🦋 Meditation verse - மத்தேயு 6 : 22, 23 / Matthew 6:22, 23

"ஆதவன்" தியானம் - 1998

ஜூலை 28 செவ்வாய் 2026   

"கண்ணானது சரீரத்தின் விளக்காயிருக்கிறது; உன் கண் தெளிவாயிருந்தால், உன் சரீரம் முழுவதும் வெளிச்சமாயிருக்கும். உன் கண் கெட்டதாயிருந்தால், உன் சரீரம் முழுவதும் இருளாயிருக்கும்; இப்படி உன்னிலுள்ள வெளிச்சம் இருளாயிருந்தால், அவ்விருள் எவ்வளவு அதிகமாயிருக்கும்!" ( மத்தேயு 6 : 22, 23 )

ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் மனிதர்களின் ஆவிக்குரிய பார்வையினைக்குறித்துக் கூறுகின்றார். நமது உடலில் கண்ணானது ஒரு முக்கியமான உறுப்பு. நமது பார்வைத்  தெளிவாக இருந்தால்தான் நம்மால் உலகினை பார்க்கமுடியும்; அதன் அழகினை ரசிக்கமுடியும்; எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் மேலாக இடறிடாமல் நம்மால் நடக்கமுடியும். 

இப்படி நமது ஆவிக்குரிய கண்ணனது பார்க்கமுடியாமல் கெட்டதாயிருந்தால், நமது உடல் முழுவதும் பாவ இருளாயிருக்கும்; இப்படி நம்மிலுள்ள ஆவிக்குரிய வெளிச்சம் இருளாயிருந்தால், அவ்விருள் எவ்வளவு அதிகமாயிருக்கும்! என்கின்றார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. 

இயேசு கிறிஸ்து பல ஆவிக்குரிய சத்தியங்களை எளிமையான உவமைகளாக மக்களுக்கு எடுத்துக்கூறி அவர்களைத் தெளிவுபடுத்த விரும்பினார். ஆனால் அந்த மக்கள் அதனை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவில்லை. எனவே,  தன்னையும்  தான் கூறியதையும்  உணர்ந்துகொள்ளாத யூதர்களைப்பார்த்து, "இந்த ஜனங்கள் கண்களினால் காணாமலும், காதுகளினால் கேளாமலும், இருதயத்தினால் உணர்ந்து மனந்திரும்பாமலும், நான் அவர்களை ஆரோக்கியமாக்காமலும் இருக்கும்படியாக, அவர்கள் இருதயம் கொழுத்திருக்கிறது; காதால் மந்தமாய்க் கேட்டு, தங்கள் கண்களை மூடிக்கொண்டார்கள் என்பதே." ( மத்தேயு 13 : 15 ) என்று கூறினார். 

அதாவது கிறிஸ்துவையும் அவர் கூறிய உண்மைகளையும்  அறிய முடியாமல் மனிதர்களின் ஆவிக்குரிய பார்வை குறைவாக இருக்கக் காரணம் அவர்களது இருதயம் கொழுத்திருப்பதுதான் என்று கூறினார்.  இதனை நாம்  அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 28 : 27 பகுதிகளிலும் வாசிக்கலாம். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, உலக ஆசை இச்சை இவைகளால் நமது இருதயம் கொழுத்திருக்குமானால் நம்மால் தெளிவாக எதனையும் பார்க்கவோ கேட்கவோ முடியாது.  இப்படி மனிதர்களது இருதயம் கொழுத்திருப்பதனால் ஆவிக்குரிய சத்தியங்களைத் தெளிவாகப் புரிந்துகொள்ள முடியாதவர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர்.  எனவேதான் கிறிஸ்து மட்டுமே நமக்கு எல்லாமாக இருக்கின்றார் என்பதனையோ அவரை மட்டுமே நாம் அண்டிக்கொள்ளவேண்டும் என்பதனையோ பலரும் உணர்ந்துகொள்ளாமல் இருக்கின்றனர். 

