Meditation verse - எசேக்கியேல் 22 : 30 / Ezekiel 22:30

"விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1697                                                                  ஆதவன் 30.09.2025 செவ்வாய்         

"நான் தேசத்தை அழிக்காதபடிக்குத் திறப்பிலே நிற்கவும் சுவரை அடைக்கவுந்தக்கதாக ஒரு மனுஷனைத் தேடினேன், ஒருவனையும் காணேன்." ( எசேக்கியேல் 22 : 30 )

நான் சிறுவனாக இருந்தபோது வீட்டிலிருந்து நண்பர்களூடன் பள்ளிக்கூடத்துக்கு நடந்து செல்வேன். எங்கள் வீட்டிலிருந்து பள்ளிக்குச் செல்லும் பாதை முழுவதும் புன்னை மரங்களும் முந்திரி மரங்களும் அடர்ந்து காடுபோலக் காட்சியளிக்கும். வழியில் சில தோட்டங்களும் இருக்கும். அவைகளில் மண் சுவரினால் வேலியடைந்திருப்பார்கள்.   அங்கு கொய்யா, மா, சப்போட்டா போன்ற மரங்களும் சிறிய காய்கறிச் செடிகொடிகளும் வளர்த்திருப்பார்கள். வேலி இருப்பதால் அவை பாதுகாப்பாக செழிப்பாகச் சோலைவனமாக  இருக்கும். 

ஒருமுறை பெரிய மழை பெய்தபோது ஒரு தோட்டத்தின்  வேலிச்சுவர் சில இடங்களில் தகர்ந்துபோய் ஆடுமாடுகள் நுழையக்கூடிய விதமாக மாறிவிட்டது. அந்தத்  தோட்ட உரிமையாளர் வெளியூர் சென்றிருந்ததால் பழுதுபட்ட வேலியை உடனே  சரிசெய்யவில்லை. எனவே,  இரண்டே நாட்களில்  மரங்கள் அனைத்தும் ஆடுமாடுகளுக்கு இரையாகி  அந்தத் தோட்டம் நாசமாகிப் போனது.  பின்னர் அந்த வேலியைச் சரிசெய்யும்வரை அங்குப்  பெரிய தடிக்கம்புடன் ஒரு மீசைக்காரக் காவல்காரர் நியமிக்கப்பட்டார். தோட்டம் மீண்டும் பாதுகாப்பானது. 

இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களை திராட்சைக்கொடியாக தேவன் எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து கொண்டுவந்து நாட்டினார். ஆனால் அவர்களது துன்மார்க்கச் செயல்களால் தேவன் அவர்களுக்கு அளித்த பாதுகாப்பு வேலியைத் தகர்த்துப்போட்டார். "இப்பொழுதோ வழிநடக்கிற யாவரும் அதைப் பறிக்கும்படியாக, அதின் அடைப்புகளை ஏன் தகர்த்துப்போட்டீர்? காட்டுப்பன்றி அதை உழுதுபோடுகிறது, வெளியின் மிருகங்கள் அதை மேய்ந்துபோடுகிறது." ( சங்கீதம் 80 : 12-13 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். ஆம், பாதுகாப்பற்ற தோட்டத்தை காட்டுப்பன்றியும் வெளியின் மிருகங்களும் மேய்ந்துபோடும். எனவே பாதுகாப்பு அவசியம். 

நாம் மேலே பார்த்தச் சம்பவத்தில் வேலி தகர்ந்து திறந்துபோன தோட்டத்தைப் பாதுகாக்க நியமிக்கப்பட்ட தோட்டக்காரரைப்போல தேவனுக்கெதிராக செயல்பட்டு தேவ பாதுகாப்பற்று வாழும் மக்களை அழிக்க சாத்தான் ஆடுமாடுகள்போலவும், சிங்கம்போலவும்  வருகின்றான். வேலி தகர்ந்து திறப்பாகிப்போனதால் அவனுக்கு அது எளிது. ஆனால் திறப்பாகிப்போன இடத்தில் நிறுத்தப்பட்டக் காவல்காரரைப்போல அந்த மக்களுக்காகக் காவலாக இருந்து  ஜெபிக்க தேவமனிதர்கள் தேவை.   அதனையே, "இப்படி நான் தேசத்தை அழிக்காதபடிக்குத் திறப்பிலே நிற்கவும் சுவரை அடைக்கவுந்தக்கதாக ஒரு மனுஷனைத் தேடினேன், ஒருவனையும் காணேன்." என்கிறார் தேவன். 

