🦋 Meditation verse - உபாகமம் 8:3, மத்தேயு 4 : 4 & லூக்கா 4:4 / Deuteronomy 8:3; Matthew 4:4; Luke 4:4

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1634                                          ஆதவன் 29.07.2025 செவ்வாய்   

"மனுஷன் அப்பத்தினாலேமாத்திரமல்ல, தேவனுடைய வாயிலிருந்து புறப்படுகிற ஒவ்வொரு வார்த்தையினாலும் பிழைப்பான்..." ( உபாகமம் 8:3, மத்தேயு 4 : 4  & லூக்கா 4:4 )

மனிதர்கள் பலரும் இந்த உலகத்தின் செல்வங்கள் மட்டுமே தங்களுக்கு நிம்மதியான, மேலான ஒரு வாழ்க்கையினைக் கொடுக்கமுடியுமென்று எண்ணிக்கொண்டு வாழ்கின்றனர். ஆனால் உலகினில் நாம் பிழைப்பதற்கு உலக செல்வங்கள் மட்டும் போதாது அவற்றைவிட தேவனுடைய கிருபை நமக்கு மிகமிக அவசியம் என்பதனை இன்றைய தியான வசனம் நமக்கு எடுத்துக் கூறுகின்றது.  தேவன் கிருபையாய்  ஒரு வார்த்தைசொன்னால் நமது வாழ்க்கை முற்றிலும் மாறும்; வாழ்வடையும். ஆம், உலக செல்வங்களால் மட்டுமல்ல, தேவ கிருபை இருந்தால் மட்டுமே நாம் உலகினில் பிழைத்து  வாழ முடியும். 

மிகச் சமீபத்தில் எனது வாழ்வில் நடந்த ஒரு சம்பவம்:- ஒரு நபரை எனக்குத் தெரிந்த சகோதரர் ஒருவர் என்னிடம் அறிமுகப்படுத்தினார். அந்த நபர் வெளிநாடுகளில் வேலைசெய்து அதிக அளவில் பொருள் சம்பாதித்து திரும்பியவர். பல்வேறு இடங்களில் சொந்தமாக மனைவி பெயரிலும் தனது பெயரிலும் நிலங்கள் வாங்கிக் குவித்துள்ளார். வங்கியிலும் அதிக அளவு பணம் உண்டு. ஆனால் சமீபகாலமாக அவரது வீட்டில் ஒற்றுமையில்லாத பிரச்னை. 

இப்போது அவருடன் அவரது மனைவி பிள்ளைகள் பேசுவது கிடையாது. அவருக்கு உணவளிப்பதுகூடக்  கிடையாது. அவர் மூன்று வேளையும் ஹோட்டல்களில் சாப்பிட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றார். வாழ்வில் நிம்மதியில்லை. தற்கொலைசெய்து உயிரை மாய்த்துக்கொள்ள சிந்தனையுள்ளவராக இருக்கின்றார். "பிரதர், இவருக்காக ஜெபித்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்" என்று என்னிடம் அந்தச் சகோதரர் கூறினார். 

அவருக்காக ஜெபித்தபோது, ஒருவாரமாக எனக்குத் தேவன் எந்த பதிலும் அளிக்கவில்லை. ஆனால் ஒருநாள் காலை எட்டுமணியளவில் திடீரென்று இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தை தேவன் எனக்கு அளித்து, "இதுதான் அவனுக்கு நான் கூறும் பதில்" என்றார். "எனது வார்த்தைக்கு அவன் கீழ்ப்படிந்தால் அவனது வாழ்வு மாறும்" என்றார்.  பின்னர் விசாரித்தபோது தெரிந்தது அந்தச் சகோதரன் பணம், சொத்து சேர்க்கும் ஆசையில் இருந்தாரேத்தவிர மனைவி மக்களை நன்கு கவனிக்கவில்லை  என்பது. அவரிடம் தேவனது பதிலை எடுத்துக்கூறி, "நீங்கள் பணம் சொத்து சேர்ப்பதில் செலுத்தும் ஆர்வத்தை ஆண்டவரது வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்பதிலும் அவற்றுக்குக்  கீழ்ப்படிவதிலும் காட்டுங்கள், தேவன் உங்கள் நிலைமையை மாற்றுவார்" என்று கூறினேன்.  

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, அந்த நபரிடம் "அப்பம்" அதிகமாக இருக்கின்றது, ஆனால் தேவனுடைய வார்த்தை இல்லாததால் அவருக்குப் பிழைக்க வழியில்லாமலிருக்கின்றார்.  இதனையே தேவன் எனக்கு உணர்த்தினார். 

