🦋 Meditation verse - எரேமியா 5 : 1 / Jeremiah 5:1

 "ஆதவன்" தியானம் - 1971

ஜூலை 01, புதன் 2026  

"நியாயஞ்செய்கிற மனுஷனைக் கண்டுபிடிப்பீர்களோ என்றும், சத்தியத்தைத் தேடுகிறவன் உண்டோ என்றும், எருசலேமின் தெருக்களிலே திரிந்துபார்த்து, விசாரித்து, அதின் வீதிகளிலே தேடுங்கள்; காண்பீர்களானால் அதற்கு மன்னிப்புத் தருவேன்." ( எரேமியா 5 : 1 )

நமது தேவன் பாவத்தை வெறுக்கின்றார், ஆனால் பாவிகளை நேசிக்கின்றார். பாவத்தினால் எவரும் அழிந்து பரலோக இன்பத்தை இழந்துவிடக்கூடாது என அவர் விரும்புகின்றார். எனவேதான்  எவ்வளவு பெரிய பாவியாக இருந்தாலும் ஒருவன் தனது பாவத்தை உணர்ந்து மனம் வருந்தி மன்னிப்பை வேண்டும்போது தனது கிருபையினால் மன்னித்து அவர்களுக்கு மீட்பளிக்கின்றார். 

இப்படி ஒரு நாட்டில் அல்லது ஊரில் தேவனுக்கேற்ப வாழும் மக்கள் இருப்பார்களானால் தேவன் அவர்களுக்காக அந்த மொத்த நாட்டிற்குமே தீங்கு செய்யாமல் இருக்கின்றார். இதனையே, "இப்படிச் செய்கின்ற மனிதன் யாராவது எருசலேமில்  இருக்கின்றார்களா என்று திரிந்துபார்த்து, விசாரித்து, அதின் வீதிகளிலே தேடுங்கள்; காண்பீர்களானால் அதற்கு மன்னிப்புத் தருவேன்" என்கின்றார் அவர்.

ஆபிரகாமின் காலத்தில் தேவன் லோத்து குடியிருந்த சோதோம் நகரத்தை அதன் அக்கிரமங்களுக்காக அழிக்க முடிவுசெய்தார். அப்போது அந்த மக்களுக்காக ஆபிரகாம் வேண்டுதல் செய்தார். அப்போது அவர், "ஆண்டவரே, ஒருவேளை அந்தப் பட்டணத்தில் 50 நீதிமான்கள் இருந்தால் அவர்களுக்காக அந்தத் தேசத்தை அழிக்காமல் காப்பாற்றுவீரோ?" என்று கேட்கின்றார். தேவன், "ஆம், அங்கு 50 நீதிமான்களை நான் கண்டால் அந்த நகரத்தை அழிக்கமாட்டேன் என்கின்றார்". ஆனால் அங்கு ஐம்பது நீதிமான்கள் இல்லை.

ஆபிரகாம் தேவனிடம்,  முன்பு தான் தேவனிடம் கேட்டக் கேள்வியை மாற்றி, நீதிமான்களின் எண்ணிக்கையினைப்  படிப்படியாகக் குறைத்து, ஐம்பதுக்குப்பதில் 45, 40, 30, 20, பேர்கள் இருந்தால்? என்று திரும்பத் திரும்பக் கேட்கின்றார். தேவன், "இருபது நீதிமான்களை நான் அங்கு கண்டால் அந்தத் தேசத்தை அழிக்கமாட்டேன்" என்கின்றார். இறுதியில் ஆபிரகாம்,  "ஆண்டவருக்குக் கோபம் வராதிருப்பதாக; நான் இன்னும் இந்த ஒருவிசைமாத்திரம் பேசுகிறேன்; பத்து நீதிமான்கள் அங்கே காணப்பட்டாலோ என்றான். அதற்கு அவர்: பத்து நீதிமான்கள்நிமித்தம் அதை அழிப்பதில்லை என்றார்." ( ஆதியாகமம் 18 : 32 ) என்று கூறினார் என வாசிக்கின்றோம். ஆனால் அங்கு பத்து நீதிமான்கள்கூட இல்லை. தேவன் அந்த நகரத்தை அழித்தார். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, "துன்மார்க்கன் தன் வழியையும், அக்கிரமக்காரன் தன் நினைவுகளையும் விட்டு, கர்த்தரிடத்தில் திரும்பக்கடவன்; அவர் அவன்மேல் மனதுருகுவார்; நம்முடைய தேவனிடத்திற்கே திரும்பக்கடவன்; அவர் மன்னிக்கிறதற்குத் தயை பெருத்திருக்கிறார்" ( ஏசாயா 55 : 7 ) என்கிறார் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர். 

