🦋 Meditation verse - உபாகமம் 11 : 16 / Deuteronomy 11:16

 "ஆதவன்" தியானம் - 1947

2026 ஜூன் 07,  ஞாயிறு   

"உங்கள் இருதயம் வஞ்சிக்கப்படாமலும், நீங்கள் வழிவிலகி அந்நிய தேவர்களைச் சேவித்து அவர்களை நமஸ்கரியாமலும் இருக்கும்படி எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்." ( உபாகமம் 11 : 16 )

வஞ்சித்தல் என்பது ஒருவருக்கு நம்பகரமானவர்போல கூடவே இருந்து  அவரை ஏமாற்றுதலைக் குறிக்கின்றது. பல குடும்பங்களில் இத்தகைய வஞ்சகங்கள் நடைபெறுவதுண்டு. நண்பர்கள்போல பழகியவர்களும் இப்படி நம்பியவர்களை ஏமாற்றுவதுண்டு. பலர் மற்றவர்களது சொத்துக்களை இப்படி வஞ்சித்து அபகரிப்பதுமுண்டு. வஞ்சித்தல் என்பது மிகக்கடுமையான பாதிப்பை ஏற்படுத்தும். மட்டுமல்ல, இது மிகப்பெரிய துரோகமாகும். "நான் அவனை எவ்வளவோ நம்பியிருந்தேன், இப்படி என்னை வஞ்சித்து மோசம்போக்கிவிட்டான்" என்று ஏமாற்றப்பட்டவர்கள்  பின்னர் புலம்புவதுண்டு. 

இன்றைய தியான வசனம் இப்படி நமது இருதயம் வஞ்சிக்கப்பட்டு தேவனைவிட்டு வழிவிலகிச்  சென்றுவிடக்கூடாது என்று நம்மை எச்சரிக்கின்றது. ஆதியில் ஆதாம் ஏவாள் இப்படியே சாத்தானால் வஞ்சிக்கப்பட்டு தேவ மகிமையினை இழந்தனர்.  காரணம், அவர்கள் தேவனது வார்தையைவிட சர்பமாகிய சாத்தான் கூறிய வஞ்சக வார்த்தைகளை நம்பியதுதான். இப்படி ஆதிப்பெற்றோர் வஞ்சிக்கப்பட்டுப் போனதுபோல நாமும் அந்நிய தேவர்களைச் சேவித்து  வழிவிலகிப் போகாமலிருக்க இன்றைய தியான வசனம் நம்மை எச்சரிக்கின்றது. 

தேவன் கொடுத்த பத்துக்கட்டளைகளில் முதல் கட்டளையே. "உன்னை அடிமைத்தன வீடாகிய எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணின உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நானே. என்னையன்றி உனக்கு வேறே தேவர்கள் உண்டாயிருக்கவேண்டாம்." ( யாத்திராகமம் 20 : 2, 3 ) என்பதுதான். இந்தக் கட்டளைக்கு நாம் கீழ்ப்படியாமல் போகும்போது நாம் வஞ்சிக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டோம் என்று பொருள்.

தேவனை விட்டு நாம் வேறு எந்த உலகப்பொருளுக்கு முன்னுரிமை கொடுத்தாலும் அது அந்நிய தேவர்களைச் சேவிப்பதுதான்;  எந்தெந்த உலகப்பொருட்களுக்கு அதிக முக்கியத்துவம் கொடுக்கின்றோமோ அவை அனைத்துமே வேறு தேவர்கள்தான்; அவை அனைத்தும் விக்கிரக ஆராதனைதான். எனவேதான் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் பொருளாசையாகிய விக்கிரக ஆராதனை என்று கூறுகின்றார். "ஆகையால், விபசாரம், அசுத்தம், மோகம், துர்யிச்சை, விக்கிரகாராதனையான பொருளாசை ஆகிய இவைகளைப் பூமியில் உண்டுபண்ணுகிற உங்கள் அவயவங்களை அழித்துப்போடுங்கள்". ( கொலோசெயர் 3 : 5 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

நம் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து, "உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்தில் உன் முழு இருதயத்தோடும், உன் முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும், உன் முழு மனதோடும், உன் முழுப் பலத்தோடும் அன்புகூருவாயாக என்பதே பிரதான கற்பனை." ( மாற்கு 12 : 30 ) என்று கூறினார். இப்படி இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறியபடி நாம் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடம் அன்புகூர்வோமானால் நம்மை எளிதில் யாரும் வஞ்சிக்கமுடியாது. 

