தியானம் - 2039
உலகின் மிகப்பெரிய வனாந்தரமாக அமேசான் காடுகள் உள்ளன. இந்தக் காட்டுப்பகுதிகளில் உள்ள சில இடங்களில் இன்றுவரை மனிதர்கள் யாரும் சென்றது கிடையாது. காரணம், மனிதர்கள் வாழ்வதற்குத் தகுதியற்ற இங்குள்ள கடினமான சூழ்நிலை. ஆம், வனாந்தரம் பல்வேறு இடர்கள் சூழ்ந்த இடம். பொதுவாக, இருளும் அந்தகாரமும்தான் வனாந்தர பகுதிகளில் நிலைத்திருக்கும். மட்டுமல்ல, பல்வேறு கொடிய விலங்குகளின் வாழ்விடமாக வானாந்தரம் இருக்கின்றது. பொதுவாக, மனிதர்கள் பாதுகாப்பாக நல்லமுறையில் வாழமுடியாத இடங்களே இவை.
அன்பானவர்களே, இன்று மனிதர்கள் பலரது குடும்ப வாழ்க்கையும் தனிப்பட்ட வாழ்க்கையும் இதுபோல வனாந்தரமாகவே இருப்பதை நாம் உலகத்தில் பார்க்கலாம். வெளிப்பார்வைக்கு பகட்டாக நல்ல நிலையில் இருப்பதுபோலத் தெரிந்தாலும் இருள், அந்தகாரம், பாதுகாப்பற்றநிலை இவையே பலரது வாழ்க்கையாக இருக்கின்றது. இத்தகைய சூழல் மாறிட, "கர்த்தருக்கு வழியைச் செவ்வைப்பண்ணுங்கள்" என்று அறைகூவல் விடுக்கின்றார் யோவான்.
நமது இருளான வனாந்தர வாழ்க்கை மாறவேண்டுமானால் நமது வாழ்வில் ஒளியாகிய ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து வரவேண்டியது அவசியம். அவர் நமக்குள் வருவதற்கு நமது வழிகளை நாம் மாற்றவேண்டியது அவசியமாய் இருக்கின்றது.
இந்த உலகத்தில் மனிதர்கள் நாம்கூட அசுத்தமான இடங்களில் தங்கிட விரும்புவதில்லை. நம்மைச் சிலர் எவ்வளவுதான் அன்புடன் உபசரித்தாலும், தங்களது வீட்டில் சில நாட்கள் தங்குமாறு நம்மை வற்புறுத்தினாலும் அவர்களது வீடுகளுக்குள் நாம் சென்று பார்த்தால் அங்குள்ள அசுத்தமான சூழ்நிலை நம்மை அங்குத் தங்கிட அனுமதிக்காது. ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இதுபோலவே தேவன் அசுத்தமான உள்ளங்களில் குடிவருவதில்லை. அவர் நமக்குள் வரவேண்டுமானால் முதலில் நமது உள்ளங்கள் தூய்மையடையவேண்டியது அவசியம்.
மேலும், நாம் தூய்மையான பாலை அசுத்தமான பாத்திரங்களில் சேமிப்பதில்லை. அப்படிச் சேமித்தால் சுத்தமான பால் கெட்டுப்போகும். எனவே, முதலில் பாத்திரத்தைத் தூய்மைப்படுத்தவேண்டியது அவசியம்.
இன்றைய தியான வசனம் யோவான் தன்னைக்குறித்து கூறும் சாட்சி வார்த்தைகளாகும். தன்னைப்பற்றி ஏசாயா தீர்க்கதரிசனமாகக் கூறியுள்ளபடி, "கர்த்தருக்கு வழியைச் செவ்வைப்பண்ணுங்கள் என்று நான் வனாந்தரத்திலே கூப்பிடுகிறவனுடைய சத்தமாயிருக்கிறேன்" என்கிறார் அவர். ஆம், உங்கள் வழிகளை செம்மைபண்ணுங்கள் அப்போது நான் உங்களுக்குள் வருவேன் என்று யோவான் மூலம் இன்று கூறுகின்றார் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்.
கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்கு மனப்பூர்வமாக நம்மை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து நமது பாவங்களை அறிக்கையிட்டு மன்னிப்பை வேண்டும்போது நாம் தூய்மையாகின்றோம். ஆம், அப்போது யோவான் கூறியதுபோல, கர்த்தருக்கு வழியைச் செவ்வைப்பண்ணுகிறவர்கள் ஆவோம். அப்போது அவர் நமக்குள் வருவார். அவர் நமக்குள் வரும்போது மட்டுமே நமது குடும்ப வாழ்க்கையிலும் தனிப்பட்ட வாழ்க்கையிலும் நாம் மாற்றத்தைக் காணமுடியும். அப்போது வனாந்தர இருள், அந்தகாரம், பாதுகாப்பற்றநிலை இவை மாறி நமது வாழ்வில் வசந்தம் வருவதைக் காணலாம்.
"அவர் ஒளியிலிருக்கிறதுபோல நாமும் ஒளியிலே நடந்தால் ஒருவரோடொருவர் ஐக்கியப்பட்டிருப்போம்; அவருடைய குமாரனாகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தம் சகல பாவங்களையும் நீக்கி, நம்மைச் சுத்திகரிக்கும்." ( 1 யோவான் 1 : 7 )

"He said, 'I am a voice of one crying in the wilderness, "Make straight the way of the Lord," as Isaiah the prophet said.'" (John 1:23, NASB)
The Amazon rainforest stands as the largest wilderness in the world. Even today, humans have never set foot in certain parts of these dense jungle regions. The reason for this is the harsh and inhospitable environment. Indeed, the wilderness is a place surrounded by various dangers. Darkness and gloom generally dominate these wilderness areas, and they serve as habitats for many ferocious wild animals. In short, these are places where human beings cannot live safely or comfortably.
Dearly beloved, today we observe that the family and personal lives of many people in this world resemble such a wilderness. Even if everything appears prosperous and fine on the outside, darkness, spiritual blindness, and insecurity define their actual lives. To transform such a situation, John issues the clarion call: "Make straight the way of the Lord."
If our dark, wilderness-like lives are to change, the Lord Jesus Christ—the Light—must enter our lives. For Him to enter into us, it is essential that we reform and straighten our ways.
Even as human beings in this world, we do not wish to stay in filthy places. No matter how warmly someone welcomes us or insists that we stay in their home for a few days, if we see an unclean environment inside, we will not feel comfortable staying there. Yes, dearly beloved, in the same way, God does not dwell in unclean hearts. If He is to take up residence within us, our hearts must first be cleansed.
Furthermore, we do not pour clean milk into an unclean vessel. If we do, the pure milk will be spoiled. Therefore, it is necessary to clean the vessel first.
Today's meditation verse is the testimony John gave concerning himself. Fulfilling what the prophet Isaiah had foretold about him, he says, "I am a voice of one crying in the wilderness, 'Make straight the way of the Lord.'" Yes, through John, the Lord God says to us today: "Make your ways straight, and I will come into you."
When we sincerely surrender ourselves to Christ Jesus, confess our sins, and seek His forgiveness, we are cleansed and made pure. Then, as John declared, we become those who make straight the way for the Lord, and He comes to dwell within us. Only when He enters our lives can we experience true transformation in our family and personal lives. Then, the wilderness of darkness, obscurity, and insecurity will pass away, and a vibrant new spring will blossom in our lives.
"but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin." (1 John 1:7, NASB)
