உபத்திரவங்களில் பொறுமை / PATIENCE IN TRIBULATION

ஆதவன் 🔥 946🌻 ஆகஸ்ட் 31, 2023 வியாழக்கிழமை

"உபத்திரவம் பொறுமையையும், பொறுமை பரீட்சையையும், பரீட்சை நம்பிக்கையையும் உண்டாக்குகிறதென்று நாங்கள் அறிந்து, உபத்திரவங்களிலேயும் மேன்மைபாராட்டுகிறோம்." ( ரோமர் 5 : 3, 4 )

இந்த உலகத்தில் பாடுகளும் துன்பங்களும் பிரச்சனைகளும் எல்லோருக்கும் பொதுவானவை. ஆனால் நாம் துன்பங்களைக்கண்டு அஞ்சி ஓடினாலோ அல்லது தேவனைவிட்டு பின்மாறினாலோ நாம் நமது இலக்கை அடைய முடியாது. இதனை வலியறுத்தவே பவுல் அப்போஸ்தலர் இதனை எழுதுகின்றார்.

எவ்வளவோ ஜெபித்தாலும் கஷ்டங்கள் மாறவில்லை, துன்பங்கள் தொடருகின்றன எனச் சிலர் விரக்தி அடைகின்றனர். வேறு சிலரோ, "எல்லாம் கட்டுக்கதை....கடவுளை நம்பாதவர்களும் ஜெபிக்காதவர்களும் நன்றாக இருக்கின்றனர்; நாம் ஏன் இன்னும் கிறித்தவ விசுவாசத்தில் நிலைத்துருக்கவேண்டும்?" என வெறுத்துப்போய் கூறுகின்றனர்.  அல்லது, ஜெபிப்பதால் எந்த பிரயோஜனமும் இல்லை, நடப்பது நடந்தே தீரும் என போலி வேதாந்தம் பேசிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர். 

ஆனால் பவுல் அப்போஸ்தலர், நமது வாழ்வில் வரும் உபத்திரவங்கள் நமது பொறுமையை வளர்க்க உதவுகின்றது என்கின்றார். அது நமது விசுவாசத்தைச் சோதிக்க தேவன் வைக்கும் சோதனை, அதாவது பரீட்சை என்று கூறுகின்றார். எனவேதான் நாம் சோதனைகளை முறுமுறுப்பில்லாமல் சகிக்கும்போது அந்தப் பொறுமை பரீட்சையையும், அந்தப்  பரீட்சை நம்பிக்கையையும் உண்டாக்குகிறதென்று நாங்கள் அறிந்து, அப்படி உபாத்திரவங்களில்  மேன்மைபாராட்டுகிறோம் என்கின்றார். 

தொடர்ந்து எழுதும் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் அடுத்த வசனத்தில், நாம் ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வு வாழும்போது, பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரின் அபிஷேகத்தை பெற்றிருப்பதால்  பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரே நம்மை நடத்துவார். அவர்மூலம் தேவ அன்பு நம்முடைய இருதயங்களில் நிரம்பியிருக்கும். எனவே நாம் நம்பிக்கையோடு இருக்கலாம். அந்த நம்பிக்கை நம்மை வெட்கப்படவிடாது. தேவன் நிச்சயமாக நம்மை விடுவிப்பார் என்கின்றார். இதனையே,  "மேலும் நமக்கு அருளப்பட்ட பரிசுத்த ஆவியினாலே தேவ அன்பு நம்முடைய இருதயங்களில் ஊற்றப்பட்டிருக்கிறபடியால், அந்த நம்பிக்கை நம்மை வெட்கப்படுத்தாது." ( ரோமர் 5 : 5 ) என்கின்றார். 

அதாவது, நாம் தேவனுக்கு ஏற்புடையவர்களாக வாழும்போதும் துன்பங்கள் சோதனைகள் வருகின்றன என்றால், இந்தத் தேர்வின்மூலம்  தேவன் நமக்கு ஏதோ நல்லது செய்யபோகின்றார் என்று உறுதியுடன் அமர்ந்திருந்து அப்படி உபாத்திரவங்களில்  மேன்மைபாராட்டுகிறோம் என்கின்றார். 

அப்போஸ்தலரான யாக்கோபும், "இதோ, பொறுமையா யிருக்கிறவர்களைப் பாக்கியவான்களென்கிறோமே! யோபின் பொறுமையைக்குறித்துக் கேள்விப்பட்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்; கர்த்தருடைய செயலின் முடிவையும் கண்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்; கர்த்தர் மிகுந்த உருக்கமும் இரக்கமுமுள்ளவராயிருக்கிறாரே." ( யாக்கோபு 5 : 11 ) என யோபு அடைந்த துன்பங்களையும் தேவன் இறுதியில் அவரை துன்பங்களிலிருந்து விடுவித்து ஆசீர்வதித்ததையும் நமக்கு நினைவூட்டி துன்பகளில்  பொறுமையாக இருக்கவேண்டியதன் அவசியத்தை வலியுறுத்துகின்றார். 

அன்பானவர்களே, இவை கடினமான செயலாக இருந்தாலும் நாம் துவண்டுவிடவேண்டாம். துன்பங்களில் ஜெபிக்க இயலாவிட்டாலும் தேவனை முறுமுறுக்காமல் அமைதியாக இருப்போம். அதுவே விசுவாசம்தான். "நீங்கள் கோபங்கொண்டாலும், பாவஞ் செய்யாதிருங்கள்; உங்கள் படுக்கையிலே உங்கள் இருதயத்தில் பேசிக்கொண்டு அமர்ந்திருங்கள்" ( சங்கீதம் 4 : 4 )

              PATIENCE IN TRIBULATION

"But we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope" ( Romans 5 : 3, 4 )

Suffering, tribulations, and problems are common to everyone in this world. But if we run away from suffering or turn away from God, we cannot reach our goal. The Apostle Paul writes today’s verses to emphasize this fact.

Some people get frustrated because no matter how much they pray, the difficulties do not change and the sufferings continue. Others say, "It's all a myth.... Those who do not believe in God and do not pray are fine; why should we persist in the Christian faith?" they say in disgust. Or, they are talking about fake theology saying that there is no use in praying and what happens will happen in our life.

But the apostle Paul says that tribulations in our lives help us to develop patience. He says that it is a test that God puts to test our faith. That is why when we endure trials without grumbling, we know that patience produces a test and that test produces faith, and we glorify such trials.

The apostle Paul continues in the next verse, when we live a spiritual life, the Holy Spirit will guide us because we have the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Through Him God's love fills our hearts. So, we can be confident. That faith does not make us ashamed. God will surely deliver us. "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." ( Romans 5 : 5 ) he says.

In other words, if trials and tribulations come even when we are living in accordance with God, then we sit with the conviction that God is going to do something good for us through this test, and we glorify such trials.

The apostle James also said, “Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.” (James 5: 11) He reminds us of the sufferings that Job suffered and that God ultimately blessed him by freeing him from sufferings and emphasizing the need to be patient in sufferings.

Beloved, even though this is a difficult process, we must not give up. Even if we cannot pray in times of suffering, let us remain calm without grumbling to God. That is faith. "Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still." (Psalms 4: 4)
