'ஆதவன்' வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,011, நவம்பர் 04, 2023 சனிக்கிழமை

"அதெப்படியென்றால், மாம்சத்தின்படி பிள்ளைகளானவர்கள் தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளல்ல, வாக்குத்தத்தத்தின்படி பிள்ளைகளானவர்களே அந்தச் சந்ததி என்றெண்ணப்படுகிறார்கள்." ( ரோமர் 9 : 8 )

ஆபிரகாமின் மகன் இஸ்மவேல் மற்றும் ஈசாக்கினைக்கொண்டு அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் இன்றைய தியானத்தில் முக்கியமான வேத உண்மையினை விளக்குகின்றார். 

ஆபிரகாமுக்குத் தேவன் ஒரு மகனை வாக்களித்திருந்தாலும் அவருக்குத் தேவன் வாக்களித்தபடி உடனேயே   குழந்தை பிறக்காததால் அவர் மனைவி சாராள் தனது அடிமைப்பெண் ஆகாரை அவருக்கு மறுமனைவி ஆக்குகின்றாள். அவள் மூலமாவது ஒரு குழந்தை பிறக்கட்டும் என்று எண்ணுகின்றாள். ஆபிரகாமும் அதற்குச் சம்மதிக்கின்றான். அப்படி ஆபிரகாம் ஆகார் மூலம் இஸ்மவேலைப் பெற்றபோது 86 வயதுள்ளவனாக இருந்தார். (ஆதியாகமம் 16;16)

எவ்வளவு பெரிய தீர்க்கதரிசியாக இருந்தாலும் மனிதன்தானே. ஆபிரகாம் இந்த வாரிசு விஷயத்தில் தவறி தேவ சித்தத்துக்கு முரணாகச் செயல்பட்டுவிட்டார். 75 வயதில் ஒரு மகனைத் தேவன் வாக்களித்து அவர் ஏறக்குறைய 10 ஆண்டுகள் காத்திருந்து பின்னர் இந்த முடிவுக்கு வந்தார். ஆனாலும் "ஆபிராம் தொண்ணூற்றொன்பது வயதானபோது, கர்த்தர் ஆபிராமுக்குத் தரிசனமாகி: நான் சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள தேவன்; நீ எனக்கு முன்பாக நடந்துகொண்டு உத்தமனாயிரு. நான் உனக்கும் எனக்கும் நடுவாக என் உடன்படிக்கையை ஏற்படுத்தி, உன்னை மிகவும் திரளாய்ப் பெருகப்பண்ணுவேன் என்றார்." ( ஆதியாகமம் 17 : 1, 2 )

அதன் பின்னர் அவருக்கு ஏறக்குறைய 100 வயதானபோது வாக்குத்தத்தத்தின் மகன் ஈசாக்குப் பிறக்கின்றான். முதலில் பிறந்த இஸ்மவேல் மனித விருப்பத்தின்படிப் பிறந்தவன். பின்னால் பிறந்த ஈசாக்கோ தேவனது வாக்குத்தத்தத்தின்படிப் பிறந்தவன். தேவன் அப்போதே அவர்களை வேறுபிரிக்கத் திட்டம்கொண்டார். எனவே சாராள் மனத்தைத் தூண்டி ஆகாரையும் அவள் மகன் இஸ்மவேலையும் பிரித்து விடுகின்றார்.  சாராள் "ஆபிரகாமை நோக்கி: இந்த அடிமைப்பெண்ணையும் அவள் மகனையும் புறம்பே தள்ளும்; இந்த அடிமைப்பெண்ணின் மகன் என் குமாரனாகிய ஈசாக்கோடே சுதந்திரவாளியாயிருப்பதில்லை என்றாள்." ( ஆதியாகமம் 21 : 10 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

ஆனால் அபிரகாமுக்குத் தன் மகனையும் மறு மனைவியையும் பிரிய வருத்தமாகத்தான் இருந்திருக்கும்.  "அப்பொழுது தேவன் ஆபிரகாமை நோக்கி: அந்தப் பிள்ளையையும், உன் அடிமைப்பெண்ணையும் குறித்துச் சொல்லப்பட்டது உனக்குத் துக்கமாயிருக்க வேண்டாம்; ஈசாக்கினிடத்தில் உன் சந்ததி விளங்கும்; ஆதலால் சாராள் உனக்குச் சொல்வதெல்லாவற்றையும் கேள்." ( ஆதியாகமம் 21 : 12 )என்றார். 

