கிருபையின் பிரமாணம்

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 636 ⛪ அக்டோபர் 25,  2022 செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை

"எப்படியென்றால், அவர்கள் தேவநீதியை அறியாமல், தங்கள் சுயநீதியை நிலைநிறுத்தத் தேடுகிறபடியால் தேவநீதிக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாதிருக்கிறார்கள்." ( ரோமர் 10 : 3 )

இன்றைய தியான வசனம் இரண்டுவித நீதிகளைக்குறித்து பேசுகின்றது. அவை:- 

1. தேவ நீதி 

2. சுய நீதி 

தேவ நீதி என்பது  நியாயப்பிரமாணம் சொல்வது என்றும் அவற்றுக்குக் கீழ்படிவது என்றும்  பலரும் எண்ணுகின்றனர். ஆனால் அப்படியல்ல, தேவ நீதி என்பது அதற்கும் மேலானது. அதாவது கட்டளைகளுக்கு வெறுமனே கீழ்ப்படிவதல்ல. உதாரணமாக, ஓய்வு நாளை பரிசுத்தமாய் அனுசரிக்கவேண்டும் என்பது நியாயப்பிரமாண கட்டளை. ஆனால் வெறுமனே ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமைகளில் கோவிலுக்குச் செல்வதாலும் சிலபக்தி காரியங்களைச் செய்வதாலும் நாம் கடவுளுக்கு ஏற்புடையவர்கள் ஆக முடியாது. ஏனெனில் தேவநீதி இவற்றுக்கு அப்பாற்பட்டது. கோவிலுக்குச் செல்வதுடன் சகோதர அன்பில் நிலைத்திருப்பது அது. 

இதுபோலவே விபச்சாரம் செய்யாதிருப்பாயாக என்பது கட்டளை. இதன்படி விபச்சார பாவத்தில் நேரடியாக ஈடுபடாமல் வாழ்வது சுயநீதியும் நியாயப் பிரமாணத்தை நிறைவேற்றுதலுமாக இருக்கின்றது. ஆனால், நேரடியாக நியாயப்பிரமாண கட்டளைக் கூறுவதன்படி விபச்சாரம் செய்யாதவனும் விபச்சார எண்ணத்தை மனதில் கொண்டிருந்தால் அவன் விபச்சாரம் செய்த பாவியாகின்றான். இதுவே தேவ நீதி.  இதனால்தான் ஒரு பெண்ணை இச்சையுடன் பார்த்தாலே அவன்விபச்சாரம் செய்துவிட்டான் என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறினார். ஆம். எண்ணத்தில், இருதயத்தில் சுத்தமாக இருப்பதே தேவ நீதி.     

சுய நீதி என்பது உலகம் போதிக்கும் நல்லொழுக்கத்தின்படி வாழ்வது. தமிழில் பல்வேறு நீதி நூல்கள் உள்ளன. எல்லா மதங்களும் நீதி போதனைகளைத்தான் கற்பிக்கின்றன. இப்படி நீதி நூல்கள் சொல்வதன்படியும் மதங்கள் போதிக்கும் நீதி நெறிகளின்படி வாழ்வதும் சுய நீதி.  சுருக்கமாகக் கூறுவதென்றால் மனச்சாட்சியின்படி வாழ்வது. உலகில் உள்ள அனைவருக்குமே மனச்சாட்சி எச்சரிப்புவிடுத்து நேர்வழியில் வாழ வழிகாட்டுகின்றது.  

நியாயப்பிரமாண கட்டளைகளுக்கு மேலாக, சுய நீதி போதனைகளுக்கு மேலாக வாழ்வதுதான் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவின் மேல் நாம் கொள்ளும் விசுவாசத்தால் வரும் நீதி. இதனைத்தான் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் இன்றைய வசனத்தின் அடுத்த வசனத்தில் கூறுகின்றார். "விசுவாசிக்கிற எவனுக்கும் நீதி உண்டாகும்படியாகக் கிறிஸ்து நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின் முடிவாயிருக்கிறார்." ( ரோமர் 10 : 4 ).

நியாயப்பிரமாணம் நம்மைத் தேவ  நீதியின் பாதையில் நடத்த முடியாததால் கிருபையின் பிரமாணத்தை இயேசு கிறிஸ்து ஏற்படுத்தினார்.   "எப்படியெனில் நியாயப்பிரமாணம் மோசேயின் மூலமாய்க் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது, கிருபையும் சத்தியமும் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் மூலமாய் உண்டாயின." ( யோவான் 1 : 17 )

ஆம் நியாயப்பிரமாண கட்டளைகள் மனிதனை நீதிமானாக்க முடியாமல் போனதால் இயேசு  கிறிஸ்து உலகத்தில் வந்து தனது மீட்புமூலம் மேலான பிரமாணத்தை நமக்கு ஏற்படுத்தினார். நியாயப்பிரமாணம் கிறிஸ்துவின்மூலம் புறம்பே தள்ளப்பட்டது. நியாயப்பிரமாணமே போதுமென்றால் கிறிஸ்து உலகினில் வந்து பாடுபட்டிருக்கவேண்டாம். மோசேயின் கட்டளைகளே மனிதனைத் தூய்மையாக்க போதுமானவையாக  இருந்திருக்கும். ஆனால் அப்படி இல்லை. இதனால்தான், "நீதியானது நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தினாலே வருமானால் கிறிஸ்து மரித்தது வீணாயிருக்குமே." ( கலாத்தியர் 2 : 21 ) என எழுதுகின்றார் பவுல் அடிகள். 

"மாம்சத்தினாலே பலவீனமாயிருந்த நியாயப்பிரமாணம் செய்யக்கூடாததை தேவனே செய்யும்படிக்கு, தம்முடைய குமாரனைப் பாவமாம்சத்தின் சாயலாகவும், பாவத்தைப் போக்கும் பலியாகவும் அனுப்பி, மாம்சத்திலே பாவத்தை ஆக்கினைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்த்தார்." ( ரோமர் 8 : 3 )

அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் இதுவரை நமது மனச்சாட்சிக்கு எதிராக வாழாதவர்களாகவும், உலகம் கற்பித்துள்ள நீதிகளின்படி வாழ்பவர்களாகவும், சுய நீதியுள்ளவர்களாகவும் வாழ்ந்திருக்கலாம். ஆனால் அவைபோதாது. கிறிஸ்துவின் கிருபைக்குட்பட்ட ஆவியின் பிரமாணத்தினால் ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வு வாழவேண்டும். கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு முற்றிலும் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கும்போது அவரே நம்மை அவரது கிருபையின் பிரமாணத்தின்படி நடத்துவார்.

Covenant of Grace

 AATHAVAN 🖋️ 636 ⛪ October 25, 2022 Tuesday

"For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God." ( Romans 10 : 3 )

Today's meditation verse talks about two types of righteousness. They are:-

1. God's righteousness 

2. Own righteousness

Many think that God's righteousness is what the law says and obeys it. But not so, God's righteousness is more than that. That means not simply obeying orders. For example, the Law commandment says to keep the Sabbath day holy. But we cannot become acceptable to God simply by going to the temple on Sundays and doing some pious activities. Because God's righteousness is beyond these. It is not going to the temple but, abiding in brotherly love.

Similarly, the commandment, though shall not commit adultery. According to this, living a life without directly engaging in the sin of adultery is God's righteousness and fulfillment of the oath of righteousness. But though one does not commit adultery according to the commandment, if he has the intention of committing adultery in his mind, he becomes a sinner and commits adultery. This is God's true righteousness. This is why Jesus Christ said that one he looks at a woman lustfully, he has committed adultery. Yes. God's righteousness is to be clean in mind and heart.

Own-righteousness is living according to the virtues that the world teaches. There are various legal texts in Tamil language. All religions teach the teachings of justice. Self-righteousness is living according to what the laws say and living according to the principles of justice taught by religions. In short it means living according to conscience. Conscience warns everyone in the world and guides them to live in the right way.

Living above the commandments of the law, above the teachings of own-righteousness, is the righteousness that comes from our faith in Christ Jesus. This is what the apostle Paul says in the next verse of today's verse. "For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth." ( Romans 10 : 4 )

Jesus Christ instituted the law of grace because the law of Moses could not guide us in the path of God's righteousness. "For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." (John 1:17)

Yes, because the commandments of the law could not make man righteous, Jesus Christ came into the world and made us a higher level through his redemption. The law was cast aside by Christ. If the law was sufficient, Christ need not have to come into the world and suffered. The commandments of Moses alone would have been sufficient to purify man. But it is not so. That is why Apostle Paul writes, "I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain." ( Galatians 2 : 21 )

"For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:" ( Romans 8 : 3 )

Beloved, we may have hitherto lived not against our conscience, living a life according to the righteousness taught by the world, and living own-righteousness life. But they are not enough. We have to live a spiritual life under the grace of Christ. When we surrender ourselves completely to Christ, He will hold us to His covenant of grace.

