ஆதவன் தியானம்

"கர்த்தருடைய பெரியநாள் சமீபித்திருக்கிறது; அது கிட்டிச்சேர்ந்து மிகவும் தீவிரித்துவருகிறது; கர்த்தருடைய நாளென்கிற சத்தத்துக்குப் பராக்கிரமசாலி முதலாய் அங்கே மனங்கசந்து அலறுவான்." ( செப்பனியா 1 : 14 )

இன்று தங்களைக் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்று கூறிக்கொண்டாலும், கிறிஸ்தவ அடிப்படை சத்தியத்துக்கு விலகி, தேவனால் நமக்கு என்ன உலக ஆசீர்வாதங்கள் கிடைக்கும் என்பதே பலரது வேண்டுதலும் தேடலுமாக இருக்கின்றது. நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் இரண்டாம் வருகையினைக் குறித்து நம்மில் பெரும்பாலோனோர் சிந்திப்பதில்லை, அது குறித்து பலரும் போதிப்பதுமில்லை.  வெறுமையான ஜெபங்களும், வேண்டுதல்களும், ஆராதனைகளும்  பெரிதல்ல, நாம் அவரது வருகைக்குத் தயாராக இருக்கின்றோமா என்பதுதான் ஆவிக்குரிய மக்களாகிய நாம் சிந்திக்கவேண்டிய முக்கிய காரியம். 

கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் வருகையினையே இன்றைய தியான வசனம், "கர்த்தருடைய பெரியநாள் சமீபித்திருக்கிறது; அது கிட்டிச்சேர்ந்து மிகவும் தீவிரித்துவருகிறது" என்று நம்மை எச்சரிக்கின்றது. மட்டுமல்ல, இன்று உலகினில் உடல்பலமும், பணபலமும், அதிகாரபலமும் உள்ளவர்கள்கூட அவரது வருகைக்கு ஆயத்தமாய் இல்லாதிருந்தால் அந்தநாளில் நிலை நிற்க முடியாது. ஆம், "கர்த்தருடைய நாளென்கிற சத்தத்துக்குப் பராக்கிரமசாலி முதலாய் அங்கே மனங்கசந்து அலறுவான்" என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவும் தனது வருகையினைக் குறித்துக் கூறும்போது, "அந்நாட்களின் உபத்திரவம் முடிந்தவுடனே, சூரியன் அந்தகாரப்படும், சந்திரன் ஒளியைக் கொடாதிருக்கும், நட்சத்திரங்கள் வானத்திலிருந்து விழும், வானத்தின் சத்துவங்கள் அசைக்கப்படும். அப்பொழுது மனுஷகுமாரனுடைய அடையாளம் வானத்தில் காணப்படும். அப்பொழுது, மனுஷகுமாரன் வல்லமையோடும் மிகுந்த மகிமையோடும் வானத்தின் மேகங்கள்மேல் வருகிறதை பூமியிலுள்ள சகல கோத்திரத்தாரும் கண்டு புலம்புவார்கள்." ( மத்தேயு 24 : 29, 30 ) என்று கூறினார். 

ஆம், "அந்த நாள் உக்கிரத்தின் நாள்; அது இக்கட்டும் இடுக்கமுமான நாள்; அது அழிவும் பாழ்க்கடிப்புமான நாள்; அது இருளும் அந்தகாரமுமான நாள்; அது மப்பும் மந்தாரமுமான நாள்." ( செப்பனியா 1 : 15 ) இன்று கிருபையுள்ள ஆண்டவராகத் தெரியும் அவர் அன்று நீதியுள்ள நியாதிபதியாக வருவார். அப்போது அவரது கிருபையின்படியல்ல, மாறாக  நமது செயல்களின்படியே அவர் நம்மை நியாயந்தீர்ப்பார். 

