பெரிய பர்வதமே, நீ சமபூமியாவாய்

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 653 ⛪ நவம்பர் 11,  2022 வெள்ளிக்கிழமை

"பெரிய பர்வதமே, நீ எம்மாத்திரம்? செருபாபேலுக்கு முன்பாக நீ சமபூமியாவாய்; தலைக்கல்லை அவன் கொண்டுவருவான்; அதற்குக் கிருபையுண்டாவதாக, கிருபையுண்டாவதாக என்று ஆர்ப்பரிப்பார்கள்" ( சகரியா 4 : 7 )

பாபிலோனில் அடிமைகளாய் இருந்த இஸ்ரவேலரை கோரேஸ் ராஜா விடுவித்து, நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் தகர்த்துப்போட்ட எருசலேம் ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுவதற்கு அனுமதியளித்து அனுப்பினான்.  அதற்கு இணங்க இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் எருசலேமுக்குத் திரும்பிவந்து ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டத்துவங்கினர். ஆனால், யூதர்களின் எதிரிகள் அதற்குத் தடைசெய்தனர். கோரஸ் ராஜாவுக்குப்பின்பு வந்த அர்தசஷ்டா ராஜாவுக்கு பொய் புகார்களை அனுப்பி ஆலயக் கட்டுமானத்தைத் தடைசெய்தனர். 

செருபாபேல் தலைமையில் ஆலயக் கட்டுமானத்தில் ஈடுபட்டிருந்த இஸ்ரவேலருக்கு இது மிகப்பெரிய தடையாக இருந்தது. அவர்கள் பரலோகத்தின் தேவனை நோக்கி  முறையிட்டு அழுது ஜெபித்தனர். அவர்களைத் திடப்படுத்த கர்த்தரது வார்த்தைகள் சகரியா தீர்க்கதரிசி மூலம் வந்தது. இன்றைய தியான வசனத்துக்கு முந்தின வசனம் சொல்கின்றது, "செருபாபேலுக்குச் சொல்லப்படுகிற கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை என்னவென்றால், பலத்தினாலும் அல்ல, பராக்கிரமத்தினாலும் அல்ல, என்னுடைய ஆவியினாலேயே ஆகும் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்." ( சகரியா 4 : 6 ). செருபாபேலே பயப்படாதே, எனது ஆவியினால் நான் இதனைச் செய்து முடிப்பேன் என்பதே கர்த்தர் கூறுவதன் பொருள்.  

அன்பானவர்களே, இன்று நமது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கையிலும் உலக வாழ்க்கையிலும் நமக்குப் பல்வேறு தடைகள் ஏற்படலாம். தோல்விகள் நிகழலாம். ஆனால் நாம் செருபாபேலைபோல கர்த்தருக்கு ஏற்புடையவர்களாக வாழ்ந்து, ஏற்புடைய செயல்களைச் செய்வோமானால்  செருபாபேலுக்குச் சொல்லியபடி பெரிய பர்வதமும் நமக்குமுன் சமபூமி ஆகிடும். 

செருபாபேல் எனும் பெயருக்குப்பதிலாக உங்கள் பெயரை அந்த இடத்தில சேர்த்து உச்சரித்து விசுவாசம்கொள்ளுங்கள். உதாரணமாக, நான் இதனை, "பெரிய பர்வதமே நீ எம்மாத்திரம்? ஜியோ பிரகாஷ் முன்பு நீ சமபூமியாவாய்" என்று கூறிக்கொள்வேன். அன்பானவர்களே, இப்படிச் சொல்லும்போது நமக்குள் விசுவாசம் ஏற்படும்.

தரியு எனும் ராஜா பாபிலோனில் ஆட்சிப்பொறுப்பை ஏற்றபோது செருபாபேலுக்குக் கூறப்பட்ட கர்த்தரது வார்த்தை நிறைவேறியது. மலை போன்ற தடைநீங்கி  சமபூமியாக மாறியது. எந்தத் தடையும் இல்லாமல் எருசலேம் ஆலயப் பணிகள் தொடர்ந்தன. 

இதற்கு முக்கிய காரணம், செருபாபேல் தனது சுய பலத்தை நம்பவில்லை. "பலத்தினாலும் அல்ல, பராக்கிரமத்தினாலும் அல்ல, என்னுடைய ஆவியினாலேயே ஆகும் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்." என்ற வார்த்தைகளின்படி கர்த்தரது ஆவி செயல்பட அவர் பொறுமையோடு காத்திருந்தார். 

