 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳

📖 ஆதவன் வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண் 1905

🔆 2026 ஏப்ரல் 26, ஞாயிறு       

"உங்கள் பொக்கிஷம் எங்கேயிருக்கிறதோ அங்கே உங்கள் இருதயமும் இருக்கும்." ( மத்தேயு 6 : 21 )

ஒரு மனிதனின் இதயத்து ஆசை எதுவோ அதில்தான் அவன் கவனம் செலுத்துவான். நாம் பல்வேறு துறைகளில் சாதனை புரிந்த மனிதர்களது வாழ்க்கை வரலாறுகளை வாசித்துப்பார்த்தால் இது புரியும். ஒரு மனிதனின் சாதனை ஒரேநாளில் நிகழ்வதல்ல. மாறாக, தொடர்ந்த ஆசை, முயற்சிகள் இவையே ஒருவரை குறிப்பிட்டத் துறையில் வெற்றிபெறச்செய்யும். 

ஒரு முறை எனக்குத் தெரிந்த ஒரு பணக்காரத் தொழிலதிபரான பெரியவர் ஒருவரிடம் பேசிக்கொண்டிருந்தபோது அவர் கூறினார், "நான் எதனை சாதிக்கவேண்டுமென்று நினைத்தேனோ அதனை அடைந்துவிட்டேன்" என்று. ஆம், அவரின் சிறு வயதுமுதல் அவர் பெரிய பெரிய தொழிலதிபர்களின் வாழ்க்கை வரலாறுகளையும் அவர்களது முயற்சிகளையும் அறிந்துகொள்வதில் ஆர்வமுள்ளவராக இருந்தாராம். அதாவது அவரது பொக்கிஷம் அந்த இலக்குதான். அதனை அடைந்துவிட்டார். இதுபோல பல விளையாட்டு வீரர்கள், கல்வியாளர்கள் குறிப்பிட்டத் துறையில்  இருதயத்தை வைத்து வெற்றி பெற்றுள்ளனர். 

ஆனால் நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து இப்படி  உலக செல்வமாகிய பொக்கிஷங்களைச் சேகரிப்பதைவிட பரலோக பொக்கிஷங்களைச்  சேர்த்துவைக்க நமக்கு அறிவுறுத்தினார். காரணம் நாம் இந்த உலகத்தில் என்னவிதமான செல்வத்தை எவ்வளவுதான் சேர்த்தாலும் அவை பூரண மனமகிழ்ச்சியையும் நிறைவையும் நமக்குத் தருவதில்லை. இதனை, "பொருளாசையைக்குறித்து எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்; ஏனெனில் ஒருவனுக்கு எவ்வளவு திரளான ஆஸ்தி இருந்தாலும் அது அவனுக்கு ஜீவன் அல்ல என்றார்." ( லுூக்கா 12 : 15 ) என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்துக் கூறுவதிலிருந்து அறியலாம். 

நமது இருதயம் பணத்தின்மேல் மட்டும் பற்றுக்கொண்டு இருக்குமானால் நித்திய ஜீவனை இழந்து தேவனால் கைவிடப்பட்டவர்களாக மாறுவோம். நான் சிறு பையனாக இருக்கும்போது எனது பாட்டி ஒரு சம்பவத்தைக் கூறியுள்ளார். அவர்களது உறவினர் ஒருவர் மிகப்பெரிய செல்வந்தர். அவர் மரணத்தருவாயில் இருந்தபோது பல நாட்கள் படுக்கையில் கிடந்தார். சிறிது உயிர் மட்டும் அவரில் பலநாட்கள் இருந்தது. அப்போது அவர் பெருமூச்சு விடுவதும், கைகளை பணம் எண்ணுவதுபோல செய்கை காட்டுவதும், அருகிலிருக்கும் மர அலமாரியைப் பார்ப்பதுமாக இருந்தார். உயிர் போகாமல் வதைத்துக்கொண்டிருந்தது. 

அப்போது அங்கு வந்த ஒரு முதியவர்,  "இவர் பணத்தைப்பற்றிய எண்ணத்திலேயே இருக்கிறார். எல்லாவற்றையும் விட்டுவிட்டுச் செல்கின்றோமே என்று ஏங்குகின்றார். நான் சொல்வதைபோலச் செய்யுங்கள். ஒரு துணியில் உடைந்த மண்பானைத் துண்டுகளைப் போட்டு முடிந்து அவர் கையில் கொடுங்கள்" என்றார். அவர் கூறியதுபோல உடைந்த மண்பானைத் துண்டுகளைத் துணியில் முடிச்சாகக்  கட்டி அவர் கையில் கொடுத்து, "நீங்கள் சம்பாதித்தப் பணம் எங்கும் வீணாகவில்லை. இந்தத் துணிமூட்டைக்குள் இருக்கின்றது" என்று கூறியவுடன் அதனை ஆவலுடன் வாங்கி நெஞ்சோடு அணைத்துக்கொண்டார். அத்துடன் அவர் உயிர் பிரிந்தது.

