🦋 Meditation verse - சங்கீதம் 147 : 11 / Psalm 147:10-11

 💥"ஆதவன்" 🌳தியானம் - எண் 1939

"அவர் குதிரையின் பலத்தில் விருப்பமாயிரார்; வீரனுடைய கால்களில் பிரியப்படார். தமக்குப் பயந்து, தமது கிருபைக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறவர்கள்மேல் கர்த்தர் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறார்." ( சங்கீதம் 147 : 11 )

இந்த உலகத்தில் மனிதர்கள் தங்களது சுய பலத்தினால் பல அரிய செயல்களைச் செய்யமுடியும். இப்படி மனிதர்கள் தங்களது சுய பலத்தை நம்பி பல செயல்களைச் செய்து வெற்றிபெறுவதால் பலர்  கடவுளுக்கு உரிய மதிப்பினைக் கொடுக்காமல், "எல்லாம் என்னால் முடியும்" எனும் மனநிலையில் வாழ்கின்றனர். வெளியில் இப்படிக் கூறாவிட்டாலும் அவர்களது உள்ளான மனநிலை இப்படியே இருக்கின்றது. எனவே, தங்களைவிடத்  தகுதி குறைந்தவர்கள் என்று இவர்கள் எண்ணுபவர்களிடம் வேற்றுமை பாராட்டி மனதளவில் அவர்களை பலவேளைகளில் ஒதுக்குகின்றனர்.    

ஆனால் நாம் எவ்வளவுதான் பலமுள்ளவர்களாக, செல்வாக்குள்ளவர்களாக இருந்தாலும் கர்த்தரது கிருபை இல்லாமல் நம்மால் எதுவும் செய்யமுடியாது. இதனையே இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் நாம்,  "அவர் குதிரையின் பலத்தில் விருப்பமாயிரார்; வீரனுடைய கால்களில் பிரியப்படார்" என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். இந்த வசனத்தில் குதிரை, வீரனுடைய கால்கள் என்பன சுய பலத்தினைக் குறிக்கின்றன.  குதிரை வலிமையான ஒரு மிருகம். அதனைப்  பழங்காலத்தில் போருக்குப் பயன்படுத்தினார்கள். வலிமையான குதிரைப்படை,  இராணுவ வீரர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை இவை ஒரு அரசனின் பலத்துக்கு அடையாளம். ஆனால், வெற்றிபெற இவை மட்டுமே தகுதியல்ல. 

பார்வோனிடம் வலிமையான குதிரைப்படையும், தேர்களும் இராணுவ வீரர்களும் இருந்தனர். ஆனால் மோசே வழிநடத்திய இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களிடம் இவை எதுவும் இல்லை. அவர்கள் தேவனது கிருபையினை மட்டுமே நம்பி வழிநடந்தனர். இறுதியில் நடந்த சம்பவங்கள் நமக்குத் தெரியாதவையல்ல. ஆம், வலிமையான குதிரைப்படைகளும் வீரர்களும் செங்கடலில் அழிந்துபோயினர். ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுவதுபோல, தமக்குப் பயந்து, தமது கிருபைக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறவர்கள்மேல் கர்த்தர் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறார். அவர்களை உலகக் கேடுகளுக்குத்  தப்புவித்து நடத்துகின்றார்.

இந்த தியான வசனம் நமக்குத் தரும் பாடம் இதுதான்: நம்மிடம் எவ்வளவு உடல்பலம் இருந்தாலும், பதவி, பணம், அந்தஸ்து இவை இருந்தாலும் இவை அனைத்தும் பார்வோன் நம்பியிருந்த சுய பலம் போன்றதே. இவற்றை நாம் நம்பிக்கொண்டு உலகத்தில் வாழ்வோமானால் கர்த்தர் நம்மேல் பிரியமாக இருக்கமாட்டார். இக்கட்டான வேளைகளில் அவரை நோக்கி நாம் கூப்பிட்டாலும், "நீயே உனது பலத்தினால் சமாளித்துக்கொள்" என்று கூறி பேசாமல் இருந்துவிடுவார். 

