்டு;  அவர்களது படங்களுக்கு மாலைகளும் மரியாதையும் செய்வதுபோலத்தான்.  

தேவன் நம்மோடு ஒரு சக மனிதனைப்போல வாழ்வதையே விரும்புகின்றார். "நான் உங்கள் நடுவிலே உலாவி, உங்கள் தேவனாயிருப்பேன், நீங்கள் என் ஜனமாயிருப்பீர்கள்" ( லேவியராகமம் 26 : 12 ) என்கின்றார் அவர்.

அப்படி நமக்குள் அவர் வந்து தங்கியிருக்க நம்மிடம் அசுத்தமான காரியங்கள் காணப்படாமல் முற்றிலும் நம்மைத் தூய்மையாக தேவனுக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கவேண்டுமென்று அவர் எதிர்பார்க்கின்றார். அவர் நமக்குள்ளே உலாவி நம்மை வழிநடத்த விரும்புகின்றார். "உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னை இரட்சிக்கவும், உன் சத்துருக்களை உனக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கவும், உன் பாளயத்திற்குள்ளே உலாவிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்; ஆகையால், அவர் உன்னிடத்தில் அசுசியான காரியத்தைக் கண்டு, உன்னை விட்டுப் போகாதபடிக்கு, உன் பாளயம் சுத்தமாயிருக்கக்கடவது" ( உபாகமம் 23 : 14 )

ஆம் அன்பானபவர்களே, நாமே  கடவுளின் ஆலயமாக இருக்கின்றோம். காரணம் கடவுள் வெளியில் உள்ள சிலைகளில் அல்ல, மாறாக நமக்குள் இருக்கின்றார். அவர் நமக்குள் இருப்பதால் நாமே அவரது ஆலயமாக இருக்கின்றோம். ஆம், இதனையே அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல்,  "நான் அவர்களுக்குள்ளே வாசம்பண்ணி, அவர்களுக்குள்ளே உலாவி, அவர்கள் தேவனாயிருப்பேன், அவர்கள் என் ஜனங்களாயிருப்பார்கள் என்று, தேவன் சொன்னபடி, நீங்கள் ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனுடைய ஆலயமாயிருக்கிறீர்களே" என்கின்றார். 

கடவுளைச் சிலைகளிலும் இதர இடங்களிலும் தேடித்திரிபவர்கள் கடவுளை காண்பதில்லை. நமக்குள் அவர் இருப்பதை உணரும்போது அவர் நம்மோடு பேசுவதை, நம்மை வழிநடத்துவதை நாம் உணரமுடியும். இந்த அனுபவம் உள்ளவர்கள் சிலைகளைத்தேடி ஓடமாட்டார்கள். 

நாம் தேவனுடைய ஆலயமாக இருப்பதால் நமக்கு விக்கிரகங்கள் தேவையில்லை. வெறும் சிலையாக அல்ல மாறாக, ஜீவனுள்ள பேசக்கூடிய தேவனாக அவர் நமக்குள் இருப்பதால் தேவனுடைய ஆலயமாகிய நமக்கும்  விக்கிரகங்களுக்கும் சம்பந்தமில்லை. 

அன்பானவர்கள், நமது உடலை தேவனுக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து ஜெபிப்பபோம்:-  "அன்பான ஆண்டவரே, நான் உமது ஆலயமாக வாழ ஆசைப்படுகின்றேன். என்னை உமக்கு அர்ப்பணிக்கிறேன். எனது பாவங்கள், அனைத்தையும் உமது பரிசுத்த இரத்தத்தால் கழுவி என்னைத் தூய்மையாக்கும். பரிசுத்தரான நீரே எனக்குள் வந்து தங்கி என்னை உமது ஆலயமாக மாற்றும். இனிமேல்  தேவனுடைய ஆலயமாகிய எனக்கும் விக்கிரகங்களுக்கும் சம்பந்தமே இல்லாதபடி என்னைத் தூய்மைப்படுத்தும், ஆமென் "

Meditation - 2030

"AATHAVAN" — August 30, Sunday 2026

"And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people." (2 Corinthians 6:16)

Our God is not one who distance Himself from His children to sit somewhere like an idol. He is one who desires to have a relationship with us and live with us as a mother and a father. But today, people generally do not think of God in this way. They view Him as someone sitting somewhere like an idol. Consequently, they offer worship and veneration to various forms of gods, believing that doing so will please Him. Doing this is like remaining silent toward our own mother and father, living without any relationship with them, and merely placing garlands and offering respects to their pictures.

God desires to live with us just as a fellow human being would. He says, "And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people." (Leviticus 26:12)

For Him to come and abide within us, He expects that no unclean things be found in us and that we yield ourselves completely pure unto Him. He desires to walk within us and guide us. "For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore, shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee." (Deuteronomy 23:14)

Yes, beloved, we ourselves are the temple of God. This is because God is not in idols outside, but rather within us. Because He abides within us, we ourselves are His temple. Indeed, the Apostle Paul speaks of this very truth: "as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people."

Those who wander about searching for God in idols and other places do not find Him. When we realize that He is within us, we can sense Him speaking to us and guiding us. Those who have this experience will not run after idols.

Since we are the temple of God, we have no need for idols. Because He abides within us not as a mere idol, but as a living God who speaks, there is no agreement between us—the temple of God—and idols.

Beloved, let us yield our bodies to God and pray:

"Dear Lord, I desire to live as Your temple. I dedicate myself to You. Wash away all my sins with Your precious blood and make me clean. O Holy One, come and abide within me, transforming me into Your temple. From this day forward, purify me so that I, as the temple of God, may have no part with idols. Amen."