Seek the LORD, and his strength

"In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears." ( Psalms 18 : 6 )

The words of today's psalm were sung by King David when the Lord delivered him from all his enemies and from Saul.

David lived by trusting in the Lord and counting Him as his strength. Saul, the enemy kings, and his own son tried to put David to death. But he did not waver and clung to the Lord.

The second verse of Psalm 18, which is included in today's meditation verse, says, "The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower." ( Psalms 18 : 2 ) Thus he declared his faith when the Lord freed him from all sufferings. 

Here, David gives eight different names to the Lord: rock, fortress, savior, my God, my strength, my buckler, horn of my salvation, my high tower.

Beloved, how do many Christians today often see God? They see God only as a doctor who can cure their ailments, help them solve their debt problems, help them get married for their children, help them get a job, Yes,...just give them worldly blessings.

How high are the words rock, fortress, savior, my God, my strength, my buckler, horn of my salvation and my high tower. Because David looked up to the Lord in this way, the Lord freed David from all his sufferings.

That is, David considered the Lord as the first one and prayed. But most of the people today give priority to the blessings from God.

As David sought God with all his heart, he says "God heard my voice from his temple, and my cry went into his presence, and entered into his ears." 

Today, as David says, it is necessary for us to seek God. We may have a thousand problems and needs. But it is not necessary to cry to God by telling them. We need to be assured that we have a God who can solve all our needs and problems.

If we have that assurance, we will consider God as our savior, shield and rock like David. Otherwise we would be crying and listing all our problems to Him.

Beloved, let us be faithful to the Lord, not seeking His face for getting worldly favors as, what he will provide to us. For He has promised, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." ( Matthew 6 : 33 ) 

"Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore." ( Psalms 105 : 4 )

கர்த்தரையும் அவர் வல்லமையையும் நாடுங்கள்

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 635 ⛪ அக்டோபர் 24,  2022 திங்கள்கிழமை

"எனக்கு உண்டான நெருக்கத்திலே கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டேன், என் தேவனை நோக்கி அபயமிட்டேன்; தமது ஆலயத்திலிருந்து என் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டார், என் கூப்பிடுதல் அவர் சந்நிதியில் போய், அவர் செவிகளில் ஏறிற்று."( சங்கீதம் 18 : 6 )

இன்றைய சங்கீத வார்த்தைகள் தாவீது ராஜாவை கர்த்தர் அனைத்து எதிரிகளிடமுமிருந்தும் சவுலிடமிருந்தும்  விடுவித்தபோது அவர் பாடியவை.

தாவீது கர்த்தரையே நம்பி அவரையே தனது பலமாக எண்ணி வாழ்ந்தார்.  சவுலினாலும், எதிரி ராஜாக்களினாலும் அவரது சொந்த மகனாலும் தாவீதுக்கு உயிர் போகக்கூடிய அளவுக்கு  நெருக்கடி ஏற்பட்டது. ஆனால் அவர் நிலைதடுமாறாமல் கர்த்தரையே பற்றிக்கொண்டார்.

அப்படிக் கர்த்தர் அவரை அனைத்துத் துன்பங்களிலிருந்தும் விடுவித்தபோது அவர் தனது நம்பிக்கையை அறிக்கையிட்டார். இன்றையத் தியான வசனம் இடம்பெற்றுள்ள 18 ஆம் சங்கீதத்தின் இரண்டாவது வசனம்கூறுகின்றது,  "கர்த்தர் என் கன்மலையும், என் கோட்டையும், என் இரட்சகரும், என் தேவனும், நான் அடைக்கலம் புகும் என் துருகமும், என் கேடகமும், என் இரட்சணியக் கொம்பும், என் உயர்ந்த அடைக்கலமுமாயிருக்கிறார்."( சங்கீதம் 18 : 2 ) என்று. 

இங்கு கர்த்தருக்குத் தாவீது கன்மலை, கோட்டை, இரட்சகர், தேவன், துருக்கம், கேடகம், இரட்சணியக்  கொம்பு, உயர்ந்த அடைக்கலம் என எட்டு அடைமொழிகளைக் கொடுத்து பரவசப்படுகின்றார். 

அன்பானவர்களே, இன்று கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் பலரும் பெரும்பாலும் கர்த்தரை எப்படிப் பார்க்கின்றார்கள்?  தங்களது நோய்களை நீக்கும் மருத்துவராக, கடன் பிரச்னைகள் தீர்ந்திட உதவுபவராக, தங்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்குத் திருமணம் நடத்திக்கொடுத்திட துணைசெய்பவராக, வேலை கிடைத்திட உதவுபவராக, வெறும் உலக ஆசீர்வாதங்களைக் கொடுப்பவராக மட்டுமே தேவனைப் பார்க்கின்றனர். 

கன்மலை, கோட்டை, இரட்சகர், தேவன், துருக்கம், கேடகம், இரட்சணியக்  கொம்பு, உயர்ந்த அடைக்கலம் எனும் வார்த்தைகள் எவ்வளவு மேலானவை. இப்படித் தாவீது கர்த்தரை உயர்வாகப்  பார்த்ததால்  கர்த்தர் அவரது எல்லாத் துன்பங்களுக்கும் தாவீதை  நீங்கலாக்கி விட்டார்.

அதாவது, தாவீது கர்த்தரையே முதலானவராக எண்ணித் தேடி விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணினார். ஆனால், இன்றைய பெரும்பாலான மக்களும் கர்த்தாரிடமிருந்து வரும் ஆசீர்வாதங்களுக்கு  முன்னுரிமைகொடுத்து வேண்டுகின்றோம். 

இப்படித் தேவனையே தாவீது முழுமனதோடு தேடியதால், "தேவன்  தமது ஆலயத்திலிருந்து என் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டார், என் கூப்பிடுதல் அவர் சந்நிதியில் போய், அவர் செவிகளில் ஏறிற்று." என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

இன்று தாவீது கூறுவதுபோல நாமும்  தேவனைத் தேடவேண்டியது அவசியமாயிருக்கின்றது. நமக்கு ஆயிரம் பிரச்சனைகளும் தேவைகளும் இருக்கலாம். ஆனால் அவற்றையே சொல்லிச் சொல்லி தேவ சமூகத்தில் அழுவது அவசியமில்லாதது. நமது அனைத்துத் தேவைகளையும் பிரச்சனைகளையும் தீர்க்கக்கூடிய தேவன் நமக்கு இருக்கிறார் எனும் உறுதிநமக்கு வேண்டும். 

அந்த உறுதி நமக்கு இருக்குமானால் நாமும் தாவீதைப்போல தேவனை நமது இரட்சகராக, கேடையமாக, கன்மலையாக எண்ணுவோம். இல்லாவிட்டால் நமது ஒவ்வொரு பிரச்சனைகளையும் பட்டியலிட்டு அவரிடம் சொல்லிச் சொல்லி அழுதுகொண்டிருப்போம். 

அன்பானவர்களே, கர்த்தரிடம் விசுவாசமாய் இருப்போம், கர்த்தரிடம் வருவானவற்றுக்காக அல்ல. "முதலாவது தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தையும் அவருடைய நீதியையும் தேடுங்கள், அப்பொழுது இவைகளெல்லாம் உங்களுக்குக்கூடக் கொடுக்கப்படும்." ( மத்தேயு 6 : 33 ) என்று அவர் வாக்களித்துள்ளாரே?  

"கர்த்தரையும் அவர் வல்லமையையும் நாடுங்கள்; அவர் சமுகத்தை நித்தமும் தேடுங்கள்." ( சங்கீதம் 105 : 4 )

Only when we live a life in union with Christ Jesus, we can see fruit in us.

"Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God." ( Philippians 1 : 11 )

In the scriptures we read about the blessings that come from praise. Regarding the praise of God, we read,  "Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely." ( Psalms 147 : 1 ). But we often think that praising God with our mouth is praise. Oral praise is an important requirement. We cannot remain silent without praising the Lord.

But today's verse says is more than verbal praise; It talks about the praise that God wants. What praise is that? Being full of the fruits of righteousness that comes from Jesus Christ. Today's verse says that being filled with the fruits of righteousness brings glory and praise to God the Father. The apostle Paul writes to the Philippians that you be filled with the fruits of righteousness

The apostle Paul mentioned in his epistle to the Galatians about the spiritual fruits which are the fruits of righteousness. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." ( Galatians 5 : 22, 23 )

And, "For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth" ( Ephesians 5 : 9 )

The purpose of today's verse is because those who praise with the mouth can praise without the aforementioned spiritual fruits. Such praise does not glorify God the Father. He says that mere praise does not glorify God.

