🦋 Meditation verse - ஓசியா 8 : 12 / Hosea 8:12

 "ஆதவன்" தியானம் - 1976

ஜூலை 06, திங்கள் 2026     

"என் வேதத்தின் மகத்துவங்களை அவர்களுக்கு எழுதிக்கொடுத்தேன்; அவைகளை அந்நியகாரியமாக எண்ணினார்கள்." ( ஓசியா 8 : 12 ) 

தேவன் மனிதர்களது நல்வாழ்வுக்காக பல்வேறு கட்டளைகளையும் அந்தக் கட்டளைகளைக் கடைபிடித்து வாழ்ந்த பரிசுத்தவான்களது வாழ்க்கை அனுபவங்களையும் நமக்கு வேதாகமாகத் தந்துள்ளார். காரணம், நாம் அவைகளை உணர்ந்து, அவற்றின்படி வாழ்ந்து நித்தியஜீவனை அடையவேண்டும் என்பதற்காகவே. இதற்காகவே தேவன் ஆரம்ப காலங்களில் தீர்க்கதரிசிகள்மூலம் பல்வேறு விதங்களில்  பேசினார். இறுதியில் தமது குமாரனாகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துமூலம் பேசினார். இவைகளே வேதாகமத்தில் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன. 

"பூர்வகாலங்களில் பங்குபங்காகவும் வகைவகையாகவும், தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் மூலமாய்ப் பிதாக்களுக்குத் திருவுளம்பற்றின தேவன், இந்தக் கடைசி நாட்களில் குமாரன் மூலமாய் நமக்குத் திருவுளம்பற்றினார்; இவரைச் சர்வத்துக்கும் சுதந்தரவாளியாக நியமித்தார், இவரைக்கொண்டு உலகங்களையும் உண்டாக்கினார்."( எபிரெயர் 1 : 1, 2 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம்.

மேலும், இந்தத் "தீர்க்கதரிசனமானது ஒருகாலத்திலும் மனுஷருடைய சித்தத்தினாலே உண்டாகவில்லை; தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்த மனுஷர்கள் பரிசுத்த ஆவியினாலே ஏவப்பட்டுப் பேசினார்கள்" ( 2 பேதுரு 1 : 21 ) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.

ஆனால், "எனது நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின் கட்டளைகளை நான் அவர்களுக்காக எழுதியிருந்தும், அவை அந்நியமானவைகளாகக் கருதப்படுகின்றன" என வேதனையுடன் கூறுகின்றார் தேவன். அதாவது, இந்தக் கட்டளைகள் எங்களுக்கானவை அல்ல என்று மக்கள் கருதுகின்றார்கள் என்கிறார் தேவன். 

ஒவ்வொரு பள்ளியிலும்  கல்லூரியிலும் தங்களுக்கென சில விதிமுறைகள் வைத்திருப்பார்கள். அந்தப் பள்ளியிலோ கல்லூரியிலோ நாம் தொடர்ந்து பயிலவேண்டுமானால் அந்த விதிமுடைகளை நாம் பின்பற்றியாகவேண்டும். "இத்தகைய விதிமுறைகள் வேறு பள்ளிகளிலும் கல்லூரிகளிலும் இல்லை எனவே இவற்றைக் இங்கு நான் கடைபிடிக்கமுடியாது" என்று நாம் கூறமுடியாது. 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, வேறு மார்க்கங்களில் உள்ளதுபோல கிறிஸ்தவ மார்க்கம் நமக்குக் கற்றுத்தரவில்லை. நமது தேவன் பரிசுத்தர். எனவே கிறிஸ்தவ மார்க்கத்தின் கட்டளைகளும் நாம் அவரைப்போல பரிசுத்தமடையவே எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன. "நான் பரிசுத்தர், ஆகையால் நீங்களும் பரிசுத்தராயிருங்கள் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறதே." ( 1 பேதுரு 1 : 16 )

