🍒Meditation verse - யோவான் 12: 24 / John 12:24

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,538

'ஆதவன்' 💚ஏப்ரல் 23, 2025. 💚புதன்கிழமை 

"மெய்யாகவே மெய்யாகவே நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன், கோதுமை மணியானது நிலத்தில் விழுந்து சாகாவிட்டால் தனித்திருக்கும், செத்ததேயாகில் மிகுந்த பலனைக்கொடுக்கும்." ( யோவான் 12: 24)

உலக அதிசயங்களில் ஒன்றாக எகிப்தில் உள்ள பிரமிடுகள் கருதப்படுகின்றன.  பல ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகளுக்குமுன் மரணமடைந்த மன்னர்கள், பெரிய பதவிகளில் இருந்தவர்களை அடக்கம் செய்த கல்லறைகளே இந்தப் பிரமிடுகள். இங்கு அடக்கம்செய்யப்பட்ட மனிதர்கள் உயிர்பெற்று எழுவார்கள் என எகிப்தியர்கள் நம்பியதால் அவர்கள் உயிர்பெற்று எழும்போது உண்ணுவதற்கான உணவுப்பொருட்களை ஜாடிகளில் அடைத்து இந்தப்  பிரமிடுகளில் பத்திரப்படுத்தி வைத்திருந்தனர். 

இந்தப் பிரமிடுகளை ஆராய்ச்சி செய்ய விரும்பிய  ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்கள் இவற்றில் சில பிரமிடுகளை உடைத்து உள்ளே சென்று பார்த்தனர். அப்போது அங்கு ஜாடிகளில் அடைத்து வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த கோதுமை மணிகளைக் கண்டுபிடித்தனர். பல ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முற்பட்ட அந்தக் கோதுமை விதைகள் கெட்டுப்போகாமல் இருந்தன. அவற்றை மண்ணில் விதைத்தபோது அவை முளைத்து எழுந்தன. ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, மண்ணில் விழுந்து சாகாத கோதுமைமணி எத்தனை ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகள் ஆனாலும் தனித்தே இருக்கும். அதனால் எந்த பலனும் இல்லை.

நம் ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கூறிய உவமையினைப்போல  கோதுமைமணியான அவர்  மண்ணில் விழுந்து தன்னையே அழித்துக்கொண்டதால் இன்று அவரை விசுவாசித்து நித்திய ஜீவனை அடைந்தவர்களும், இப்போது இந்த உலகத்தில் கிறிஸ்து அனுபவத்துடன் வாழ்பவர்களும் கோடிக்கணக்கானபேர்களாக உலகம் முழுவதும் பரந்து காணப்படுகின்றனர். 

இன்று நம்மையும் அவர் இந்த அனுபவத்துக்கே அழைக்கின்றார். அதாவது அவரை விசுவாசித்து ஏற்றுக்கொண்ட கோதுமை மணியான நம்மில் சுயம் சாகவேண்டும் என்று கூறுகின்றார். நாம் வெறுமனே தன்னலத்தோடு  வாழ்ந்துகொண்டிருப்போமேயானால் நாம் எந்தப் பயனும் அற்றவர்களாகவே இருப்போம். ஆனால் நாம் கிறிஸ்துவுக்காக சுயத்தை இழப்போமென்றால் மிகுந்த பலனைக் கொடுப்பவர்களாக நாம் மாற முடியும். 

