"ஆதவன்" தியானம் - 1972 ஜூலை 02, வியாழன் 2026
"பயப்படாதே, விசுவாசமுள்ளவனாயிரு" ( மாற்கு 5 : 36 )
"காலதாமதம் ஊழலை உருவாக்கும்" என்று சில அலுவலகங்களில் எழுதப்பட்டிருப்பதை நாம் கண்டிருக்கலாம். ஆம், மனிதர்களது காலதாமதம் ஊழலை உருவாக்கும்; தேவனின் காலதாமதமோ அதிசயங்களைக் காணச்செய்யும்.
இதற்கு உதாரணமான சம்பவங்கள் வேதாகமத்தில் பல உண்டு. அவைகளில் ஒன்றுதான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவிடம் வந்த யவீரு எனும் ஜெப ஆலயத் தலைவன் ஒருவனைக்குறித்து நற்செய்தியில் நாம் வாசிப்பது. "அப்பொழுது, ஜெபஆலயத்தலைவரில் ஒருவனாகிய யவீரு என்பவன் வந்து, அவரைக் கண்டவுடனே, அவர் பாதத்திலே விழுந்து: என் குமாரத்தி மரணஅவஸ்தைப்படுகிறாள், அவள் ஆரோக்கியம் அடையும்படிக்கு நீர் வந்து, அவள்மேல் உமது கைகளை வையும், அப்பொழுது பிழைப்பாள் என்று அவரை மிகவும் வேண்டிக்கொண்டான்" ( மாற்கு 5 : 22, 23 ) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.
சாகும் தருவாயில் இருக்கும் தனது மகளுக்காக இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவிடம் உதவிவேண்டி வந்த அந்தத் தகப்பனுக்கு எவ்வளவு மனவேதனை இருந்திருக்கும்!! ஆனால் அவனது வீட்டிற்குச் செல்ல இயேசு கிறிஸ்து முயன்றபோது அதற்குத் தடையாக ஒரு பெண் வருகின்றாள். அவள் இரத்தப்போக்கு நோயால் அவதிப்பட்டவள். அவள் இயேசுவின் ஆடையினைத் தொட்டால் நான் பிழைப்பேன் என்று மனதினில் எண்ணி அவ்வாறேத் தொட்டுச் சுகம் பெறுகின்றாள். இயேசு கிறிஸ்து அவளிடம் பேசிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றார். "அவர் இப்படிப் பேசிக்கொண்டிருக்கையில், ஜெபஆலயத்தலைவனுடைய வீட்டிலிருந்து சிலர் வந்து: உம்முடைய குமாரத்தி மரித்துப்போனாள், இனி ஏன் போதகரை வருத்தப்படுத்துகிறீர் என்றார்கள்." ( மாற்கு 5 : 35 )
அப்போது யவீரு என்ன எண்ணியிருப்பான்? அவன் ஒருவேளை அந்தப்பெண்ணை மனதினில் திட்டியிருக்கலாம். காரணம், இயேசு அந்தப் பெண்ணுக்காகத் தாமதிக்காமல் அவனது வீட்டிற்குச் சென்றிருந்தால் அவனது மகள் பிழைத்திருக்கலாம் என்று அவன் எண்ணியிருக்கலாம். இனி என்ன? எல்லாம் முடிந்துவிட்டதே. ஆனால், ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து அவனது மனவேதனையை அறிந்து அன்பாக அவனிடம் கூறினார், "பயப்படாதே, விசுவாசமுள்ளவனாயிரு." பின்னர் அவனது வீட்டிற்குச் சென்று மரித்துப்போன அவனது மகளை உயிருடன் எழுப்பினார்.
ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, மனிதர்களாகிய நாம்தான் காலத்தையும் நேரத்தைக்கும் சூழ்நிலைகளையும் கண்டு கலங்குகின்றோம். இவை அனைத்தையும் மாற்றவல்லவர்தான் தேவன். இதேபோலவே அவரது நண்பன் லாசர் நோயுற்றிருக்கும்போது இயேசு தாமதம் செய்தார். அவன் நோயுற்றச் செய்தியைக் கேட்டப்பின்னரும் தான் இருந்த இடத்திலேயே பின்னும் இரண்டு நாட்கள் தங்கினார் (யோவான் 11:6). பின்னர் புறப்பட்டுச் சென்று மரித்து நான்கு நாட்களுக்குப்பின் லாசரை உயிரோடு எழுப்பினார்.
