 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳

📖 ஆதவன் வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண் 1875

🔆 2026 மார்ச் 27, வெள்ளி                 

"உங்களில் எவன் கூலியில்லாமல் கதவுகளைப் பூட்டுவான்; என் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் அக்கினியைக் கூலியில்லாமல் கொளுத்தவுமாட்டீர்கள்; உங்கள்பேரில் எனக்குப் பிரியமில்லையென்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; உங்கள் கைகளிலுள்ள காணிக்கை எனக்கு உகந்ததல்ல." ( மல்கியா 1: 10)

இஸ்ரவேலின் ஆசாரியர்கள் தேவனுக்கென்று பணிவிடை செய்தாலும் அதனை அவர்கள் மனப்பூர்வமாகச் செய்யவில்லை. ஆலயப்பணிகளை அவர்கள் ஒரு தொழிலாகச் செய்து வந்தனர். கோவிலைப் பராமரிப்பதற்கும், கோவிலில் பலி செலுத்துவதற்கும்  அவர்கள் மக்களிடம் பணம் பெற்று வந்தனர்.   

ஆனால் தேவன் அவர்களுக்கு அப்படிக் கட்டளையிடவில்லை. மாறாக, இஸ்ரவேலர் கர்த்தருக்கு அளிக்கும் காணிக்கைகளில் அவர்கள் தங்களுக்கான பங்கை எடுத்துக்கொள்ளலாம் என்றுதான் கூறியிருந்தார்.  "அதை நீங்களும் உங்கள் குடும்பத்தாரும் எவ்விடத்திலும் புசிக்கலாம்; அது நீங்கள் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்திலே செய்யும் பணிவிடைக்கு ஈடான உங்கள் சம்பளம்." ( எண்ணாகமம் 18: 31) என்று கூறியிருந்தார். 

மட்டுமல்ல, மற்ற கோத்திரங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்ததுபோல லேவியருக்கென்றுத்  தனி பங்கினைத் தேவன் கொடுக்காமல் தசமபாகத்தை லேவியருக்கென்று நியமித்திருந்தார். இதனை நாம், "இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் கர்த்தருக்கு ஏறெடுத்துப் படைக்கும் படைப்பாகிய தசமபாகத்தை லேவியருக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுத்தேன்; ஆகையால் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் நடுவே அவர்களுக்குச் சுதந்தரமில்லையென்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொன்னேன் என்றார்." ( எண்ணாகமம் 18: 24) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

ஆனால் இதனைமீறி லேவியர்கள் கோவில் கதவுகளைத் திறந்து மூடுவதற்கும் யாராவது பலி செலுத்தவரும்போது பலிபீடத்தில் நெருப்பைப் பற்றவைத்து அந்தப் பலிப்பொருட்களை தகனிப்பதற்கும் பணம் வாங்கினர்.  இதனையே இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில், "உங்களில் எவன் கூலியில்லாமல் கதவுகளைப் பூட்டுவான்; என் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் அக்கினியைக் கூலியில்லாமல் கொளுத்தவுமாட்டீர்கள்" என்று தேவன் கூறுகின்றார். 

சுருக்கமாகச் சொல்வதானால், தேவனுக்கான பணிவிடையினை அவர்கள் வருவாய் ஈட்டக்கூடிய ஒரு தொழிலாக மாற்றிவிட்டனர். எனவே, "உங்கள்பேரில் எனக்குப் பிரியமில்லையென்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; உங்கள் கைகளிலுள்ள காணிக்கை எனக்கு உகந்ததல்ல" என்கின்றார். 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் தேவனுக்கென்று எதனைச் செய்தாலும் அதன்மூலம் நமக்கு வருமானம் வருமா என்று எதிர்பார்ப்பதை தேவன் விரும்பவில்லை. தேவன்மேலுள்ள உண்மையான அன்புடன் செய்வதையே தேவன் விரும்புகின்றார். எனவேதான் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுலும், "உங்கள் காரியங்களெல்லாம் அன்போடே செய்யப்படக்கடவது." (1 கொரிந்தியர் 16: 14) என்று நமக்கு அறிவுறுத்துகின்றார்.  

இன்று ஆலயங்களுக்குகென்று நாம் செய்யும் காரியங்களை எந்த மனநிலையுடன் செய்கின்றோம் என்று எண்ணிப்பார்ப்போம்.  பணத்துக்காக நாம் செய்யாவிட்டாலும் புகழுக்காக, மற்றவர்களிடம் நல்மதிப்பைப் பெறவேண்டும் என்பதற்காக நாம் இப்படிச் செய்தாலும் நாமும் இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் குறிப்பிடப்படும் லேவியர்களைப் போன்றவர்களே. 

பணம், பெயர், புகழ் இவற்றுக்காக நாம் தேவனுக்கென்று  எதனைச் செய்தாலும் தேவன் அவற்றை அங்கீகரிப்பதில்லை. இதனையே இன்றைய தியான வசனம் மூலம்  உங்கள்பேரில் எனக்குப் பிரியமில்லையென்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.  மெய்யான தேவ அன்புடன் தேவனுக்கென்று நாம்  செயல்படும்போது மட்டுமே தேவன் நமது செயல்களை அங்கீகரிப்பார்.

📖AATHAVAN Bible Meditation – No. 1875

"Oh, that there were one among you who would shut the gates, that you might not uselessly kindle fire on My altar! I am not pleased with you," says the Lord of hosts, "nor will I accept an offering from your hands." (Malachi 1:10)

Though the priests of Israel performed ministry for God, they did not do so with a willing heart. They turned temple duties into a mere profession. They began demanding money from the people just to maintain the temple or to offer sacrifices.

However, God had not commanded them to act this way. Instead, He had already provided for them by allowing them to take a portion of the offerings presented by the Israelites. As it is written:

"You and your households may eat it anywhere, for it is your compensation in return for your service in the tent of meeting." (Numbers 18:31)

Furthermore, God did not give the Levites a land inheritance like the other tribes; instead, He designated the tithe for them. We read:

"For the tithe of the sons of Israel, which they offer as an offering to the Lord, I have given to the Levites for an inheritance; therefore, I have said concerning them, 'They shall have no inheritance among the sons of Israel.'" (Numbers 18:24)

Despite this provision, the Levites overstepped. They began charging fees just to open and shut the temple doors or to kindle the fire on the altar when someone came to sacrifice. This is why God laments in today’s verse: "Oh that there were one among you who would shut the gates, that you might not uselessly kindle fire on My altar!"

In short, they transformed divine service into a profit-making business. Consequently, the Lord of hosts declared: "I am not pleased with you... nor will I accept an offering from your hands."

Beloved, God does not desire us to look for personal gain in everything we do for Him. He seeks service rooted in genuine love. This is why the Apostle Paul instructs us:

"Let all that you do be done in love." (1 Corinthians 16:14)

Today, let us examine the mindset with which we serve in our churches. Even if we do not do it for money, if we serve for the sake of fame or to earn the high regard of others, we are no different from the Levites mentioned in this passage.

Whether it is for money, name, or fame—if these are our motives—God does not recognize our efforts. As today’s verse warns, the Lord of hosts is not pleased with such service. God accepts our actions only when they are carried out with true, godly love.
