நோவாவும் லோத்தும் / NOVA AND LOT

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,066              டிசம்பர் 29, 2023 வெள்ளிக்கிழமை 

"நோவாவின் நாட்களில் நடந்ததுபோல மனுஷகுமாரனுடைய நாட்களிலும் நடக்கும். " ( லுூக்கா 17 : 26 )

இயேசு கிறிஸ்து தனது இரண்டாம் வருகையினைக் குறித்துக் கூறும்போது இதனைச் சொல்கின்றார். அதனையே அவர், "மனுஷகுமாரனுடைய நாட்கள்" என்று குறிப்பிடுகின்றார்.  நோவாவின் நாட்களில் நடந்தது என்ன? அது பேரழிவு. உலகின் அனைத்து உயிர்களும் ஒட்டுமொத்தமாக அழிக்கப்பட்ட  பேரழிவு. அதுபோன்ற அழிவுகள் வரும் என்கிறார் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. 

நோவாவின் நாட்களில் பூமியில் அக்கிரமம் பெருகி இருந்தது. அதனால் பூமியில் தான் உருவாக்கிய மக்களை அழிக்கத்  தேவன் சித்தம் கொண்டார். ஆனால் தேவனுக்குமுன் உத்தமனாய் நடந்த நோவாவுக்கு கடவுளின் கண்ணில் தயவு கிடைத்தது. எனவே உலகினைத் தான் அழிக்கும்போது அவனையும் அவன் குடும்பத்தையும் காப்பாற்றிட மரத்தால் ஒரு பேழை செய்யுமாறு கூறுகின்றார். அதன்படி பேழையைச் செய்து நோவாவும் அவரது குடும்பத்தினரும் காப்பாற்றப்பட்டனர். 

ஆனால் நடக்கப்போவது எதுவும் தெரியாத மக்கள் இயல்பாக நடப்பதுபோல உண்டு குடித்து பெண்கொண்டு வாழ்ந்தார்கள்.  எல்லோருமே அழிந்துபோயினர். வெள்ளம் வந்தபோது அனைவருமே அழிந்துபோயினர். "நோவா பேழைக்குள் பிரவேசித்த நாள்வரைக்கும் ஜனங்கள் புசித்துக் குடித்தார்கள், பெண்கொண்டு கொடுத்தார்கள்; ஜலப்பிரளயம் வந்து எல்லாரையும் அழித்துப்போட்டது." ( லுூக்கா 17 : 27 )

நோவாவின் நாட்களைப்போலவே இன்றும் மக்கள் வாழ்கின்றனர். அன்பில்லாத மனிதர்கள், கொலைவெறிகள், கற்பழிப்புகள், களவு, காமவெறி போன்ற அவலட்சண வாழ்க்கையில் மக்கள் மூழ்கி இருப்பது தினசரி செய்தித் தாள்களை படித்தாலே புரியும். 

அன்று நோவா பேழை செய்யும்போது அதனைப் பார்த்தவர்கள் நோவா எச்சரிப்புச் செய்து கூறியதை நம்பாமல் அவரைக்  கேலி செய்திருக்கலாம். அவர்கள் அவர் கூறியதை நம்பவுமில்லை மனம் திரும்பவுமில்லை. புசித்துக் குடித்தார்கள், பெண்கொண்டு கொடுத்தார்கள், இயல்பான தங்கள் வாழ்வைத் தொடர்ந்தார்கள். 

இதுபோல, இயேசு கிறிஸ்து இன்னொரு உதாரணமும் சொல்கின்றார், "லோத்தினுடைய நாட்களில் நடந்ததுபோலவும் நடக்கும்; ஜனங்கள் புசித்தார்கள், குடித்தார்கள், கொண்டார்கள், விற்றார்கள், நட்டார்கள், கட்டினார்கள்." ( லுூக்கா 17 : 28 ) இங்கும் லோத்து தனது மருமக்களிடம் சென்று வரவிருக்கும் அழிவினைக் கூறி எச்சரித்தார். ஆனால் அவர்கள் அதனை கேலியாக எண்ணினர். ( ஆதியாகமம் 19 : 14 )

அன்பானவர்களே, இதே நிலைதான் இன்றும் தொடர்கின்றது. இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் வருகையினைப்பற்றி கூறினால் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்று தங்களைக் கூறிக்கொள்பவர்கள்கூட நம்புவதில்லை, நம்பினாலும் தங்கள் குணங்களை மாற்றி தேவனிடம் உண்மையாய் மனம்திரும்பி வருவதில்லை. 