இதனை வாசிக்கும் அன்பான சகோதர சகோதரிகளே, இன்று நீங்கள் இதுபோல ஏதாவது பிரச்சனை, துன்பங்கள், நோய்கள் இவற்றினால் வாடிக்கொண்டிருக்கலாம். எவ்வளவோ ஜெபித்தும் பலன் இல்லையே என்று எண்ணிக் கலங்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கலாம். ஒருவேளை தேவன் எனது ஜெபத்தைக் கேட்கவில்லையோ என எண்ணலாம். ஆனால், ஆண்டவர் இயேசு உங்களைப்பார்த்துக் கூறுகின்றார், "பயப்படாதே, விசுவாசமுள்ளவனாயிரு."
ஆம், நாம் விசுவாசத்துடன் தேவனது செயல்பாட்டிற்காகக் காத்திருப்பது நல்லது. தேவனது காலதாமதம் நமது விசுவாசத்தை வளர்க்க உதவுகின்றது; அவர்மேலுள்ள நமது பற்றுறுதியை அதிகரிக்கின்றது; அவரையே நாம் பற்றிக்கொண்டு வாழ உதவுகின்றது; எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் மேலாக மிகப்பெரிய அற்புதத்தை நமது வாழ்வில் கொண்டு வருகின்றது. ஆம், "நெடுங்காலமாய்க் காத்திருக்குதல் இருதயத்தை இளைக்கப்பண்ணும்; விரும்பினது வரும்போதோ ஜீவவிருட்சம்போல் இருக்கும்." ( நீதிமொழிகள் 13 : 12 )

"Do not be afraid, only believe." (Mark 5:36)
We might have seen it written in some offices that "Delay breeds corruption." Yes, human delay can cause corruption, but God’s delay allows us to witness miracles.
There are many examples of this in the Bible. One such incident recorded in the Gospels is about Jairus, a synagogue official who came to Jesus Christ. It is written: "One of the synagogue officials named Jairus came, and seeing Him, fell at His feet and implored Him earnestly, saying, 'My little daughter is at the point of death; please come and lay Your hands on her, so that she will get well and live.'" (Mark 5:22, 23)
How deep must the agony have been for that father who came to Jesus Christ seeking help for his dying daughter! However, as Jesus Christ set out toward his house, a woman came as an obstacle. She had been suffering from a haemorrhage. Thinking to herself that if she could just touch Jesus' garments she would get well, she did so and was healed. Then, Jesus Christ stood there talking to her. "While He was still speaking, they came from the house of the synagogue official, saying, 'Your daughter has died; why trouble the Teacher anymore?'" (Mark 5:35)
What would Jairus have thought at that moment? He might have blamed that woman in his heart. He might have thought that if Jesus had not delayed for her and had gone straight to his house, his daughter might have survived. What was left now? Everything was over. But the Lord Jesus Christ, knowing his deep sorrow, spoke to him with love: "Do not be afraid, only believe." He then went to his house and raised his deceased daughter back to life.
Yes, dearly beloved, it is we as humans who get troubled by looking at time, seasons, and circumstances. But God is the One who has the power to change all of these. Similarly, when His friend Lazarus was sick, Jesus delayed. Even after hearing that he was sick, He stayed two days longer in the place where He was (John 11:6). Then He departed, and four days after Lazarus had died, He raised him to life.
Dear brothers and sisters reading this today, you might be languishing like this under some problem, suffering, or sickness. You might be troubled, thinking that despite praying so much, there is no result. You might even think that God has not heard your prayer. But the Lord Jesus looks at you and says, "Do not be afraid, only believe."
Yes, it is good for us to wait faithfully for God’s timing and action. God's delay helps our faith grow; it increases our devotion to Him; it helps us hold onto Him in life; and above all, it brings a mighty miracle into our lives. Truly, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but desire fulfilled is a tree of life." (Proverbs 13:12)