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, "பணப்பிரியன் பணத்தினால் திருப்தியடைவதில்லை; செல்வப்பிரியன் செல்வப்பெருக்கினால் திருப்தியடைவதில்லை; இதுவும் மாயையே." ( பிரசங்கி 5 : 10 ) என்று கூறியுள்ளபடி அவர்கள் மாயையான வாழ்க்கை வாழ்கின்றனர். சாகும்வரை பண ஆசை அவர்களைவிட்டுச் செல்வதில்லை.

ஆனால், நமது இருதயத்தை பரலோக செல்வத்தில் வைப்போமானால் இறுதிக்காலத்தில் நிம்மதியாக தேவனை நோக்கிச் செல்லமுடியும். ஒரு முதிர்ந்த ஆவிக்குரிய ஊழியர் மரிக்கும்போது நடந்த சம்பவத்தை அவரது வரலாறு நூலில் வாசித்தேன். அவர் மரிக்கும்போது அந்த அறையில் இருந்த மக்களிடம் புன்னகையுடன், "சகோதர சகோதரிகளே, கர்த்தரைச் சந்திக்கச் செல்கிறேன். அவர் இதோ வந்திருக்கிறார். நான் போகிறேன். நாம் மறுவுலகில் சந்திப்போம்" என்று கூறி புன்னகையுடன் உயிரைவிட்டார். 

ஆம், தேவன்தான் நமது மெய்யான பொக்கிஷம். அவரை உண்மையாக நேசிப்போமானால் அவரோடு நமது இருதயமும் இருக்கும். நமது பொக்கிஷமிருக்கும் அந்த இடத்தில்  சேரும்போதுதான் நமக்கு மெய்யான அமைதியும் மகிழ்ச்சியும்  ஏற்படும்.

"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (Matthew 6:21)

Whatever a person’s heart desires, that is where their focus will lie. We can understand this clearly if we read the biographies of people who have achieved greatness in various fields. A person's achievement does not happen in a single day; rather, it is continuous desire and persistent effort that lead someone to success in a specific field.

Once, while speaking with an elderly, wealthy businessman I know, he remarked, "I have achieved exactly what I set out to achieve." From his youth, he had been passionate about learning the life stories and efforts of great industrialists. In other words, that goal was his "treasure." He eventually reached it. Similarly, many athletes and scholars have achieved success by setting their hearts on a specific discipline.

However, our Lord Jesus Christ advised us to store up heavenly treasures rather than accumulating the treasures of this world. The reason is that no matter what kind of wealth we amass in this world, or how much of it we have, it never grants us perfect joy or fulfilment. We can see this in the words of Jesus:

"Then He said to them, 'Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions.'" (Luke 12:15)

If our hearts are attached only to money, we will lose eternal life and find ourselves forsaken by God. When I was a young boy, my grandmother told me a story. One of their relatives was a very wealthy man. When he was on his deathbed, he lingered for many days. A flicker of life remained in him, but he spent those days sighing deeply, moving his hands as if counting money, and constantly glancing at a wooden cupboard nearby. He was suffering, unable to pass away peacefully.

An elderly man who came there observed, "He is still consumed by thoughts of money. He is yearning because he feels he is leaving everything behind. Do as I say: put some broken pieces of earthenware in a cloth, tie it up, and give it to him." Following his advice, they tied broken pot shards in a cloth bundle and placed it in his hand, saying, "The money you earned hasn't gone anywhere; it is right here in this bundle." As soon as he eagerly grabbed it and clutched it to his chest, he passed away.

Yes, dear ones, as it is written:

"He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves abundance with its income. This too is vanity." (Ecclesiastes 5:10)

Those who live this way live a life of vanity. The love of money does not leave them even until the moment of death.

However, if we set our hearts on heavenly wealth, we can move toward God with peace in our final days. I read an account in the biography of a mature spiritual minister regarding his passing. As he was dying, he looked at the people in the room with a smile and said, "Brothers and sisters, I am going to meet the Lord. He is here. I am going. We shall meet in the next world." With that smile, he breathed his last.

Truly, God is our real treasure. If we love Him sincerely, our hearts will be with Him. It is only when we reach the place where our treasure is that we will experience true peace and joy.