And in today's verse, he refers to the fruits of righteousness that come from Jesus Christ. That is, the fruits of righteousness that Paul has said can only come from Jesus Christ. Those who turn away from Christ and do not live according to Christ are unfruitful.

"Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me." ( John 15 : 4 ) said Jesus Christ.

Beloved, we can become fruitful only by being grafted into Jesus Christ. It is not enough to praise with the mouth. Our life should become a fruitful life for God. When we bear fruit like this, it brings glory and praise to God the Father.

Let's commit to living a life of union with Christ Jesus. Only when we live like that we can see fruit in us. Only when we live like that people around us can know Christ through us.

இயேசுவோடு இணைந்த ஒரு வாழ்க்கை வாழும்போது மட்டுமே நம்மில் கனிகளைக் காண முடியும்.

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 634 ⛪ அக்டோபர் 23,  2022 ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை

"தேவனுக்கு மகிமையும் துதியும் உண்டாகும்படி இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினால் வருகிற நீதியின் கனிகளால் நிறைந்தவர்களாகி.." ( பிலிப்பியர் 1 : 10 )

துதித்தலினால் வரும் ஆசீர்வாதங்களைக்குறித்து வேதத்தில் நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். தேவனைத் துதித்தலைக் குறித்து,  "கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள்; நம்முடைய தேவனைக் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணுகிறது நல்லது, துதித்தலே இன்பமும் ஏற்றதுமாயிருக்கிறது." ( சங்கீதம் 147 : 1 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். ஆனால் நாம் பெரும்பாலும் வாயினால் கர்த்தரைத் துதிப்பதையே துதி என்று எண்ணுகின்றோம். வாயினால் துதிப்பது முக்கியமான தேவையே. நாம் கர்த்தரைத் துதிக்காமல் வாய்மூடி மௌனமாக இருக்க முடியாது. 

ஆனால், இன்றைய வசனம் வாயினால் துதிப்பதைவிட மேலான துதியை; தேவன் விரும்புகின்ற துதியைக் குறித்துப் பேசுகின்றது. அது என்ன துதி? இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவினால் வருகின்ற நீதியின் கனிகளால் நிறைந்திருப்பது. அப்படி நீதியின் கனிகளால் நிறைந்திருப்பது பிதாவாகிய தேவனுக்கு மகிமையும் துதியும் உண்டாக்கும் என்று இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது.  அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், நீங்கள் அப்படி நீதியின் கனிகளால் நிறைந்தவர்களாக இருங்கள் என்று பிலிப்பியர்களுக்கு எழுதுகின்றார்

நீதியின் கனிகளாகிய ஆவிக்குரிய கனிகளைக்குறித்து அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் கலாத்தியருக்கு எழுதிய நிரூபத்தில் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார். "ஆவியின் கனியோ, அன்பு, சந்தோஷம், சமாதானம், நீடியபொறுமை, தயவு, நற்குணம், விசுவாசம், சாந்தம், இச்சையடக்கம்; இப்படிப்பட்டவைகளுக்கு விரோதமான பிரமாணம் ஒன்றுமில்லை." ( கலாத்தியர் 5 : 22, 23 )

மேலும், "ஆவியின் கனி, சகல நற்குணத்திலும் நீதியிலும் உண்மையிலும் விளங்கும்." ( எபேசியர் 5 : 9 ) என எழுதியுள்ளார்.

இன்றைய வசனம் கூறப்படுவதன் நோக்கம் ஏனென்றால், வாயினால் துதிப்பவர்கள் மேற்படி ஆவிக்குரிய கனிகள் இல்லாமலும் துதிக்க முடியும். அப்படித் துதிப்பது பிதாவாகிய தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்தாது. வெறுமனே ஸ்தோத்திரம் சொல்வது தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்தாது என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

மேலும் இன்றைய வசனத்தில், இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவினால் வருகின்ற நீதியின் கனிகள் என்று குறிப்பிடுகின்றார். அதாவது பவுல் அடிகள் கூறியுள்ள நீதியின் கனிகள் ஒருவருக்கு இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவினால் மட்டுமே உண்டாக முடியும். கிறிஸ்துவைவிட்டு விலகி இருப்பவர்களும், கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு ஏற்புடைய வாழ்க்கை வாழாதவர்களும் கனியற்றவர்களே.

"என்னில் நிலைத்திருங்கள், நானும் உங்களில் நிலைத்திருப்பேன்; கொடியானது திராட்சச்செடியில் நிலைத்திராவிட்டால் அது தானாய்க் கனிகொடுக்கமாட்டாததுபோல, நீங்களும் என்னில் நிலைத்திராவிட்டால், கனிகொடுக்கமாட்டீர்கள்." ( யோவான் 15 : 4 ) என்று கூறினார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து.

அன்பானவர்களே, இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவோடு நாம் ஒட்டவைக்கப்படுவதன் மூலமே கனி கொடுப்பவர்களாக மாற முடியும். வாயினால்  ஸ்தோத்திரம் செய்வது மட்டும் போதாது. நமது வாழ்க்கையே  தேவனுக்கேற்ற கனியுள்ள வாழ்க்கையாக மாறவேண்டும். இப்படி நாம் கனிகளால் நிறையும்போது அது பிதாவாகிய தேவனுக்கு மகிமையும் துதியும் உண்டாகும்.

கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவோடு இணைந்த ஒரு வாழ்க்கை வாழ ஒப்புக்கொடுப்போம். அப்படி வாழும்போது மட்டுமே நம்மில் கனிகளைக் காண முடியும். நாம் கனியுள்ளவர்களாக மாறும்போதுதான் நம்மைச் சுற்றியுள்ளவர்கள் கிறிஸ்துவை அறியமுடியும்.

கிறிஸ்துவிடம் மெய்யான மனஸ்தாபத்துடன் பாவங்களை அறிக்கையிடவேண்டும்

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 633 ⛪ அக்டோபர் 22,  2022 சனிக்கிழமை

"நீங்கள் உங்கள் வஸ்திரங்களையல்ல, உங்கள் இருதயங்களைக்கிழித்து, உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் இடத்தில் திரும்புங்கள்; அவர் இரக்கமும், மன உருக்கமும், நீடிய சாந்தமும், மிகுந்த கிருபையுமுள்ளவர்; அவர் தீங்குக்கு மனஸ்தாபப்படுகிறவருமாயிருக்கிறார்." ( யோவேல் 2 : 13 )

பழைய ஏற்பாட்டுக்கால முறைமைகளில் மனம் திரும்புவதற்கு தங்கள் உடைகளைக் கிழித்துக்கொள்வதும், சாக்கு உடை அணிந்து சாம்பலில் அமர்ந்து அல்லது உடலில் சாம்பலைப் பூசிக்கொள்வதும் முறைமைகளாக இருந்தன. துக்கம் அனுசரிப்பதற்கும் இப்படியே செய்தனர். 

பழைய ஏற்பாடு முழுவதும் இப்படி மக்களும் ராஜாக்களும் பல்வேறு சந்தர்ப்பங்களில் இரட்டுடுத்தி சாம்பலில் அமர்வதை நாம் வாசிக்கலாம். யோனா தீர்க்கத்தரிசியின் பிரசாங்கத்தைக்கேட்டு நினிவே மக்களில் சிறியோர்முதல் பெரியோர்வரை அனைவரும் இரட்டு உடுத்திக்கொண்டார்கள் ( யோனா 3 : 5 ). இதனை நாம், "இந்தச் செய்தி நினிவேயின் ராஜாவுக்கு எட்டினபோது, அவன் தன் சிங்காசனத்தைவிட்டு எழுந்து, தான் உடுத்தியிருந்த உடுப்பைக் கழற்றிப்போட்டு, இரட்டை உடுத்திக்கொண்டு, சாம்பலிலே உட்கார்ந்தான்." ( யோனா 3 : 6 ) என்று வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவும் மனம்திரும்பாத கோரசீன், பெத்சாயிதா நகரங்களைப் பார்த்துக் கூறும்போது, "கோராசீன் பட்டணமே, உனக்கு ஐயோ, பெத்சாயிதா பட்டணமே, உனக்கு ஐயோ, உங்களில் செய்யப்பட்ட பலத்த செய்கைகள் தீருவிலும் சீதோனிலும் செய்யப்பட்டிருந்ததானால், அப்பொழுதே இரட்டுடுத்தி, சாம்பலில் உட்கார்ந்து, மனந்திரும்பியிருப்பார்கள்" (லூக்கா 10:13) என்று கூறினார். ஆம், இதுவே பழைய ஏற்பாட்டுக்கால முறைமை. 

