தியானம் - 2037
பிரபலமான ஊழியர் ஒருவரது தலைமை அலுவலகத்துக்கு ஒருமுறை சென்றிருந்தேன். அங்கு பணியிலிருந்த அலுவலர் என்னிடம் ஒரு விண்ணப்பத்தைக்கொடுத்து எதற்காக ஜெபிக்கும்படி சகோதரரைப் பார்க்க விரும்புகிறீர்கள் என்பதனை இந்தப் படிவத்தில் பூர்த்திசெய்து தாருங்கள் என்று கூறினார். அதில் சுமார் 15 பல்வேறு கோரிக்கைகள் அச்சிடப்பட்டிருந்தன. எல்லாமே உலகத் தேவைகளும், பிரச்சனைகளும்தான். இறுதியாக ஒரு கோரிக்கைமட்டும், "ஆன்மீக காரியங்களில் வளர்ச்சிபெற" என்று குறிப்பிடப்பட்டிருந்தது.
அதாவது பிரபல ஊழியர் உலக காரியங்களையே மக்களிடம் பிரசங்கித்து அதற்காகவே ஜெபிக்கிறவராக இருக்கின்றார். இன்றைய தியான வசனம் இதற்கு முற்றிலும் வேறான ஆவிக்குரிய உண்மையினை நமக்கு எடுத்துக் கூறுவதாக உள்ளது.
முதலில் நாம் பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டு கிறிஸ்துவின் மீட்பு அனுபவத்தைப் பெறவேண்டியது அவசியம். இப்படி நமது பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டு நாம் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள்ளான மனிதர்களாக மாறிவிடும்போது பாவத்துக்கு மரித்தவர்களாகின்றோம். மட்டுமல்ல, கிறிஸ்து மரித்து உயிர்த்ததைப்போல நாமும் புது மனிதர்களாக உயிர்பெறுகின்றோம். இப்படி நாம் அவரது மரணத்திலும் உயிர்ப்பிலும் அவரோடுகூட இணைக்கப்பட்டவர்களாகின்றோம். இதுதான் ஆவிக்குரிய சத்தியம்.
ஞானஸ்நானம் இதற்கு ஒரு அடையாளமாக இருக்கின்றது. "ஞானஸ்நானத்திலே அவரோடேகூட அடக்கம் பண்ணப்பட்டவர்களாகவும், அதிலே அவரை மரித்தோரிலிருந்தெழுப்பின தேவனுடைய செயலின் மேலுள்ள விசுவாசத்தினாலே அவரோடகூட எழுந்தவர்களாகவும் இருக்கிறீர்கள்." ( கொலோசெயர் 2 : 12 ) என்று நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம்.
இப்படி நாம் மெய்யான மனம்திரும்புதல்பெற்று ஞானஸ்நானம் பெறும்போது கிறிஸ்துவுடன் மரித்து நாமும் உயிர்தெழுந்துள்ளோம் என்று அறிக்கையிடுகின்றோம். உண்மையான ஆவிக்குரிய ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்றவர்கள் கிறிஸ்துவுடன்கூட எழுந்த அனுபவத்துடன் கிறிஸ்து தேவனுடைய வலதுபாரிசத்தில் வீற்றிருக்கும் இடத்திலுள்ள மேலானவைகளைத் தேடுகின்றவர்களாக இருப்பார்கள்.
நமக்கான நிலையான வீட்டினை ஏற்பாடுசெய்ய ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துச் சென்றுள்ளார். இதனையே ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து தனது சீடர்களுக்கு, "என் பிதாவின் வீட்டில் அநேக வாசஸ்தலங்கள் உண்டு; அப்படியில்லாதிருந்தால், நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லியிருப்பேன்; ஒரு ஸ்தலத்தை உங்களுக்காக ஆயத்தம்பண்ணப்போகிறேன். நான் போய் உங்களுக்காக ஸ்தலத்தை ஆயத்தம்பண்ணினபின்பு, நான் இருக்கிற இடத்திலே நீங்களும் இருக்கும்படி, நான் மறுபடியும் வந்து உங்களை என்னிடத்தில் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளுவேன்" ( யோவான் 14 : 2, 3 ) என்று முன்னறிவித்தார்.
அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுலும், "பூமிக்குரிய கூடாரமாகிய நம்முடைய வீடு அழிந்துபோனாலும், தேவனால் கட்டப்பட்ட கைவேலையல்லாத நித்திய வீடு பரலோகத்தில் நமக்கு உண்டென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்." ( 2 கொரிந்தியர் 5 : 1 ) என்கின்றார். நாம் கிறிஸ்துவுடன்கூட பாவத்துக்கு மரித்து ஜீவனுக்கென்று எழுந்தது உண்மையானால் இந்த நிதியவீட்டின்மேல் ஆர்வமுள்ளவர்களாக இருப்போம். இதனையே இன்றைய தியான வசனம் நமக்கு எடுத்துக்கூறுகின்றது.
அதாவது, முதலில் நாம் கிறிஸ்துவுடன் மரிக்கவேண்டும்; புதிய மனிதர்களாக அவருக்குள் உயிர்ந்தெழவேண்டும். ஞானஸ்நானம் பெறுவதன்மூலம் அதனை வெளியரங்கமாக அறிக்கையிடுகின்றோம். "ஆகையால் கிறிஸ்துவுடனேகூட நாம் மரித்தோமானால், அவருடனே கூடப்பிழைத்தும் இருப்போம் என்று நம்புகிறோம்." ( ரோமர் 6 : 8 )
ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, வெறும் உலக காரியங்களுக்காக ஜெபிக்கின்றவர்களாகவும் அவற்றையே வாழ்வில் தேடுகின்றவர்களாகவும் இல்லாமல், ஆவிக்குரிய மேலான காரியங்களையே நமது வாழ்வில் வாஞ்சிக்கிறவர்களாக இருப்போம்.

"Therefore, if
you have been raised with Christ, keep seeking the things that are above, where
Christ is, seated at the right hand of God." (Colossians
3:1, NASB)
I once visited the
headquarters of a well-known minister. The staff member on duty handed me an
application form and requested, "Please fill out this form stating why you
would like to meet the brother for prayer." The sheet listed about 15 different
prayer requests, almost all of which were centred around worldly needs and
personal struggles. Only the very last option read: "To grow in spiritual
matters."
This clearly reflected how
that prominent minister primarily preached about earthly matters and focused
his prayers on them. Today's meditation verse presents a spiritual reality that
stands in stark contrast to such a mindset.
First, it is essential that
our sins are forgiven and that we experience the redemption found in Christ.
When our sins are forgiven and we are transformed into people in Christ, we
become dead to sin. Not only that, but just as Christ died and rose again, we
too come alive as new creations. In this way, we are united with Him in both
His death and His resurrection. This is the core spiritual truth.
Water baptism serves as a
visible sign of this reality. Scripture tells us:
"having been buried
with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised with Him through faith in
the working of God, who raised Him from the dead." (Colossians
2:12, NASB)
When we experience genuine
repentance and undergo baptism, we publicly testify that we have died with
Christ and have been raised with Him. Those who have experienced true spiritual
baptism will live out this resurrection life by actively seeking the higher,
heavenly things where Christ sits at the right hand of God.
Our Lord Jesus Christ has
gone ahead to prepare an eternal home for us. He foretold this to His
disciples:
"In My Father’s house
are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to
prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again
and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also." (John
14:2–3, NASB)
The Apostle Paul affirms
this same hope:
"For we know that if
the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God,
a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." (2
Corinthians 5:1, NASB)
If it is truly case that we
have died to sin and been raised to new life with Christ, our deepest desires
will be anchored in this eternal home. This is precisely what today’s
meditation verse urges us to pursue.
Simply put, we must first
die with Christ and then rise as new creations in Him—an inner transformation
we publicly declare through baptism:
"Now if we have died
with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him." (Romans
6:8, NASB)
Dear beloved, let us not be
people who pray merely for temporal, earthly desires or spend our lives chasing
worldly things. Instead, let us earnestly long for and pursue the higher,
spiritual things of God.
