📖 ஆதவன் வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண் 1899

🔆 2026 ஏப்ரல் 20, திங்கள்          

"துன்மார்க்கனை நீதிமானாக்குகிறவனும், நீதிமானைக் குற்றவாளியாக்குகிறவனுமாகிய இவ்விருவரும் கர்த்தருக்கு அருவருப்பானவர்கள்." ( நீதிமொழிகள் 17 : 15 )

 

இன்றைய தியான வசனத்துக்கு நாம் இன்றைய தேர்தல் சூழ்நிலையினைக்கொண்டுச்  சில விளக்கங்களைப் பார்க்கலாம். 

பொதுவாக அரசியலில் வேதாகமம் கூறும் அடிப்படையிலான நீதிமான்கள் எவரும் இருக்கமுடியாது என்பது தெரிந்த காரியம்.  ஆனால், சில காரியங்களை நாம் சிந்திக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். நீதிமான்களாக இல்லாவிட்டாலும் நமக்கு ஆதரவாக இருப்பவர்களை நாம் மறந்துவிடமுடியாது; அவர்களைப் புறக்கணிக்க முடியாது. இன்று கிறிஸ்தவர்களாகிய நாம் தமிழகத்தில் விடுதலையுடன் தேவனை ஆராதித்து வருகின்றோமென்றால் இங்கிருக்கும் அரசியல் சூழ்நிலைதான் காரணம்; இங்கு ஆட்சியில் இருக்கும் தலைவர்கள்தான் காரணம். 

இன்றைய சூழ்நிலையில் மதச்சார்பற்ற முற்போக்குக் கூட்டணி கிறிஸ்தவர்களுக்கும் இதர சிறுபான்மையின மக்களுக்கும் பாதுகாப்பான கூட்டணியாக இருக்கின்றது. அவற்றின் தலைவர்களும் மற்றவர்களுடன் ஒப்பிடும்போது நல்லவர்களாகவே இருக்கின்றனர்; அமைதலுள்ள குணமுள்ளவர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர்.  இந்தியாவின் வடமாநிலங்களில் நடைபெறும் கிறிஸ்தவ விரோத செயல்பாடுகளை நாம் செய்தித் தாள்களில் வாசிக்கின்றோம், தொலைக்காட்சிகளில் பார்க்கின்றோம். இதே நிலை தமிழகத்தில் ஏற்பட்டுவிட நாம் அனுமதிக்கக்கூடாது.  

இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம், "துன்மார்க்கனை நீதிமானாக்குகிறவனும், நீதிமானைக்   குற்றவாளியாக்குகிறவனுமாகிய இவ்விருவரும் கர்த்தருக்கு அருவருப்பானவர்கள்" என்று. நாம் வாக்களிக்கும்போது கிறிஸ்தவர்களுக்கு இடையூறாக இருப்பவர்களுக்கு வாக்களிப்போமானால் நாம் துன்மார்க்கர்களை ஆதரித்து நீதிமானாக்க முயலுகின்றோம் என்று பொருள்.  மட்டுமல்ல, இதுவரை நமக்கு ஆதரவாக இருக்கும் தலைவர்களைக்  குற்றவாளியாக்குகிறோம் என்று பொருள். 

இப்படிச் செய்கின்றவர்கள் கர்த்தருக்கு அருவருப்பானவர்கள் என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. அருவருப்பு என்றால் என்ன?  மனிதக் கழிவுகளைக் கண்டு நாம் முகம்சுழித்து ஒதுங்கிச் செல்வோமே அதுபோன்ற செயல். ஆம், இப்படிச் செய்பவர்களை கர்த்தர் அதுபோல அருவெறுப்பாகக் கருதி ஒதுக்குவார் என்று பொருள். 