தற்போதும் பாவத்திலிருந்து விடுபட மனிதர்கள் பல்வேறு முறைமைகளைக் கையாளுகின்றனர். ஒவ்வொரு மதத்தினரும் பல்வேறு முறைகளில் பாவ மன்னிப்பை நாடுகின்றனர். 

ஆனால் யோவேல் தீர்க்கத்தரிசி,  நீங்கள் இப்படி உடைகளைக்  கிழிப்பதையல்ல உங்கள் இருதயத்தைக் கிழித்து தேவனிடம் மன்னிப்பு வேண்டுங்கள். "தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் இரக்கமும், மன உருக்கமும், நீடிய சாந்தமும், மிகுந்த கிருபையுமுள்ளவர்; அவர் தீங்குக்கு மனஸ்தாபப் படுகிறவருமாயிருக்கிறார்" எனவே அப்போது அவர் உங்களை மன்னிப்பார்  என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

காரணம், எல்லாப் பாவங்களுக்கும் இருதயமே மூல காரணமாயிருக்கிறது. இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறினார், "எப்படியெனில், இருதயத்திலிருந்து பொல்லாத சிந்தனைகளும், கொலைபாதகங்களும், விபசாரங்களும், வேசித்தனங்களும், களவுகளும், பொய்ச்சாட்சிகளும், தூஷணங்களும் புறப்பட்டுவரும்." ( மத்தேயு 15 : 19 )

இன்றைய வசனம் கூறும் தெளிவு என்னவென்றால், நமது இருதயமே பாவங்களுக்குக் காரணமாயிருக்கின்றது. எனவே, நாம் நமது இருதயம் நொறுங்க மன்றாடி தேவனிடம் மன்னிப்புக் கேட்கவேண்டுமேத் தவிர வெளியரங்கமான சில செயல்பாடுகளைச் செய்வதால் நமது பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட மாட்டாது.  

"பூமியிலே பாவங்களை மன்னிக்க மனுஷகுமாரனுக்கு அதிகாரம் உண்டென்பதை நீங்கள் அறியவேண்டும்." ( லுூக்கா 5 : 24 ) என்றார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. பாவங்களை மன்னிக்கும் அதிகாரம் பாவங்களுக்காக இரத்தம் சிந்தின கிறிஸ்து ஒருவருக்கே உண்டு. 

எனவே நாம் வெளியரங்கமானச் சில செயல்பாடுகளைச் செய்து பாவ மன்னிப்பு பெற முடியாது. மன்னிக்க அதிகாரம் பெற்ற இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவிடம் மெய்யான மனஸ்தாபத்துடன் பாவங்களை அறிக்கையிடவேண்டும். 

"நம்முடைய பாவங்களை நாம் அறிக்கையிட்டால், பாவங்களை நமக்கு மன்னித்து எல்லா அநியாயத்தையும் நீக்கி நம்மைச் சுத்திகரிப்பதற்கு அவர் உண்மையும் நீதியும் உள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார்". (1 யோவான் 1:9)

Confess your sins with true repentance to Jesus Christ

"And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil." ( Joel 2 : 13 )

Old Testament rituals included tearing one's clothes, wearing sackcloth and sitting in ashes or smearing ashes on one's body to repent. They did the same for mourning also.

Throughout the Old Testament we could read of people and kings sitting in ashes and wearing sackcloth on various occasions. Hearing the preaching of the prophet Jonah, all the people of Nineveh, from the youngest to the oldest, dressed sackcloth (Jonah 3:5). We read  thus, "For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes." (Jonah 3:6). 

When Jesus Christ looked at the unrepentant cities of Chorazin and Bethsaida, he said,   "Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes." (Luke 10:13) Yes, this is the Old Testament system.

Even now people use various methods to get rid of sin. Every religion seeks forgiveness in different ways.

But prophet Joel says, don't tear your clothes like this, tear your heart and ask God for forgiveness. "The Lord God is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil" so then he says he will forgive you.

Because the heart is the root cause of all sins. Jesus Christ said, " For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies" (Matthew 15:19) 

Today's verse makes it clear that our heart is the cause of our sins. Therefore, we should break our hearts and plead with God for forgiveness, but our sins will not be forgiven just because we do some outward activity.

"But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins...." (Luke 5:24)  said Jesus Christ. Only Christ who shed His blood for sins has the power to forgive sins.

So we cannot get forgiveness of sins by performing some external activity. Confess your sins with true repentance to Jesus Christ, who has the power to forgive.

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". (1 John 1:9)

கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்காக யுத்தம்பண்ணுவார்

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 632 ⛪ அக்டோபர் 21,  2022 வெள்ளிக்கிழமை

"ஏரோது அவனை வெளியே கொண்டுவரும்படி குறித்திருந்த நாளுக்கு முந்தின நாள் இராத்திரியிலே, பேதுரு இரண்டு சங்கிலிகளினாலே கட்டப்பட்டு, இரண்டு சேவகர் நடுவே நித்திரை பண்ணிக்கொண்டிருந்தான்." ( அப்போஸ்தலருடைய நடபடிகள் 12 : 6 )

ஏரோது ராஜா அப்போஸ்தலராகிய யாக்கோபை வாளினால் வெட்டிக் கொலைசெய்தான். அது யூதர்களுக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியளித்ததால் அடுத்து அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுருவையும் அதுபோல கொலைசெய்ய எண்ணினான். எனவே பேதுருவைக் கைதுசெய்து சிறையில் அடைத்து வைத்து பஸ்கா பண்டிகைக்குப்பின் அவரைக் கொலைசெய்யத் திட்டமிட்டிருந்தான். அப்படி அடைத்து வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த பேதுருவைக் குறித்துதான் இன்றைய வசனம் கூறுகின்றது. 

இங்கு நாம் கவனிக்கவேண்டிய விஷயம் என்னவென்றால் பேதுருவின் மனநிலை. நாளைக்குக் காலையில்  நமது தலை துண்டித்து கொலைச் செய்யப்படப்போகிறோம் என்றால் முந்தினநாள் இரவு நாம் எப்படி இருப்போம் என்று கற்பனைச் செய்து பாருங்கள். எப்படி நிம்மதியாகத் தூங்கமுடியும்? 

மரண தண்டனைக் கைதிகளைக் குறித்துச் சிறைக்காவலர்கள் கூறும் காரியங்கள் பல பத்திரிகைகளில் வெளிவந்துள்ளன. அவற்றின்மூலம் நாம் தெரிந்துகொள்வது,  தண்டனை நிறைவேற்றப்படும் நாட்களுக்கு முன் ஏறக்குறைய ஒரு வாரமாக அவர்கள் சரியாகத் தூங்க மாட்டார்களாம். அவர்களுக்குத் தூக்கம் வராது. பித்துப் பிடித்ததுபோல உணவைச்  சரியாக உண்ண முடியாமலும், தூங்க முடியாமலும் அவஸ்தைப்படுவார்களாம்.   சிலர் பைத்தியம் பிடித்ததுபோல அமைதியற்று இருப்பார்களாம்.

ஆனால் இங்கு நாம் பேதுருவைகுறித்து வாசிப்பது வித்தியாசமான காரியமாக இருக்கின்றது. மறுநாள் காலையில் ஏரோது தன்னை வெளியில் கொண்டுவந்து யாக்கோபைபோல கொலை செய்யப் போகின்றான் என்பது தெரிந்திருந்தும் எந்தப் பதட்டமும் இல்லாமல் இரண்டு சங்கிலிகளால் கட்டப்பட்டு இரண்டு காவலர்கள் நடுவே  நிம்மதியாகத் தூங்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றார் பேதுரு.

மரணத்தைக்கண்டும் சஞ்சலப்படாத அமைதி பேதுருவை நிறைத்திருந்தது. தன்னை விசுவாசிக்கும் அனைவருக்கும் இத்தகைய அமைதியைத்  தருவதாக இயேசு கிறிஸ்து வாக்களித்தார். "சமாதானத்தை உங்களுக்கு வைத்துப்போகிறேன், என்னுடைய சாமாதானத்தையே உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறேன்; உலகம் கொடுக்கிறபிரகாரம் நான் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறதில்லை. உங்கள் இருதயம் கலங்காமலும் பயப்படாமலும் இருப்பதாக." ( யோவான் 14 : 27 ). ஆம், சாவுக்கும் பயப்படாத இத்தகைய அமைதியை உலகம் கொடுக்கமுடியாது; கிறிஸ்து மட்டுமே கொடுக்க முடியும்.

