🍒Meditation verse - 1 கொரிந்தியர் 6: 20 / 1 Corinthians 6:20

'ஆதவன்' 💚மே 19, 2025. 💚 திங்கள்கிழமை

"கிரயத்துக்குக் கொள்ளப்பட்டீர்களே; ஆகையால் தேவனுக்கு உடையவைகளாகிய உங்கள் சரீரத்தினாலும் உங்கள் ஆவியினாலும் தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்துங்கள்." (1 கொரிந்தியர் 6: 20)

இன்றைய தியான வசனம் நாம் விலைக்கு வாங்கப்பட்டவர்கள் என்று கூறுகின்றது. ஒருவருக்கு ஒன்றை விலைக்குக் கொடுத்துவிட்டோமானால் அது வாங்கியவருக்கே உரிமையாகிவிடுகின்றது. அதுபோல கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து நம்மைத் தனது விலையேறப்பெற்ற இரத்தத்தால் விலைகொடுத்து வாங்கியுள்ளார். எனவே நாம் தேவனுக்கு உடைமையானவர்கள். "ஆகையால் தேவனுக்கு உடையவைகளாகிய உங்கள் சரீரத்தினாலும் உங்கள் ஆவியினாலும் தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்துங்கள்" என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

நாம் கிறிஸ்துவால் விலைக்கு வாங்கப்பட்டவர்கள் ஆதலால் அவர் நமக்குள் வந்துவிட்டார். நாம் ஒரு வீட்டை விலைக்கு வாங்கிக் குடியேறுவதுபோல அவர் நமக்குள் குடியேறியுள்ளனர். எனவே, "உங்கள் சரீரமானது நீங்கள் தேவனாலே பெற்றும் உங்களில் தங்கியும் இருக்கிற பரிசுத்த ஆவியினுடைய ஆலயமாயிருக்கிறதென்றும், நீங்கள் உங்களுடையவர்களல்லவென்றும் அறியீர்களா?" (1 கொரிந்தியர் 6: 19) என்கின்றார் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல்.

மட்டுமல்ல, நமது உடலின் ஒவ்வொரு உறுப்பும் அவருக்கேச் சொந்தம். எனவே அவற்றை நாம் பரிசுத்தமாக காக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். "உங்கள் சரீரங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவின் அவயவங்களென்று அறியீர்களா? அப்படியிருக்க, நான் கிறிஸ்துவின் அவயவங்களை வேசியின் அவயவங்களாக்கலாமா? அப்படிச் செய்யலாகாதே." (1 கொரிந்தியர் 6: 15)

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவால் விலைக்கு வாங்கப்பட்டவர்கள். ஆகையால் தேவனுக்கு உடையவைகளாகிய நமது உடலைப் பரிசுத்தமாய்ப் பாதுகாப்பதிலும் ஆவியில் அனலுள்ளவர்களாக சிறப்பான நமது ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்க்கையாலும்  தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்தவேண்டும் என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. நாம் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குச் சொந்தமாகிவிட்டதால் பாவத்துக்கு அடிமையாகாமலும், மனிதர்களுக்கு அடிமையாகாமலும்  நம்மைக் காத்துக்கொள்வோம். 

நாம் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குச் சொந்தமாகிவிட்டதால் இனி எந்த மனிதருக்கும் நாம் அடிமைகள் ஆகக்கூடாது. இன்று பல கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் திரைப்பட நடிகர்களையும், நடிகைகளையும், பின்னணிப் பாடகர்களையும், நடனக் கலைஞர்களையும், விளையாட்டு வீரர்களையும்  தங்களது முன்னோடிகளாகக்கொண்டு அவர்களுக்குப்பின் அலைகின்றனர். பலர் தங்களுக்கேற்ற அரசியல் தலைவர்களைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு அவர்களுக்குப்பின் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர். மேலும் பரிதபிக்கக்கூடிய நிலையில் ஆவிக்குரிய கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்று தங்களைக் கூறிக்கொள்ளும் பலர் பிரபல ஊழியர்களுக்கு அடிமைகளாக இருக்கின்றனர். ஆனால் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துச் சொல்கின்றார், "நீங்கள் கிரயத்துக்குக் கொள்ளப்பட்டீர்கள்; மனுஷருக்கு அடிமைகளாகாதிருங்கள்." (1 கொரிந்தியர் 7: 23)

ஊழியர்களை மதிப்போம்; அவர்கள் சொல்வதைக் கேட்போம்; அதேநேரம் அவர்களுக்கு அடிமைகள் ஆகாதிருப்போம்.  நம்மைக் கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு முழுவதுமாக ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து வாழ்வோமானால் சத்திய ஆவியாகிய தேற்றரவாளனே நம்மை எந்த போதகரும் ஊழியரும் நடத்துவத்தைக் காட்டிலும் மேலாகச் சிறப்பாக  நடத்துவார். 

ஆம்,  "கிறிஸ்து ஒருவரே உங்களுக்குப் போதகராயிருக்கிறார்" (மத்தேயு 23:8)

கிறிஸ்து ஒருவரே உங்களுக்குக் குருவாயிருக்கிறார். (மத்தேயு 23:10)

கிறிஸ்துவால் விலைக்கு வாங்கப்பட்டவர்கள் நாம்; ஆகையால் தேவனுக்கு உடையவைகளாகிய நமது சரீரத்தினாலும்  ஆவியினாலும் தேவனை மட்டுமே மகிமைப்படுத்தி வாழ்வோம்.

Scripture Meditation – No: 1,563
AATHAVAN 💚 May 19, 2025 – Monday

"For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." (1 Corinthians 6:20 – KJV)

Today's meditation verse clearly declares that we are "bought with a price." When someone purchases something by paying a price, it becomes the rightful possession of the buyer. In the same way, our Lord Jesus Christ has purchased us with His own precious blood. Therefore, we now belong to God. Hence, the verse exhorts us: “glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.”

Since we have been bought by Christ, He now dwells within us. Just as a person who buys a house moves in and resides there, Christ has taken up residence in us. Therefore, Apostle Paul says:

"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?" (1 Corinthians 6:19 – KJV)

Not only that, but every part of our body now belongs to Him. Therefore, it is essential that we keep our bodies holy. Paul further reminds us:

"Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid." (1 Corinthians 6:15 – KJV)

Yes, beloved, since we have been bought by our Lord Jesus Christ, we must glorify God through our bodies by preserving them in holiness and glorify Him through our spirits by living a fervent spiritual life. This is the call of today's meditation.

Now that we belong to Christ, let us not become slaves to sin or to men.

Many Christians today follow film actors and actresses, playback singers, dancers, and athletes as their role models. Others chase after political leaders whom they favour. Sadly, even many who call themselves spiritual Christians have become enslaved to popular preachers and ministries. But the Lord Jesus Christ warns:

"Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men." (1 Corinthians 7:23 – KJV)

Let us respect servants of God and heed their words—but never become slaves to them. When we wholly surrender ourselves to Christ, the Holy Spirit—the Spirit of Truth—will guide us far better than any preacher or servant of God.

Yes, "For one is your Master, even Christ." (Matthew 23:8 – KJV)

We have been bought with a price by Christ. Therefore, let us glorify God alone through our bodies and our spirits, which are His.