வாக்குத்தத்தத்தின்படி பிறந்தவனே தேவ தயவு பெற்றவன். அப்படியே, "ஆபிரகாம் அதிகாலையில் எழுந்து, அப்பத்தையும் ஒரு துருத்தி தண்ணீரையும் எடுத்து, ஆகாருடைய தோளின்மேல் வைத்துப் பிள்ளையையும் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து, அவளை அனுப்பிவிட்டான்; அவள் புறப்பட்டுப்போய், பெயர்செபாவின் வனாந்தரத்திலே அலைந்து திரிந்தாள்." ( ஆதியாகமம் 21 : 14 )

அன்பானவர்களே, இந்தச் சம்பவத்தையே அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் விளக்குகின்றார். அதெப்படியென்றால், மாம்சத்தின்படி பிள்ளைகளானவர்கள் தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளல்ல என்கின்றார். அதாவது நாம் ஒரு கிறிஸ்தவ பெற்றோருக்குப் பிள்ளைகளாகப் பிறந்துவிட்டதால் நாம் கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு உரிமையானவர்களாகி விடுவதில்லை.  வாக்குத்தத்தத்தின்படி பிள்ளைகளானவர்களே அந்தச் சந்ததி என்றெண்ணப்படுகிறார்கள். அதாவது முதலில் நாம்  கிறிஸ்துவின் வாக்குத்தத்தங்களுக்கு உரிமையானவர்களாக வேண்டும். அவரது இரத்தத்தால் கழுவப்படும் மீட்பு அனுபவத்தைப் பெறவேண்டும். 

"அவர்கள் ஆபிரகாமின் சந்ததியாரானாலும் எல்லாரும் பிள்ளைகளல்லவே; ஈசாக்கினிடத்தில் உன் சந்ததி விளங்கும் என்று சொல்லியிருக்கிறதே." ( ரோமர் 9 : 7 ) அதாவது பெயரளவில் எல்லோருமே கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்று கூறப்பட்டாலும் எல்லோரும் கிறிஸ்தவர்களல்ல; ஈசாக்கைபோல கிறிஸ்துவின் வாக்குத்தத்தங்களுக்கு உரிமையானவர்களே கிறிஸ்தவர்கள்.  ஆம், வாக்குத்தத்தத்தின்படி பிள்ளைகளானவர்களே அந்தச் சந்ததி என்றெண்ணப்படுகிறார்கள். என்கின்றார் பவுல்.

ஆழமான இறையியல் உண்மையான இந்தச் சத்தியம் நாம் ஆவிக்குரிய மறுபிறப்பு அடையும்போதே முற்றிலுமாகப் புரியும். அந்த அனுபவத்தை நாம் பெறுவதற்கு முயலவேண்டும். வெறுமனே ஆராதனைக் கிறிஸ்தவர்களாக வாழ்ந்துகொண்டிருப்போமானால் நாம் இன்னும் இஸ்மாயிலைப்போல மாம்சத்தின்படி பிள்ளைகளானவர்களாகவே இருப்போம்; அப்போது நாம்  தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளல்ல, நாம் கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் என்று கூறிக்கொண்டாலும் கிறிஸ்துவின் பார்வையில் நாம் கிறிஸ்தவர்களல்ல.  கிறிஸ்துவின் வாக்குத்தத்தங்களுக்கு உரிமையானவர்களே கிறிஸ்தவர்கள்.  ஆம் அப்படி உரிமை வாழ்வைப் பெறுவதற்கு நம் பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு நம்மை ஒப்படைக்க வேண்டியதே நாம் செய்ய வேண்டியது.

"That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed." (Romans 9: 8)

Apostle Paul explains an important scriptural truth in today's meditation with Abraham's son Ishmael and Isaac.

Although God had promised Abraham a son, his wife Sarah made her slave girl Hagar his second wife because he did not have a child as promised by God. She thinks that at least one child will be born through her. Abraham also agrees to it. Abraham was 86 years old when he fathered Ishmael through Hagar. (Genesis 16:16)

No matter how great a prophet is, he is only human. Abraham failed in this matter of inheritance and acted contrary to God's will. God promised a son at the age of 75 and he waited for almost 10 years before coming to this conclusion. Yet "when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly." (Genesis 17: 1,2)

After that, when he was about 100 years old, the son of promise, Isaac, was born. The first-born Ishmael was born according to human will. Isaac, who was born later, was born according to God's promise. God planned to separate them right then and there. So, Sarah tempts and separates Hagar and her son Ishmael. And Sarah said unto Abraham, "Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac." (Genesis 21: 10) we read.

But it must have been sad for Abraham to part with his son and second wife. "And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called." (Genesis 21: 12)

He who is born according to the promise is favored by God. Thus, "And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba." (Genesis 21: 14)

Beloved, this is what the Apostle Paul explains in today's meditation verse. That is to say, those who are children according to the flesh are not children of God. That is, just because we are born as children of Christian parents does not make us rightful to Christ. Those who are children according to the promise are counted as that seed. That is, first we must be entitled to the promises of Christ. To experience the redemption of being washed by His blood.

"Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called." (Romans 9: 7) That is, although nominally everyone is said to be a Christian, not everyone is a Christian; Christians, like Isaac, are entitled to the promises of Christ. Yes, those who are children according to the promise are counted as that seed. Paul said.

This profound theological truth becomes fully understood only when we are spiritually reborn. We should try to get that experience. If we simply live as worshipful Christians, we will still be children of the flesh like Ishmael; Then we are not God's children, even though we claim to be Christians, we are not Christians in the eyes of Christ. Christians are entitled to the promises of Christ. Yes, all we have to do is surrender ourselves to Christ to have our sins forgiven in order to have such a righteous life.
