🦋 Meditation verse - ஏசாயா 25 : 4 / Isaiah 25:4

 ஆதவன் தியானம்

"கொடூரமானவர்களின் சீறல் மதிலை மோதியடிக்கிற பெருவெள்ளத்தைப்போல் இருக்கையில், நீர் ஏழைக்குப் பெலனும், நெருக்கப்படுகிற எளியவனுக்குத் திடனும், பெருவெள்ளத்துக்குத் தப்பும் அடைக்கலமும், வெயிலுக்கு ஒதுங்கும் நிழலுமானீர்." ( ஏசாயா 25 : 4 )

பாலைவனங்கள், காட்டுப்பகுதிகளில் பயணம் செய்பவர்கள் தங்களை இயற்கை இடர்களான கொடிய வெப்பம், மழை, மற்றும் விலங்குகளிடமிருந்து தங்களைக் காத்துக்கொள்ள கூடாரங்கள் அமைத்துக்கொள்வதுண்டு. அல்லது சில குகைகளில் தஞ்சம் புகுவதுண்டு.  இந்தக் கூடாரங்கள் மற்றும் குகைகள் பலவிதங்களில் அந்த மனிதர்களுக்குப் பாதுகாப்பைத் தருகின்றன. தாவீது இராஜா தனது வாழ்வில் பல இக்கட்டான வேளைகளில் குகைகளில்தான் தஞ்சம் புகுந்தார். 

நாம் ஒருவேளை இன்று வானாந்தரங்களிலும் பாலைவனங்களிலும் பயணம் செய்யாமல் இருக்கலாம். ஆனால், இந்த உலகப்பயணம் நமக்கு இப்படியான வானாந்தரமும் பாலைவனமுமாகவே இருக்கின்றது. நமது வாழ்வில் கொடூரமானவர்களின் சீறல் போலவும், மதிலை மோதியடிக்கிற பெருவெள்ளத்தைப்போலவும் பல்வேறு பிரச்சனைகளும் இன்னல்களும் மனிதர்களாலும் அந்தகார சக்திகளாலும் ஏற்படுகின்றன. 

இப்படிப்பட்ட கொடுமையான வாழ்க்கைச் சூழலை அனுபவித்தவர்தான் தாவீது. அத்தகையைச் சூழ்நிலைகளில் கர்த்தரே அவரோடு இருந்து அவரைக் காப்பாற்றினார். அந்த அனுபத்தில் அவர் கூறுகின்றார், "சிறுமைப்பட்டவனுக்குக் கர்த்தர் அடைக்கலமானவர்; நெருக்கப்படுகிற காலங்களில் அவரே தஞ்சமானவர்" ( சங்கீதம் 9 : 9 ) என்று. 

இப்படி வாழ்க்கையில் கொடுமைகளைச் சந்தித்த இன்னொருவர்  எரேமியா தீர்க்கத்தரிசி. எனவேதான் அவரும், "நீர் எனக்குப் பயங்கரமாயிராதேயும்; தீங்குநாளில் நீரே என் அடைக்கலம்" ( எரேமியா 17 : 17 ) என்று வேண்டுதல் செய்கின்றார். 

பெருவெள்ளம் சீறியடிப்பதை நாம் கடத்த சுனாமி சமயத்தில் பார்த்தோம். வலிமையானவை என்று கருதப்பட்ட பல்வேறு பெரிய பெரிய கட்டிடங்களும், பாலங்களும் வெள்ளத்தால் அடித்துச் செல்லப்பட்டன. ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, தப்பவே முடியாது எனும் இக்கட்டு வாழ்க்கையில் ஏற்படும்போது;  சத்துரு நமது வாழ்வைக் குறிவைத்துத் தாக்கும்போது, நமக்குக் கர்த்தர் மட்டுமே அடைக்கலமாக இருக்கமுடியும். 

அவரே, ஏழைக்குப் பெலனும், நெருக்கப்படுகிற எளியவனுக்குத் திடனும், பெருவெள்ளத்துக்குத் தப்பும் அடைக்கலமும், வெயிலுக்கு ஒதுங்கும் நிழலுமாக இருக்கின்றார். சில இக்கட்டான வேளைகளில் நமது சுய பலமோ நமக்குத் தெரிந்த அதிகார பலமுடையவர்களின் உதவியோ நம்மைக் காப்பாற்ற முடியாது. கர்த்தர் மட்டுமே நம்மைக் காப்பாற்றி கரைசேர்க்க முடியும். 

ஒரு வார்த்தையால் புயலையும் பொங்கி எழுந்த கடல் அலைகளையும் அடக்கியவர் நம் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. அவரைப் பற்றிக்கொள்ளும்போது நமது வாழ்க்கையிலும் அவர் இத்தகைய அதிசயங்களைச்  செய்ய முடியும். அவரையே பற்றிக்கொள்வோம். அவரே, நமது பெலனும், நெருக்கப்படுகிற சமயங்களில் நமது திடனும், பெருவெள்ளத்துக்குத் தப்பும் அடைக்கலமும், வெயிலுக்கு ஒதுங்கும் நிழலுமாக இருக்கின்றார்.

AATHAVAN MEDITATION

"For You have been a defence for the helpless, A defence for the needy in his distress, A refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat; For the breath of the ruthless is like a storm against a wall." — Isaiah 25:4 (NASB)

Those who travel through deserts and wilderness areas often set up tents or take refuge in caves to protect themselves from natural hazards such as extreme heat, rain, and wild animals. These tents and caves provide protection for people in various ways. King David sought refuge in caves during many critical moments of his life.

We may not be traveling through literal deserts and wildernesses today, but our journey through this world often resembles such a wilderness and desert. In our lives, various problems, troubles, and dark forces—originating from people and spiritual wickedness—rise up against us like the fury of the ruthless and a flood beating against a wall.

David was someone who experienced such harsh life circumstances. Yet, in all those situations, the Lord was with him and delivered him. Reflecting on that experience, he declares:

"The Lord also will be a stronghold for the oppressed, A stronghold in times of trouble;" — Psalm 9:9 (NASB)

Another person who faced cruelty in life was the prophet, Jeremiah. That is why he too prayed:

"Do not be a terror to me; You are my refuge in the day of disaster." — Jeremiah 17:17 (NASB)

We witnessed how a raging flood can strike during the times of tsunamis. Various massive buildings and bridges, once thought to be indestructible, were swept away by the waters. Yes, beloved ones, when a hopeless crisis arises in life, and when the enemy targets and attacks our lives, the Lord alone can be our refuge.

He is the strength of the helpless, the strength of the needy in distress, a refuge from the flood, and a shade from the heat. In certain critical moments, neither our own strength nor the help of influential people we know can save us. The Lord alone can deliver us and bring us safely to shore.

Our Lord Jesus Christ is the One who calmed the storm and the raging waves of the sea with a single word. When we hold fast to Him, He can perform similar miracles in our lives as well. Let us hold firmly to Him. He is indeed our strength, our stronghold in times of trouble, our refuge from the flood, and our shade from the heat.
