 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,516   

'ஆதவன்' 💚ஏப்ரல் 01, 2025. 💚செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை

"நான் பிரதானமாய்ச் சொல்லுகிற புத்தியென்னவெனில், எல்லா மனுஷருக்காகவும் விண்ணப்பங்களையும் ஜெபங்களையும் வேண்டுதல்களையும் ஸ்தோத்திரங்களையும்பண்ணவேண்டும்" (1 தீமோத்தேயு 2: 1)

ஆவிக்குரிய மனிதர்கள் என்று நம்மை நாம் கூறிக்கொள்ளவேண்டுமானால் நமக்காக, நமது குடும்பத்து உறுப்பினர்களுக்காக மட்டும் ஜெபிக்கும் குணம் மாறி நாம் மற்றவர்களுக்காக ஜெபிக்கும் குணம் உள்ளவர்களாக மாறவேண்டியது அவசியமானதாகும். உலக மனிதர்கள் மற்றவர்கள்மேல் வஞ்சகம், பொறாமை, எரிச்சல்  போன்ற அவலட்சண குணங்களுள்ளவர்களாகவே இருப்பார்கள். ஆனால் தேவன் நமக்குள் வந்து செயல்படும்போது இந்தக்குணங்கள் நம்மைவிட்டு மாறுகின்றது. நாம் எல்லோரையும் நேசிப்பதால் எல்லோருக்காகவும் ஜெபிக்கின்றவர்களாக மாறிவிடுவோம்.

லோத்து ஆபிரகாமைவிட்டுப் பிரிந்து சென்றபோது நல்ல செழிப்பான நீர்வளமிக்க நிலப்பரப்பைத் தனக்கென்று தெரிந்துகொண்டார். ஆனால் ஆபிரகாம் அதற்காக அவர்மேல் வெறுப்புக் கொண்டவராக இருக்கவில்லை. அவர் தேவனையே சார்ந்துகொண்டார். லோத்து வசிக்கும் பகுதிக்கு தேவனால் அழிவு வருகின்றது எனத் தெரிந்தபோது அவர் லோத்துவுக்காகப் போராடி  ஜெபித்தார். இதனை நாம் ஆதியாகமம் 18:23-33 வசனங்களில் வாசிக்கலாம். தேவன் ஆபிரகாமின் ஜெபத்தை அங்கீகரித்து லோத்தை அழிவிலிருந்து காப்பாற்றினார். 

இதனை நாம், "தேவன் அந்தச் சமபூமியின் பட்டணங்களை அழிக்கும்போது,  ஆபிரகாமை நினைத்து, லோத்து குடியிருந்த பட்டணங்களைத் தாம் கவிழ்த்துப்போடுகையில், லோத்தை அந்த அழிவின் நடுவிலிருந்து தப்பிப்போகும்படி அனுப்பிவிட்டார்." ( ஆதியாகமம் 19: 29) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

இதுபோல அனைவருக்காகவும் குறிப்பாக நம்மை ஆளும் தலைவர்களுக்காகவும் நாம் ஜெபிக்கவேண்டுமென்று நமக்கு அறிவுரை கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. நாம் விரும்பும் கட்சியின் தலைவருக்கு மட்டுமல்ல, மாறாக நம்மை ஆளும் தலைவர் எந்தக் கட்சியினைச் சார்ந்தவராக இருந்தாலும் நாம் அவர்களுக்காக ஜெபிக்கவேண்டும். "நாம் எல்லாப் பக்தியோடும் நல்லொழுக்கத்தோடும் கலகமில்லாமல் அமைதலுள்ள ஜீவனம்பண்ணும்படிக்கு, ராஜாக்களுக்காகவும், அதிகாரமுள்ள யாவருக்காகவும் அப்படியே செய்யவேண்டும்." (1 தீமோத்தேயு 2: 2)

மேலும், நம்மை வருத்தும் சில நோய்களுக்கும் மற்றவர்களுக்காக ஜெபிப்பது மருந்தாக இருக்கின்றது. இதனையே அப்போஸ்தலரான யாக்கோபு, "நீங்கள் சொஸ்தமடையும்படிக்கு, உங்கள் குற்றங்களை ஒருவருக்கொருவர் அறிக்கையிட்டு, ஒருவருக்காக ஒருவர் ஜெபம்பண்ணுங்கள். நீதிமான் செய்யும் ஊக்கமான வேண்டுதல் மிகவும் பெலனுள்ளதாயிருக்கிறது." ( யாக்கோபு 5: 16) என்று கூறுகின்றார். நாம் குணமடையவேண்டுமானால் நமது குற்றங்களை அறிக்கையிட்டு ஜெபிக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். 

வேதாகமம் கூறும் இந்த அறிவுரை விஞ்ஞானபூர்வமானது என்று மருத்துவ உலகமும் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டுள்ளது. மற்றவர்கள்மேல் நாம் கொள்ளும் வெறுப்புணர்ச்சி நமது உடலில் தேவையற்ற ரசாயன மாற்றங்களை ஏற்படுத்தி நம்மில் பல்வேறு நோய்களை உருவாக்குகின்றது என்கின்றனர் விஞ்ஞானிகள். நாம் வெறுப்பை மாற்றி அவர்களுக்காக ஜெபிக்கும்போது நமது நோயும் குணமாகின்றது. 

எனவே நமக்காக மட்டும் ஜெபிக்கும் குறுகிய மனப்பான்மையினை விட்டு எல்லா மனுஷருக்காகவும் விண்ணப்பங்களையும் ஜெபங்களையும் வேண்டுதல்களையும் ஸ்தோத்திரங்களையும்பண்ணப் பழகுவோம். இத்தகைய ஜெபத்தின்மேல் தேவனும் பிரியமாக இருக்கின்றார்.

Scripture Meditation – No. 1,516

AATHAVAN 💚 April 01, 2025 💚 Tuesday

"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men." (1 Timothy 2:1, KJV)

If we are to call ourselves spiritual people, we must move beyond praying only for ourselves and our family members. Instead, we must develop a heart that intercedes for others. Worldly people often harbour ugly traits like deceit, envy, and bitterness toward others. But when God dwells and works within us, these traits fade away. Because we love everyone, we become intercessors who pray for all.

When Lot separated from Abraham, he chose the lush, well-watered plains for himself. Yet, Abraham did not resent him for it—he trusted in God. Later, when Abraham learned that God would bring judgment upon Sodom, where Lot lived, he pleaded for Lot’s deliverance (Genesis 18:23-33). God honoured Abraham’s prayer and rescued Lot from destruction.

As Scripture says: "And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when He overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt." (Genesis 19:29, KJV)

Likewise, we are exhorted to pray for all people, especially for those in authority. We should not pray only for leaders of our preferred political party but for all who govern us, regardless of their affiliation. "For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." (1 Timothy 2:2, KJV)

Moreover, praying for others can even bring healing to our own afflictions. The apostle James teaches:
"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James 5:16, KJV)
If we desire healing, we must confess our faults and pray earnestly.

This biblical wisdom is even scientifically validated. Medical research confirms that hatred and bitterness trigger harmful chemical changes in the body, leading to various illnesses. But when we replace hatred with intercessory prayer, our own ailments are healed.

Therefore, let us abandon a self-centered prayer life and instead cultivate a habit of praying for all people—with supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings. Such prayers are pleasing to God.