இன்று மன அமைதிக்காக மனிதர்கள் நாடுவது மதுவைத்தான். மது குடித்து அமைதி பெற எண்ணுவது சற்றுநேர மன அமைதியைக் கொடுத்தாலும் அதன் விளைவுகள் ஏற்கெனவே உள்ள பிரச்சனையை அதிகரிக்குமேத் தவிர குறைத்திடாது. 

அன்பானவர்களே, கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு நம்மை முற்றிலும் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கும்போது உலக பிரச்சனைகள் நமக்குப் பெரிதாகத் தெரியாது. உயிர் போகும் நிலையில்கூட பல இரத்தச் சாட்சிகள் இதனால்தான் அமைதியாகத் தங்கள் உயிரைத் தியாகம் செய்தனர்.   காரணம், கர்த்தர் நமக்காக யுத்தம் பண்ணுவார் எனும் விசுவாசம். 

கொலைக்கு நியமிக்கப்பட்ட அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுருவை அமைதிப்படுத்தி நிம்மதியாகத் தூங்கப் செய்த தேவன், நம்மையும் இதுபோல பிரச்னைகளைக்கண்டு அஞ்சிடாமல்  அமைதியாக வாழச் செய்வார். பேதுருவுக்கு வந்ததுபோல உயிர்போகும் சோதனை நமக்கு வரப்போவதில்லை. எனவே தைரியமாக இருப்போம். ஏனெனில் கர்த்தருடைய பிள்ளைகளுக்காக யுத்தம் செய்ய  தேவனது கரம் எப்போதும் தயாராக இருக்கிறது. 

தேவனுக்கு நம்மை முற்றிலும் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து நிம்மதியாக வாழ்வோம். அவரே எல்லாவற்றையும் பார்த்துக்கொள்வார். யாத்திராகமம் நூலில் மோசே இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்குக் கூறியது நமக்கும் சேர்த்துதான். எனவே பிரச்னைகளைக்கண்டு கலங்கவேண்டாம்.  "கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்காக யுத்தம்பண்ணுவார்; நீங்கள் சும்மாயிருப்பீர்கள்". ( யாத்திராகமம் 14 : 14 )

The LORD shall fight for you

"And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison." ( Acts 12 : 6 )

King Herod killed the apostle James with a sword. Because it pleased the Jews, he next planned to kill the apostle Peter in the same way. So he arrested Peter and put him in prison and planned to kill him after the Passover. Today's verse tells about Peter who was imprisoned like that.

What we need to notice here is Peter's mindset. Imagine how we would be the night before if we were going to be beheaded tomorrow morning. How can we sleep peacefully?

What prison guards say about death row inmates has appeared in the press. From them we know that, the sentenced people will not sleep properly for about a week before the days of execution. They can't sleep. As if in a fit of mania, they will not be able to eat properly and sleep. Some people are restless like crazy.

But what we read about Peter here is a different matter. Knowing that Herod was going to bring him out the next morning and kill him like Jacob, Peter was sleeping peacefully between two guards, tied with two chains without any anxiety.

A peace undisturbed by death filled Peter. Jesus Christ promised to give such peace to all who believe in Him. "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." ( John 14 : 27 ) Yea, the world cannot give such peace that feareth not even death; Only Christ can give.

Today people turn to alcohol for peace of mind. Drinking alcohol to calm down may give you a momentary peace of mind, but its effects only exacerbate the existing problem, not reduce it.

Beloved, when we surrender ourselves completely to Christ, the problems of the world do not become too big for us. This is why many martyrs quietly sacrificed their lives even in the face of death. The reason is the faith that the Lord will fight for us.

God, who calmed the apostle Peter, who was appointed to kill, and let him sleep peacefully, will make us live peacefully without fear of problems. We are not going to be tested like Peter. So let's be brave. Because God's hand is always ready to fight for God's children.

Let us surrender ourselves completely to God and live in peace. He will take care of everything. What Moses said to the people of Israel in the book of Exodus is the same for us. So don't worry about problems. "The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace." ( Exodus 14 : 14 )

Love of money, which is the root of all evil.

"For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." ( 1 Timothy 6 : 10 )

There can only be two reasons behind all the injustices that happen in this world. They are the lust for money and another is the sin of adultery. The reason for desire for money is the desire to enjoy all the things in the world and the desire to be respected by everyone. That is why the apostle Paul wrote this to his disciple Timothy, warning him about this.

In the previous verse of today's verse, Paul writes:- "But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition." ( 1 Timothy 6 : 9 )

Look at the news in daily newspapers - murders, rapes, thefts, violence, children killed by the mother or left and run away with another man, killing the mother by the son, to top it all in this scientific age, human sacrifice, eating human flesh...you can read in the news.

The root cause of most of these crimes is the desire for money. The arrested criminal has confessed that he gave the human sacrifice as an instant rich. Yes, dear ones, that is why the scriptures warn us that lust for money is a sin.

Apostle Paul narrates the reasons thus:-  "And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient" ( Romans 1 : 28 ). That is, the reason for this is that there is no desire in the minds of people to know the true God.

Because they do not get the knowledge of knowing God, "being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers" ( Romans 1 : 29 ).

The scriptures do not say that earning money and working for it is wrong. Working for earning money is not wrong. Paul says that he who does not work should not eat. "For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat." ( 2 Thessalonians‍ 3 : 10 ) Lust for money is the obsession with accumulating more and more money and engaging in sinful activities for it.

"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." ( Hebrews 13 : 5 ) Yes, he who has the mindset that God will not leave us and protect us in any situation will hate the desire for money and live a righteous life.

Let us not cling to the love of money, which is the root of all evil. Only then can we maintain our faith without slipping away; Let us not pierce ourselves with many pains.

எல்லாத் தீமைக்கும் வேராயிருக்கிற பண ஆசை

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 631 ⛪ அக்டோபர் 20,  2022 வியாழக்கிழமை

"பண ஆசை எல்லாத் தீமைக்கும் வேராயிருக்கிறது; சிலர் அதை இச்சித்து, விசுவாசத்தைவிட்டு வழுவி, அநேக வேதனைகளாலே தங்களை உருவக் குத்திக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்." ( 1 தீமோத்தேயு 6 : 10 )

இந்த உலகத்தில் நடக்கும் அநியாயச் செயல்கள் அனைத்துக்கும் பின்னணியில் இருப்பவை இரண்டே இரன்டு காரணங்களாகத்தான் இருக்க முடியம். அவை பண ஆசை, இன்னொன்று விபச்சார பாவம்.  பண ஆசை ஏற்படக் காரணம், உலகத்திலுள்ளவைகள் அனைத்தையும் அனுபவித்துவிடவேண்டும் எனும் எண்ணமும் தங்களை எல்லோரும் மதிக்கவேண்டும் எனும் எண்ணமுமே.  எனவேதான் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் தனது சீடனான தீமோத்தேவுக்கு இது குறித்து எச்சரித்து இதனை எழுதுகின்றார். 

இன்றைய வசனத்தின் முந்தின வசனத்தில் பவுல் எழுதுகின்றார்:- "ஐசுவரியாவன்களாக விரும்புகிறவர்கள் சோதனையிலும் கண்ணியிலும், மனுஷரைக் கேட்டிலும் அழிவிலும் அமிழ்த்துகிற மதிகேடும் சேதமுமான பலவித இச்சைகளிலும் விழுகிறார்கள்."( 1 தீமோத்தேயு 6 : 9 )

இன்றைய செய்தித்தாள்களில் வெளிவரும் செய்திகளைப் பாருங்கள் - கொலைகள், கற்பழிப்புகள், திருட்டு, வன்முறைகள், பெற்ற குழந்தைகளைத் தாயே கொன்றுவிட்டு அல்லது தவிக்கவிட்டு இன்னொருவனுடன் ஓடிவிடுதல், பெற்ற தாயை மகனே கொலைசெய்தல், எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் சிகரமாக இந்த விஞ்ஞான காலத்திலும் நரபலி கொடுத்தல், மனித மாமிசத்தைச் சாப்பிடுதல் ..போன்ற அநியாய காரியங்கள்  நடப்பதை செய்திகளில் வாசிக்கலாம்.  

இவற்றில் பெரும்பாலான குற்றங்களுக்கு அடிப்படைக் காரணம் பண ஆசை. உடனடி செல்வந்தனாகவே நரபலி கொடுத்ததாக வாக்குமூலம் அளித்துள்ளான் கைதுசெய்யபட்டக் குற்றவாளி.  ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, எனவேதான் பண ஆசை பாவம் என்று வேதம் எச்சரித்துக் கூறுகின்றது.  