நாமும் இதுபோலச்  செயல்படுவோம். பிரச்சனைகள் ஏற்படும்போது நமது சுய பலத்தை நம்பிச் செயல்படாமல் கர்த்தரது பலத்தை நம்பி செயல்படுவோம். அப்படி நாம் செயல்படும்போது ஆரம்பம்முதல் கர்த்தரது கிருபையின் கரம் நம்மோடு இருக்கும்; தடையில்லாத வெற்றி நமக்கு உண்டாகும். இதனையே, "தலைக்கல்லை அவன் கொண்டுவருவான்; அதற்குக் கிருபையுண்டாவதாக, கிருபையுண்டாவதாக என்று ஆர்ப்பரிப்பார்கள்"  என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஆம், கர்த்தரை முன்னிலைப்படுத்திச் செய்யப்படும் நமது அனைத்து காரியங்களிலும் அவரது கிருபையின் கரம் இருக்கும்; நமக்கு வெற்றி கிடைக்கும்.

Mountain shall become plain

 AATHAVAN 🖋️ 653 ⛪ November 11, 2022 Friday

"Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it." ( Zechariah 4 : 7 )

King Cyrus freed the Israelites who were slaves in Babylon and gave them permission to build the temple in Jerusalem that Nebuchadnezzar had destroyed. Accordingly the people of Israel returned to Jerusalem and built the temple. But the enemies of the Jews forbade it. They sent false complaints to King Artaxerxes who succeeded King Korus and banned the construction of the temple.

This was a great obstacle for the Israelites who were engaged in the construction of the Temple under the leadership of Zerubbabel. They cried and prayed to the God of heaven. The Lord's words came through the prophet Zechariah to strengthen them. The verse before today's meditation says, "This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. ( Zechariah 4 : 6 ) Fear not Zerubbabel, I will accomplish this by my Spirit, says the Lord.

Beloved, today we may encounter various obstacles in our spiritual life and worldly life. Failures may occur. But like Zerubbabel, if we live as acceptable to the Lord and do acceptable deeds, the great mountain will become plain before us, as said to Zerubbabel.

Replace your name to that place instead of the name Zerubbabel and believe. For example, I would say, "O great mountain? before Geo Prakash thou shalt become a plain" Beloved, faith will arise in us when we say like this.

The Lord's word to Zerubbabel was fulfilled when King Darius took over Babylon. The mountain-like barrier disappeared and became a plain. Work on the Temple in Jerusalem continued without any interruption.

The main reason for this is that Zerubbabel did not believe in his own strength. As told by the Lord, "Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts" Zerubbabel waited patiently for the Spirit of the Lord to work according to the words.

We should do the same. When problems arise, let's not rely on our own strength, but rely on God's strength. When we do so, the hand of God's grace will be with us from the beginning; We will have unhindered success. This is what is said, "he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it." Yea, the hand of his grace shall be in all our works which are done before the Lord; We will win.

Godly Sorrow

"Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing." ( 2 Corinthians 7 : 9 )

Today's Christian blessing ministers are uttering false prophetic promises and blessings so that people will always be in illusory happiness. But the apostle Paul was not like that. He did not hesitate to tell the people what God was revealing to him and the need for people to repent. It was a sad thing for many.

Generally people do not like others to point out their escapades and sins. Many people always want others to praise them. Even though they know the mistakes and sins of the believers who come to them, many Christian pastors do not take them to them and try to correct their mistakes. Because if they do, they will stop coming to their church. So the offerings they receive will also decrease. But Paul did not desire any other gain, because he had a true love for the souls of the people, he rebuked them and made them realize their faults and sins.

Many who were grieved by Paul's rebuke and exalted them later repented. This gave Paul great joy. That's why he says, "I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance."

Yes, ""For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death." ( 2 Corinthians 7 : 10 )

That is, if we grieve for our sins and transgressions, repentance will occur. Always worrying about worldly things will lead to death.

What Jesus Christ said in his Sermon on the Mount was about spiritual grief. "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted." ( Matthew 5 : 4 ) said Jesus Christ. This will be a surprise to many. How can the afflicted be blessed?. This is the spiritual sorrow that the apostle Paul speaks of. As Paul says it produces repentance. Men who are going straight to hell will escape it because of this spiritual sorrow. That is why Jesus Christ said blessed are those who mourn.

Let us grieve over our sins and transgressions. Let's ask God for forgiveness. Then our sorrow will turn into joy. Yes, then we will be glad that we mourned for repentance.

தேவனுக்கேற்ற துக்கம்

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 652 ⛪ நவம்பர் 10,  2022 வியாழக்கிழமை

"இப்பொழுது சந்தோஷப்படுகிறேன்; நீங்கள் துக்கப்பட்டதற்காக அல்ல, மனந்திரும்புகிறதற்கேதுவாகத் துக்கப்பட்டதற்காகவே சந்தோஷப்படுகிறேன்; நீங்கள் ஒன்றிலும் எங்களால் நஷ்டப்படாதபடிக்கு, தேவனுக்கேற்ற துக்கம் அடைந்தீர்களே." ( 2 கொரிந்தியர் 7 : 9 )

இன்றைய ஆசீர்வாத ஊழியர்கள் மக்கள்  எப்போதும் மாயையான மகிழ்ச்சியில் இருக்கவேண்டும் என்பதற்காக பொய்யான தீர்க்கத்தரிசன வாக்குறுதிகளையும், ஆசீர்வாதங்களையும் கூறிக்கொண்டிருப்பார்கள். ஆனால் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் அப்படிப்பட்டவரல்ல. தேவன் தனக்கு வெளிப்படுத்துவதையும், மக்கள் மனம் திருப்ப வேண்டியதன்  அவசியத்தையும் தயக்கமின்றி மக்களுக்கு எடுத்துரைத்து வந்தார். இது பலருக்கு துக்கமான காரியமாக இருந்தது. 

