🦋 Meditation verse - உபாகமம் 23 : 14 / Deuteronomy 23:14

 தியானம் - 2004

"ஆதவன்"ஆகஸ்ட் 04  - செவ்வாய்  2026   

"உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னை இரட்சிக்கவும், உன் சத்துருக்களை உனக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கவும், உன் பாளயத்திற்குள்ளே உலாவிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்; ஆகையால், அவர் உன்னிடத்தில் அசுசியான காரியத்தைக் கண்டு, உன்னை விட்டுப் போகாதபடிக்கு, உன் பாளயம் சுத்தமாயிருக்கக்கடவது." ( உபாகமம் 23 : 14 )

இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கர்த்தர் மோசே மூலம் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்குத் தூய்மையினைக் கடைபிடிக்கக் கூறிய ஒரு அறிவுரை. இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் மலம்கழிக்கச் செல்லும்போது ஒரு கோலையும் கையில் கொண்டு செல்லவேண்டுமென்றும் அதனால் மணலில் குழியெடுத்து அதில் மலம் கழித்தபின்னர் அதனை மணலினால் மூடிவிடவேண்டும் என்றும் அறிவுரைகூறித் தொடர்ந்து, இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தைக் கூறுகின்றார். இதன்மூலம் தேவன் கூறும் முக்கிய காரியம் என்னவென்றால்  நீங்களும் உங்கள் வசிப்பிடமும்  தூய்மையாக இருக்கவேண்டும் என்பதே. 

அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் ஏற்கெனவே பலமுறை தியானங்களில் விளக்கிக் கூறியுள்ளபடி பழைய ஏற்பாடு புதிய ஏற்பாட்டின் நிழலாக இருக்கின்றது என்பதனை நாம் மறந்துவிடக்கூடாது. எனவே, அனைத்துப்  பழைய ஏற்பாட்டுக் காரியங்களையும் நாம் புதிய ஏற்பாட்டுடன் ஒப்பிட்டுப் பார்க்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். 

இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம், "அவர் உன்னிடத்தில் அசுசியான காரியத்தைக் கண்டு, உன்னை விட்டுப் போகாதபடிக்கு, உன் பாளயம் சுத்தமாயிருக்கக்கடவது" என்று. அதாவது, நமது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் தேவன் நம்மோடு கூடவே இருக்கின்றார். அவர் நம்மோடு உலவி நமது தேவனாக இருக்கின்றார். எனவே, அவரது இரத்தத்தால் கழுவப்பட்டு பாவமன்னிப்பைப்  பெற்றுள்ள நாம் நம்மைத் தூய்மையுள்ளவர்களாக காத்துகொண்டு வாழவேண்டியது அவசியம். நம்மிடம் அவருக்கு ஏற்பில்லாத செயல்களைக்கண்டு நம்மைவிட்டு அவர் விலகிச் சென்றுவிட நாம் அனுமதிக்கக்கூடாது. 

தேவன் நம்மைவிட்டு விலகும்போது, இஸ்ரவேலர்களை விட்டு தேவன் விலகியபோதெல்லாம் அவர்கள் பல்வேறு இராஜாக்களுக்கு அடிமைகளானதுபோல நாமும் அடிமைகளாவோம். அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுரு இதனால்தான், "கர்த்தரும் இரட்சகருமாயிருக்கிற இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவை அறிகிற அறிவினாலே உலகத்தின் அசுத்தங்களுக்குத் தப்பினவர்கள் மறுபடியும் அவைகளில் சிக்கிக்கொண்டு ஜெயிக்கப்பட்டால், அவர்களுடைய பின்னிலைமை முன்னிலைமையிலும் கேடுள்ளதாயிருக்கும்." ( 2 பேதுரு 2 : 20 ) என்று நம்மை எச்சரிக்கின்றார்.

