வேறே தேவர்கள் / OTHER GODS

 'ஆதவன்' 📖✝ வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,074     💚 ஜனவரி 18, 2024 💚 வியாழக்கிழமை 💚 

"உன்னை அடிமைத்தன வீடாகிய எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணின உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நானே. என்னையன்றி உனக்கு வேறே தேவர்கள் உண்டாயிருக்க வேண்டாம்." ( உபாகமம் 5 : 6, 7 )

நாம் பாவ வாழ்க்கை வாழ்த்த பழைய நாட்கள்தான்  நமது எகிப்து வாழ்க்கை. பாவ வாழ்க்கைதான் நமது அடிமைத்தன வீடு.  அந்த அடிமைத்தன வீட்டிலிருந்து நாம் கர்த்தருடைய கிருபையால் விடுவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளோம். அவரே நமது மெய்யான தேவன். 

எனவே, அப்படி விடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ள நாம் கர்த்தரையே சார்ந்து அவரையே நமது தேவனாக எண்ணி வாழவேண்டும். ஆனால், மனிதர்கள் பலரும் தேவனால் மீட்கப்பட்டுள்ளோம் என்று கூறிக்கொண்டாலும் தங்களை அறியாமல் பல்வேறு அடிமைத்தனங்களுக்குள் சிக்கிக்கொள்கின்றனர். அதாவது பல்வேறு தேவர்களைத் தங்களுக்கு உருவாக்கிக்கொள்கின்றனர். அவைகளைத் தாங்கள் ஆராதிப்பதை அறியாமலேயே ஆராதித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர். 

கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவைத் தவிர வேறு எதற்கெல்லாம் நாம் முக்கியத்துவம் கொடுத்தாலும் அது வேறு தேவ வழிபாடுதான். இப்படி பழைய பாவ வாழ்க்கையிலிருந்து விடுவிக்கப்பட்டோம் என்று கூறிக்கொண்டாலும் சிலர் பணம், புகழ், பதவி வெறிகளில் சிக்கியுள்ளனர். அதாவது அவர்கள் இவற்றைத் தேவனாக எண்ணிக்கொள்கின்றனர். அவற்றைப் பெறுவதே வாழ்வில் தங்களது முக்கிய குறிக்கோள் என்று எண்ணிச் செயல்படுகின்றனர்.  

"என்னையன்றி உனக்கு வேறே தேவர்கள் உண்டாயிருக்க வேண்டாம்." என்கின்றார் கர்த்தர். அவர் கொடுத்தப் பத்துக் கட்டளைகளில் முதல் கட்டளையே இதுதான். ஆனால் நம்மில் பெரும்பாலோனர்களும் வேறு மத தெய்வங்களை வழிபடுவதை மட்டுமே  வேறு தெய்வ வழிபாடு என்று எண்ணிக்கொள்கின்றோம்.  

குறிப்பாக பொருளாசை அல்லது பண ஆசை பெரும்பாலானவர்களை ஆட்டிப்படைக்கின்றது. அதுவே அவர்களுக்கு எஜமானாகவும் தேவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றது. எனவேதான் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறினார்,   "எந்த ஊழியக்காரனும் இரண்டு எஜமான்களுக்கு ஊழியஞ்செய்யக்கூடாது; ஒருவனைப் பகைத்து மற்றவனைச் சிநேகிப்பான், அல்லது ஒருவனைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டு மற்றவனை அசட்டைபண்ணுவான். தேவனுக்கும் உலகப்பொருளுக்கும் ஊழியஞ்செய்ய உங்களாலே கூடாது." ( லுூக்கா 16 : 13 )

தேவனுக்கும் உலகப்பொருளுக்கும் ஊழியஞ்செய்ய மனிதர்கள் பலரும் ஆர்வமாக உள்ளனர். எந்த அளவுக்கு கோவில், ஆராதனை, வழிபாடுகளுக்கு முக்கியத்துவம் கொடுக்கின்றனரோ அதைவிட அதிக முக்கியத்துவத்தை மற்ற உலகத் தேவர்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கின்றனர். 

அன்பானவர்களே, நம்மை பாவ அடிமைத்தன வீடாகிய எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணின நம் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரைத் தவிர வேறு எதற்கும் நாம் முன்னுரிமைக் கொடுலாதவாறு நம்மைக் காத்துக்கொள்வோம். நாம் தேவர்கள் எனக் கருதி முன்னுரிமைக் கொடுக்கும் எந்த தெய்வங்களும் நிரந்தரமானவை அல்ல. நமக்கு பூரண மனச் சமாதானத்தையும் அவைகள் நமக்குத் தர முடியாது. எனவே, அப்படி எந்த தேவர்களும் நமக்கு உண்டாயிருக்க வேண்டாம்.

'AATHAVAN' 📖✝ BIBLE MEDITATION No:- 1,074 💚 January 18, 2024 💚 Thursday 💚

"I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. Thou shalt have none other gods before me." (Deuteronomy 5: 6, 7)

Our Egyptian life was the old days when we lived a sinful life. A sinful life is our house of slavery. From that house of slavery, we have been freed by the grace of God. He is our true God.

Therefore, we who are freed like that should depend on the Lord and consider Him as our God. But many people claim to have been redeemed by God but they are trapped in various addictions without knowing it. That is, they create various gods for themselves. They are worshiping them without realizing that they are worshiping them.

Whatever we give importance to other than the Lord Jesus Christ is worshiping another god. Even though they claim that they have been freed from their old sinful life, some people are caught up in lust for money, fame and status. That is, they regard these as God. They think that getting them is their main goal in life.

"Thou shalt have no other gods before me." says the Lord. This is the first of his ten commandments. But most of us think that worshiping other religious deities is only worshiping other Gods.

Especially materialism or desire for money dominates most of the people. That is their Lord and God. That is why Jesus Christ said, "No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." (Luke 16 :13)

Many people are eager to serve God and worldly goods. As much as they give importance to temple, worship, they give more importance to other world gods.

Beloved, let us guard ourselves that we do not prioritize anything other than the Lord our God who brought us out of the land of sinful slavery in Egypt. None of the deities we prioritize as gods are eternal. They cannot give us complete peace of mind. Therefore, let us not have any such gods.
