📖 ஆதவன் வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண் 1874

🔆 2026 மார்ச் 26, வியாழன்                

"நித்தியஜீவனை அளிப்பேன் என்பதே அவர் நமக்குச் செய்த வாக்குத்தத்தம். உங்களை வஞ்சிக்கிறவர்களைக் குறித்து இவைகளை உங்களுக்கு எழுதியிருக்கிறேன்." (1 யோவான்  2 : 25, 26)

ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து அளித்த முக்கியமான வாக்குறுதி நித்திய ஜீவன் எனும் நிலைவாழ்வைப்பற்றியது. இந்த உலகம் நிலையற்றது, நமது உறவுகள், சொந்தங்கள், பெயர், புகழ், அதிகாரம் பணம் என அனைத்தும், நமது உலக வாழ்வும்  நிலையற்றவைகள். ஆனால், நமது ஆன்மா நிலையானது. அது வாழ்வுபெறவேண்டும். முடிவில்லாத காலமாக நமது ஆன்மா வாழ்ந்திருக்கவேண்டுமானால் நாம் கிறிஸ்துவோடு இணைக்கப்பட்டு அவர் அளிக்கும் நித்திய ஜீவனைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளவேண்டியது அவசியமாய் இருக்கின்றது. இல்லையானால் முடிவில்லா காலமும் அது நரக அக்கினிக்குள் நிம்மதியின்றித் தவிக்கவேண்டியதிருக்கும்.  

ஆனால் பெரும்பாலான கிறிஸ்தவ போதகர்கள் இதனைப்பற்றி போதிப்பதில்லை. இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை உலக ஆசீர்வாதத்துக்கான ஒருவராகவே அவர்கள் போதிக்கின்றனர்.  இப்படிப் போதிப்பவர்கள் வஞ்சகர்கள் என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. இதனையே, "உங்களை வஞ்சிக்கிறவர்களைக் குறித்து இவைகளை உங்களுக்கு எழுதியிருக்கிறேன்" என்று யோவான் குறிப்பிடுகின்றார்.

"இறத்தல்" என்பதனை கிறிஸ்தவம் பொதுவாக ஆத்தும அழிவோடு ஒப்பிட்டுக் கூறுகின்றது. நமது ஆத்துமா நரகப் படுகுழிக்குள் செல்வதே கிறிஸ்தவம் கூறும் மரணம்.  அதுபோல இந்த ஆத்தும மரணத்துக்குத் தப்பித்து வாழ்தலே நித்திய ஜீவனை அடைந்துகொள்வது; அல்லது மரணத்தை வெல்லுதல். இதனை இயேசு கிறிஸ்து உயிருடன் உலகினில் வாழும்போதே பலமுறை எடுத்துக்கூறினார். லாசருவின் சகோதரி மார்த்தாளோடு பேசும்போது "இயேசு அவளை நோக்கி: நானே உயிர்த்தெழுதலும் ஜீவனுமாயிருக்கிறேன், என்னை விசுவாசிக்கிறவன் மரித்தாலும் பிழைப்பான்; உயிரோடிருந்து என்னை விசுவாசிக்கிறவனெவனும் என்றென்றைக்கும் மரியாமலும் இருப்பான்; இதை விசுவாசிக்கிறாயா என்றார்." ( யோவான் 11: 25, 26)

யூதர்களுக்கும் அவர் இதனை எடுத்துச் சொன்னார். "ஒருவன் என் வார்த்தையைக் கைக்கொண்டால், அவன் என்றென்றைக்கும் மரணத்தைக் காண்பதில்லை என்று மெய்யாகவே மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்." ( யோவான் 8: 51) ஆனால் யூதர்களுக்கு இயேசு கூறிய ஆவிக்குரிய சத்தியம் புரியவில்லை. அவர்கள் வெறும் உலக கண்ணோட்டத்துடன் மரணத்தைப் பார்த்தனர். 