கிறிஸ்தவ உலகில் இப்படித் தங்களைக் கோதுமைமணிகளாக நிலத்தில் மடியச்செய்த பல பரிசுத்தவான்கள் உண்டு.  அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல் ஒரு கோதுமை மணி. பன்னிரண்டு அப்போஸ்தலர்களும் கோதுமை மணிகள்தான். இன்னும் பெயர் தெரியாத பல விசுவாசிகள் இப்படித் தங்களை கோதுமைமணிகளாக அழித்துக்கொண்டுள்ளனர்.  இதனால்தான் கிறிஸ்தவம் இரண்டாயிரம் ஆண்டுகளைக் கடந்த பின்னரும் உலகினில் தழைத்துக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றது. முதல் கோதுமை மணியான நமது ஆண்டவராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் விளைச்சலின் பலன்கள்தான் இது. 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நம்மால் பரிசுத்தவான்களைப்போல முற்றிலும் நம்மை இழக்க முடியாவிட்டாலும் நம்மால் முடிந்த அளவு சுயத்தை வெறுத்து கிறிஸ்துவுக்காக வாழ முயலுவோம். சுயத்தை வெறுப்பது என்பது உயிரை விடுவது என்று பொருளல்ல; மாறாக, உலக ஆசை இச்சைகளை முடிந்த அளவு விடுவது. கிறிஸ்துவை விசுவாசித்து ஏற்றுக்கொண்ட நாம் ஒவ்வொருவரும் ஒரு கோதுமை மணிதான்.  நாம் எகிப்திய பிரமிடுகளுக்குள்  அப்படியே இருந்த கோதுமை மணிகளாக இருந்துவிடவேண்டுமா அல்லது நிலத்தில் மடிந்து முப்பதாக, அறுபதாக, நூறாகப் பலன்தரவேண்டுமா என்பதனை நாம்தான் முடிவுசெய்ய வேண்டும். 

நாம் பயனுள்ள கோதுமைமணிகளாக வாழ முயலும்போது தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரின் பலம் நமக்குக் கிடைக்கும்.  "என் கிருபை உனக்குப்போதும்; பலவீனத்திலே என் பலம் பூரணமாய் விளங்கும்" (2 கொரிந்தியர் 12: 9) என்கிறார் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து.

Scripture Meditation - No. 1,538

AATHAVAN 💚 April 23, 2025 💚 Wednesday

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit." (John 12:24, KJV)

Among the wonders of the world, the pyramids of Egypt are considered one of the greatest marvels. These massive stone structures served as tombs for kings and high officials who died thousands of years ago. The Egyptians believed that the dead would one day rise again, and so they sealed food in jars inside these pyramids for the deceased to eat when they returned to life.

When researchers explored some of these pyramids, they discovered jars that contained grains of wheat. Amazingly, even after thousands of years, those seeds had not decayed. And when planted in the soil, they sprouted and grew. Yes, beloved, a grain of wheat that does not fall into the ground and die will remain alone, no matter how many years pass. It bears no fruit.

Just as our Lord Jesus Christ explained in His parable, He was that grain of wheat who fell into the ground and died. Because He gave Himself up, today there are countless people all over the world who believe in Him, have received eternal life, and are living a Christ-cantered life.

Now He is calling us to experience the same. That is, the grain of wheat—those who have believed in and accepted Him—must die to self. If we live selfishly, we remain unfruitful. But if we lose ourselves for Christ’s sake, we can become fruitful and bring forth much spiritual harvest.

Throughout the history of Christianity, many saints have lived as grains of wheat who fell into the ground. Apostle Paul was one such grain. The twelve apostles too were grains of wheat. Countless other believers, whose names we may not even know, have given up themselves like this. Because of them, Christianity has not only survived but flourished for over two thousand years. This is the fruit of the first grain of wheat—our Lord Jesus Christ.

Yes, beloved, even if we are unable to surrender ourselves entirely like the saints, let us at least strive to deny ourselves and live for Christ as much as we can. Denying self doesn’t mean giving up our life literally, but rather, letting go of worldly desires and lusts to the best of our ability. Every one of us who believes in and accepts Christ is a grain of wheat.

We must decide: Do we want to remain like the grain sealed inside the pyramids, or do we want to fall into the ground and yield fruit—some thirtyfold, some sixtyfold, some a hundredfold?

When we strive to live as fruitful grains of wheat, the strength of God’s Holy Spirit will be with us.

"My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9, KJV) – saith the Lord Jesus Christ.
