"ஆதவன்" தியானம் - 1968

"இயேசுவானவர் தேவனுடைய குமாரனென்று விசுவாசிக்கிறவனேயன்றி உலகத்தை ஜெயிக்கிறவன் யார்?" ( 1 யோவான் 5 : 5 )
உலகத்தை ஜெயித்தல் அல்லது உலகத்தை வெற்றிகொள்ளுதல் என்பது பல பெரிய மன்னர்களின் ஆசையாக இருந்தது. அவர்கள் உலகம் முழுவதையும் தங்களது கட்டுப்பாட்டுக்குள் கொண்டு வருவதன்மூலம் உலகத்தின் தலைவராக உருவாக விரும்பிச் செயல்பட்டனர். மாவீரன் அலெக்சாண்டர், ஜூலியஸ் சீசர், நெப்போலியன் போனபாட், அடால்ப் ஹிட்லர், ஜோசப் ஸ்டாலின் போன்றவர்கள் இதற்கு ஒருசில உதாரணங்கள். உலகை வெற்றிகொள்ளவேண்டும் எனும் இந்த மனிதர்களின் வெறியால் பல ஆயிரம் அப்பாவி மக்கள் கொல்லப்பட்டனர். ஆனாலும் தாங்கள் எண்ணியபடி இவர்களால் உலகத்தை வெற்றிகொள்ள முடியவில்லை. அனைவருமே அகால மரணமடைந்தார்கள்.
ஆனால், நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து தனது அன்பினால் மொத்த உலகத்தையே வெற்றிகொண்டார். இன்று இரண்டாயிரத்து இருபத்தாறு ஆண்டுகளைக் கடந்தும் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து மன்னராக பலகோடி உலக மக்களால் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளார். இந்த இயேசுவானவர் தேவனுடைய குமாரனென்று விசுவாசிக்கிறவனேயன்றி உலகத்தை ஜெயிக்கிறவன் யார் என்று வேதம் கேள்வி எழுப்புகின்றது. ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை விசுவாசிப்பவன் அவரைப்போல உலகத்தை வெற்றிகொள்ள முடியும்.
உலகத்தை வெற்றிகொள்வது என்பது அழிந்துபோன மேற்குறிப்பிட்ட சர்வாதிகாரிகள் எண்ணியதுபோல மக்கள் அனைவரையும் அடிமைப்படுத்துவதல்ல; மாறாக, அன்பினால் மக்களது உள்ளத்தை நம்வசப்படுத்துவது. இந்த உலகத்தில் நம்மை அடிமைப்படுத்தி வைத்துள்ள பாவத்தை மேற்கொள்வது. சாத்தானின் வல்லமையினை மேற்கொள்வது. உதாரணமாக, அன்னை தெரேசா அன்பினால் உலகத்தை ஜெயித்தவர். பல பரிசுத்தவான்கள் பாவத்தை வென்று வாழ்ந்துள்ளனர்; சாத்தானை வென்று அவனது பிடியிலிருந்து மக்களை விடுத்துள்ளனர்.
இத்தகைய உலகத்தை வெல்லும் அனுபவத்தையே வேதாகமம் நமக்கு மெய்யான வெற்றியாகக் கூறுகின்றது. இப்படி உலகத்தை வெல்லவேண்டுமானால் நாம் இயேசுவானவர் தேவனுடைய குமாரனென்று விசுவாசிக்கவேண்டியதும் அவருக்கு நம்மை முற்றிலும் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கவேண்டியதும் அவசியம்.
