🦋 Meditation verse - யோவான் 12 : 48 / John 12:48

"ஆதவன்"ஆகஸ்ட் 18 செவ்வாய் 2026

"என்னைத் தள்ளி என் வார்த்தைகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாதவனை நியாயந்தீர்க்கிறதொன்றிருக்கிறது; நான் சொன்ன வசனமே அவனைக் கடைசிநாளில் நியாயந்தீர்க்கும்." ( யோவான் 12 : 48 )

இயேசு கிறிஸ்து தான் பரலோகம் செல்லுமுன் ஒரு முக்கியமான கட்டளையைத் தனது சீடர்களுக்குக் கூறினார். இதனை நாம், "பின்பு, அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் உலகமெங்கும்போய், சர்வ சிருஷ்டிக்கும் சுவிசேஷத்தைப் பிரசங்கியுங்கள். விசுவாசமுள்ளவனாகி ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்றவன் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவான்; விசுவாசியாதவனோ ஆக்கினைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்க்கப்படுவான்." ( மாற்கு 16 : 15, 16 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

கிறிஸ்துவை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாததும் அவரவர் தனிப்பட்ட விருப்பம். ஆனால், கிறிஸ்துவை எல்லோருக்கும் அறிவிக்கவேண்டியது கிறிஸ்தவர்களின் கடமை என்று உனக்கின்றோம். கிறிஸ்துவை பிரசங்கிக்கவேண்டியது மட்டுமே நமது கடமை; அது கிறிஸ்து கூறிய ஒரு முக்கியமான  கட்டளை. அதனைத்தான் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் செய்கின்றனரேத்   தவிர மதம் மாற்றுவதில்லை. 

ஊழியம் செய்கின்றேன் என்று கூறி வேத அறிவோ அனுபவமோ இல்லாத சில அற்பமான ஊழியர்கள்தான் இதில் தவறு செய்கின்றனர். அவர்கள் கிறிஸ்துவை மக்களிடம் திணிக்க முயல்கின்றார். ஆண்டவர் இயேசுவின் வார்த்தைகளை விதைக்கவேண்டுமேத்தவிர வலுக்கட்டாயமாக அதனை எவர் உள்ளத்திலும் விதைத்து எவரையும் நாம் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் கொண்டுவரமுடியாது. 

இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறுவது இதுதான்.  அதாவது எனது வார்த்தைகளை நீங்கள் விதையுங்கள். அதனை ஏற்றுகொள்ளாதவனை நான் கூறிய வசனமே நியாயம் தீர்க்கும். ஆம், தேவனது வார்த்தைகள் உயிரும் வல்லமையும் உள்ளது. அது மனிதனது  உள்ளத்தில் ஊடுருவி அவனது ஆத்துமா, சிந்தனை, செயல், அவனது உடல் அனைத்தையும் ஊடுருவி குத்தக்கூடியது. இதனை நாம் எபிரெயர் நிருபத்தில் பின்வருமாறு வாசிக்கின்றோம்:- 

"தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையானது ஜீவனும் வல்லமையும் உள்ளதாயும், இருபுறமும் கருக்குள்ள எந்தப் பட்டயத்திலும் கருக்கானதாயும், ஆத்துமாவையும், ஆவியையும், கணுக்களையும் ஊனையும் பிரிக்கத்தக்கதாக உருவக் குத்துகிறதாயும், இருதயத்தின் நினைவுகளையும் யோசனைகளையும் வகையறுக்கிறதாயும் இருக்கிறது." ( எபிரெயர் 4 : 12 )

ஒருவன் எந்த மார்க்கத்தானாய் இருந்தாலும் மனச்சாட்சி ஒன்றுதான். அதாவது அதுவே அனைவரையும் ஒரே தேவன் உண்டாக்கினார் என்பதற்கு அடையாளம். எனவே எந்த மனிதனும் இறுதி நியாயத் தீர்ப்பில் தேவனுக்குத் தப்பிட  முடியாது. இதனையே அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "அவர்களுடைய மனச்சாட்சியும்கூடச் சாட்சியிடுகிறதினாலும், குற்றமுண்டு குற்றமில்லையென்று அவர்களுடைய சிந்தனைகள் ஒன்றையொன்று தீர்க்கிறதினாலும், நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்கேற்ற கிரியை தங்கள் இருதயங்களில் எழுதியிருக்கிறதென்று காண்பிக்கிறார்கள்." ( ரோமர் 2 : 15 ) ஆம், ஆண்டவரது சட்டங்கள் எல்லா மனிதர்கள் உள்ளத்திலும் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன.