ஆனால் நாம் நமது சுய பலத்தை நம்பாமல் தேவனையே சார்ந்து அவரிடம் அன்புகூர்ந்து வாழ்வோமானால் ஆயிரம் தலைமுறைக்கும் நமக்கு இரக்கம் காட்டுவேன் என்கின்றார். ஆம், "என்னிடத்தில் அன்புகூர்ந்து, என் கற்பனைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களுக்கோ ஆயிரம் தலைமுறைமட்டும் இரக்கம் செய்கிறவராய் இருக்கிறேன்" (யாத்திராகமம் 20 : 6 &  உபாகமம் 5 : 10 ) என்கின்றார் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர். 

அன்னை மரியாளும் தனது பாடலில், "அவருடைய இரக்கம் அவருக்குப் பயந்திருக்கிறவர்களுக்குத் தலைமுறை தலைமுறைக்குமுள்ளது. தம்முடைய புயத்தினாலே பராக்கிரமஞ்செய்தார்; இருதய சிந்தையில் அகந்தையுள்ளவர்களைச் சிதறடித்தார்." ( லுூக்கா 1 : 50, 51 ) என்று பாடுகின்றார். 

நம்மிடம் இருக்கும் திறமைகள், பணம், அதிகாரபலம் இவற்றை பெரிதாக எண்ணி இருதய சிந்தையில் அகந்தை உள்ளவர்களாக வாழ்வோமானால் தேவன் நம்மைச் சிதறடிப்பார். காரணம், நமது தேவன் குதிரையின் பலத்தில் விருப்பமாயிரார்; வீரனுடைய கால்களில் பிரியப்படார். தமக்குப் பயந்து, தமது கிருபைக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறவர்கள்மேல் மட்டுமே அவர் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறார்.

பயத்துடன் தேவனது கிருபையினைச் சார்ந்துகொள்வோம். அப்போது மட்டுமே நாமும் நமது சந்ததிகளும் தேவனது ஆசீர்வாதத்தினைப் பெற்றவர்களாக வாழமுடியும்.

💥 "AATHAVAN" Meditation - No. 1939

📆 May 30, 2026, Saturday

"He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He does not take pleasure in the legs of a man. The Lord favours those who fear Him, Those who wait for His lovingkindness." (Psalm 147:10-11)

In this world, human beings can accomplish many remarkable feats through their own personal strength. Because people successfully achieve things by relying on their self-reliance, many fail to give God the honour due to Him, living instead with the mindset of "I can do everything by myself." Even if they do not express this outwardly, it remains their inner disposition. Consequently, they often discriminate against and mentally marginalize those whom they consider less capable or inferior to themselves.

However, no matter how powerful or influential we may be, we can do nothing without the grace of the Lord. This is exactly what we read in today's meditation verse: "He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He does not take pleasure in the legs of a man." In this verse, the "horse" and the "legs of a man" represent self-reliance and human strength. The horse is a powerful animal, used in ancient times for warfare. A mighty cavalry and a vast number of foot soldiers were symbols of a king's strength. Yet, these alone do not guarantee victory.

Pharaoh possessed a powerful cavalry, chariots, and a massive army. On the other hand, the people of Israel led by Moses had none of these. They moved forward relying solely on the grace of God. The events that unfolded in the end are well known to us. Yes, the mighty cavalry and warriors perished in the Red Sea. Indeed, dear friends, just as today's meditation verse declares, the Lord favours those who fear Him and wait for His lovingkindness. He delivers them from the evils of this world and guides them.

The lesson this meditation verse teaches us is this: regardless of the physical strength, position, wealth, or status we may possess, all of it is akin to the self-reliance that Pharaoh trusted in. If we live in this world relying on these things, the Lord will not take pleasure in us. Even if we call out to Him in times of distress, He may remain silent, as if saying, "Manage it on your own with your own strength."

Furthermore, the Lord God says that He shows lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Him and keep His commandments (Exodus 20:6 & Deuteronomy 5:10).

Mother Mary also sings in her song:

"And His mercy is upon generation after generation toward those who fear Him. He has done mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who were proud in the thoughts of their heart." (Luke 1:50-51)

If we highly esteem our own talents, wealth, and power, and live with pride in the thoughts of our hearts, God will scatter us. For our God does not delight in the strength of the horse, nor does He take pleasure in the legs of a man. He favours only those who fear Him and wait for His lovingkindness.

Let us depend on God's grace with reverent fear. Only then can we and our descendants live as recipients of God's blessings.