வேத அடிப்படையில் இவற்றுக்கான காரணத்தை அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் "தேவனை அறியும் அறிவைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டிருக்க அவர்களுக்கு மனதில்லாதிருந்தபடியால், தகாதவைகளைச் செய்யும்படி, தேவன் அவர்களைக் கேடான சிந்தைக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்." ( ரோமர் 1 : 28 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார். அதாவது மெய்த்தேவனை அறியவேண்டும் எனும் எண்ணமில்லாமல் இருப்பதே இவற்றுக்குக் காரணமாகும். 

இப்படித் தேவனை அறியும் அறிவைப் பெறாததால், "அவர்கள் சகலவித அநியாயத்தினாலும், வேசித்தனத்தினாலும், துரோகத்தினாலும், பொருளாசையினாலும், குரோதத்தினாலும் நிறையப்பட்டு; பொறாமையினாலும், கொலையினாலும், வாக்குவாதத்தினாலும், வஞ்சகத்தினாலும், வன்மத்தினாலும் நிறைந்தவர்களுமாய்," ( ரோமர் 1 : 29 ) இருக்கிறார்கள். 

பணம் சம்பாதிப்பதும் அதற்காக உழைப்பதும் தவறு என்று வேதம் கூறவில்லை. உழைக்காமல் இருப்பதுதான் தவறு. உழைக்காதவன் சாப்பிடவும் கூடாது என்கிறார் பவுல் அடிகள். "ஒருவன் வேலைசெய்ய மனதில்லாதிருந்தால் அவன் சாப்பிடவும் கூடாதென்று நாங்கள் உங்களிடத்தில் இருந்தபோது உங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டோமே."( 2 தெசலோனிக்கேயர் 3 : 10 ) என்கின்றார் அவர். பண ஆசை என்பது மேலும் மேலும் பணம் சேர்க்க வெறிகொண்டு அலைவதும் அவற்றுக்காக பாவ காரியங்களில் ஈடுபடுவதுமே.

"நீங்கள் பண ஆசையில்லாதவர்களாய் நடந்து, உங்களுக்கு இருக்கிறவைகள் போதுமென்று எண்ணுங்கள்; நான் உன்னைவிட்டு விலகுவதுமில்லை, உன்னைக் கைவிடுவதுமில்லை என்று அவர் சொல்லியிருக்கிறாரே." ( எபிரெயர் 13 : 5 ) ஆம், தேவன் நம்மைவிட்டு விலகாமல் இருந்து நம்மை எந்தச் சூழ்நிலையிலும் பாதுகாப்பார் எனும் எண்ணமுள்ளவன் பண ஆசையை வெறுத்து நீதியுள்ள வாழ்க்கை வாழ்வான். 

எல்லாத் தீமைக்கும் வேராயிருக்கிற பண ஆசை நம்மைப் பற்றிக்கொள்ளாமல் இருப்போம். அப்போதுதான் நாம்  நமது  விசுவாசத்தை விட்டு வழுவிடாமல் அதனைக்  காத்துக்கொள்ள முடியும்;  அநேக வேதனைகளாலே நம்மை நாமே உருவக் குத்திக்கொளாமல் இருப்போம்.

Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

"Grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 3:18)

In today's meditation verse, apostle Peter says that we must grow in two things.

1. To grow in the grace of Christ

2. To grow in the knowledge of Christ.

What we need to notice here is that Peter is not telling us that in the knowledge of Christ, but in the knowledge of Christ. There is a big difference between knowing someone and knowing about someone.

Take our Chief Minister for example. We all know about him. We know about him through newspaper reports and TV news. We know whose son he is, what his past experience is, what his skills are. How? The information we have learned about him in various ways.

In the same way many of us know about God today. We have come to know about God by reading the Bible, listening to various sermons, and being taught in Sunday Bible classes.

Knowing someone is different from this. In other words, in the example of our Chief Minister we saw earlier, his wife and son would know him personally, wouldn't they? His personal qualities, his personal love, will be experienced and known. That is, we know about him; They know him.

Peter says that we should know Christ personally. That is knowing God. God's personal love working in our lives, knowing what His will is and living in union with Him....this is knowing God.

Many of the Christians today do not know God but know about God as we know about the Chief Minister in the example we saw earlier. That is, they have learned the truths they have been taught about God and the truths they have read and understood. But there is no personal relationship with God. Only when we know God can we fully realize His love.

In today's verse, the apostle Peter says to grow in this knowledge. Peter, who wrote this as the final verse of his epistle, says as the opening verse of this epistle, "Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God and our Lord Jesus." (2 Peter 1:2). What Peter is saying is that when we know God and the Lord Jesus Christ like this, grace and peace will multiply in our lives.

Beloved, we must not merely live the Christian life in name, we must grow in knowing Christ and in his love. The first step is to reconcile with Him and experience redemption. He will reveal Himself to us when we confess our sins and transgressions to Christ and surrender ourselves completely to Christ. Only then can we know Him. Let us surrender to this experience. He will guide us to a higher spiritual life.

With Christ experience "Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." I congratulate you.

God's supreme blessings are ours when we are with Him

"Son, you are always with me, all that I have is yours." (Luke 15:31)

These are the words of the father to his eldest son in Jesus Christ's parable of the prodigal son. The younger son separated from his father and destroyed his property. The eldest son is with his father. But when the estranged younger son returns to his senses, the father organizes a feast to celebrate the joy. This gives grief to the eldest son.

He said to his father, "All these years I have served you and never disobeyed your command, but you never gave me a single lamb so that I could be happy with my friends. As soon as this son of yours comes, who destroyed your property among prostitutes, slaughter the fatted calf for him." ( Luke 15 : 29, 30 ) The Father says today's verse as an answer to him.

Beloved, this is the greatest blessing we receive when we are with God in the spiritual life. But we also fail to notice it like this elder son. Because we do not have wealth or worldly blessings like other worldly people, we wrongly think that God has done injustice to us. 

This father says to his eldest son, it is like a worldly rich man telling us that "all that I have is yours". But, most of the time we don't realize this. The scriptures say that we are aliens in this world. Our permanent abode is heaven. Jesus Christ has promised us as He said to the eldest son who lived to obey the Father in truth.

Yes, He wants us to be with Him in His glory. The sufferings of this world are not worthy of the glory to come. This is why apostle Paul wrote, "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."( Romans 8 : 18 )"

Jesus Christ also prays for us to attain that glorious bliss. Yes, "Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world." ( John 17 : 24 )

Not only that, He prayed, "That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us" ( John 17 : 21 ). What a great blessing these are!!!

Like the sad elder son, we are regretting that our worldly desires are not fulfilled and say, "you never gave me a lamb so that I could be happy with my friend."  Beloved, we are blessed to the full when we are always with Him. Because we are his sons and daughters. All that in his is ours. Therefore, looking at us, he says, "son, daughter, you are always with me, all that I have is yours".

Yes, God's supreme blessings are ours when we are with Him.

இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் கிருபையிலும் அவரை அறிகிற அறிவிலும் வளருங்கள்

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 630 ⛪ அக்டோபர் 19,  2022 புதன்கிழமை

"நம்முடைய கர்த்தரும் இரட்சகருமாகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் கிருபையிலும் அவரை அறிகிற அறிவிலும் வளருங்கள்." ( 2 பேதுரு 3 : 18 )

இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில் அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுரு இரண்டு காரியங்களில் நாம் வளரவேண்டும் என்று கூறுகின்றார். 

1. கிறிஸ்துவின் கிருபையில் வளரவேண்டும் 

2. கிறிஸ்துவை அறியும் அறிவில் வளரவேண்டும்.

இங்கு நாம் கவனிக்கவேண்டியது, பேதுரு நம்மிடம்  கிறிஸ்துவைப் பற்றி அறியும் அறிவில் என்று கூறாமல், கிறிஸ்துவை அறியும் அறிவில் என்று கூறுகின்றார். ஒருவரை அறிவதற்கும் ஒருவரைப்பற்றி அறிவதற்கும் மிகுந்த வித்தியாசம் உண்டு. 

உதாரணமாக நமது முதலமைச்சரை எடுத்துகொள்வோம். நாம் எல்லோரும் அவரைப்பற்றி அறிந்துள்ளோம். பத்திரிகை செய்திகள் மூலமும், தொலைக்காட்சி செய்திகள் மூலமும் அவரைப்பற்றி அறிந்துள்ளோம். அவர் யாருடைய மகன், அவரது பழைய அனுபவம் என்ன, அவரது திறமைகள் என்ன போன்ற செய்திகள் நமக்குத் தெரியும். எப்படி? அவரைப்பற்றி நாம் பல்வேறு முறைகளில் அறிந்துகொண்ட தகவல்கள். 