"அப்பொழுது யூதர்கள் அவரை நோக்கி: நீ பிசாசுபிடித்தவனென்று இப்பொழுது அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்; ஆபிரகாமும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளும் மரித்தார்கள். நீயோ: ஒருவன் என் வார்த்தையைக் கைக்கொண்டால் என்றென்றைக்கும் மரணத்தை ருசிபார்ப்பதில்லை என்கிறாய்." ( யோவான் 8: 52) என்றார்கள். 

இன்றும் பலரும் இந்த யூதர்களின் மனநிலையில்தான் இருக்கின்றனர். எனவே, இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவால் அற்புதங்களை செய்யமுடியும், தங்கள் நோய்களைக் குணமாக்கமுடியும், தங்களுக்கு உலக ஆசீர்வாதங்களைக் கொடுக்கமுடியும் என்று நம்பினாலும் அவர்களிடம் நாம் நித்தியஜீவனைப்பற்றி பேசும்போது ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதில்லை. அல்லது, அதுபற்றிய அக்கறையில்லாதவர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர். 

அன்பானவர்களே, வேதாகமம் இயேசுவின் அற்புதங்களை நாம் அறிந்து அவைகளைப் பெறவேண்டும் என்பதற்காக எழுதப்படவில்லை. மாறாக, அவரை நாம் விசுவாசித்து அவர்மூலம் நித்திய ஜீவனைப் பெறவேண்டும் என்பதற்காகவே எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஆம், "இயேசு தேவனுடைய குமாரனாகிய கிறிஸ்து என்று நீங்கள் விசுவாசிக்கும்படியாகவும், விசுவாசித்து அவருடைய நாமத்தினாலே நித்தியஜீவனை அடையும்படியாகவும், இவைகள் எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன." ( யோவான் 20: 31) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

அற்பகால உலக ஆசீர்வாதமும் ஆத்தும மரணமுமா? நித்தியத்துக்கும் ஆத்துமா அழிவில்லாமல் தேவனோடு ஐக்கியமாக வாழும் நித்திய ஜீவனா? இந்த இரு வழிகளையும் தேவன் நம்முன் வைத்துள்ளார். தேர்வுசெய்யவேண்டியது நாம்தான்.

AATHAVAN Bible Meditation — No. 1874

March 26, 2026, Thursday

"This is the promise which He Himself made to us: eternal life. These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you." (1 John 2:25-26)

The most significant promise offered by the Lord Jesus Christ concerns eternal life. This world is inherently unstable; our relationships, possessions, reputation, power, and wealth—even our very lives on earth—are temporary. However, our soul is eternal. For our soul to truly live for all eternity, it is essential that we are united with Christ and receive the eternal life He offers. Without this, the soul faces an eternity of unrest within the fires of hell.

Unfortunately, many modern preachers fail to teach this truth. Instead, they present Jesus Christ merely as a means to obtain worldly blessings. Today’s meditation verse warns that those who teach such things are deceivers. This is why John writes, "These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you."

In a Christian context, "death" is often equated with the destruction of the soul. True death is the soul descending into the abyss of hell. Conversely, escaping this spiritual death and living forever is what it means to attain eternal life or to "conquer death." Jesus emphasized these many times during His earthly ministry. While speaking to Martha, the sister of Lazarus, He said:

"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?'" (John 11:25-26)

He shared this same truth with the Jews, saying:

"Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word, he will never see death." (John 8:51)

However, the Jews did not grasp the spiritual truth Jesus was presenting. They viewed death through a purely worldly lens and responded:

"The Jews said to Him, 'Now we know that You have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets also; and You say, "If anyone keeps My word, he will never taste of death." (John 8:52)

Even today, many people share the mindset of those Jews. While they may believe that Jesus Christ can perform miracles, heal their diseases, and grant them worldly prosperity, they remain indifferent or resistant when spoken to about eternal life.

Beloved, the Bible was not written simply so we could learn about Jesus’ miracles to claim them for ourselves. Rather, it was written so that we might believe in Him and receive eternal life through Him. As we read:

"...but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name." (John 20:31)

The choice is before us: Will we choose fleeting worldly blessings followed by spiritual death? Or will we choose eternal life, where the soul lives in unending fellowship with God? He has set these two paths before us; the choice is ours to make.