இன்று தேவனை விட்டு நமது மனத்தினைப் பிரித்து நம்மை வஞ்சிக்க வேற்று மதத்தினர்தான்  வரவேண்டுமென்று அவசியமில்லை. எப்படி நம்மோடு இருக்கும் குடும்ப உறவினர்களும் நண்பர்களும் சிலவேளைகளில் நம்மை வஞ்சிக்கின்றனரோ அதுபோல சாத்தான் நமக்குள்ளிருக்கும் கிறிஸ்தவ ஊழியர்களையே இதற்காகப் பயன்படுத்துகின்றான். ஆம், பொருளாசை, உலக ஆசீர்வாதம் இவைகளை மட்டுமே மேலானவையாகப் போதிக்கும் ஊழியக்காரர்களைப் பயன்படுத்தி கிறிஸ்தவர்களை வஞ்சிக்கின்றான்.   

தேவன் மூலம்  அடைந்துக்கொள்ளும் ஆவிக்குரிய ஆசீர்வாதங்களைப் புறம்பேத் தள்ளி, இத்தகைய ஆசீர்வாதப் போதகர்கள் போதிக்கும் உலக ஆசீர்வாதமே மேல் என இவர்களது போதனைகளை நம்பி இவர்களைப் பின்பற்றும்போது நாம் வஞ்சிக்கப்படுகின்றோம் என்று பொருள். முழு இருதயத்தோடும், முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும், முழு மனதோடும், முழுப் பலத்தோடும் தேவன்மேல் அன்புகூரும்போது மட்டுமே நாம் இவர்களது வஞ்சனைக்குத் தப்பிக்கமுடியும். 

ஆம், "உங்கள் இருதயம் வஞ்சிக்கப்படாமல்  இருக்கும்படி எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்" என்று எச்சரிக்கின்றார் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர். 

"அந்நியதேவனை நாடிப் பின்பற்றுகிறவர்களுக்கு வேதனைகள் பெருகும்; அவர்கள் செலுத்துகிற இரத்த பானபலிகளை நான் செலுத்தமாட்டேன், அவர்கள் நாமங்களை என் உதடுகளினால் உச்சரிக்கவுமாட்டேன்." ( சங்கீதம் 16 : 4 )

"AATHAVAN" Meditation - 1947

"Beware that your hearts are not deceived, and that you do not turn away and serve other gods and worship them." (Deuteronomy 11:16)

Deception refers to the act of staying close to someone acting like a trustworthy person, only to cheat them. This kind of deception happens in many families. People who mingle with us like friends also cheat those who trusted them in this manner. Many even deceive others to grab their properties. Deception causes severe emotional damage. Not only that, it is a massive betrayal. Those who are cheated often lament later, saying, "I trusted him so much, but he deceived me and ruined me like this."

Today’s meditation verse warns us so that our hearts are not deceived and we do not turn away from God. In the beginning, Adam and Eve were deceived by Satan in this exact way and lost the glory of God. The reason was that they believed the deceptive words spoken by Satan, the serpent, rather than the Word of God. Today's meditation verse warns us so that we do not turn away to serve other gods, just as our first parents were deceived.

The very first commandment among the Ten Commandments given by God is this:

"I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before Me." (Exodus 20:2-3)

When we fail to obey this commandment, it means we have been deceived.

If we turn away from God and give priority to any worldly thing, that is equivalent to serving foreign gods. Whatever worldly things we give excessive importance to, they all become other gods; it is all idolatry. That is why the Apostle Paul calls greediness "idolatry." We read:

"Therefore, consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry." (Colossians 3:5)

Our Lord Jesus Christ said:

"And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength." (Mark 12:30)

This is the primary commandment. If we love the Lord our God just as Jesus Christ stated, no one can easily deceive us.

Today, people of other religions do not necessarily have to come to separate our minds from God and deceive us. Just as family members and friends who are with us sometimes deceive us, Satan uses Christian ministers who are among us for this very purpose. Yes, he deceives Christians by using ministers who preach greed and worldly blessings as the supreme things.

When we cast aside the spiritual blessings obtained through God and believe the teachings of these prosperity preachers—thinking the worldly blessings they preach are superior—and follow them, it means we are being deceived. Only when we love God with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind, and with all our strength can we escape their deception.

Yes, the Lord God warns us: "Beware that your hearts are not deceived."

"The sorrows of those who have bartered for another god will be multiplied; I shall not pour out their drink offerings of blood, Nor shall I take their names upon my lips." (Psalm 16:4)