மேலும் உலகத்தை ஜெயித்திட நாம் முதலில் செய்யவேண்டியது மற்றவர்களை அழிக்கவேண்டியது அல்ல; மாறாக நம்மை அழிக்க, அல்லது இழக்கவேண்டியது அவசியமாய் இருக்கின்றது. இப்படித் தன்னை இழக்காமல் உலகத்தை ஆதாயப்படுத்துவது நமக்கு இலாபமல்ல, நஷ்டமே. எனவேதான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துக் கூறினார், "தன் ஜீவனை இரட்சிக்க விரும்புகிறவன் அதை இழந்துபோவான்; என்னிமித்தமாகத் தன் ஜீவனை இழந்துபோகிறவன் அதை இரட்சித்துக்கொள்ளுவான். மனுஷன் உலகமுழுவதையும் ஆதாயப்படுத்திக்கொண்டாலும், தன்னைத்தான் கெடுத்து நஷ்டப்படுத்தினால் அவனுக்கு லாபம் என்ன?" ( லுூக்கா 9 : 24, 25 )
மேலும், உலகத்தை ஜெயிக்கவேண்டுமானால் நமது பாவங்கள் கழுவப்பட்டு நாம் மறுபடி பிறக்கவேண்டும். இப்படி நாம் மறுபடி பிறக்கும்போது "தேவனால் பிறப்பதெல்லாம் உலகத்தை ஜெயிக்கும்; நம்முடைய விசுவாசமே உலகத்தை ஜெயிக்கிற ஜெயம்." ( 1 யோவான் 5 : 4 ) என்று கூறியுள்ளபடி தேவனால் மறுபடி பிறந்து அந்த விசுவாசத்தினால் நாம் உலகத்தை ஜெயிக்கமுடியும்.
இறுதியாக, இப்படி தேவன்மேல் கொள்ளும் விசுவாசத்தினால் மறுபடி பிறந்தவர்கள் மறுவுலகில் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்ஜியத்தையும் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளமுடியும். "ஒருவன் மறுபடியும் பிறவாவிட்டால் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தைக் காணமாட்டான் என்று மெய்யாகவே மெய்யாகவே உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்" ( யோவான் 3 : 3 ) இயேசு கிறிஸ்து.
ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இதுதான் கிறிஸ்தவம் காட்டும் உலகத்தை ஜெயித்தல். இதற்குப் பெரிய உடல் வலிமை தேவையில்லை. நாம் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின்மேல் முழுமையான விசுவாசம் கொண்டாலே போதும்.

"Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?" — 1 John 5:5
Conquering or overcoming the world was the desire of many great emperors. They operated with the ambition to become world leaders by bringing the entire globe under their control. Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Napoleon Bonaparte, Adolf Hitler, and Joseph Stalin are a few examples of this. Because of these men's obsession with conquering the world, hundreds of thousands of innocent people were killed. Yet, they could not conquer the world as they envisioned. All of them met untimely deaths.
However, our Lord Jesus Christ conquered the entire world through His love. Today, even after 2026 years, Jesus Christ is accepted as King by billions of people across the globe. Scripture raises the question: Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? Yes, dearly beloved, the one who believes in Jesus Christ can overcome the world just as He did.
Overcoming the world does not mean enslaving all people, as those fallen dictators believed. Rather, it means winning people's hearts through love. It means overcoming the sin that keeps us enslaved in this world. It means overcoming the power of Satan. For instance, Mother Teresa was someone who conquered the world through love. Many saints have lived overcoming sin; they have defeated Satan and delivered people from his grip.
The Bible presents this experience of overcoming the world as true victory. If we want to overcome the world in this manner, it is essential that we believe Jesus is the Son of God and surrender ourselves completely to Him.
Furthermore, to overcome the world, the first thing we must do is not destroy others, but rather be willing to deny or lose ourselves. Gaining the world without losing oneself in this way brings no profit, but only loss. That is why Jesus Christ said:
"For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it. For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits himself?" — Luke 9:24-25
Additionally, to overcome the world, our sins must be washed away, and we must be born again. When we are born again, we can overcome the world through that faith, just as it is written:
"For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith." — 1 John 5:4
Finally, those who are born again through this faith in God will also inherit the Kingdom of God in the world to come. Jesus Christ said:
"Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." — John 3:3
Yes, dearly beloved, this is the way to overcome the world that Christianity reveals. This does not require great physical strength. It is enough for us to have complete faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
