"ஆதவன்" தியானம் - 1984

ஜூலை 14 செவ்வாய் 2026     

"நீங்கள் நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் மகிமையை அடையும்பொருட்டாக எங்கள் சுவிசேஷத்தினாலே அந்த இரட்சிப்புக்கு அவர் உங்களை அழைத்தார்." ( 2 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 2 : 14 ) 

எந்தத் தகப்பனும் தாயும் தங்களது பிள்ளைகள் தங்களைவிடக் கீழானவர்களாக மாறவேண்டும் என எண்ணுவதில்லை. தங்களைப்போல தங்கள் பிள்ளைகளும் மாறவேண்டும் என்றுதான் விரும்புவார்கள். அல்லது தங்களைவிட மேலானவர்களாக மாறவேண்டுமென்று உழைப்பார்கள்.  உதாரணமாக, மருத்துவத் தொழில் செய்பவர்கள் தங்களது பிள்ளைகள் மருத்துவராக மாறுவதையே விருப்பி அதற்கான முயற்சிகளில் ஈடுபடுவார்கள். 

இப்படித் தங்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்காக உழைத்து அவர்களைத்  தங்களைவிட மேலானவர்களாக மாற்றும்போது அது பெற்றோருக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியளிக்குமல்லவா?  சமீபகாலங்களில் செய்தித்தாள்களில்  "ஆட்டோ ஓட்டுனரின் மகள் மாவட்ட ஆட்சியாளர் ஆனார்"  என்றும், "ஹோட்டல் தொழிலாளியின் மகன் I.P.S. அதிகாரியானார்" என்றும் சிலவேளைகளில் செய்திகள் வெளிவருவதுண்டு. அப்போது அந்தத் தகப்பனுக்கும் தாய்க்கும் எவ்வளவு மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருக்கும்!!. ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவும் நம்மைக்குறித்து இப்படி மகிழ்ச்சியடைய விரும்புகின்றார். 

அதனையே இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் நாம், "நீங்கள் நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் மகிமையை அடையும்பொருட்டாக அவர் உங்களை அழைத்தார்" என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம்.  நாம் நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவைப்போல வாழ்ந்து, அவர் பிதாவிடம் பெற்ற மகிமையை நாமும் அடைந்திடவேண்டும். 

  

நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து தாம் உலகில் வாழ்ந்தகாலத்தில் இதற்காக பிதாவிடம் ஜெபித்ததையும்  வேதாகமத்தில், "நாம் ஒன்றாயிருக்கிறதுபோல அவர்களும் ஒன்றாயிருக்கும்படி, நீர் எனக்குத் தந்த மகிமையை நான் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தேன்" ( யோவான் 17 : 22 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

ஒருவர் மருத்துவராக அல்லது I.A.S / I.P.S. அதிகாரியாக மாறவேண்டுமானால் அதற்குக் கடினமாகப் படித்து  உழைக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். இதுபோலவே, நாம் கிறிஸ்துவின் மகிமையினை அடைந்திடச் செய்யவேண்டிய காரியத்தையே இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில்,  "எங்கள் சுவிசேஷத்தினாலே அந்த இரட்சிப்புக்கு அவர் உங்களை அழைத்தார்" என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதாவது நாம் சுவிசேஷ சத்தியங்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து இரட்சிப்பு அனுபவத்தைப் பெறும்போது அதற்கான ஆயத்தப்படியில் கால்பதிக்கின்றோம். பின்னர் அந்த அனுபவத்தில் வளர்ச்சியடைந்து மகிமைமேல் மகிமையடைந்து கிறிஸ்துவைப்போல மாறுகின்றோம். 

இதனால்தான் சுவிசேஷ அறிவிப்பு மேலானதாகக் கருதப்படுகின்றது. இதனையே பவுல், "எங்கள் சுவிசேஷத்தினாலே" என்று கூறுகின்றார். அதாவது நாங்கள் அறிவிக்கும் சுவிசேஷத்தினாலே என்று கூறுகின்றார். எழுதப்பட்டுள்ள சுவிசேஷம் அறிவிக்கப்படவேண்டும். அப்போதுதான் பலரை அதுச்சென்றடையும். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, பலரும் நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் மகிமையை அடையும்பொருட்டாக நமது சுவிசேஷத்தினாலே அந்த இரட்சிப்புக்கு அவர் நம்மை அழைத்துள்ளார். சுவிசேஷ அறிவிப்பு வெறும் தேவ வசனங்களை மக்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பது மட்டுமல்ல, நமது வாழ்க்கையாலும் நாம் அவரை அறிவிக்கலாம். நமது சாட்சியுள்ள வாழ்க்கையே மேலான சுவிசேஷ  அறிவிப்பாக இருக்கும். அதற்கு கிறிஸ்து முதலில் நமக்குள் வரவேண்டியது அவசியம். 

நமது பாவங்களை அவரிடம் அறிக்கையிட்டு அவரை நமக்குள் வரவேற்போம். அப்போது நமது வாழ்க்கை மாறும். சாட்சியுள்ள நமது வாழ்க்கை பலரையும் கிறிஸ்துவிடம் அழைத்துச் சேர்க்கும்.

"It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ." — 2 Thessalonians 2:14

No father or mother desires for their children to become lesser than themselves. They always wish for their children to become like them, or they labour so that their children might reach even greater heights than they did. For example, parents in the medical profession naturally desire for their children to become doctors and actively work toward that goal.

When parents labour for their children and see them excel beyond themselves, doesn't it bring them deep joy? In recent times, we sometimes read news headlines such as: "Auto-rickshaw driver's daughter becomes District Collector" or "Hotel worker's son becomes an I.P.S. officer." Imagine how much joy fills the hearts of those parents at that moment! Yes, dear ones, our Lord Jesus Christ likewise desires to rejoice over us in this manner.

This is precisely what we read in today’s meditation verse: "He called you that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ." We are called to live like our Lord Jesus Christ and share in the very glory He received from the Father.

In Scripture, we read how our Lord Jesus Christ prayed to the Father for this very purpose during His time on earth:

"The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one." — John 17:22

For someone to become a doctor or an I.A.S. / I.P.S. officer, diligent study and hard work are essential. Similarly, regarding what we must do to gain the glory of Christ, today’s meditation verse tells us: "It was for this He called you through our gospel to that salvation." That is to say, when we obey the truths of the Gospel and enter into the experience of salvation, we take our first step in preparation. As we grow in that experience, we are transformed from glory to glory to become like Christ.

This is why the proclamation of the Gospel is considered paramount. Paul highlights this by saying, "through our gospel"—meaning, through the Gospel that we preach. The written Gospel must be proclaimed so that it may reach many.

Yes, dear ones, He has called us to that salvation through our Gospel so that many may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Proclaiming the Gospel is not merely delivering God's Word to people verbally; we can also proclaim Him through our lives. A witness-bearing life is the highest form of Gospel proclamation. For that to happen, Christ must first dwell within us.

Let us confess our sins to Him and welcome Him into our lives. Then, our lives will be transformed, and our faithful witness will bring many to Christ.
