📖 ஆதவன் வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண் 1888

🔆 2026 ஏப்ரல் 09, வியாழன்       

"நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்தில் உன் முழு இருதயத்தோடும், உன் முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும், உன் முழுப் பலத்தோடும் அன்புக்கூருவாயாக." ( உபாகமம் 6 : 5 )

கர்த்தரிடம் நாம் எப்படி அன்பு செலுத்தவேண்டும் என்பதற்கு இன்றைய தியான வசனம் மூன்று காரியங்களைக் கூறுகின்றது. 

அதாவது, நாம் முழு இருதயத்தோடு, முழு ஆத்துமாவோடு, முழுப் பலத்தோடு கர்த்தரிடம் அன்பு செலுத்தவேண்டும் என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. குறிப்பிட்ட காரியங்கள் நிறைவேறிடவும், வாழ்க்கையில் தங்களது தேவைகள்  நிறைவேறிடமும் தேவனிடம் ஜெபிப்பவர்கள் காரியவாதிகள். அவர்களிடம் மேலே குறிப்பிட்டவிதத்தில் தேவன்மேல் அன்பு இருப்பதில்லை.

முழு இருதயம் என்பது,  நமது இருதயத்தில் அவரைத் தவிர வேறு எதற்கும் இடமில்லாத நிலைமை. முழு ஆத்துமா என்பதற்கு, அவரைத்தவிர வேறு எந்த தெய்வத்தையும் இடைநிலையாளர்களையும் தேடாமல் நமது ஆத்துமா முழுவதும் கர்த்தரையே சார்ந்திருப்பது. முழு பலம் என்பதற்கு வாழ்வில் எந்தவித  இக்கட்டு இடர்பாடுகள் வந்தாலும் மனம் தடுமாறாமல் அவரையே முற்றிலுமாக நம்புவது. 

நாம் ஏற்கெனவே பல தியானங்களில் தியானித்துள்ளபடி, தேவன்மேல் நாம் கொள்ளும் அன்புக்கு உண்மையான  காதலர்களின் அன்பு உவமையாகக் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. வேதாகமத்தில் உன்னதப்பாட்டு எனும் நூல் சேர்க்கப்பட்டதே இந்த உண்மையினை நாம் புரிந்துகொள்ளவேண்டும் என்பதற்காகவே. உன்னத சங்கீதம் வெறும் காதல் பாடல்களல்ல; அவை பக்தன் தேவனிடம்  கொள்ளும் அன்பையும் தேவன் பக்தர்களிடம் கொள்ளும் அன்பையும் விளங்குபவை. 

நாம் முழு இருதயத்தோடு, முழு ஆத்துமாவோடு, முழுப் பலத்தோடு கர்த்தரிடம் அன்பு செலுத்துவோமானால் மற்ற எல்லாவித அன்பும் நமக்கு அர்த்தமில்லாதவையாகவே இருக்கும். எனவேதான் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவும், "உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்தில் உன் முழு இருதயத்தோடும், உன் முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும், உன் முழு மனதோடும், உன் முழுப் பலத்தோடும் அன்புகூருவாயாக என்பதே பிரதான கற்பனை." ( மாற்கு 12 : 30 ) என்று பழைய ஏற்பட்டுக் கட்டளையை வலியுறுத்துகின்றார்.  