இன்று திரைப்படத்தில் வீரனாக நடிக்கும் சாதாரண நடிகனின்பின்னால் தமிழகத்தில் பெரும் திரளான இளைஞர்கள் ஓடுகின்றனர். அரசியல்வேறு, திரைபடம்வேறு எனும் அடிப்படையினைப் புரிந்துகொள்ளாத நிலைமையே இதற்குக் காரணம். சினிமாவில் செய்வதுபோல மாயாஜாலத்தை நிஜ வாழ்க்கையில் ஒருவரும் செய்ய முடியாது. இப்படிப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு வாக்களிக்கும்போது நாம் நம்மை அறியாமல் நமக்கு எதிராகச் செயல்படுகின்றோம் என்று பொருள்; நமக்கு ஆதரவாக இருக்கும் தலைவர்களுக்கு எதிராக நாம் செயல்படுகின்றோம் என்று பொருள்.  மொத்தத்தில் கிறிஸ்துவின் சித்தத்துக்கு எதிராகச் செயல்படுகின்றோம் என்று பொருள். 

கிறிஸ்தவர்களுக்கு அரசியல் தேவையில்லை என்று சிலர் கருதுகின்றனர். ஆனால் அரசியல் நமது வாழ்க்கையுடன் இணைந்தது. நல்ல அரசியல் சூழ்நிலை இருந்தால்தான் நாம் அமைதியாக வாழமுடியும். எனவேதான் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "நான் பிரதானமாய்ச் சொல்லுகிற புத்தியென்னவெனில், எல்லா மனுஷருக்காகவும் விண்ணப்பங்களையும் ஜெபங்களையும் வேண்டுதல்களையும் ஸ்தோத்திரங்களையும்பண்ணவேண்டும்; நாம் எல்லாப் பக்தியோடும் நல்லொழுக்கத்தோடும் கலகமில்லாமல் அமைதலுள்ள ஜீவனம்பண்ணும்படிக்கு, ராஜாக்களுக்காகவும், அதிகாரமுள்ள யாவருக்காகவும் அப்படியே செய்யவேண்டும்." ( 1 தீமோத்தேயு 2 : 1-2 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, வெறுமனே ஜெபித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தால் மட்டும்  போதாது. தேவன் நமக்குத் தரும் வாய்ப்பினை அவரது சித்தப்படி நாம் பயன்படுத்தவேண்டும். நீதிமான்களும் பரிசுத்தர்களும் நமக்கு முன் நிறுத்தப்படவில்லை என்றாலும் ஒப்பீட்டு அளவில் (comparisan)  நல்லவர்களுக்கு வாக்களிப்போம். அதுவே தேவனது சித்தம்.

"He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous, both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord." (Proverbs 17:15)

We can examine today’s meditation verse through the lens of our current electoral landscape.

It is a known reality that in politics, there may be no "righteous" individuals in the absolute sense that the Bible describes. However, it is essential for us to reflect on certain truths. Even if they are not righteous, we cannot forget those who stand by us; nor can we disregard them. If we as Christians are able to worship God with freedom in Tamil Nadu today, it is due to the political environment here and the leaders currently in governance.

In the present context, the Secular Progressive Alliance stands as a protective shield for Christians and other minority communities. When compared to others, their leaders conduct themselves with integrity and possess a peaceable character. We read in newspapers and see on television the anti-Christian activities occurring in North India. We must not allow such a situation to arise in Tamil Nadu.

Today’s verse warns: "He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous, both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord." If we cast our votes for those who create obstacles for Christians, it means we are attempting to "justify the wicked" by supporting them. Furthermore, it means we are "condemning the righteous"—effectively turning our backs on the leaders who have supported us thus far.

The verse says those who do this are an abomination to the Lord. What does "abomination" mean? Think of the way we recoil and turn away in disgust from human waste. That is the weight of this word. It implies that the Lord views such actions with utter detestation and will set aside those who act this way.

Today, a vast number of youths in Tamil Nadu follow ordinary actors who play heroes on screen. This stems from a failure to understand that politics and cinema are two different worlds. No one can perform the "magic" seen in movies in real life. By voting for such individuals, we unknowingly act against our own interests and against the leaders who support us. Ultimately, we are acting against the will of Christ.

Some believe that politics has no place in the life of a Christian. However, politics is inextricably linked to our lives. Only under a good political environment can we live in peace. This is why the Apostle Paul instructs:

"First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity." (1 Timothy 2:1-2, NASB)

Yes, dear ones, simply praying is not enough. We must utilize the opportunities God gives us according to His will. Even if "perfectly" righteous or holy people are not standing before us as candidates, let us vote for those who are good by comparison. That is the will of God.