நாம் நமது பார்வையில் குறைவு ஏற்படுமானால் உடனேயே மருத்துவமனைக்குச் சென்று கண் பரிசோதனை செய்து பார்வைத் தெளிவடையவேண்டி அதற்கான மருத்துவ சிகிர்சையை மேற்கொள்ளுகின்றோம். இதுபோல, நமது ஆவிக்குரிய பார்வைக்குறைபாட்டையும் நாம் சரிசெய்ய முயற்சி எடுக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். 

ஆனால் இன்று பிரச்னை என்னவென்றால் பலரும் தங்களது பார்வைக்குறைவை உணர்வதுமில்லை அதனை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதுமில்லை. இப்படியே அன்றைய யூதர்களும் இருந்தனர். எனவேதான் "இயேசு அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் குருடராயிருந்தால் உங்களுக்குப் பாவமிராது; நீங்கள் காண்கிறோம் என்று சொல்லுகிறபடியினால் உங்கள் பாவம் நிலைநிற்கிறது என்றார்." ( யோவான் 9 : 41 )

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் குருடர்கள் என்பதனை ஒத்துக்கொள்வோமானால் நாம் நியாயம்தீர்க்கப்படமாட்டோம்;  கிறிஸ்துவும் தன்னை நமக்கு வெளிப்படுத்துவார். ஆனால் நாம் "நாங்கள் குருடர்களல்ல, நன்றாக பார்வை பெற்றவர்கள்" என்று கூறிக்கொண்டு அவரை வாழ்வில் அறியாமல் இருப்போமானால் நமது பாவம் நிலைநிற்கும். 

நமது ஆவிக்குரிய பார்வையினைக்குறித்துத் தெளிவுள்ளவர்களாக இருப்போம்.  அவரை நாம் எப்படி அறிந்திருக்கின்றோம் என்பதனை நிதானித்துப்பார்ப்போம். கிறிஸ்துவைகுறித்த நமது ஆவிக்குரிய பார்வை தெளிவாக இருக்குமானால் நமது சரீரம் முழுவதும் பாவக்கறை இல்லாமல் வெளிச்சமாயிருக்கும். நமக்குக் கிறிஸ்துவைகுறித்த பார்வைக் குறைந்து நமது ஆவிக்குரிய கண் கெட்டதாயிருந்தால், நமது  சரீரம் முழுவதும் பாவ இருளாயிருக்கும்.

"AATHAVAN" Meditation - 1998

"The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!" (Matthew 6:22, 23)

In today's meditation verse, the Lord Jesus Christ speaks about the spiritual vision of human beings. The eye is an essential organ in our body. Only if our vision is clear can we see the world, enjoy its beauty, and above all, walk without stumbling.

In the same way, if our spiritual eye is unable to see and becomes evil, our entire body will be filled with the darkness of sin. If the spiritual light within us is darkness, how great is that darkness! says Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ desired to bring clarity to the people by explaining many spiritual truths through simple parables. But the people did not accept them. Therefore, looking at the Jews who failed to perceive Him and His teachings, He said:

"For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them." (Matthew 13:15)

That is, He explained that the reason human spiritual vision is deficient—leaving them unable to know Christ and the truths He spoke—is because their hearts have waxed gross (grown dull/callous). We can also read this passage in Acts 28:27.

Yes, beloved ones, if our heart becomes gross through worldly desires and lusts, we will not be able to see or hear anything clearly. Because human hearts have grown dull like this, many are unable to clearly understand spiritual truths. This is why many fail to realize that Christ alone is our everything, and that we must rely solely on Him.

If we experience a decline in our physical vision, we immediately go to an eye hospital, get a vision test, and undergo medical treatment to restore clear sight. In the same way, it is necessary for us to make an effort to correct our spiritual vision defects as well.

However, the problem today is that many do not even realize their defect in vision, nor do they accept it. The Jews of that day were just like this. Therefore,

"Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, we see; therefore, your sin remaineth." (John 9:41)

Yes, beloved ones, if we acknowledge that we are blind, we will not be judged, and Christ will reveal Himself to us. But if we say, "We are not blind, we have good sight," while living without truly knowing Him, our sin remains.

Let us be clear concerning our spiritual vision. Let us examine how we have known Him. If our spiritual vision concerning Christ is clear, our whole body will be filled with light, free from the stain of sin. But if our vision of Christ diminishes and our spiritual eye becomes evil, our entire body will be in the darkness of sin.