இதுபோலவே இன்று நம்மில் பலரும் தேவனைப்பற்றி அறிந்துள்ளோம். வேதாகமத்தை வாசிப்பதன்மூலம், பல்வேறு பிரசங்கங்களைக் கேட்பதன்மூலம், ஞாயிறு மறைக்கல்வி வகுப்புகளில் நமக்குக் கற்றுக்கொடுத்ததன்மூலம் நாம் தேவனைப்பற்றி அறிந்துள்ளோம்.

ஒருவரை அறிவது என்பது இதிலிருந்து வித்தியாசமானது. அதாவது நாம் முன்பு பார்த்த நமது முதலமைச்சர் உதாரணத்தில், நம்மைவிட அவரது மனைவி, மகன் இவர்கள் அவரை தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் அறிந்திருப்பார்கள் அல்லவா?. அவரது தனிப்பட்ட குணங்கள், தனிப்பட்ட அன்பு, இவற்றை அனுபவித்து அறிந்திருப்பார்கள். அதாவது நாம் அவரைப்பற்றி அறிந்துள்ளோம்; அவர்கள் அவரை அறிந்துள்ளனர்.

இதுபோல நாம் கிறிஸ்துவை தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் அறியவேண்டும் என்கின்றார் பேதுரு. அதுவே தேவனை அறிதல். தேவனது தனிப்பட்ட அன்பு நமது வாழ்வில் செயல்படுவது, அவரது விருப்பம் என்ன என்பதை அறிந்து வாழ்வது, அவரோடு ஒன்றித்து இருப்பது....இவையே தேவனை அறிவது.  

இன்று கிறிஸ்தவர்களில் பலரும் நாம் முன்பு பார்த்த உதாரணத்தில் முதலமைச்சரைப் பற்றி  நாம் அறிந்துள்ளதுபோல தேவனைப்பற்றி அறிந்து வைத்துள்ளனரேத் தவிர தேவனை அறியவில்லை. அதாவது தேவனைப்பற்றி தங்களுக்குச் சொல்லிக்கொடுக்கப்பட்ட சத்தியங்களையும்,    வாசித்து புரிந்துகொண்ட சத்தியங்களையும் தெரிந்துவைத்துக்கொண்டுள்ளனர். ஆனால், தேவனோடு தனிப்பட்ட தொடர்புல்லை.  தேவனை அறியும்போது மட்டுமே நாம் அவரது அன்பை பூரணமாக உணர்ந்துகொள்ள முடியும்.

இன்றைய வசனத்தில் அப்போஸ்தலரான பேதுரு இந்த அறிவில் வளருங்கள் என்று கூறுகின்றார். தனது நிருபத்தின் இறுதி வசனமாக இப்படி எழுதியுள்ள பேதுரு,   இந்த நிருபத்தின் துவக்க வசனமாக கூறுகின்றார், "தேவனையும் நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவையும் அறிகிற அறிவினால் உங்களுக்குக் கிருபையும் சமாதானமும் பெருகக்கடவது." ( 2 பேதுரு 1 : 2 ). அதாவது பேதுரு கூறவருவது, இப்படி தேவனையும் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவையும் நாம் அறியும்போது தான் கிருபையும் சமாதானமும் நமது வாழ்வில் பெருகும். 

அன்பானவர்களே, வெறுமனே பெயரளவில் கிறிஸ்தவ வாழ்க்கை வாழ்வதல்ல, கிறிஸ்துவை அறிந்து அவரது அன்பில் நாம் வளரவேண்டும். அதற்கு முதல்படிதான் அவரோடு ஒப்புரவாகி மீட்பு அனுபவம் பெறுவது. நமது பாவங்கள், மீறுதல்கள் இவற்றை கிறிஸ்துவிடம்  அறிக்கையிட்டு கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு நம்மை முற்றிலும் ஒப்படைத்துவிடும்போது அவர் தன்னை நமக்கு வெளிப்படுத்துவார்.  அப்போதுதான் நாம் அவரை அறியமுடியும். இந்த அனுபவத்தைப்பெற ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து வேண்டுவோம். மேலான ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் அவர் நம்மை நடத்துவார்.   

கிறிஸ்து அனுபவத்துடன் "நம்முடைய கர்த்தரும் இரட்சகருமாகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் கிருபையிலும் அவரை அறிகிற அறிவிலும் வளருங்கள்." என வாழ்த்துகின்றேன்.

அவரோடு இருக்கும்போது நமக்கு நிறைவான ஆசீர்வாதமுண்டு.

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 629 ⛪ அக்டோபர் 18,  2022 செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை

"மகனே, நீ எப்போதும் என்னோடிருக்கிறாய், எனக்குள்ளதெல்லாம் உன்னுடையதாயிருக்கிறது." ( லுூக்கா 15 : 31 )

இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறிய ஊதாரிமைந்தன் உவமையில் வரும் தகப்பன் தனது மூத்த மகனிடம் கூறும் வார்த்தைகளே இவை. இளைய மகன் தகப்பனைவிட்டுப் பிரிந்து சென்று சொத்துக்களையும் அழித்துவிட்டான். மூத்த மகனோ தகப்பனோடேயே இருக்கிறான். ஆனால் தகப்பனை விட்டுப் பிரிந்துசென்ற இளைய மகன் மனம் திரும்பி வரும்போது அந்த மகிழ்ச்சியைக் கொண்டாட  தகப்பன் விருந்து ஏற்பாடுசெய்கிறான்.  இது மூத்த மகனுக்கு மன வருத்தத்தைக் கொடுக்கின்றது.

அவன் தகப்பனிடம், "இத்தனை வருஷகாலமாய் நான் உமக்கு ஊழியஞ்செய்து, ஒருக்காலும் உம்முடைய கற்பனையை மீறாதிருந்தும், என் சிநேகிதரோடே நான் சந்தோஷமாயிருக்கும்படி நீர் ஒருக்காலும் எனக்கு ஒரு ஆட்டுக்குட்டியையாவது கொடுக்கவில்லை. வேசிகளிடத்தில் உம்முடைய ஆஸ்தியை அழித்துப்போட்ட உம்முடைய குமாரனாகிய இவன் வந்தவுடனே கொழுத்த கன்றை இவனுக்காக அடிப்பித்தீரே என்றான்." ( லுூக்கா 15 : 29, 30 ) அவனுக்குப் பதிலாகத்தான் இன்றைய வசனத்தைத் தகப்பன் கூறுகின்றான்.

அன்பானவர்களே, இதுதான் ஆவிக்குரிய வாழ்வில் நாம் தேவனோடு இருக்கும்போது கிடைக்கும் மிகப்பெரிய ஆசீர்வாதம். ஆனால் நாமும் இந்த மூத்த மகனைப்போல அதனைக் கவனிக்கத் தவறிவிடுகின்றோம். மற்ற உலக மனிதர்களைப்போல நமக்குச் செல்வமோ உலக ஆசீர்வாதமோ இல்லாததால் தவறுதலாக எண்ணி தேவனை நொந்துகொள்கின்றோம். 

எனக்குள்ளதெல்லாம்உன்னுடையதாயிருக்கிறது என்று உலகப் பணக்காரர் ஒருவர் நம்மிடம் சொல்வதைப்போல உள்ளது இந்தத்  தகப்பன் மூத்த மகனிடம் கூறுவது. ஆனால், பெரும்பாலான நேரங்களில் நாம் இதனை உணர்வதில்லை. இந்த உலகத்தில் நாம் பரதேசிகள் என்று வேதம் கூறுகின்றது. நமது நிரந்தரக் குடியிருப்பு பரலோகம்தான். உண்மையாய் தகப்பனுக்குக் கீழ்படிந்தது வாழ்ந்த மூத்தமகனுக்குக் கூறியதுபோல இயேசு கிறிஸ்து நமக்கும் வாக்களித்துள்ளனர். 

ஆம், அவரது மகிமையில் அவரோடுகூடநாம் இருக்க அவர் விரும்புகின்றார். இந்த உலகத்தின் பாடுகள் இனி வரும் மகிமைக்கு ஈடானவையல்ல. அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் அடிகள் இதனால்தான், "இக்காலத்துப் பாடுகள் இனி நம்மிடத்தில் வெளிப்படும் மகிமைக்கு ஒப்பிடத்தக்கவைகள் அல்லவென்று எண்ணுகிறேன்." ( ரோமர் 8 : 18 ) என்று கூறுகின்றார்.