நாம் ஏன் கர்த்தரிடம் இப்படி அன்பு செலுத்தவேண்டும்? காரணம், அவர் இந்தப் பூமியில் நம்மை மற்றவர்களிடமிருந்து  பிரித்தெடுத்துத்  தனக்குச் சொந்தமானவர்களாகத்  தெரிந்துகொண்டுள்ளதால்தான். இதனையே நாம், "நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்த ஜனம், பூச்சக்கரத்திலுள்ள எல்லா ஜனங்களிலும் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னைத் தமக்குச் சொந்தமாயிருக்கும்படி தெரிந்துகொண்டார்." ( உபாகமம் 7 : 6 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் அல்ல, மாறாக அவர்தான் முதன்முதலில் நம்மேல் அன்பு செலுத்தினார். எனவேதான் இப்போது நாம் அவர்மேல் அன்பு செலுத்துகின்றோம். இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் அன்புச் சீடனாகிய யோவான் எனவேதான்,   "அவர் முந்தி நம்மிடத்தில் அன்புகூர்ந்தபடியால் நாமும் அவரிடத்தில் அன்புகூருகிறோம்." ( 1 யோவான்  4 : 19 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவும், "நீங்கள் என்னைத் தெரிந்துகொள்ளவில்லை, நான் உங்களைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டேன்; நீங்கள் என் நாமத்தினாலே பிதாவைக் கேட்டுகொள்ளுவது எதுவோ, அதை அவர் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கத்தக்கதாக நீங்கள் போய்க் கனிகொடுக்கும்படிக்கும், உங்கள் கனி நிலைத்திருக்கும்படிக்கும், நான் உங்களை ஏற்படுத்தினேன்." ( யோவான் 15 : 16 ) என்று கூறினார். 

அதாவது நாம் கனியுள்ள ஒரு வாழ்க்கை வாழும்படிக்கும், அப்படி வாழ்வதன்மூலம் அவர் பிதாவிடம் வேண்டி  கேட்டுக்கொண்டவற்றை பெற்றுக்கொண்டதுபோல நாமும் பெற்று மகிழவேண்டும் என்பதற்காகவும் நம்மை முதலில் அவர் தெரிந்தெடுத்தார். அதாவது, நாமும் அவரைப்போல பிதாவிடம் உறவுள்ளவர்களாக வாழ்வதற்காக நம்மை அவர் தெரிந்தெடுத்தார். அவர் இப்படி நம்மேல் அன்பு செலுத்தியதால் நாமும் முழு இருதயத்தோடும், முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும், முழுப் பலத்தோடும் அவரை அன்பு செய்யவேண்டியதுள்ளது.  அவரை மட்டுமே அன்பு செய்து வாழ்வோம்.

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might." (Deuteronomy 6:5)

Today’s meditation verse outlines three specific ways we are called to love the Lord: with our entire heart, our entire soul, and our entire strength. Those who pray to God only for the fulfilment of specific desires or worldly needs are merely "opportunists." Such people do not possess the depth of love for God described in this verse.

With all your heart: A state where there is room for no one and nothing else but Him in your heart, With all your soul: Relying entirely on the Lord for your soul's salvation without seeking other gods or intermediaries, With all your might: Trusting Him completely and remaining unshaken, regardless of the hardships or trials that enter your life.

As we have reflected in previous meditations, the love we hold for God is often compared to the love between devoted lovers. The book of Song of Solomon was included in the Bible specifically to help us understand this profound intimacy. It is not merely a collection of love songs; it illustrates the love a devotee has for God and the love God has for His people.

When we love the Lord with all our heart, soul, and might, all other forms of love become insignificant by comparison. This is why the Lord Jesus Christ reinforced this Old Testament commandment, saying:

"And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment." (Mark 12:30)

Why Must We Love Him This Way?

We love Him because He has set us apart from the rest of the world and chosen us as His own possession. As it is written:

"For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth." (Deuteronomy 7:6)

Indeed, dear friends, we did not love Him first; He loved us first. That is why we are now able to love Him. The beloved disciple John says:

"We love, because He first loved us." (1 John 4:19)

Our Lord Jesus Christ also said:

"You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you." (John 15:16)

He chose us first so that we might live a fruitful life and experience the joy of receiving from the Father, just as He did. He chose us so that we could live in a deep relationship with the Father, patterned after His own. Since He has loved us so profoundly, it is our duty to love Him back with all our heart, soul, and might. Let us live our lives loving Him alone.