பொதுவாகவே மக்களுக்குத் தங்கள் தப்பிதங்களையும் பாவங்களையும் பிறர் எடுத்துக் கூறுவது பிடிக்காது. எப்போதும் மற்றவர்கள் தங்களை புகழவேண்டும் என்றே பலரும் விரும்புவார்கள்.  தங்களிடம் வரும் விசுவாசிகளது தவறுகளும் பாவங்களும் தெரிந்தாலும், பல போதகர்கள் அவர்களிடம் அவற்றை எடுத்துச் சொல்லி அவர்களது தவறைத் திருத்த முயல்வதில்லை. காரணம் அப்படிச் செய்தால் தங்களது சபைக்கு வருவதை அவர்கள் நிறுத்திவிடுவார்கள். அதனால் தங்களுக்கு வரும் காணிக்கைகளும் குறைந்துவிடும். ஆனால் பவுல் அடிகள் வேறு எந்த ஆதாயத்தையும் விரும்பாமல் மக்களது ஆத்துமாக்களின்மேல்  மெய்யான அன்பு கொண்டிருந்ததால் அவர்களைக் கண்டித்து தவறுகளையும் பாவங்களையும் உணர்த்தினார். 

இப்படி பவுல் கண்டித்து உயர்த்தியதால் துக்கமடைந்த பலர் பின்னர் மனம் திரும்பினார்கள். இது பவுலுக்கு மன மகிழ்சியைக் கொடுத்தது. எனவேதான், "இப்பொழுது சந்தோஷப்படுகிறேன்; நீங்கள் துக்கப்பட்டதற்காக அல்ல, மனந்திரும்புகிறதற்கேதுவாகத் துக்கப்பட்டதற்காகவே சந்தோஷப்படுகிறேன்" என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

ஆம், "தேவனுக்கேற்ற துக்கம் பின்பு மனஸ்தாபப்படுகிறதற்கு இடமில்லாமல் இரட்சிப்புக்கேதுவான மனந்திரும்புதலை உண்டாக்குகிறது; லெளகிக துக்கமோ மரணத்தை உண்டாக்குகிறது." ( 2 கொரிந்தியர் 7 : 10 )

அதாவது நமது பாவம், மீறுதல்கள் இவைகளைக் குறித்து தேவனுக்கேற்ற துக்கம் கொண்டோமானால் மனம் திரும்புதல் ஏற்படும். எப்போதும் உலக காரியங்களைக் குறித்துத் துக்கப்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தால் அது மரணத்தையே உண்டாக்கும். 

இயேசு கிறிஸ்து தனது மலைப் பிரசங்கத்தில் கூறியது ஆவிக்குரிய துக்கதைக்குறித்துதான். "துயரப்படுகிறவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; அவர்கள் ஆறுதலடைவார்கள்." ( மத்தேயு 5 : 4 ) என்றார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. பலருக்கு இது ஆச்சரியமாக இருக்கும். அது எப்படி துயரப்படுபவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்களாய் இருக்க முடியும்? என்று எண்ணுவார்கள். அது அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் கூறும் ஆவிக்குரிய துக்கம் தான். பவுல் கூறுவதுபோல அது இரட்சிப்புக்கேதுவான மனந்திரும்புதலை உண்டாக்குகிறது. நரகத்துக்கு நேராகச் செல்லும் மனிதர்கள் இந்த ஆவிக்குரிய துக்கம் அடைவதால் நரகத்துக்குத் தப்புவார்கள். எனவேதான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து துயரப்படுகிறவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள் என்றுகூறினார். 

நமது பாவங்கள் மீறுதல்கள் இவைகளைக்குறித்து துக்கப்படுவோம். தேவனிடம் மன்னிப்பு வேண்டுவோம். அப்போது நமது துக்கம் சந்தோஷமாக மாறும். ஆம், மனந்திரும்புகிறதற்கேதுவாகத் துக்கப்பட்டதற்காக அப்போது சந்தோஷப்படுவோம்.

