தியானம் - 2014
"ஆதவன்"ஆகஸ்ட் 14 வெள்ளி 2026
"கிறிஸ்துவின் அன்பைவிட்டு நம்மைப் பிரிப்பவன் யார்? உபத்திரவமோ, வியாகுலமோ, துன்பமோ, பசியோ, நிர்வாணமோ. நாசமோசமோ, பட்டயமோ? இவை எல்லாவற்றிலேயும் நாம் நம்மில் அன்புகூருகிறவராலே முற்றும் ஜெயம் கொள்ளுகிறவர்களாய் இருக்கிறோமே." ( ரோமர் 8 : 36, 37 )
நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் வியத்தகு அன்பைக் குறித்தும் அந்த அன்பு நம்மில் செயல்படுத்தும் ஆவிக்குரிய மாற்றங்களைக்குறித்தும் இன்றைய தியான வசனம் எடுத்துக்கூறுகின்றது.
கிறிஸ்துவின் அன்பு நம்மில் செயல்படுவதால் நாம் இந்த உலகத்தின் துன்பங்கள், பிரச்சனைகள், வேதனைகளைத் தாங்கக்கூடிய பெலனுள்ளவர்களாக மாறுகின்றோம் என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. உபத்திரவங்கள், வியாகுலங்கள், துன்பங்கள், பசி, நிர்வாணம் எனும் வறுமைநிலை, நாசமோசம், பட்டயம் எனும் நமக்கு எதிரான எதிரியின் செயல்பாடுகள் இவை எதுவும் கிறிஸ்துவின் அன்பைவிட்டு நம்மைப் பிரிக்காது.
இந்த உலகத்தில் சில காதலர்களின் வாழ்கையினைக்குறித்து நாம் பார்க்கின்றோம். பெற்றோர்கள் தங்களது காதலைப் பிரிக்க முயலுவதால் தாங்கள் சேர்ந்து வாழ முடியாத விரக்தியில் காதலர்கள் சேர்ந்து தற்கொலை செய்து மடிவதை சிலவேளைகளில் பத்திரிகைச் செய்திகளில் நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். காரணம், அவர்களுக்கிடையிலான அன்பு அவர்களைப் பிரிக்க முயலும் சக்திகளுக்கு ஈடுகொடுக்க முடிவதில்லை.
ஆனால் நமது ஆண்டவராகிய கிறிஸ்து சர்வ வல்லவர். உலகக் காதலர்களைப் பிரிக்க பெற்றோர்களும் உறவினர்களும் இருப்பதுபோல நமக்கும் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குமிடையிலான ஆவிக்குரிய அன்பினைப் பிரிக்க, உபத்திரவங்கள், வியாகுலங்கள், துன்பங்கள், பசி, நிர்வாணம் எனும் வறுமைநிலை, நாசமோசம், பட்டயம் இவைகள் செயல்படுகின்றன. ஆனால், நாம் நம்மில் அன்புகூருகிற கிறிஸ்துவினாலே இவைகளிலிருந்து முற்றும் ஜெயம் கொள்ளுகிறவர்களாய் இருக்கிறோம்.
நாம் கிறிஸ்துவின் பிள்ளைகளாக இருக்கின்றோம். அவர் நமது அன்பான பெற்றோர்களைப்போல இருப்பதால் நாம் இந்தத் துன்பங்களைச் சகிக்கமுடிகின்றது. ஆம், "நாம் தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளாயிருக்கிறோமென்று ஆவியானவர்தாமே நம்முடைய ஆவியுடனேகூடச் சாட்சி கொடுக்கிறார்." ( ரோமர் 8 : 16 )
இந்த உலகத்தில் நாம் படும் பாடுகளும் துன்பங்களும் எதிர்காலத்தில் நாம் அனுபவிக்கப்போகும் மகிமைக்குமுன் ஒன்றுமில்லாதவை. இந்த எண்ணமே நம்மைப் பாடுகளைச் சகிக்க உதவுகின்றது. இதனையே அப்போஸ்தலமான பவுல், "ஆதலால் இக்காலத்துப் பாடுகள் இனி நம்மிடத்தில் வெளிப்படும் மகிமைக்கு ஒப்பிடத்தக்கவைகள் அல்லவென்று எண்ணுகிறேன்" ( ரோமர் 8 : 18 ) என்கின்றார். இப்படி இருப்பதால்தான் இன்றைய தியான வசனம் துணிவுடன் கேள்வியெழுப்புகின்றது:- "கிறிஸ்துவின் அன்பைவிட்டு நம்மைப் பிரிப்பவன் யார்?" என்று. பவுல் அப்போஸ்தலர் எழுப்பும் இக்கேள்வியை நாமும் துணித்துக்கூறி நமது விசுவாசத்தை அறிக்கையிடுவோம்.

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?... Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us." — Romans 8:35, 37
Today’s meditation verse speaks about the marvellous love of our Lord Jesus Christ and the spiritual transformations that this love works within us.
It tells us that because the love of Christ is active within us, we are made strong to endure the tribulations, problems, and sorrows of this world. Tribulations, distress, persecution, famine, the poverty of nakedness, peril, and the sword—the enemy's actions against us—none of these can separate us from the love of Christ.
We observe the lives of some lovers in this world. Sometimes we read in newspaper reports that when parents try to separate their love, the lovers commit suicide together in despair because they cannot live together. The reason is that the love between them cannot stand against the forces trying to tear them apart.
But our Lord Christ is Almighty. Just as parents and relatives exist to separate worldly lovers, forces like tribulations, distress, persecution, famine, poverty, peril, and the sword act to separate the spiritual love between us and Christ. However, through Christ who loved us, we are more than conquerors over all these things.
We are the children of Christ. Because He is like a loving parent to us, we are able to endure these afflictions. Yes, "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God." — Romans 8:16
The sufferings and afflictions we undergo in this world are nothing compared to the glory we are going to experience in the future. This very thought helps us to endure our sufferings. The Apostle Paul states this exact truth: "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." — Romans 8:18
It is because of this that today’s meditation verse boldly poses the question: "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?" Let us also boldly declare this question raised by Apostle Paul and confess our faith!
