🦋 Meditation verse - ரோமர் 5: 16 / Romans 5:16

"ஆதவன்" செப்டம்பர் 01 செவ்வாய் 2026

"மேலும் ஒருவன் பாவஞ்செய்ததினால் உண்டான தீர்ப்பு தேவன் அருளும் ஈவுக்கு ஒப்பானதல்ல; அந்தத் தீர்ப்பு ஒரே குற்றத்தினிமித்தம் ஆக்கினைக்கு ஏதுவாயிருந்தது; கிருபைவரமோ அநேக குற்றங்களை நீக்கி நீதிவிளங்கும் தீர்ப்புக்கு ஏதுவாயிருக்கிறது." ( ரோமர் 5: 16)

ஆதாமின் கீழ்ப்படியாமை எனும் ஒரே பாவம் முழு மனுக்குலத்துக்கும் சாபமாக அமைந்தது. ஆதாமின் ஒரே குற்றம் நமக்கு ஆக்கினையைக் கொண்டுவந்தது. ஆனால் அதனை நிவிர்த்திசெய்ய உலகினில் வந்த இரண்டாம் ஆதாமாகிய கிறிஸ்துவினால் பல குற்றங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்படும் சூழ்நிலை உருவானது. 

மட்டுமல்ல, ஆதாமைப்போல பாவம் செய்யாதவர்களையும் ஆதாமின் பாவத்தின் தண்டனை பற்றிக்கொண்டது. இதனை அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "அப்படியிருந்தும், மரணமானது ஆதாம்முதல் மோசேவரைக்கும், ஆதாமின் மீறுதலுக்கொப்பாய்ப் பாவஞ்செய்யாதவர்களையும் ஆண்டுகொண்டது; அந்த ஆதாம் பின்பு வந்தவருக்கு முன்னடையாளமானவன்" ( ரோமர் 5: 14) என்று கூறுகின்றார். ஆம், பழைய ஆதாம் கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு முன்னடையாளமாக இருக்கின்றான். 

ஆதாமின் பாவம் அவனைப்போல பாவம் செய்யாதவர்களையும் தண்டனைக்குள்ளாக்கியது. ஆனால் கிறிஸ்துவின் கிருபை பல பாவங்களிலிருந்து நம்மை விடுவிக்கின்றது. இதனையே இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் அப்போஸ்தலராகிய பவுல், கிருபைவரமோ அநேக குற்றங்களை நீக்கி நீதிவிளங்கும் தீர்ப்புக்கு ஏதுவாயிருக்கிறது என்று கூறுகின்றார். ஒரேபாவத்தினால் உலகம் தண்டனை பெற்றது; ஆனால், ஒரே மனிதனின் கீழ்ப்படிதலினால் பல பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்படுகின்றன. இதுதான் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவினால் உண்டான கிருபை. 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் இன்று கிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தத்தால் மீட்பு பெறுகின்றோம். அவரால் நமது பல பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்படுகின்றன. அன்று பாவம் செய்த ஆதாம் ஏதேன் தோட்டத்தில் உலாவிய தேவனுக்குப் பயந்து ஒளிந்துகொண்டதுபோல நாம் பயந்து ஒளித்துக்கொள்ளவேண்டிய அவசியமில்லை. காரணம், நமது பாவங்களை மன்னித்து ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவே கிறிஸ்து உலகினில் அவதரித்தார்; அவர் பாவிகள் மனம்திரும்பி தன்னிடம் வருவதையே ஆவலுடன் எதிர்பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றார்.

கிறிஸ்துவின் கிருபை பல பாவங்களையும் மன்னிக்கின்றது. எனவே நாம் தயங்காமல் நமது எந்தப் பாவத்தையும் அவரிடம் அறிக்கையிட்டு மனம்திரும்ப அழைக்கப்படுகின்றோம். எனவே, நமது எந்தப் பாவமாக இருந்தாலும் அவரிடம் அறிக்கையிட்டு மன்னிப்பை வேண்டுவோம். இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது, "ஒருவன் பாவஞ்செய்ததினால் உண்டான தீர்ப்பு தேவன் அருளும் ஈவுக்கு ஒப்பானதல்ல" என்று. ஆம், ஆதாமின் தண்டனைத்தீர்ப்பை நாம் கிறிஸ்துவின் கிருபைக்கு ஒப்பிடமுடியாது. எனவே துணிவுடன் அவரை நெருங்கி நமது பாவங்களுக்கு மன்னிப்பை வேண்டுவோம். 

"நம்முடைய பாவங்களை நாம் அறிக்கையிட்டால், பாவங்களை நமக்கு மன்னித்து எல்லா அநியாயத்தையும் நீக்கி நம்மைச் சுத்திகரிப்பதற்கு அவர் உண்மையும் நீதியும் உள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார்."(1 யோவான்  1 : 9) ஆம், கிறிஸ்துவின் கிருபைவரமோ அநேக குற்றங்களை நீக்கி நமக்கு நீதிவிளங்கும் தீர்ப்புக்கு ஏதுவாயிருக்கிறது.

"And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification." (Romans 5:16)

The single sin of Adam’s disobedience became a curse for all humanity. Adam's one offense brought condemnation upon us. However, through Christ—the Second Adam who came into the world to remedy this—a way was opened for many offenses to be forgiven.

Furthermore, even those who had not sinned in the same manner as Adam were overtaken by the penalty of his sin. The Apostle Paul explains this: "Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come." (Romans 5:14) Yes, the old Adam is a pattern of the One who was to come.

Adam’s sin subjected even those who did not sin like him to punishment. But the grace of Christ releases us from many sins. This is precisely what the Apostle Paul emphasizes in today’s meditation verse: the free gift brings justification from many offenses. The world faced judgment due to one sin, yet through the obedience of one Man, many sins are forgiven. This is the grace that comes through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Dearly beloved, today we receive redemption through the blood of Christ, and through Him, our many sins are forgiven. Unlike Adam, who sinned and hid in fear from God walking in the Garden of Eden, we have no need to hide in fear. For Christ came into the world to forgive and accept us; He eagerly longs for sinners to repent and return to Him.

The grace of Christ forgives numerous sins. Therefore, we are called to confess any sin to Him without hesitation and repent. Let us come to Him with whatever sin we carry and seek His forgiveness. Today’s meditation verse reminds us that the judgment resulting from one man’s sin is not like the free gift of God. Indeed, the sentence of condemnation through Adam cannot be compared to the abundance of Christ's grace. Let us approach Him boldly and ask for forgiveness.

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9) Yes, the free gift of Christ cleanses us from many offenses and leads us to justification.
