🦋 Meditation verse - உபாகமம் 20 : 1 / Deuteronomy 20:1

"ஆதவன்" தியானம் - 1948

2026 ஜூன் 08,  திங்கள்    

"நீ உன் சத்துருக்களுக்கு எதிராக யுத்தஞ்செய்யப் புறப்பட்டுப்போகையில், குதிரைகளையும், இரதங்களையும், உன்னிலும் பெரிய கூட்டமாகிய ஜனங்களையும் கண்டால், அவர்களுக்குப் பயப்படாயாக; உன்னை எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணின உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னோடே இருக்கிறார்." ( உபாகமம் 20 : 1 )

இன்று இந்த உலகினில் நாம் யாரோடும் யுத்தம் செய்யப்போவதில்லை. ஆனால், இஸ்ரவேலரின் வாழ்க்கை போராட்டமும் யுத்தமும் நிறைந்த வாழ்க்கையாகவே இருந்தது. எனவே இந்த வசனம் அவர்களைத் திடப்படுத்தக் கூறப்பட்டத்  தேவ வார்த்தையாகும். 

ஆனால் ஆவிக்குரிய இஸ்ரவேலரான நமக்கு இன்று இந்த வசனம் நமது ஆவிக்குரியவாழ்க்கையில் நம்மைத் திடப்படுத்தும் வார்த்தைகளாகும். இந்த உலகத்தில் ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கை வாழும் நமக்குப் பல போராட்டங்கள் உண்டு. அந்த போராட்டங்களே இன்று நமக்கு யுத்தமாகும். இதனையே, "ஏனெனில், மாம்சத்தோடும் இரத்தத்தோடுமல்ல, துரைத்தனங்களோடும், அதிகாரங்களோடும், இப்பிரபஞ்சத்தின் அந்தகார லோகாதிபதிகளோடும், வானமண்டலங்களிலுள்ள பொல்லாத ஆவிகளின் சேனைகளோடும் நமக்குப் போராட்டம் உண்டு". (எபேசியர் 6:12) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

 

ஆம், நமது இன்றைய வாழ்க்கைப் இந்தப்போராட்டங்கள், அன்று இஸ்ரவேலர் எதிர்கொண்ட குதிரைகளையும், இரதங்களையும், பெரிய கூட்டமாகிய ஜனங்களையும் கொண்டதுபோல இருந்தாலும் அவர்களுக்குப் பயப்படாயாக என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.  காரணம், நம் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நம்மோடு கூட இருக்கிறார்.

இன்று பல்வேறு உபத்திரவங்களால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டு வாழும் அருமை சகோதரனே சகோதரியே, இன்றைய தியான வசனம் நமக்காகவே கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது என்று விசுவாசிப்போம். யோசுவா முறியடித்த இராஜாக்கள் மொத்தம் 31 பேர் (யோசுவா 12:24) ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, மாதத்தில் அதிகபட்சம் 31 நாட்கள் உண்டு. யோசுவா முப்பத்தியொரு ராஜாக்களை முறியடித்ததுபோல நாமும் 31 நாட்களிலும் வரும் நமக்கு எதிரான பிரச்சனைகளை முறியடிக்க முடியும். காரணம், நம் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நம்மோடு கூட இருக்கிறார். எனவே, பயப்படாயாக. 

அன்று இஸ்ரவேலரைத் திடப்படுத்தி அவர்களை விசுவாசத்தோடு பிரச்சனைகளை சந்திக்க வழிநடத்த முதலில் மோசேயும் பின்னர் யோசுவாவும் இருந்தனர். இன்றும் நாம் அதுபோல நமது விசுவாச வாழ்க்கை வாழ உதவிட தேவனுடைய ஆவியானவர் உண்டு. அவரது துணை மூலம் இந்தப் போராட்டங்களை நாம் வென்றெடுக்கமுடியும். இதனையே அப்போஸ்தலரான  பவுல் தனது சீடனாகிய தீமோத்தேயுக்கு அறிவுரையாகக் கூறினார்:-

"விசுவாசத்தின் நல்ல போராட்டத்தைப் போராடு, நித்தியஜீவனைப் பற்றிக்கொள்; அதற்காகவே நீ அழைக்கப்பட்டாய்; அநேக சாட்சிகளுக்கு முன்பாக நல்ல அறிக்கை பண்ணினவனுமாயிருக்கிறாய்." ( 1 தீமோத்தேயு 6 : 12 )

ஆம், நாமும் இப்படி விசுவாசத்தின் நல்ல போராட்டம் போராடுவோம். அப்போது அநேக சாட்சிகளுக்கு முன்பாக கிறிஸ்துவை அறிக்கை பண்ணுகிற நல்ல சாட்சிகளாக  வாழமுடியும்.

"AATHAVAN" Meditation - 1948

"When you go out to battle against your enemies and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt, is with you." (Deuteronomy 20:1)

In this modern world, we may not be heading out to engage in physical warfare with others. However, the lives of the Israelites were filled with constant struggle and battle. Therefore, this verse was a divine word spoken specifically to strengthen and embolden them.

For us, the Spiritual Israel, these words serve to fortify us in our spiritual journey today. As we lead a spiritual life in this world, we face many struggles. These very struggles are our "battles" today. As it is written:

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12)

Yes, even if our current life struggles seem as formidable as the horses, chariots, and massive armies faced by the Israelites of old, the command remains: "Do not be afraid of them." The reason is simple and profound: the Lord our God is with us.

My dear brother and sister, who may be suffering today under various tribulations, let us believe that today’s meditation verse is given specifically for us. The total number of kings defeated by Joshua was thirty-one (Joshua 12:24). It is noteworthy, beloved, that a month has a maximum of thirty-one days. Just as Joshua defeated thirty-one kings, we too can overcome the problems that rise against us every single day of the month. Because the Lord our God is with us, do not fear.

Back then, Moses and later Joshua were there to strengthen the Israelites and lead them to face their problems with faith. Today, we have the Holy Spirit of God to help us live our life of faith. Through His help, we can emerge victorious in these struggles. The Apostle Paul gave this same counsel to his disciple Timothy:

"Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses." (1 Timothy 6:12)

Indeed, let us also fight the good fight of faith. By doing so, we can live as good witnesses, confessing Christ before many.