தேவனின் மன்னிப்பு

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 651 ⛪ நவம்பர் 09,  2022 புதன்கிழமை

"இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தாரே, உங்கள் பொல்லாத வழிகளுக்குத்தக்கதாகவும், உங்கள் கெட்ட கிரியைகளுக்குத்தக்கதாகவும் நான் உங்களுக்குச் செய்யாமல், என் நாமத்தினிமித்தம் உங்களுக்குக் கிருபைசெய்யும்போது, நான் கர்த்தர் என்று அறிந்துகொள்வீர்கள் என்கிறதைக் கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறார்." ( எசேக்கியேல் 20 : 44 )

மனிதர்களது பாவங்களுக்கு பல்வேறு தண்டனைகள் மோசேயின் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளன. மிக இரக்கமற்ற தண்டனைகள் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளன. சுருக்கமாகச் சொல்வதானால், கண்ணுக்குக் கண் பல்லுக்குப் பல் என பழிவாங்கப்படவேண்டும். இதனை நாம் லேவியராகமத்தில், "நொறுக்குதலுக்கு நொறுக்குதல், கண்ணுக்குக் கண், பல்லுக்குப் பல்; அவன் ஒரு மனிதனை ஊனப்படுத்தினது போல அவனும் ஊனப்படுத்தப்படவேண்டும்." ( லேவியராகமம் 24 : 20 ) என வாசிக்கின்றோம்.  அங்கு பாவங்களுக்குத் தண்டனைதான் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளதே தவிர மன்னிப்பு பற்றி கூறப்படவில்லை. 

ஆனால், பழைய ஏற்பாட்டின் காலத்திலும்கூட மன்னிப்பு இருந்தது. தேவனை அக்காலத்து மக்கள் நெருங்கிடத் தயங்கினர்; பயப்பட்டனர். ஆனாலும் தாவீது, மற்றும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகள்,  உண்மையான பக்தர்கள் தேவனது மன்னிக்கும் குணத்தையும் இரக்கத்தையும்  அறிந்திருந்தனர். தேவனின் மன்னிக்கும் குணத்தை அறிந்திருந்த தாவீது, "ஆண்டவரே, நீர் நல்லவரும், மன்னிக்கிறவரும், உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிற யாவர்மேலும் கிருபை மிகுந்தவருமாயிருக்கிறீர்." ( சங்கீதம் 86 : 5 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார்.  ஆனால் பழைய ஏற்பாட்டு பாவ மன்னிப்பு முறைமை என்பது ஆடு அல்லது காளைகளை பலியிட்டு இரத்த நிவாரணம் மூலமே கிடைத்தது. 

இன்றைய வசனத்தில் எசேக்கியேல் மூலம் தேவன் கூறுகின்றார், "உங்கள் கெட்ட கிரியைகளுக்குத்தக்கதாகவும் நான் உங்களுக்குச் செய்யாமல், என் நாமத்தினிமித்தம் உங்களுக்குக் கிருபைசெய்யும்போது, நான் கர்த்தர் என்று அறிந்துகொள்வீர்கள்". என்கின்றார். ஆம், இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் கிருபையின் பிரமாணத்துக்கு இணையான வசனம் இது.  அதாவது நமது பாவங்களுக்குத் தக்கபடி தண்டனை கொடாமல் கிருபையால் அவற்றை மன்னித்து இரங்கும்போது நான் கர்த்தர் என்று அறிந்துகொள்வீர்கள்  என்கின்றது இந்த வசனம். 

நமது கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து இந்த பூமியில் வந்து பாடுபட்டு இரத்தம்சிந்தி மரித்து உயிர்த்து நமக்கு பாவ மன்னிப்பை எளிதாக்கினார். அவர் பூமியில் இருக்கும்போதே சொன்னார்,  "பூமியிலே பாவங்களை மன்னிக்க மனுஷகுமாரனுக்கு அதிகாரம் உண்டென்பதை நீங்கள் அறியவேண்டும்."( லுூக்கா 5 : 24 )

நாம் அனைவருமே பாவிகள்தான். நமது பாவங்களை அவர் எண்ணுவாரென்றால் அவர்முன் யாரும் நிற்க முடியாது. எனவேதான் இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது, "உங்கள் கெட்ட கிரியைகளுக்குத்தக்கதாகவும் நான் உங்களுக்குச் செய்யாமல், என் நாமத்தினிமித்தம் உங்களுக்குக் கிருபைசெய்யும்போது, நான் கர்த்தர் என்று அறிந்துகொள்வீர்கள் என்கிறதைக் கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறார்." என்று. 

ஆம், கிறிஸ்துவே ஆண்டவரும் மேசியாவுமாயிருக்கிறார் என்பதற்கு இன்றைய  வசனம் மேலும் ஓர் சான்றாக இருக்கின்றது. கிறிஸ்துவினால் பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டு  மீட்பு அனுபவம் பெறும்போது இந்த சத்தியம் நமக்குத் தெளிவாக விளங்கும். நமது பாவங்களை அவர் கிருபையாய் மன்னித்து மறுபடி பிறந்த அனுபவத்தை நமக்குத் தரும்போது, இயேசுவே கர்த்தர் என்று நாம் அறிந்து கொள்ள முடியும். 