ஆனால் அவருக்கு ஏற்புடையவர்களாக வாழும் மக்களுக்கு கர்த்தர் அடைக்கலமாக இருப்பார். நாம் அவருக்கேற்ற வாழ்க்கை வாழ்வோமானால் அந்த நாளில்  பராக்கிரமசாலிகள் கதறி அழுவதுபோல நாம் அழமாட்டோம். காரணம், கர்த்தர் நமக்கு அடைக்கலமும் அரணான கோட்டையாக இருப்பார். "கர்த்தர் சீயோனிலிருந்து கெர்ச்சித்து, எருசலேமிலிருந்து சத்தமிடுவார்; வானமும் பூமியும் அதிரும்; ஆனாலும் கர்த்தர் தமது ஜனத்துக்கு அடைக்கலமும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்கு அரணான கோட்டையுமாயிருப்பார்." ( யோவேல் 3 : 16 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் இரண்டாம் வருகை அவருக்கு ஏற்புடையவர்களாக வாழ்பவர்களுக்கு பயப்படும் நாளல்ல; அது மகிழ்ச்சியின் நாள். மணவாளன் மணவாட்டி இணையும் திருமண நாள். ஆம், இதனை தனது சீடனாகிய யோவானுக்குத் தேவன் வெளிப்படுத்திக்கொடுத்தார். "நாம் சந்தோஷப்பட்டுக் களிகூர்ந்து அவருக்குத் துதிசெலுத்தக்கடவோம். ஆட்டுக்குட்டியானவருடைய கலியாணம் வந்தது, அவருடைய மனைவி தன்னை ஆயத்தம்பண்ணினாள் என்று சொல்லக்கேட்டேன்." ( வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் 19 : 7 ) 

கர்த்தர் வரவிருக்கும் அந்த நாளுக்காகப் பயப்படாமல் இருக்கவேண்டுமானால், "ஆட்டுக்குட்டியானவருடைய கலியாணம் வந்தது, அவருடைய மனைவி தன்னை ஆயத்தம்பண்ணினாள்" எனும் வசத்துக்கேற்ப நம்மை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தி வாழவேண்டியது அவசியம். உலக ஆசீர்வாதங்களுக்கு ஜெபிப்பதும் உழைப்பதும் இறுதிநாளுக்கு நமக்கு எந்த பலனையும் கொண்டுவராது.

“Near is the great day of the LORD, Near and coming very quickly; Listen, the day of the LORD! In it the warrior cries out bitterly.”
(Zephaniah 1:14, NASB)

Today, although many people call themselves Christians, they have moved away from the fundamental truths of Christianity. For many, their prayers and pursuits are primarily focused on what worldly blessings they can receive from God. Most of us do not seriously think about the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and many do not even hear it being preached. Empty prayers, petitions, and worship are not what ultimately matters. The important question we must ask, as people who belong to God, is whether we are truly prepared for His coming.

Today’s meditation verse warns us about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, saying, “Near is the great day of the LORD, Near and coming very quickly.” Moreover, even those who possess physical strength, financial strength, and positions of authority in this world will not be able to stand on that day if they are not prepared for His coming. Yes, Scripture says, “Listen, the day of the LORD! In it the warrior cries out bitterly.”

When our Lord Jesus Christ spoke about His coming, He said:

“But immediately after the tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL FROM THE SKY, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory.”

(Matthew 24:29–30, NASB)

Yes, “That day is a day of wrath, A Day of trouble and distress, A Day of destruction and desolation, A Day of darkness and gloom, A Day of clouds and thick darkness.” (Zephaniah 1:15, NASB)

Today, He is revealed to us as a gracious Lord; but on that day, He will come as the righteous Judge. At that time, He will judge us not according to the worldly standards we have relied upon, but according to our deeds.

However, the Lord will be a refuge for those who live in a manner pleasing to Him. If we live a life that is pleasing to the Lord, we need not cry out in terror on that day like the mighty warriors described in Scripture. The reason is that the Lord Himself will be our refuge and our strong fortress. We read:

“The LORD roars from Zion And utters His voice from Jerusalem, And the heavens and the earth tremble. But the LORD is a refuge for His people And a stronghold to the sons of Israel.” (Joel 3:16, NASB)

The second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ will not be a day of fear for those who live in a manner pleasing to Him; rather, it will be a day of great joy—a day like the wedding day when the bridegroom and bride are united.

Yes, God revealed this to John, His servant and disciple:

“Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.” (Revelation 19:7, NASB)

Therefore, if we do not want to fear the coming day of the Lord, it is essential that we prepare ourselves and live according to this truth: “The marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready.”

Praying and striving merely for worldly blessings will bring us no lasting benefit on the final day. What matters eternally is whether we are ready for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Are we truly prepared for His coming?