மோசே இப்படித் திறப்பில் நின்று ஜெபித்ததை நாம் வேதாகமத்தில் வாசிக்கின்றோம். இஸ்ரவேலர் தேவனுக்கு எதிராகப் பாவம் செய்தனர்  "ஆகையால், அவர்களை நாசம்பண்ணுவேன் என்றார்; அப்பொழுது அவரால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட மோசே, அவர்களை அவர் அழிக்காதபடிக்கு, அவருடைய உக்கிரத்தை ஆற்றும்பொருட்டு, அவருக்கு முன்பாகத் திறப்பின்வாயிலே நின்றான்." ( சங்கீதம் 106 : 23 ) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஆபிரகாம் லோத்துவுக்காக திறப்பிலே நின்று ஜெபித்தார் (ஆதியாகமம் 18:17-33) யோபு தனது  நண்பர்களுக்காக ஜெபித்தார் (யோபு 42:10) எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் மேலாக நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து நமக்காக ஜெபித்தார். (யோவான் 17:20- 26)

அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுலும், "நான் பிரதானமாய்ச் சொல்லுகிற புத்தியென்னவெனில், எல்லா மனுஷருக்காகவும் விண்ணப்பங்களையும் ஜெபங்களையும் வேண்டுதல்களையும் ஸ்தோத்திரங்களையும்பண்ணவேண்டும்" ( 1 தீமோத்தேயு 2 : 1 ) என்று அறிவுறுத்துகின்றார்.

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, இப்படியே நாம் நமது தேசத்துக்காகத் திறப்பிலே நின்று ஜெபிக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். தேவன் அதனை எதிர்பார்க்கின்றார். ஆனால் நாம் முதலில் நம்மை உறுதிப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளவேண்டியது அவசியம். காரணம், சிதறடிக்கின்ற சாத்தான் எப்போதும் நமக்கு எதிராகச் செயல்பட்டுக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றான்.  அரணைக் (வேலியை) காத்துக்கொள்வோம், வழியைக் காவல் பண்ணுவோம், அரையைக் கெட்டியாய்க் கட்டிக்கொள்வோம், நமது பெலனை மிகவும் ஸ்திரப்படுத்துவோம் ( நாகூம் 2 : 1 ). இந்த பலத்தோடு திறப்பிலே நின்று தேவனை அறியாத நமது உறவினர்களுக்காக, நண்பர்களுக்காக,  தேசத்துக்காக ஜெபிப்போம்.

Scripture Meditation No. 1697

AATHAVAN — Tuesday, 30.09.2025

“I searched for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, so that I would not destroy it; but I found no one.” (Ezekiel 22:30)

When I was a little boy, I used to walk to school with my friends. The path from my house to the school was lined with large punnai and cashew trees, giving it the look of a small forest. Along the way were gardens enclosed by mud walls. Inside, they cultivated guava, mango, sapota trees, and small vegetable plants. Because of the fence, these gardens flourished like lush groves, safe and protected.

Once, after heavy rains, a portion of the mud wall of one garden collapsed, leaving an opening wide enough for cattle to enter. The owner was away, and since the fence was not repaired immediately, in just two days all the trees were eaten and destroyed by cattle. Later, until the wall was rebuilt, the owner appointed a strong, Mustache watchman with a thick staff to guard the garden. From then on, the garden was safe again.

In the same way, God brought the people of Israel out of Egypt and planted them as His vineyard. But because of their wicked deeds, the hedge of protection God had given them was broken down. The psalmist laments: “Why have You broken down its walls, so that all who pass that way pick its fruit? A boar from the forest eats it away, and whatever moves in the field feeds on it.” (Psalm 80:12–13). Yes, without protection, the vineyard is ravaged by wild boars and beasts. Protection is essential.

Satan comes like cattle and like a roaring lion to destroy people who live without God’s protection. When the hedge is broken, he finds it easy to enter. Just as the watchman was appointed to guard the breached garden, God needs His people to stand in the gap and intercede as watchmen for those vulnerable lives. Therefore, God says: “I searched for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, so that I would not destroy it; but I found no one.” (Ezekiel 22:30).

Moses once stood in the gap to intercede. When Israel sinned against God, “So He said that He would destroy them, if Moses, His chosen one, had not stood in the gap before Him, to turn away His wrath from destroying them.” (Psalm 106:23). Abraham stood in the gap and prayed for Lot (Genesis 18:17–33). Job prayed for his friends (Job 42:10). Above all, our Lord Jesus Christ prayed for us (John 17:20–26).

The apostle Paul also exhorts us: “First of all, then, I urge that requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made in behalf of all people.” (1 Timothy 2:1).

Dear beloved, we too must stand in the gap and pray for our nation. God expects this from us. Yet, before doing so, we must strengthen ourselves, because Satan, the destroyer, always works against us. The prophet warns: “The one who scatters has come up against you. Guard the fortress, watch the road; strengthen your back, summon all your strength.” (Nahum 2:1).

With this strength, let us stand in the gap and intercede for our relatives, friends, and our nation who do not yet know the Lord.
