📖 ஆதவன் வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண் 1892

🔆 2026 ஏப்ரல் 13, திங்கள்        

"சீமோன்பேதுரு மற்றவர்களை நோக்கி: மீன்பிடிக்கப்போகிறேன் என்றார். அதற்கு அவர்கள்: நாங்களும் உம்முடனேகூட வருகிறோம் என்றார்கள். அவர்கள் புறப்பட்டுப்போய், உடனே படகேறினார்கள். அந்த இராத்திரியிலே அவர்கள் ஒன்றும் பிடிக்கவில்லை." ( யோவான் 21 : 3 )

தேவ பிள்ளைகளாகிய நாம் தேவனை அறியாத மற்றவர்களைப்போல் வாழாமல் தேவன் நமக்கு நியமித்திருக்கும் வழியினை அறிந்தவர்களாக வாழவேண்டியது அவசியம். அப்படி வாழாமல் தேவ சித்தத்துக்கு மாறாகச் செயல்படுவோமானால் வாழ்வில் நாம் வெற்றிபெற முடியாது. 

மீன்பிடிக்கிறவராக வாழ்ந்த சீமோன் பேதுருவுக்குத் தேவனால் நியமிக்கப்பட்டப் பணி மனிதர்களைப் பிடிப்பது. இதனையே இயேசு அவரிடம் தான் உயிருடன் பூமியில் வாழ்ந்தபோது, "பயப்படாதே, இதுமுதல் நீ மனுஷரைப் பிடிக்கிறவனாயிருப்பாய் என்றார்." ( லுூக்கா 5 : 10 ) அதாவது கிறிஸ்துவின் நற்செய்தியினை மக்களுக்கு அறிவித்து அவர்களை கிறித்துவின்பக்கமாய்த் திருப்பும் பணி. 

ஆனால், இயேசு   கிறிஸ்துவோடு மூன்றரை ஆண்டுகள் பயணித்து, அவரோடு பழகி, அவரது செயல்பாடுகளைக் கண்ணால் கண்டிருந்தும் சீடர்களுக்கு கிறிஸ்துவின் மரணத்துக்குப்பின் கைவிடப்பட்டதுபோன்ற உணர்வு ஏற்பட்டது. அதுவரை தங்களது வாழ்வாதாரத்தைப் பற்றிய கவலை இல்லாமல் வாழ்ந்த சீடர்களுக்குத் தங்களது  பொருளாதார நிலைகுறித்து எண்ணம் ஏற்பட்டது. பழைய தொழிலும் இல்லை, நம்பியிருந்த கிறிஸ்துவும் மரித்துப்போனார் இனி வாழ்வதற்கு ஏதாவது செய்தாகவேண்டும். எனவே, பழைய மீன்பிடித் தொழிலுக்கேத் திரும்ப பேதுரு முடிவெடுத்துவிட்டார். 

எனவே, அவர்  மற்றவர்களை நோக்கி, மீன்பிடிக்கப்போகிறேன் என்றார். அதற்கு அவர்களும் நாங்களும் உம்முடனேகூட வருகிறோம் என்றார்கள்.  இப்படி மற்றவர்களையும் பழைய தொழிலுக்கு நேராக நடத்தினார் பேதுரு. ஆனால், இது மனித தீர்மானமேத்  தவிர தேவ சித்தமல்ல. எனவே அந்த இராத்திரியிலே அவர்கள் ஒன்றும் பிடிக்கவில்லை. ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, தேவன் நம் ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் நியமித்திருக்கும் வழியினை நாம் புறக்கணித்து அதற்கு மாறாகச் செயல்படுவோமானால் வெற்றிபெற முடியாது. 

ஆனால் உயிர்த்தெழுந்த இயேசு சீடர்களை அப்படியே விட்டுவிடவில்லை. அவர்களது மனநிலையினை இயேசு அறிந்திருந்ததால் அவர்களுக்குத் தனது வல்லமையினை விளங்கச்செய்து அவர்களைத்  தனது சித்தம்செய்ய தயார்ப்படுத்த விரும்பினார். எனவே, மீன் கிடைக்காமல் சோர்ந்துபோய் கரைசேர்ந்த சீடர்களுக்கு இயேசு கடற்கரையில் வந்து நின்று காட்சிகொடுத்தார். மட்டுமல்ல, பிள்ளைகளே, சாப்பிடுவதற்கு உங்களிடம் ஏதாவது உண்டா? என்று கேட்கிறார். அவர்கள் இல்லை என்று கூறவே, "அப்பொழுது அவர்: நீங்கள் படவுக்கு வலதுபுறமாக வலையைப் போடுங்கள், அப்பொழுது உங்களுக்கு அகப்படும் என்றார். அப்படியே அவர்கள் போட்டு, திரளான மீன்கள் அகப்பட்டதினால், அதை இழுக்கமாட்டாதிருந்தார்கள்." ( யோவான் 21 : 6 )