இதற்கு உதாரணமாக நாம் யோனாவின் புத்தகத்தில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ள செய்தியினை உதாரணம் கூறலாம். நினிவேயின் பாவத்துக்காக தேவன் அந்த நகரத்தை அழிக்க முடிவுசெய்தார். ஆனால், யோனாவின் பிரசாங்கத்தைக் கேட்டு அந்த மக்கள் மனம் திரும்பியபோது தேவன் தனது முடிவினை மாற்றி நினிவேயை அழிக்காமல் பாதுகாத்தார். "வலதுகைக்கும் இடதுகைக்கும் வித்தியாசம் அறியாத இலட்சத்து இருபதினாயிரம்பேருக்கு அதிகமான மனுஷரும் அநேக மிருகஜீவன்களும் இருக்கிற மகா நகரமாகிய நினிவேக்காக நான் பரிதபியாமலிருப்பேனோ என்றார்" ( யோனா 4 : 11 ) தேவன். ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, உலகத்தின் உயிர்கள்மேல் தேவன் அன்புள்ளவராக இருக்கின்றார். 

இன்றைய தியானம் மூலம் நாம் அறியும் செய்தி, நாம் நீதியுள்ள வாழ்க்கை வாழும்போது அது நமக்கு மட்டுமல்ல நாம் வாழும் நாட்டிற்கும், அங்கு வாழும் அனைத்து உயிரினங்களுக்கும் பாதுகாப்பு உண்டு என்பதுதான். ஆம், தேசத்தின் தெருக்களிலே திரிந்துபார்த்து, விசாரித்து, அதின் வீதிகளிலே தேடுங்கள்; நியாயஞ்செய்கிற மனுஷனைக் கண்டுபிடிப்பீர்களானால் அதற்கு மன்னிப்புத் தருவேன் என்கின்றார் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர். நம்மை அத்தகைய மனிதர்களாக மாற்றுவோம். நமதுமூலம் தேசம் பாதுகாப்படையட்டும்.

"AATHAVAN" Meditation - 1971

“Roam to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and look now and take note. And seek in her open squares, if you can find a man, if there is one who does justice, who seeks truth, then I will pardon her.” (Jeremiah 5:1)

Our God hates sin, but He loves sinners. He desires that no one should perish due to sin and lose the joy of heaven. That is why, no matter how great a sinner a person may be, when they realize their sin, repent, and seek forgiveness, He forgives them through His grace and grants them salvation.

If there are people living according to God's will in a country or a town, God refrains from bringing harm upon that entire nation for their sake. This is exactly why He says, “Roam to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and look now and take note. And seek in her open squares, if you can find a man, if there is one who does justice... then I will pardon her.”

In the days of Abraham, God decided to destroy the city of Sodom, where Lot lived, because of its wickedness. At that time, Abraham interceded for those people. He asked, “Lord, suppose there are fifty righteous within the city; will You indeed sweep it away and not spare the place for the sake of the fifty righteous who are in it?” God replied, “If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare the whole place on their account.” But fifty righteous people were not found there.

Abraham continually approached God, adjusting his previous question and gradually reducing the number of the righteous. Instead of fifty, what if there are 45, 40, 30, or 20? God responded, “I will not destroy it on account of the twenty.” Finally, we read that Abraham said:

“Oh may the Lord not be angry, and I shall speak only this once; suppose ten are found there?” And He said, “I will not destroy it on account of the ten.” (Genesis 18:32)

But not even ten righteous people were found there. God destroyed the city.

Yes, dearly beloved, the Lord God says:

“Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.” (Isaiah 55:7)

As an example of this, we can look at the message in the Book of Jonah. Because of Nineveh's sin, God decided to destroy that city. However, when the people repented upon hearing Jonah's preaching, God relented from His decision and spared Nineveh from destruction. God said:

“Should I not have compassion on Nineveh, the great city, in which there are more than 120,000 persons who do not know the difference between their right and left hand, as well as many animals?” (Jonah 4:11)

Yes, dearly beloved, God is deeply loving toward all living beings in the world.

The message we receive through today's meditation is that when we live a righteous life, it brings protection not only to us but also to the nation we live in and all the living creatures within it. Yes, the Lord God says: “Roam to and fro through the streets of the nation, take note, and seek in her open squares; if you find a man who does justice, I will pardon her.” Let us transform ourselves into such people. Let the nation be protected through us.
