📖 ஆதவன் வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண் 1894

"அவர்கள் தங்கள் பட்டயத்தால் தேசத்தைக் கட்டிக்கொள்ளவில்லை; அவர்கள் புயமும் அவர்களை இரட்சிக்கவில்லை; நீர் அவர்கள்மேல் பிரியமாயிருந்தபடியால், உம்முடைய வலதுகரமும், உம்முடைய புயமும், உம்முடைய முகத்தின் பிரகாசமும் அவர்களை இரட்சித்தது." ( சங்கீதம் 44 : 3 )

நமது வாழ்வில் வெற்றி ஏற்படும்போது, நல்ல காரியம் நடக்கும்போது போது  நாம் தேவனை மறந்தவர்களாக, இது எனது பலத்தினால்தான் கிடைத்தது என்று எண்ணாமல், தேவனது கிருபையினால் தான் கிடைத்தது என்பதை உணர்த்தவர்களாக வாழவேண்டியது அவசியம். 

தேவனை வாழ்வில் அறியாத மனிதர்கள் செய்யும் செயல்கள் பல வெற்றியுள்ளதாக மாறிவிடுவதை நாம் பார்க்கலாம். வெற்றியுள்ள தொழில் செய்பவர்கள் எல்லோரும் தேவனை அறிந்தவர்களோ, தேவனை கனம் செய்பவர்களோ அல்ல.  அவர்கள் தங்களது  திறமை, விடா முயற்சி, கடினமான உழைப்பினால் சாதனைகள் புரிகின்றனர். ஆனால், தேவன் தெரிந்துகொண்ட தேவ பிள்ளைகள் வாழ்வில் அப்படியல்ல. தேவனது சித்தமும் அவர்களது செயல்பாடுகளும் ஒன்றுபோல இருந்தால் மட்டுமே அவர்கள் வாழ்வில் வெற்றிபெற முடியும்.

இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் பெரிய யுத்தப்பயிற்சி பெற்றவர்கள் அல்ல. அவர்களிடம் போரிடக்கூடிய கருவிகளும் மற்ற எதிரிகளிடம் இருந்ததைவிடக் குறைவாகவே இருந்தன. கானான் நாட்டினை சுதந்தரிக்குமுன் அவர்கள் பல இராஜாக்களுடன் போரிடவேண்டியிருந்தது. ஆனாலும், பல போரிலும் அவர்கள் வெற்றிபெற்றனர். யோசுவாவும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்கு முறியடித்த இராஜாக்களின் எண்ணிக்கை முப்பத்தியொன்று என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது (யோசுவா 12:24). இந்த இராஜாக்களின் பெயர் பட்டியலை யோசுவா 12:9 - 24 வரையுள்ள வசனங்களில் நாம் வாசித்து அறியலாம்.  

இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது, இப்படி இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் பெற்ற வெற்றிக்கு அவர்களது உடல் பலமும் ஆயுத பலமும் காரணமல்ல, என்று. ஆம், அவர்கள் தங்களது பட்டயத்தால் தேசத்தைக் கட்டிக்கொள்ளவில்லை; அவர்கள் புயமும் அவர்களை இரட்சிக்கவில்லை; மாறாக, கர்த்தர்  அவர்கள்மேல் பிரியமாயிருந்தபடியால், அவரது வலதுகரமும், புயமும், அவருடைய முகத்தின் பிரகாசமும் அவர்களை இரட்சித்தது. 

இதேபோன்ற அறிவுரையினை மோசே இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்குக் கூறுவதையும் நாம் பார்க்கலாம். இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களிடம் அவர் கூறுகின்றார், இன்று தாழ்நிலையில் இருக்கும் நீ பிற்காலத்தில் உயர்வடையும்போது,   "என் சாமர்த்தியமும் என் கைப்பெலனும் இந்த ஐசுவரியத்தை எனக்குச் சம்பாதித்தது என்று நீ உன் இருதயத்தில் சொல்லிக்கொள்ளாமலும் இருக்க எச்சரிக்கையாயிருந்து, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நினைப்பாயாக; அவரே உன் பிதாக்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்டுக்கொடுத்த தம்முடைய உடன்படிக்கையை உறுதிப்படுத்தும்படி, இந்நாளில் உனக்கு உண்டாயிருக்கிறதுபோல, ஐசுவரியத்தைச் சம்பாதிக்கிறதற்கான பெலனை உனக்குக் கொடுக்கிறவர்." ( உபாகமம் 8 : 17, 18 )