அன்பானவர்களே, எந்த பாவங்கள் நம்மிடம் இருந்தாலும் அவரிடம் அறிக்கையிடுவோம். அவரிடம் நாம் மறைப்பதற்கு ஒன்றுமே இல்லை. நமது மீறுதல்களை அவர் அறிந்திருக்கின்றார். உண்மையான மனதுடன் நாம் அதனை ஏற்றுக்கொள்கின்றோமா என்பதையே அவர் எதிர்பார்க்கின்றார்.  ஆதாமைப் போல  நமது மீறுதல்களுக்கு மற்றவர்களையும் சூழ்நிலைகளையும் பழி சொல்லாமல் அவரிடம் மன்னிப்பு வேண்டுவோம்.   கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கிருபையாய் அவற்றை மன்னித்து தானே கர்த்தர் என்பதை நமக்கு உறுதிப்படுத்துவார்.

Forgiveness of God

"And ye shall know that I am the LORD when I have wrought with you for my name's sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD." ( Ezekiel 20 : 44 )

Various punishments for human sins were mentioned in the Law of Moses. The most merciless punishments are mentioned. In short, an eye for an eye;  a tooth for a tooth. We read this in Leviticus, "Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again." ( Leviticus 24 : 20 ). It only mentions the punishment of sins and does not mention forgiveness.

But even in Old Testament times there was forgiveness. The people of that time hesitated to approach God; were afraid.  Yet David, and the prophets, the true devotees knew God's forgiveness and mercy. Knowing God's forgiving nature, David said, "For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee." ( Psalms 86 : 5 ) But the Old Testament system of atonement was through blood by sacrificing goats or bulls.

In today's verse, God says through Ezekiel, "Ye shall know that I am the LORD when I have wrought with you for my name's sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings.". Yes, this is the same verse as the oath of grace of Jesus Christ. In other words, this verse says that you will know that I am the Lord when I forgive your sins and have mercy on you without punishing you accordingly.

Our Lord Jesus Christ came to this earth, suffered, shed blood, died and rose again and made it easy for us to get forgiveness for our sins. While he was still on earth, he said, "But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins"( Luke 5 : 24 ).

We are all sinners. If God counts our sins, none can stand before him. That's why today's verse says, "You will know that I am the Lord, says the Lord God, when I show you grace for my name's sake and do not do to you according to your evil deeds." 

Today's verse is yet another proof that, Christ is Lord and Messiah. This truth will become clear to us when we experience redemption through the forgiveness of sins by Christ. When He graciously forgives our sins and gives us the experience of being born again, we can know that Jesus is Lord.

Beloved, let us confess to him whatever sins we have. We have nothing to hide from Him. He knows our transgressions. He expects us to accept it with true heart. Let's not blame others and circumstances for our transgressions like Adam did. Ask Him for forgiveness. The Lord Jesus Christ will graciously forgive our sins and give assurance in our spirit that He is the Lord.

பணத்தின்மூலம் நித்திய ஜீவனா?

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 650 ⛪ நவம்பர் 08,  2022 செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை

"அழிந்துபோகிற போஜனத்திற்காக அல்ல, நித்தியஜீவன்வரைக்கும் நிலைநிற்கிற போஜனத்திற்காகவே கிரியை நடப்பியுங்கள்; அதை மனுஷகுமாரன் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பார்; அவரைப் பிதாவாகிய தேவன் முத்திரித்திருக்கிறார் என்றார்." (  யோவான் 6 : 27)

இன்று தங்களது உலகத் தேவைகளைப் பூர்த்திசெய்ய  வெய்யிலிலும் மழையிலும் கஷ்டப்பட்டு உழைக்கும் எண்ணற்ற மனிதர்களை நாம்  பார்க்கின்றோம். எதற்காக மனிதர்கள் இப்படிக் கடினமாக உழைக்கின்றனர்? தங்களது நல்வாழ்வுக்காகவும், தங்களது குடும்ப உறுப்பினர்களுக்காகவும்தான். 

இப்படி  உழைப்பதில் தவறில்லை; உழைக்காமல் இருப்பதுதான் தவறு.  நாம் நிச்சயமாக உழைக்கவேண்டும், அத்துடன் இயேசு கூறும் அறிவுரையையும் நாம் வாழ்வில் கவனத்தில் கொள்ளவேண்டும்.  "நித்தியஜீவன்வரைக்கும் நிலைநிற்கிற போஜனத்திற்காகவே கிரியை நடப்பியுங்கள்;" என்கின்றார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து.   ஆம், உலக வாழ்க்கைக்காக மட்டுமல்ல, நித்திய ஜீவனுக்காகவும்  நாம் உழைக்கவேண்டியிருக்கின்றது. உலக செல்வத்துக்காக உழைப்பதைவிட, ஆத்தும மீட்புக்காக நாம் அதிகம் உழைக்கவேண்டியுள்ளது.  

நித்தியஜீவன்வரைக்கும் நிலைநிற்கிற போஜனத்திற்காகவே உழைப்பவன் நேர்மையானவனாக, தனது உழைப்புக்குக்  குறிக்கப்பட்ட சம்பளத்துடன் நிறைவடைவான். லஞ்சம், ஊழல், சுரண்டல் செய்து சம்பாதிக்க முயலாமாட்டான். 