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இந்தச் சம்பவத்துக்குப்பின் சீடர்கள் பழைய தொழிலைச் செய்வதுகுறித்து சிந்திக்கவே இல்லை. அவர்கள் புரிந்துகொண்டார்கள். நமக்கு நியமிக்கப்பட்டப் பணி மீன்பிடிப்பதல்ல, மனிதர்களைப்பிடிப்பது. எனவே, துணிவுடன் மீண்டும் இயேசு அவர்களுக்குப் பணித்த நற்செய்திப்பணியினைச் செய்யத் துவங்கினர்.

நமது வாழ்க்கையிலும் நமக்கு தேவன் நியமித்திருக்கும் திட்டத்துக்கு எதிராகச் செயல்படுவோமானால் மீன் எதுவும் அகப்படாமல் தவித்தச் சீடர்களைப்போல நாமும் தவிக்கநேரிடும்.  இதுபோலவே  தேவ சித்தத்துக்கு எதிராக செயல்பட்ட யோனா தீர்க்கத்தரிசியின் வாழ்க்கைச் சம்பவங்களையும் நாம் அறிவோம். 

வாழ்க்கையில் பிரச்சனைகள், தோல்விகள், தவிப்புகள், சஞ்சலங்கள் ஏற்படும்போது தேவனே உமது சித்தம்தான் என்ன என்று அவரிடமே கேட்டு முடிவுகள் எடுப்போம்.  இல்லையானால் பிரச்சனைகள் தொடரவேச்  செய்யும்.  உதாரணமாக, நமக்கு உலகவேலை கிடையாது என்பது தேவ சித்தமானால் நாம் எவ்வளவுதான் பணத்தையும், நேரத்தையும் செலவழித்து வேலைக்காக அலைந்தாலும் மீன்கள் எதுவும் கிடைக்காமல் கரைக்குத் திரும்பியச் சீடர்களைப்போலவே இருப்போம். "தேவனே, என்னைக்குறித்த உமது சித்தம் என்ன?" என்று காத்திருந்து ஜெபிப்போம். அதற்கேற்பச் செயல்படுவோம்.

"Simon Peter said to them, 'I am going fishing.' They said to him, 'We will also come with you.' They went out and got into the boat; and that night they caught nothing." (John 21:3)

As children of God, it is essential that we do not live like those who do not know Him, but rather as those who understand the path God has appointed for us. If we live contrary to God’s will, we cannot achieve true success in life.

For Simon Peter, who had been a fisherman by trade, God had appointed a new mission: to be a fisher of men. Jesus had told him this clearly during His earthly ministry: "Do not fear; from now on you will be catching people" (Luke 5:10). This meant the work of proclaiming the Gospel of Christ to the people and turning them toward Him.

However, despite traveling with Jesus for three and a half years and witnessing His works firsthand, the disciples felt a sense of abandonment after His death. Having lived without worry for their livelihood until then, they began to focus on their economic situation. Their old profession was gone, and the Christ they relied on had died—they felt they had to do something to survive. Consequently, Peter decided to return to his old fishing trade.

When he told the others, "I am going fishing," they followed his lead. In this way, Peter influenced others to return to their past lives. This, however, was a human decision and not the will of God. As a result, that night they caught nothing. Truly, when we ignore the path God has set for us and act against it, we cannot find success.

But the resurrected Jesus did not leave the disciples in that state. Knowing their mindset, He wanted to manifest His power and prepare them to do His will. As the weary disciples reached the shore without any fish, Jesus appeared standing on the beach. He asked them, "Children, you do not have any fish to eat, do you?" When they answered no, He said to them:

"Cast the net on the right-hand side of the boat and you will find some." So they cast it, and then they were not able to haul it in because of the great number of fish." (John 21:6)

After this incident, the disciples never thought about returning to their old trade again. They understood: their appointed task was not catching fish, but catching men. With renewed courage, they began the Gospel work that Jesus had commanded them.

In our own lives, if we act against the plan God has for us, we will find ourselves struggling like the disciples who caught nothing. We see a similar example in the life of the prophet Jonah, who acted against God's will.

When problems, failures, and anxieties arise, let us go to God and ask, "Lord, what is Your will?" before making decisions. Otherwise, the struggles will continue. For instance, if it is God's will that we should not pursue a particular worldly career, no matter how much money or time we spend chasing it, we will remain like those disciples returning to shore empty-handed. Let us wait in prayer and ask, "Lord, what is Your will for me?" and act accordingly.