அதாவது, தேவனை நீங்கள் அறிந்துள்ளபடியினால் இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றபடி, அவர் பாளயத்திற்குள்ளே (உனக்குள்ளே) உலாவிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார், உன்னிலுள்ள அசுத்த காரியங்களை உன்னைவிட்டு விலக்கி உன்னைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தியுள்ளார்.  எனவே நீ மறுபடியும் அவைகளில் சிக்கிக்கொண்டு அவைகளால் ஜெயிக்கப்பட்டால், உன் பின்னிலைமை முன்னிலைமையிலும் கேடுள்ளதாயிருக்கும் என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

மட்டுமல்ல, அப்படிச் செய்வது நாய் தான் கக்கினத்தைத் தின்பதுபோன்றதாகும். "நாய் தான் கக்கினதைத் தின்னவும், கழுவப்பட்ட பன்றி சேற்றிலே புரளவும் திரும்பினது என்று சொல்லப்பட்ட மெய்யான பழமொழியின்படியே அவர்களுக்குச் சம்பவித்தது" ( 2 பேதுரு 2 : 22 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

இன்றைய தியான வசனம், "உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னை இரட்சிக்கவும், உன் சத்துருக்களை உனக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கவும்" என்று கூறுகின்றது. நமக்குச் சத்துருக்கள் யார்? அது நமது பாவங்களும் நம்மை நெருக்கி நசுக்குகின்ற பல்வேறு உலகப் பிரச்சனைகளும்தான். இவைகளிலிருந்து நாம் தப்புவிக்கப்பட, தேவன் நமக்குள் உலாவிடவேண்டியது அவசியமாக இருக்கின்றது. 

ஆகையால், அவர் நம்மிடம் அசுத்தமான காரியங்களைக்கண்டு நம்மைவிட்டு விலகிப் போய்விடாதபடிக்கு நம்மைச் சுத்தமாகக் காத்துக்கொள்வோம். பேதுரு கூறுகின்றபடி உலகத்தின் அசுத்தங்களுக்குத் தப்பினவர்கள் மறுபடியும் அவைகளில் சிக்கிக்கொண்டு ஜெயிக்கப்பட்டால், அவர்களுடைய பின்னிலைமை முன்னிலைமையிலும் கேடுள்ளதாயிருக்கும்.

Meditation - 2004

"AATHAVAN" | August 04 | Tuesday, 2026

"For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore, shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee." — Deuteronomy 23:14 (KJV)

Today's meditation verse is an instruction given by the Lord through Moses to the people of Israel regarding cleanliness. The Lord advised that whenever the Israelites went out to relieve themselves, they should carry a paddle with them, dig a hole in the sand, and cover their excrement with dirt. Right after giving this instruction, He speaks today’s verse. The key message God emphasizes through this is that both you and your dwelling place must be clean and holy.

Dearly beloved, as we have often explained in previous meditations, we must never forget that the Old Testament serves as a shadow of the New Testament. Therefore, it is essential for us to compare all Old Testament matters with the New Testament.

In today's verse, we read: "that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee." This means that in our spiritual life, God is right there with us. He walks in our midst and is our God. Therefore, having been washed by His blood and having received the forgiveness of sins, it is vital that we keep ourselves pure and holy. We must not allow Him to see unpleasing actions in us and turn away from us.

When God departs from us, just as the Israelites became slaves to various kings whenever God turned away from them, we too will fall into bondage. This is why the Apostle Peter warns us:

"For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning." — 2 Peter 2:20 (KJV)

In other words, because you know God, as today’s meditation verse says, He walks in the midst of your camp (within you), and He has cleansed you by removing unclean things from you. Therefore, if you become entangled in them again and are overcome by them, your latter end will be worse than the beginning.

Not only that, doing so is like a dog returning to its own vomit. As we read:

"But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire." — 2 Peter 2:22 (KJV)

Today's meditation verse states: "For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee." Who are our enemies? They are our sins and the various worldly troubles that press down upon us and crush us. To be delivered from these, it is essential that God walks within us.

Therefore, let us keep ourselves clean so that He does not see unclean things in us and turn away from us. As Peter says, if those who have escaped the pollutions of the world become entangled in them again and are overcome, their latter end will be worse than the beginning.