ஆண்டவரது வசனம் நீதியானது, மதங்களுக்கு அப்பாற்பட்டது. அதனால்தான், என் வார்த்தைகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாதவனை நியாயந்தீர்க்கிறதொன்றிருக்கிறது; நான் சொன்ன வசனமே அவனைக் கடைசிநாளில் நியாயந்தீர்க்கும் என்கின்றார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. இதனாலேயே அனைவருக்கும் சுவிசேஷம் அறிவிக்கின்றோம். கிறிஸ்துவைத் தள்ளி அவரது வார்த்தைகளை விசுவாசியாமல் போகும்போது நாம் நீதியாக வாழ முடியாது. அவரது வசனமே நம்மைச் சரியான நீதிப் பாதையில் நடத்த வல்லமையுள்ளது. 

"என் வார்த்தைகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாதவனை நியாயந்தீர்க்கிற தொன்றிருக்கிறது; நான் சொன்ன வசனமே அவனைக் கடைசிநாளில் நியாயந்தீர்க்கும்" என்பது கிறிஸ்துவை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டுள்ளோம் எனக் கூறிக்கொண்டு வசனத்துக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாத வாழ்க்கை வாழ்ந்துகொண்டு தங்களைக் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள்  எனக் கூறிக்கொள்ளும் கிறிஸ்தவர்களுக்கும் பொருந்தும். நமது வாழ்க்கை கிறிஸ்துவின் வசனத்தின்படி உள்ளதா? என்பதனையும் நாம் ஆராய்ந்து பார்க்கக் கடமைப்பட்டுள்ளோம்.

"AATHAVAN" | August 18 | Tuesday, 2026

"He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day." — John 12:48

Before His ascension to heaven, Jesus Christ gave an important commandment to His disciples. We read this in the Scriptures:

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." — Mark 16:15–16

Accepting or rejecting Christ is an individual's personal choice. However, we understand that proclaimed truth to everyone is the duty of Christians. Preaching Christ is our sole responsibility; it is a vital command given by Christ. Christians fulfil this mandate—it is not about forced religious conversion.

Errors occur when certain foolish or immature ministers—who lack true scriptural knowledge and spiritual experience—claim to do ministry. They try to impose Christ upon people. We are called only to sow the words of the Lord Jesus; we cannot forcibly plant it in anyone's heart, nor can we compel anyone to come into Christ.

In today's meditation verse, Jesus Christ conveys this truth: sow My words. As for the one who rejects them, the word that I have spoken will judge him. Indeed, the Word of God is quick and powerful. It pierces the human heart, penetrating the soul, thoughts, actions, and even the physical body. We read of this in the Epistle to the Hebrews:

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." — Hebrews 4:12

Regardless of a person's religious background, conscience remains uniform across all humanity—it stands as proof that one God created everyone. Therefore, no human being can escape God's final judgment. As the Apostle Paul writes:

"Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;"— Romans 2:15  

Yes, the laws of the Lord are written on the hearts of all people.

The Word of the Lord is righteous and transcends religions. That is why Jesus Christ said, "He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day." This is why we preach the Gospel to all. When we reject Christ and disbelieve His words, we cannot live righteously. His Word alone has the power to lead us in the true path of righteousness.

Furthermore, this warning—"He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day"—applies equally to those who claim to accept Christ and call themselves Christians, yet live in disobedience to His Word. We are duty-bound to examine ourselves and ask: Is our life truly aligned with the Word of Christ?
