உலக ஞானம் / WORLDLY WISDOM

 'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,019,             நவம்பர் 12, 2023 ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை

"நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் தேவனும் மகிமையின் பிதாவுமானவர் தம்மை நீங்கள் அறிந்துகொள்வதற்கான ஞானத்தையும் தெளிவையும் அளிக்கிற ஆவியை உங்களுக்குத் தந்தருளவேண்டுமென்றும்....." ( எபேசியர் 1 : 17 )

ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்விலும் உலக வாழ்விலும் நாம் சிறப்புற விளங்கவேண்டுமென்றால் நமக்கு தேவனை அறியக்கூடிய ஞானம் அவசியம். இந்த ஞானம் இல்லாமல் நாம் வெறுமனே உலக ஞானத்தையே முன்னுரிமை கொடுத்துத் தேடிக்கொண்டிருப்போமானால் நமது வாழ்க்கை பரிதபிக்கக்கூடிய ஒன்றாகவே மாறிவிடும். இதனாலேயே அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் தேவனும் மகிமையின் பிதாவுமானவர் தம்மை நீங்கள் அறிந்துகொள்வதற்கான ஞானத்தையும் தெளிவையும் அளிக்கிற ஆவியை உங்களுக்குத் தந்தருளவேண்டுமென்று" வேண்டுகின்றார். 

உலக ஞானத்தையே விரும்பி அதனால் தேவனையும் தனது நாட்டையும் கெடுத்த ஒரு மனிதன்தான் சாலமோன். தேவன் அவனுக்குத் தரிசனமாகி உனக்கு என்னவேண்டும் என்று கேள் என்று கூறியபோது சாலமோன், "உமது ஜனங்களை நியாயம் விசாரிக்கவும், நன்மை தீமை இன்னதென்று வகையறுக்கவும், அடியேனுக்கு ஞானமுள்ள இருதயத்தைத் தந்தருளும்; ஏராளமாயிருக்கிற இந்த உமது ஜனங்களை நியாயம் விசாரிக்க யாராலே ஆகும் என்றான்.'( 1 இராஜாக்கள் 3 : 9 )

சாலமோன் தேவனிடம் கேட்டது முழுக்க முழுக்க உலக ஆசீர்வாதத்தை முன்னிறுத்தி வேண்டிய உலக ஞானம். ஆனால் தேவன் அதனை விரும்பினார் என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. தேவன் இப்படிக் கேட்டதை தேவன் பாராட்டினார். தேவன் சாலமோனுக்கு இரண்டுமுறை தரிசனமானார். அவன் 3000 நீதிமொழிகளைச் சொன்னான். ஆனாலும் அன்பானவர்களே, அவன் தேவ ஞானத்தைப் பெறாமலேயே போனான். 

காரணம், அவனது பெண்ணாசை. அவனுக்கு 300 மனைவிகளும் 700 மறு மனைவிகளும் இருந்தனர். ( 1 இராஜாக்கள் 11 : 3 ). அனைவரும் தேவன் விலகிய பிற இனத்துப் பெண்கள்.  அவர்கள் அவனது மனதை மாற்றிப் பிற தெய்வங்களை வணங்கச்செய்தனர். "சாலொமோன் தன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதைப்போல கர்த்தரைப் பூரணமாய்ப் பின்பற்றாமல், கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்." ( 1 இராஜாக்கள் 11 : 6 )

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, தேவனைப் பற்றி  அறியும்போது மட்டுமே ஒருவன் பாவத்துக்கு விலகி வாழ முடியும். இரண்டுமுறை தேவன் அவனுக்குத் தரிசனமானபின்னரும் சாலமோன் தேவனைப் பற்றி அறிந்திருந்தானேத்   தவிர தேவனைச் சரியாக  அறியவில்லை. தேவனை அறிந்திருப்பானேயானால்  அவன் பிற தெய்வங்களை நாடிப்போயிருக்கமாட்டான். ஆம், அவனுக்குத் தேவனை அறியும் ஞானம் இல்லை; அதனை அவன் கேட்கவுமில்லை.

"ஆகையால் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் சாலொமோனுக்கு இரண்டு விசை தரிசனமாகி, அந்நிய தேவர்களைப் பின்பற்ற வேண்டாம் என்று கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தும், அவன் கர்த்தரை விட்டுத் தன் இருதயத்தைத் திருப்பி, அவர் கற்பித்ததைக் கைக்கொள்ளாமற்போனதினால் கர்த்தர் அவன்மேல் கோபமானார்."( 1 இராஜாக்கள் 11 : 9,10 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். முதலில் சாலமோன் ஞானத்தைக் கேட்டபோது மகிழ்ச்சியடைந்த கர்த்தர் இப்போது அவன்மேல் கோபமானார் என்று கூப்பட்டுள்ளது. மட்டுமல்ல, இஸ்ரவேல் நாட்டையே இரண்டு கூறாக்கிப்போட்டார் தேவன்.  

அன்பானவர்களே, எனவே நாம் கவனமாக இருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். தேவனை அறியும்  ஞானத்தையும்  தெளிவை அளிக்கின்ற ஆவியையும் நாம் தேவனிடம் கேட்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். இதனாலேயே இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் நமக்கு இந்த அறிவுரையினைக் கூறுகின்றார். தேவ ஞானம் வரும்போது நாம் உலக காரிங்களிலும் ஞானத்துடன் நடக்க முடியும். இல்லையானால் உலக ஞானத்தையே தேடிய சாலமோனின் நிலைமையே  நமக்கும்  ஏற்படும்.

                                    WORLDLY WISDOM

'AATHAVAN' BIBLE MEDITATION No: - 1,019,                          Sunday, November 12, 2023

"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:" (Ephesians 1: 17)

If we want to excel in spiritual life and worldly life, we need wisdom to know God. Without this wisdom, if we are simply seeking worldly wisdom as a priority, our lives will turn out to be miserable. This is why the Apostle Paul prays that, “God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him”

Solomon was an example man who wanted worldly wisdom and thus spoiled his life and his country. When God appeared to him and told him to ask what you want, Solomon said, "Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?" (1 Kings 3: 9)

What Solomon asked of God was worldly wisdom that should presuppose worldly blessing. But it is said that God willed it. God appreciated him when God heard this. God appeared to Solomon twice. With his wisdom he spoke 3000 proverbs. But dear ones, he left without attaining divine wisdom.

The reason is his womanizing. He had 300 wives and 700 concubines. (1 Kings 11:3). All are strange women forbidden by God, who made him turn away from God. They changed his mind and made him worship other gods. "And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.' (1 Kings 11: 6)

Yes, dear ones, one can live away from sin only when he knows  God. Even after God appeared to him twice, Solomon knew about God but did not know God. If he had known God, he would not have sought other gods. Yes, he has no wisdom to know God; He did not also sought it.

"And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice, and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded." (1 Kings 11: 9,10) It was said that God, who was pleased when Solomon heard wisdom at first, is now angry with him. Not only that, God divided the nation of Israel into two nations.

Beloved, therefore we must be careful. We need to ask God for the wisdom to know God and the Spirit that gives clarity. This is why the apostle Paul gives us this advice in today's meditation verse. When divine wisdom comes, we can walk with wisdom in worldly affairs also. If not, we will be in the same situation as Solomon who sought worldly wisdom alone.