அந்த மகிமைப் பேரின்பத்தை நாம் அடைந்திட இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவும் நமக்காக வேண்டுதல் செய்கின்றார். ஆம், "பிதாவே, உலகத்தோற்றத்துக்கு முன் நீர் என்னில் அன்பாயிருந்தபடியினால், நீர் எனக்குத் தந்த என்னுடைய மகிமையை நீர் எனக்குத் தந்தவர்கள் காணும்படியாக, நான் எங்கே இருக்கிறேனோ அங்கே அவர்களும் என்னுடனேகூட இருக்கவிரும்புகிறேன்." ( யோவான் 17 : 24 ) என்று நமக்காக ஜெபித்துள்ளார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து. 

மட்டுமல்ல, "நீர் என்னிலேயும் நான் உம்மிலேயும் இருக்கிறதுபோல அவர்களெல்லாரும் நம்மில் ஒன்றாயிருக்கவும் வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்." ( யோவான் 17 : 21 ) என்று வேண்டுகின்றார். இவை எவ்வளவு பெரிய ஆசீர்வாதம்!!!

"என் சிநேகிதரோடே நான் சந்தோஷமாயிருக்கும்படி நீர் ஒருக்காலும் எனக்கு ஒரு ஆட்டுக்குட்டியையாவது கொடுக்கவில்லை. "என வருத்தப்பட்ட மூத்தமகனைப்போல நாம் உலக ஆசைகள்  நிறைவேறவில்லை என வருந்திக்கொண்டிருக்கிறோம். அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் எப்போதும் அவரோடு இருக்கும்போது நமக்கு நிறைவான ஆசீர்வாதமுண்டு. காரணம், நாம் அவரது மகனாக, மகளாக இருக்கின்றோம். அவருக்குள்ளவைகளெல்லாம் நமக்குரியவைகளே.  எனவே, நம்மைப்பார்த்தும் அவர் கூறுகின்றார், மகனே, மகளே, நீ எப்போதும் என்னோடிருக்கிறாய், எனக்குள்ளதெல்லாம் உன்னுடையதாயிருக்கிறது. 

ஆம், தேவனுக்குரிய உன்னத ஆசீர்வாதங்கள் அவரோடு இருக்கும்போது நமக்கு நிச்சயமாக உண்டு.

அருமையான இரண்டு கருத்துக்கள்

 ஆதவன் 🖋️ 628 ⛪ அக்டோபர் 17,  2022 திங்கள்கிழமை

"இவ்வுலகத்திலுள்ள விபசாரக்காரர், பொருளாசைக்காரர், கொள்ளைக்காரர், விக்கிரகாராதனைக்காரர் இவர்களோடு எவ்வளவும் கலந்திருக்கக்கூடாதென்று நான் எழுதவில்லை; அப்படியானால் நீங்கள் உலகத்தைவிட்டு நீங்கிப்போகவேண்டியதாயிருக்குமே." ( 1 கொரிந்தியர் 5 : 10 )

கொரிந்து சபையில் விபச்சார பாவத்தில் ஈடுபட்ட ஒருவன் உறுப்பினராக இருந்ததை அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் கடிந்து கொண்டு அவனைக்குறித்துப் பல விஷயங்களைக் கூறிவிட்டுத் தொடர்ந்து  எழுதும்போது இன்றைய தியானத்துக்குரிய வசனத்தைக் கூறுகின்றார். 

இந்த உலகத்தில் விபச்சாரக்காரர், பொருளாசைக்காரர், கொள்ளைக்காரர், விக்கிரகாராதனைக்காரர் எல்லோருமே நிறைந்திருக்கிறார்கள். ஆவிக்குரிய அனுபவத்தோடு வாழ்பவர்கள் குறைவானவர்களே. எனவே நாம் மற்ற எல்லோரையுமே பாவிகள் என்று கருதி ஒதுக்கினால் இந்த உலகத்திலே நாம் வாழமுடியாது; நாம் உலகத்தைவிட்டு ஒதுங்கிப்போகவேண்டியிருக்கும்.  அப்படி ஒதுக்கினால் நாம் யாருக்கும் சுவிசேஷம் அறிவிக்கவும் முடியாது. எனவே அவர்களை ஒதுக்கவேண்டாம்.

இயேசு கிறிஸ்து பாவிகளோடும் ஆயக்காரரோடும்தான் அதிகநேரம் இருந்தார். "அவர் ஆயக்காரரோடும் பாவிகளோடும் போஜனம்பண்ணுகிறதை வேதபாரகரும் பரிசேயரும் கண்டு, அவருடைய சீஷரை நோக்கி: அவர் ஆயக்காரரோடும் பாவிகளோடும் போஜனபானம் பண்ணுகிறதென்னவென்று கேட்டார்கள்." ( மாற்கு 2 : 16  மற்றும் மத்தேயு 9:11, லூக்கா 5:30) "நோயாளிகளுக்கே மருத்துவர் தேவை" என்றார் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து.

அதாவது பவுல் அப்போஸ்தலர் கூற விரும்பும் கருத்து என்னவென்றால், நம் கருத்தை ஏற்காதவர்கள், பாவ வாழ்க்கை வாழ்பவர்கள் இவர்களோடுதான் இந்த உலகத்தில் நாம்வாழவேண்டும். எனவே, அவர்களை ஒட்டுமொத்தமாக ஒத்துக்கிடவேண்டாம். அப்படி ஒதுக்கினால் நாம் இந்த உலகத்தில் வாழமுடியாது.

ஆனால் தொடர்ந்து பவுல் அடிகள் எழுதுகின்றார், "நான் உங்களுக்கு எழுதினதென்னவென்றால், சகோதரனென்னப்பட்ட ஒருவன் விபசாரக்காரனாயாவது, பொருளாசைக்காரனாயாவது, விக்கிரகாராதனைக்காரனாயாவது, உதாசினனாயாவது, வெறியனாயாவது, கொள்ளைக்காரனாயாவது இருந்தால், அவனோடே கலந்திருக்கக்கூடாது; அப்படிப்பட்டவனுடனேகூடப் புசிக்கவுங்கூடாது." ( 1 கொரிந்தியர் 5 : 11 )

அன்பானவர்களே, பவுல் அடிகள் கூறவருவது இரண்டு கருத்துக்கள்.

1. இந்த உலகத்தில்  விபசாரக்காரர், பொருளாசைக்காரர், கொள்ளைக்காரர், விக்கிரகாராதனைக்காரர் எல்லோருமே நிறைந்திருக்கிறார்கள். அவர்களை ஒதுக்க வேண்டாம்.  அவர்கள் ஒருவேளை நம்மூலம் கிறிஸ்துவை அறிந்து மீட்பு பெறலாம்.

2.  சகோதரன் என்று கூறப்படும் ஒருவன் - அதாவது நான் இரட்சிக்கப்பட்டேன் மீட்பு பெற்றுள்ளேன் எனக் கூறும் ஒருவன் நமது சபையில் இருந்துகொண்டு அவன்  விபச்சாரம், பொருளாசை, கொள்ளை, விக்கிரகாராதனை செய்பவனாக இருந்தால் அவனோடு சேர்ந்திருக்கக்கூடாது , அவனோடு சாப்பிடக்கூடாது. சுருக்கமாகக் கூறுவதென்றால், கிறிஸ்துவை அறிந்தஒருவன் இத்தகைய பாவங்கள் செய்பனாக இருந்தால் அவனை முற்றிலும் நம்மைவிட்டு ஒதுக்கவேண்டும்.  

இப்படிப் பவுல் அடிகள் அவர்களை விலக்கச் சொல்லும் காரணம், புளிப்பு மாவு போன்ற அவர்கள் நம்மோடு இருப்பார்களானால் நம்மையும் அவர்களைப்போல பாவத்தினால் புளிக்க வைத்துவிடுவார்கள். 

"ஆகையால், நீங்கள் புளிப்பில்லாதவர்களாயிருக்கிறபடியே, புதிதாய்ப் பிசைந்தமாவாயிருக்கும்படிக்கு, பழைய புளித்தமாவைப் புறம்பே கழித்துப்போடுங்கள்." ( 1 கொரிந்தியர் 5 : 7 )

பவுல் அடிகள் கூறும் கருத்துக்களை நாம் கடைபிடித்தால், துன்மார்க்கருக்கு சுவிசேஷம் அறிவிக்க முடியும்; அத்துடன் அழுக்காகிப்போன நமது சபையைச்  சுத்தமாக்க முடியும்.