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, தங்களது சுய பலத்தை மட்டுமே நம்பி வாழும் மக்களுக்கு இந்த வசனம் உணர்வூட்டும் வசனமாகவும் ஒரு அறிவுரையாகவும் உள்ளது. நாம் இதனை கருத்தில் கொள்ளவேண்டியது அவசியம். தேவன் நினைத்தால் ஒரே நொடியில் நம்மைத் தாழ்த்திடமுடியும். எனவே அவருக்கு அஞ்சிவாழவேண்டியது அவசியம். என் சாமர்த்தியமும் என் கைப்பெலனும் இந்த ஐசுவரியத்தை எனக்குச் சம்பாதித்தது என்று நீ உன் இருதயத்தில் சொல்லிக்கொள்ளாமலும் இருக்க எச்சரிக்கையாயிருந்து, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நினைப்பாயாக என்று மோசே கூறிய அறிவுரை நமக்கும் சேர்த்துத்தான்.

நம்மிடம் அதிகமான திறமைகள் இருக்கலாம், உடல் பலம் இருக்கலாம், செல்வமும், சமூகத்தின் பெரிய மனிதர்களது தயவும்  பல அரசியல் தலைவர்களது உதவியும் இருக்கலாம். ஆனால் அவை மட்டுமே நமது வெற்றி வாழ்க்கைக்கு அடிப்படையல்ல என்பதனை உணர்ந்தவர்களாக நாம் வாழவேண்டியது அவசியம். ஆம், நமது வெற்றிக்கு எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் மேலாக, கர்த்தரது பிரியமும், அவரது கரமும் அவரது முகத்தின் பிரகாசமும் நமக்கு ஆதரவாக இருக்க வேண்டியது அவசியம்.  

"குதிரை யுத்தநாளுக்கு ஆயத்தமாக்கப்படும்; ஜெயமோ கர்த்தரால் வரும்." ( நீதிமொழிகள் 21 : 31 )

"For by their own sword they did not possess the land, and their own arm did not save them, but Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your presence, for You favoured them." (Psalm 44:3)

When success occurs in our lives or when good things happen, it is essential that we do not forget God or think that these achievements were gained solely through our own strength. Instead, we must live with the realization that everything was received through God's grace.

We often see people who do not know God achieving great success in their endeavours. Not everyone who runs a successful business knows or honours Him; many achieve their goals through talent, perseverance, and hard work. However, for the children of God, it is different. Success in their lives is possible only when God's will and their actions align.

The people of Israel were not highly trained in warfare, and their weaponry was often inferior to that of their enemies. Before inheriting the land of Canaan, they had to battle many kings, yet they emerged victorious in numerous conflicts. It is recorded that Joshua and the sons of Israel defeated thirty-one kings (Joshua 12:24). You can find the list of these kings in Joshua 12:9–24.

Today’s meditation verse reminds us that the physical strength or weaponry of the Israelites was not the reason for their victory. They did not gain the land by their sword, nor did their own strength save them. Rather, because the Lord favoured them, His right hand, His arm, and the light of His presence saved them.

We see Moses giving similar counsel to the people of Israel. He warned them that when they rose from their lowly state to a position of prosperity:

"Otherwise, you may say in your heart, ‘My power and the strength of my hand made me this wealth.’ But you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day." (Deuteronomy 8:17, 18)

Dearly beloved, for those who live trusting only in their own strength, these verses serve as both an awakening and a piece of vital advice. It is necessary for us to take this to heart. If God wills, He can humble us in a single moment. Therefore, it is essential to live in reverence of Him. Moses’ warning—not to say in our hearts that our own skill or strength earned this wealth—is meant for us as well.

We may possess great talents, physical strength, wealth, the favour of influential people, or the help of political leaders. However, we must live realizing that these alone are not the foundation of a successful life. Above all else, the Lord’s favour, His hand, and the light of His presence must be our support.

"The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but victory belongs to the Lord." (Proverbs 21:31)