நேர்மை என்பது அதிக பணம் சம்பளமாகக் கிடைப்பதால் வந்த்துவிடுவதில்லை. அது மனிதன் தானாக உருவாக்கவேண்டிய குணம். மாதம் ஐம்பதினாயிரம் அறுபதாயிரம் சம்பளம் வாங்கும் அரசு அதிகாரி லஞ்சம் வாங்கும்போது  வெறும் பத்தாயிரம் சம்பளம் வாங்கும் மனிதன் உண்மையுள்ளவனாக வாழ்கின்றான். எனவே லஞ்சம் என்பது ஒரு வியாதி. அந்த வியாதிமாறவேண்டுமே தவிர அவனுக்கு எவ்வளவு சம்பளத்தை உயர்த்திக் கொடுத்தாலும் அந்த குணம் மாறாது.  இதற்கு காரணம் அவர்கள் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறுவதுபோல  அழிந்துபோகிற போஜனத்திற்காக (அதாவது உலகத் தேவைகளை மட்டுமே நிறைவேற்ற) உழைக்கின்றனர்.

சகேயு எனும் மனிதனைக் குறித்து லூக்கா 19 ஆம் அதிகாரத்தில் வாசிக்கின்றோம். இந்த சகேயு மக்களிடம் வரி வசூலிக்கும் மனிதர்களுக்குத் தலைவனாக இருந்தான். அதாவது ஒரு வருவாய் அதிகாரி போல. இவன்  முதலில் அழிந்து போகின்ற போஜனத்துக்காக உழைத்தபோது துன்மார்க்கனாக மக்களிடம் அதிக வரி வசூலித்துத்  தனது பையை நிரப்புபவனாக இருந்தான். ஆனால் நித்தியஜீவன்வரைக்கும் நிலைநிற்கிற போஜனமான இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை அறிந்தவுடன் அவனது எண்ணமே மாறிவிட்டது. தான் துன்மார்க்கமாக உழைத்து சேர்த்து வைத்துள்ள அழிந்துபோகிற  செல்வங்கள் பெரிதல்ல, நித்திய ஜீவனுக்கான வழியை எப்படியாவது தேடிட  உழைக்க வேண்டும், அதுவே பெரிது  எனும் எண்ணம் அவனுக்குள் வந்தது. 

"சகேயு நின்று, கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: ஆண்டவரே, என் ஆஸ்திகளில் பாதியை ஏழைகளுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறேன், நான் ஒருவனிடத்தில் எதையாகிலும் அநியாயமாய் வாங்கினதுண்டானால், நாலத்தனையாகத் திரும்பச் செலுத்துகிறேன் என்றான்." (  லுூக்கா 19 : 8 ) நித்திய ஜீவனைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டான். ஆம், கிறிஸ்து ஒருவனுக்குள் வரும்போது அவன் மாற்றமடைந்து நித்தியஜீவனுக்கு நேரான செயல்களைச் செய்ய ஆரம்பிக்கின்றான்.

இன்று ஆலயங்களுக்குச் சென்று ஆராதனையில் தவறாமல் கலந்து கொள்பவர்களும், பெரிய பெரிய ஊழியர்களுக்கு ஆயிரக்கணக்கான காணிக்கைகள் அனுப்பும் பலரும் குறுக்குவழியில் பணம் சேர்ப்பதைக் குறித்து எந்த குற்ற உணர்வும் இல்லாதவர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர். அவர்களது எண்ணம் பணத்தைக் காணிக்கை கொடுத்து தேவ ஆசீர்வாதத்தைப் பெறுவதுதான். ஆனால் பணத்தின்மூலம் ஆசீர்வாதம் பெற எண்ணுவது வாழ்வில் சாபத்தையே கொண்டுவரும். 

மந்திரவாதி சீமோன் இப்படி ஆசீர்வாதம் பெற எண்ணினான். அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுரு அவனை நோக்கி: "தேவனுடைய வரத்தைப் பணத்தினாலே சம்பாதித்துக்கொள்ளலாமென்று நீ நினைத்தபடியால் உன் பணம் உன்னோடேகூட நாசமாய்ப் போகக்கடவது." ( அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 8 : 20 ) என்று சபிப்பதைப்  பார்க்கின்றோம். 

அன்பானவர்களே, உலகத்தில் வாழ்வதற்கு நேர்மையாக உழைப்போம். அத்துடன் நித்தியஜீவன்வரைக்கும் நிலைநிற்கிற போஜனத்திற்காக ஏற்ற செயல்களையும் நடப்பிப்போம். கடந்த காலங்களில் தவறாக உழைத்து பணம் சம்பாதித்திருந்தால் கர்த்தரிடம் மன்னிப்புக் கேட்போம். தவறைத்  திருத்திக்கொள்வோம். கர்த்தர் நம்மை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.