தேவன் எழுதிக்கொடுத்த வேதாகம வார்த்தைகளை நாம் எவ்வளவுக்கு எவ்வளவு அதிகம் நேசிக்கின்றோமோ, தியானிக்கின்றோமோ அதற்கேற்ப தேவன் நம்மை ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் மேன்மையாக வைப்பார். எனவேதான் மோசே மூலம் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்குத் தேவன் பின்வருமாறு  கூறினார்:-  "நீங்கள் என் வார்த்தைகளை உங்கள் இருதயத்திலும் உங்கள் ஆத்துமாவிலும் பதித்து, அவைகளை உங்கள் கையின்மேல் அடையாளமாகக் கட்டி, உங்கள் கண்களின் நடுவே ஞாபகக்குறியாக வைத்து, அவைகளை உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு உபதேசித்து, நீங்கள் வீட்டில் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிறபோதும், வழியிலே நடக்கிறபோதும், படுத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறபோதும், எழுந்திருக்கிறபோதும் அவைகளைக் குறித்துப் பேசுவீர்களாக. அவைகளை உங்கள் வீட்டு நிலைகளிலும் உங்கள் வாசல்களிலும் எழுதுவீர்களாக." ( உபாகமம் 11 : 19 - 21 )

தேவன் எழுதிக்கொடுத்துள்ள வேதாகமம் அந்நிய காரியமல்ல. அது நமக்கு வாழ்வுக்கான வழிகாட்டி. மோசே கூறியபடி அந்த வேத வசனங்களை நமது பிள்ளைகளுக்குச் சிறு வயதிலேயே நாம் கற்றுக்கொடுக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம்; அவற்றைக்குறித்து நமது பிள்ளைகளிடம் பேசவேண்டியது அவசியம். ஆம், "கட்டளையே விளக்கு, வேதமே வெளிச்சம், போதகசிட்சையே ஜீவவழி." ( நீதிமொழிகள் 6 : 23 ) தேவன் எழுதிக்கொடுத்த வேதத்தின் மகத்துவத்தை அலட்சியப்படுத்தாமல் மதித்து நடப்போம்.

"AATHAVAN" Meditation - 1976

"Though I wrote for him ten thousand precepts of My law, they are regarded as a strange thing." — Hosea 8:12

For the well-being of humanity, God has given us the Holy Bible, containing various commandments and the life experiences of the saints who lived by them. He did this so that we might understand them, live according to them, and attain eternal life. It was for this very purpose that, in ancient times, God spoke in many portions and in many ways through the prophets. In these last days, He has spoken to us through His Son, Jesus Christ. These are the truths recorded in the Bible.

We read in Hebrews 1:1–2:

"God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world."

Furthermore, concerning how Scripture came to be, 2 Peter 1:21 states:

"for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God."

Yet, God speaks with deep sorrow: "Though I wrote for him ten thousand precepts of My law, they are regarded as a strange thing." In other words, God is saying that people view these commandments as if they do not apply to them.

Every school and college has its own set of rules and regulations. If we wish to continue studying in that school or college, we must abide by those rules. We cannot excuse ourselves by saying, "These rules do not exist in other schools or colleges, so I cannot follow them here."

Yes, dearly beloved, Christianity does not teach us to live the way other religions might. Our God is holy. Therefore, the commandments of the Christian faith are written precisely so that we may become holy just as He is holy. As it is written:

"because it is written, 'You shall be holy, for I am holy.'" — 1 Paragraph 1:16 (1 Peter 1:16)

The more we love and meditate upon the words of the Bible that God has written for us, the more God will elevate us in our spiritual lives. That is why God spoke to the people of Israel through Moses as follows:

"You shall therefore impress these words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets on your forehead. You shall teach them to your sons, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates." — Deuteronomy 11:18–20 (Note: The Tamil citation references vv. 19-21, matching NASB vv. 18-20).

The Bible that God has written for us is not a "strange thing." It is our guide for life. Just as Moses said, it is vital that we teach these scriptural words to our children from a young age and speak to them about them. For indeed:

"For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching is spirit; and reproofs for discipline are the way of life." — Proverbs 6:23

Let us not neglect the greatness of the Word that God has written for us, but rather let us honour it and walk according to it.
