🦋 Meditation verse - 2 சாமுவேல் 6: 16 / 2 Samuel 6:16

 தியானம் - 2016

"ஆதவன்"ஆகஸ்ட் 16 ஞாயிறு 2026

"கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டி தாவீதின் நகரத்திற்குள் பிரவேசிக்கிறபோது, சவுலின் குமாரத்தியாகிய மீகாள் பலகணி வழியாய்ப் பார்த்து, தாவீது ராஜா கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகக் குதித்து, நடனம்பண்ணுகிறதைக் கண்டு, தன் இருதயத்திலே அவனை அவமதித்தாள்." (2 சாமுவேல் 6: 16)

மனிதர்களது பார்வை வேறு, தேவன் ஒரு காரியத்தைப் பார்க்கின்ற பார்வை வேறு. தேவன் மேன்மையாக எண்ணுவதை நாம் பலவேளைகளில் அற்பமாக எண்ணுகின்றோம். ஆவிக்குரிய காரியங்களில் இப்படிப்பட்ட சம்பவங்கள் அதிக அளவில் நடைபெறுகின்றன. ஆனால் இதன்மூலம் சிலவேளைகளில் நாம் நம்மை அறியாமல் தேவனது கோபத்தையும் சாபத்தையும் பெறவேண்டிய நிலை ஏற்படலாம்.

ஒவ்வொருவரும் தங்களது மனதில் தேவன் கொடுக்கும் எண்ணத்திற்கேற்ப, அவர்களுக்குத் தேவன் செய்த தனிப்பட்ட நன்மைகளை எண்ணி அவர்களது மனதின் ஆழத்திலிருந்து பல்வேறுவிதங்களில் தேவனை ஆராதிக்கின்றனர். இதில், நாங்கள் வழிபடும் முறைதான் மேலானது என்றோ மற்றவர்கள் வழிபடும் முறை தவறு என்றோ நாம் கூறிட முடியாது. அப்படிக் கூறி மற்றவர்களையும் அவர்களது வழிபாட்டு முறைகளையும் கேலியாக, அற்பமாக எண்ணுவோமானால் நாம் தேவனது சாபத்தைப் பெறுவோம்.

தாவீது ராஜாவுக்குத் தேவன் செய்த காரியங்கள் மிக மேலானவை. வனாந்தரத்தில் ஆடுமேய்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்த அவரைத் தேவன் தெரிந்துகொண்டு தனது இருதயத்துக்கு ஏற்றவன் என்றும் கூறினார். மட்டுமல்ல, அவர்மேல் கொண்ட அன்பினால் மீட்பரை அவரது சந்ததியில் பிறக்கச்செய்வேன் என்றும் வாக்களித்து அதனை நிறைவேற்றவும் செய்தார். இதனால் தாவீதுக்கு தேவன்மேல் அளவிடமுடியாத அன்பும் பற்றும் இருந்தது. அவரது சங்கீதங்களை சுமார் நாலாயிரத்து ஐநூறு ஆண்டுகளாக மக்கள் பாடிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்களென்றால் காரணம், அந்தப் பாடல்களிலுள்ள அபிஷேகம். 

தேவன் தனக்குச் செய்த இத்தனை மேன்மைகளை எண்ணி தேவன்மேலுள்ள அன்பினால் அவர் உடன்படிக்கைப்பெட்டி எடுத்துவரும்போது அதன்முன் குதித்து ஆடிப்பாடினார். ஆனால் சவுலின் மகள் மீகாளுக்கு தாவீதின் நடனம் கேலிக்கூத்தாகத் தெரிந்தது. அதனை அவள் அற்பமாக மனதினில் எண்ணினாள். "அதனால் சவுலின் குமாரத்தியாகிய மீகாளுக்கு மரணமடையும் நாள்மட்டும் பிள்ளை இல்லாதிருந்தது." (2 சாமுவேல் 6: 23) ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, மீகாள் வேறு யாரிடமும் தாவீது நடனமாடியதைக் குறையாகக் கூறவில்லை. தனது மனதினில்தான் அவள் தாவீதை அவமதித்தாள். ஆனால் தேவன் அதனைப் பெரிய பாவமாகக் கருதி  அவளது கர்ப்பத்தை அவள் மரணமடையும்வரை அடைத்துப் போட்டார்.

இந்தச் சம்பவம் நமக்கும் ஒரு படிப்பினையாக இருக்கின்றது. யாராக இருந்தாலும் மற்றவர்களது வழிபாட்டு முறைகளைக் கிண்டலாக, கேலியாக எண்ணாதிருப்போம்; பேசாதிருப்போம்.  தேவனுக்கும் மற்றவர்களுக்குமுள்ள உறவு குறித்து  நமக்குத் தெரியாது. மட்டுமல்ல, இதுவரை அப்படி மற்றவர்களைக் கேலியாக அற்பமாக எண்ணியிருந்தாலோ, பேசியிருந்தாலோ தேவனிடம் மன்னிப்பைக் கேட்போம். ஒருவேளை நமது ஆசீர்வாதக் குறைவுக்கு இதுபோன்ற  நமது செயல்கள்  காரணமாக இருந்திருக்கலாம்.

"AATHAVAN" | August 16 | Sunday 2026

"And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart." (2 Samuel 6:16)

The way human beings see things is different from the way God sees them. Many times, we treat lightly what God considers noble and exalted. Such instances occur frequently in spiritual matters. However, as a result, we may unknowingly bring God's anger and curse upon ourselves.

Every person worships God in various ways from the depths of their heart, according to the thoughts God gives them and remembering the personal blessings He has bestowed upon them. In this, we cannot claim that our way of worship is superior or that another’s way of worship is wrong. If we make such claims and mock or despise others and their ways of worship, we will invite God's curse.

The things God did for King David were extraordinary. God chose him while he was shepherding sheep in the wilderness and declared him to be a man after His own heart. Furthermore, out of His love for David, God promised that the Savior would be born from his lineage and fulfilled that promise. Because of this, David possessed immeasurable love and devotion toward God. If people have been singing his Psalms for nearly 4,500 years, the reason is the anointing present within those songs.

Reflecting on all the great things God had done for him, and driven by his deep love for the Lord, David leaped and danced in front of the Ark of the Covenant as it was being brought in.

However, to Saul's daughter Michal, David's dance appeared as a laughingstock. She despised it in her heart.

"Therefore, Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death." (2 Samuel 6:23)

Yes, beloved, Michal did not voice her criticism of David's dance to anyone else; she despised him only within her heart. Yet, God considered it a grave sin and shut her womb until the day of her death.

This event serves as a vital lesson for us as well. Whoever it may be, let us not mock, ridicule, or hold in contempt the worship methods of others, nor speak lightly of them. We do not know the depth of the personal relationship between God and another individual.

Furthermore, if we have ever despised or mocked others' worship in our thoughts or speech until now, let us ask God for forgiveness. Perhaps such actions of ours have been the hidden reason behind a lack of blessing in our lives.