Eternal life through money?

"Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed."( John 6 : 27 )

Today we see countless people toiling in sun and rain to fulfill their worldly needs. Why do people work so hard? For their own well-being and that of their family members.

There is nothing wrong with working like this; remaining idle is actually wrong. We must certainly work hard and heed Jesus' advice in our lives. "Work for the meat which endureth unto everlasting life;" Jesus Christ says. Yes, we have to work not only for worldly life but also for eternal life. Rather than working for worldly wealth, we have to work more for the salvation of the soul.

He who labors faithfully for the food that endures to eternal life will be satisfied with the reward of his labor. Do not try to earn by bribery, corruption, exploitation.

There is no relation between honesty and salary. Decent salary is not an assurance for honesty. Honesty is a quality that man has to develop by himself. A government official who earns fifty thousand to sixty thousand a month takes bribes, while a man who earns only ten thousand lives faithfully. So bribery is a disease. That disease must be cured. No matter how much salary increment is given, corrupt people's character will not change. This is because they work for perishable food (i.e. only to fulfill worldly needs) as Jesus Christ said.

In Luke chapter 19 we read about a man named Zacchaeus. This man was the leader of tax collectors. That is like todays revenue officer. He first labored for perishable meat, who filled his own pockets by charging heavy taxes. But his mind changed when he came to know Jesus Christ, the eternal food. The thought came to him that the perishable riches he had accumulated by working wickedly were not great, but that he must work somehow to find the way to eternal life, and that was great.

"And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold." ( Luke 19 : 8 ) Thus he earned eternal life. Yes, when Christ comes into a person he is transformed and begins to do things that lead to eternal life.

Today many people who go to temples and attend services regularly and send thousands of offerings to the so called great Christian ministers feel no guilt about raising money on the crosswalk. Their intention is to get God's blessings by offering money. But thinking to get blessings through money will bring curses in life.

Simon,  a man who used sorcery and bewitched the people intended to receive blessing of God through money. The apostle Peter said to him: "Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money." ( Acts 8 : 20 )

Beloved, let us work honestly to live in the world and do good deeds for the food that lasts forever. Let us ask God for forgiveness if we earned money by working wrongly in the past. Let's correct the mistake. May the Lord bless us.

சூழ்நிலைகளை மாற்றவல்ல தேவனையே நோக்கிப்பார்ப்போம்

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 649 ⛪ நவம்பர் 07,  2022 திங்கள்கிழமை

"தேவனே, நீர் என்னுடைய தேவன்; அதிகாலமே உம்மைத் தேடுகிறேன்; வறண்டதும் விடாய்த்ததும் தண்ணீரற்றதுமான நிலத்திலே என் ஆத்துமா உம்மேல் தாகமாயிருக்கிறது, என் மாம்சமானது உம்மை வாஞ்சிக்கிறது." ( சங்கீதம் 63 : 1 )

இன்றைய தியானத்துக்குரிய இந்தச் சங்கீத வசனம் இது எழுதப்பட்டப் பின்னணியோடு பார்க்கும்போது நமக்கு மேலும் ஆழமான நம்பிக்கையைத்தரும் வசனமாகும். அதிகாலையில் தேவனைத் தேடுவது நம்மில் பலரும் செய்யும் காரியம்தான். ஆனால், தாவீது இந்த சங்கீதத்தை எழுதிய பின்னணியினை பார்க்கும்போதுதான் இதன் அருமை புரியும். 

இந்த சங்கீதத்தைத் தாவீது தனது முப்பது வயதுக்குள் எழுதியிருக்கவேண்டும். காரணம், தாவீது தனது முப்பதாவது வயதில் ராஜாவானார். இந்தச் சங்கீதம் அதற்குமுன்பாக அதாவது, அவர் சவுல் ராஜாவுக்குப் பயந்து தனது உயிரைக் காத்துக்கொள்ள வனாந்தரத்தில் இருந்தபோது எழுதியது. இந்தச் சங்கீதத்தின் துவக்கத்தில் அது குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஆம், இது சுகமான அறையில் உட்கார்ந்து எழுதப்பட்ட வசனமல்ல. 

இன்று முப்பது வயதுக்குள் சினிமா நடிகர்கள்பின் ஓடும் இளைஞர்களை நாம் பார்க்கின்றோம். ஆனால் தாவீது இந்த இளம் வயதிலேயே தேவனைத் தேடினார். அதிகாலமே எழுந்து கர்த்தரை ஆராதித்தார். தன்னைச் சுற்றி இருக்கும் வறண்ட வனாந்தரத்தை அவர் பார்க்கின்றார். அதனை தேவனிடம், "அதிகாலமே உம்மைத் தேடுகிறேன்; வறண்டதும் விடாய்த்ததும் தண்ணீரற்றதுமான நிலத்திலே என் ஆத்துமா உம்மேல் தாகமாயிருக்கிறது" என அறிக்கையிட்டு மன்றாடுகின்றார். பாலைவனம் எப்படி இருக்கும் என்று கற்பனைச் செய்து பாருங்கள். சுகமான காற்றோ, நீரோ, சுவையான உணவோ எதுவுமே இருந்திருக்காது. அத்தகைய சூழலிலிருந்து இதனைத் தாவீது பாடுகின்றார். 