நோவா காலத்திலும் லோத்துவின் காலத்திலும் வந்த அழிவைவிடப் பெரிய அழிவு கிறிஸ்துவின் வருகைக்குமுன் வருவது உறுதி என்று வேதாகமம் கூறுகின்றது. உலக ஆசீர்வாதங்களைப்பெறுவதற்கே முன்னுரிமைகொடுத்து நமது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கையினை நாம் இழந்துபோய்விடக்கூடாது.  கிறிஸ்துவின் இரண்டாம் வருகையினை முன்குறித்துக் கூறப்பட்டப் பலத்  தீர்க்கதரிசனங்கள்  நிறைவேறிவிட்டன. எனவே நாம் எச்சரிக்கையாக இருந்து மனம்திரும்பவேண்டியது அவசியம். கிறிஸ்துவின் வருகையினைப்பற்றி போதிக்கும் ஊழியர்களை கேலியாக எண்ணிடாமல்  இருப்போம். 

கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு நம்மை முற்றிலும் ஒப்படைப்பதே நாம் செய்யவேண்டடியது. பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரின் வழிநடத்தலுக்கு நம்மை ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பதே நாம் செய்யவேண்டியது.  ஒருநாள் பெருமழை வெள்ளத்தையே தாங்கமுடியாமல் நாடு தவிக்கின்றது. கிறிஸ்துவின் வருகையின் முன் நிகழவிருக்கும் அழிவுக்கு  எப்படித் தப்பிக்கமுடியும்?  

"கர்த்தருடைய உக்கிரத்தின் நாளிலே அவர்கள் வெள்ளியும் அவர்கள் பொன்னும் அவர்களைத் தப்புவிக்கமாட்டாது; அவருடைய எரிச்சலின் அக்கினியினால் தேசமெல்லாம் அழியும்; தேசத்தின் குடிகளையெல்லாம் சடிதியாய் நிர்மூலம்பண்ணுவார்." ( செப்பனியா 1 : 18 ) என எச்சரிக்கிறார்  தேவன்.

                   NOVA AND LOT

"And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of Man." (Luke 17:26)

Jesus Christ says this when he speaks about his second coming. That is what he refers to as "the days of the Son of Man." What happened in the days of Noah? It was a disaster. A cataclysm in which all life in the world was destroyed. Lord Jesus Christ says that such destructions will come.

In the days of Noah, wickedness abounded on earth. So, God decided to destroy the people he had created on earth. But Noah found favor in God's eyes when he walked uprightly before God. So, he asks him to make an ark out of wood to save him and his family when he destroys the world. Noah and his family were saved by making the ark.

But people who did not know anything about what was going to happen, ate and drank and lived with women as if it were normal. All perished. When the flood came, all perished. “They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.” ( Luke 17 : 27 )

People today live like in the days of Noah. People are drowning in a life of unloving people, murders, rapes, thefts, lasciviousness, etc. Just by reading the daily newspapers, you will understand.

Those who saw Noah building the ark that day might not have believed Noah's warning and would have mocked him. They did not believe what he said and did not repent. They ate and drank, and continued their normal lives.

Similarly, Jesus Christ also tells another example, “likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded” ( Luke 17 : 28 ) Here too Lot went to his daughter-in-law and warned of the coming destruction. But they thought it was a joke. (Genesis 19:14)

Beloved, the same situation continues today. When it comes to the second coming of Jesus Christ, even those who claim to be Christians do not believe, and even if they believe, they do not change their character and truly return to God.

The Bible says that a greater destruction than that which came in the days of Noah and Lot is sure to come before the coming of Christ. We should not lose our spiritual life by giving priority to receiving worldly blessings. Many prophecies foretelling the second coming of Christ have been fulfilled. So, we need to be cautious and repent. Let us not mock who preach about the coming of Christ.

All we have to do is give ourselves completely to Christ. All we have to do is surrender ourselves to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Our country is suffering because it cannot bear the one day rain flood. How can we escape the destruction that will occur before the coming of Christ? Let us live a repentant life and pray for our descendants.

"Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land." ( Zephaniah 1 : 18 ) thus warns the Lord.