இதனையே  நாம் உபாகமம் நூலில் வாசிக்கின்றோம், "அவர் உன்னைச் சிறுமைப்படுத்தி, உன்னைப் பசியினால் வருத்தி, மனுஷன் அப்பத்தினால் மாத்திரம் அல்ல, கர்த்தருடைய வாயிலிருந்து புறப்படுகிற ஒவ்வொரு வார்த்தையினாலும் பிழைப்பான் என்பதை உனக்கு உணர்த்தும்படிக்கு ....." ( உபாகமம் 8 : 3 ) என்று. ஆம் சிலவேளைகளில் தேவன் நம்மைச் சிறுமைப்படுத்தி, பசியினால் வருந்துவது மனிதன் அப்பத்தினால் மாத்திரம் அல்ல, கர்த்தருடைய வாயிலிருந்து புறப்படுகிற ஒவ்வொரு வார்த்தையினாலும் பிழைப்பான் என்பதை நமக்கு  உணர்த்தும்படிக்காகவும் இருக்கலாம்.  

எனக்குத் தெரிந்த பல குடும்பங்களில் இத்தகைய நிலைமை இருப்பதை  அறிவேன். பணத்துக்கோ, சொத்துசுகங்களுக்கோ குறைவிருக்காது, ஆனால் குடும்ப சமாதானமில்லாத நிலைமை அதிகமாக காணப்படுகின்றது. இத்தகைய நிலைமை இருக்குமானால் அதற்குத் தேவன் தரும் தீர்வு இதுதான். பணம், சொத்து, இவற்றுக்குக் கொடுக்கும் முக்கியத்துவத்தை தேவனுக்குக் கொடுங்கள் என்பதே.  அன்பானவர்களே, அப்பத்தினால் மட்டுமல்ல தேவனது வார்த்தையினாலும்தான் நாம் பிழைக்க முடியும். தேவ வார்த்தைகளை நமக்குள் வாங்கி அவற்றுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து வாழ முயலுவோம். அப்படி வாழும்போது மட்டுமே பிரச்சனைகள் மாறமுடியும்; நாம் பிழைக்கமுடியும்; செழிக்கமுடியும்.

Scripture Meditation No. 1634
AATHAVAN – Tuesday, 29.07.2025

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord.” (Deuteronomy 8:3; Matthew 4:4; Luke 4:4)

Many people today live with the assumption that the wealth of this world alone can bring them peace and a prosperous life. But today’s meditation verse reminds us that worldly riches alone are not sufficient for survival—the grace of God is far more essential. When God speaks just one word in His mercy, it can completely transform our lives. Yes, we cannot live merely by the wealth of this world; only by God’s grace can we truly live and thrive.

Let me share a recent incident from my life:

A brother I know introduced me to a man who had returned from working abroad. He had earned a lot of money and had invested in several properties—some in his wife’s name and others in his own. He also had a large amount of money saved in the bank. But recently, his home had become a place of disunity and conflict.

He no longer has any communication with his wife or children. They do not even offer him meals. He now eats all three meals at restaurants. There is no peace in his life. He is even contemplating suicide. The brother who introduced him to me said, “Please pray for him.”

As I began praying for this man, for an entire week God remained silent. But one morning, at around 8 AM, God gave me today’s meditation verse and said, “This is My answer to him. If he obeys My Word, his life will be transformed.”

Later, I came to know that this man had been overly consumed with earning money and acquiring wealth, but had failed to care for his wife and children. I shared God’s message with him: “The same zeal you show for gathering wealth—if you would direct it toward listening to God’s Word and obeying it, the Lord will change your situation.”

Yes, beloved, that man has plenty of "bread", but because he lacks the Word of God, he has no way to truly live. This is the truth that God revealed to me.

This is exactly what we read in the book of Deuteronomy:
“And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna... that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.” (Deuteronomy 8:3 – KJV)

Yes, at times, God allows us to experience humbling and hunger to teach us this vital truth: we do not live by bread alone, but by His Word.

I know many families facing similar situations—plenty of wealth and property, but no peace in the home. If that is your condition too, God’s solution is this: Give God the place of highest importance, not money or possessions.

Beloved, we live not by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord. Let us receive God’s Word into our hearts and strive to live in obedience to it. Only then will our problems change. Only then can we live and prosper.