"என் படுக்கையின்மேல் நான் உம்மை நினைக்கும்போது, இராச்சாமங்களில் உம்மைத் தியானிக்கிறேன்." ( சங்கீதம் 63 : 6 ) என்று தாவீது கூறுவது அவர் இரவில் விழிக்கும்போதெல்லாம் தேவ சிந்தனையோடு இருந்ததைக் குறிக்கின்றது. 

அன்பானவர்களே, இன்று உண்மையான வனாந்தரத்தில் நாம் தவிக்காவிட்டாலும், வனாந்தரம் போன்ற வாழ்க்கைச் சூழ்நிலை ஒவ்வொருவர் வாழ்விலும் ஏற்படுவதுண்டு.  தாவீதுக்கு இருந்ததுபோல உயிர் பயம், ஒருவேளை நமக்கும்  ஏற்படலாம். கொடிய நோய்வாய்ப்படும்போது இந்த பயம் நம்மைத் தாக்குகின்றது. இருளான நமது வாழ்க்கை ஒளியடையுமா? எனும் எதிர்காலத்தைக் குறித்த பயம்...இவைகளே இன்று நம்மை பாலைவனச் சூழலுக்கு இட்டுச் செல்கின்றன. 

ஆனால் இத்தகைய சூழ்நிலையில் தாவீது பிரச்சனைகளை நோக்கிப்பார்க்கவில்லை. அவர், "என் ஆத்துமா உம்மேல் தாகமாயிருக்கிறது, என் மாம்சமானது உம்மை வாஞ்சிக்கிறது." என்று பாடுகின்றார். பிரச்சனைகள் இருக்கின்றன ஆனால் அவர் உள்ளம் பிரச்சனைகளைவிட தேவன்மேல் தாகமாய் இருந்தது. 

இத்தகைய உயர்ந்த ஆவிக்குரிய அனுபவம் தாவீதுக்கு முப்பது வயதுக்குள் வந்துவிட்டது. ஆம், அதனால்தான் அவரது சங்கீதங்கள் சுமார் நாலாயிரம் ஆண்டுகளைக் கடந்தபின்பும் உயிரோட்டமாக உள்ளன. 

வனாந்தரமான நமது வாழ்க்கைப் பிரச்சனைகளைப் பார்க்கவேண்டாம், சூழ்நிலைகளைப் பார்க்கவேண்டாம். நமது பிரச்சனைகளை அவரிடம் சொல்லிச் சொல்லி அழவேண்டாம்.  சூழ்நிலைகளை மாற்றவல்ல தேவனையே நோக்கிப்பார்ப்போம். தாவீதை அபிஷேகித்து ராஜாவாக்கியவர் நம்மையும் அதுபோல உயர்த்துவார். உலகத்து ராஜாவைப்போலல்ல, நமது பிரச்சனைகள், பாவங்கள்மேல் வெற்றிகொள்ளும் ஆவிக்குரிய ராஜாக்களாக மாற்றுவார்.

Let's look to God rather than the negative circumstances.

"O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is" ( Psalms 63 : 1 )

This psalm verse for today's meditation is a verse that gives us a deeper faith when we see it with the context in which it was written. Seeking God early in the morning is something many of us do. However, the beauty of this psalm can be understood only when you look at the background in which David wrote this psalm.

David must have written this psalm before he attains the age of thirty. The reason is that, David became king in his thirties. This psalm was written before that, when he was in the wilderness for fear of King Saul. It is mentioned in the beginning of this psalm. Yes, this is not a verse written sitting in a comfortable well furnished room.

Today we see youths in their thirties running after film actors. But David sought God at this young age. He got up early and worshiped the Lord. He sees the dry wilderness around him. He declares it to God, "I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is".  Imagine what the desert looks like. There would have been no fresh air, no water, no tasty food. David sings this from such a situation.

"When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches." ( Psalms 63 : 6 ). David says that whenever he woke up at night he was thinking of God.

Beloved, even if we are not living in a real wilderness today, a wilderness-like living situation occurs in everyone's life. Fear of life, like David's, can happen to us too. This fear hits us when we are terminally ill. Will our dark lives become light? Fear of the future...these are the things that lead us to the desert environment today.

But in such a situation, David did not look at the problems. He said, "My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee." There were problems but his heart thirsted for God more than getting solution for problems. Such a high spiritual experience came to David before he attained the age of thirty. Yes, that is why his hymns are still alive after nearly four thousand years.

Don't look at the problems and circumstances of our wilderness life. Tell God our problems and don't cry. Let's look to God rather than the negative circumstances. He who anointed David as king will raise us up in the same way. He will make us spiritual kings who will conquer our problems and sins.
