Meditation verse - மத்தேயு 6: 21 / Matthew 6:21

 வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,418

'ஆதவன்' 💚டிசம்பர் 26, 2024. 💚வியாழக்கிழமை

"உங்கள் பொக்கிஷம் எங்கேயிருக்கிறதோ அங்கே உங்கள் இருதயமும் இருக்கும்."( மத்தேயு 6: 21)

நாம் எதனை அதிகம் விரும்புகின்றோமோ அதனையே எண்ணிக்கொண்டிருப்போம். அதுவே நமது முழுநேர எண்ணமாக இருக்கும். அரசியலில் ஈடுபட்டு பதவிக்காக உழைப்பவர்கள் அதனையே தங்கள் இறுதி இலக்காக எண்ணிச் செயல்படுவார்கள். அவர்கள் பேச்சு, செயல்பாடுகள் முழுவதும் அதுபற்றியே இருக்கும். ஒரு பெண்ணைக் காதலிப்பவன் இரவும் பகலும் அவளது நினைவாகவே இருப்பான். அவளே அவனுக்கு எல்லாமாக இருக்கும். பணத்துக்காக அலைபவன் இரவுபகல் உறக்கமின்றி குடும்பத்தைக்கூட கவனிக்காமல் பணத்துக்காக அலைந்துகொண்டிருப்பான். 

இதுபோலவே, நாம் உண்மையாக தேவனிடம் அன்பு கொள்பவர்களாக இருப்போமானால் அவரைப்பற்றிய எண்ணமே நம்மில் மேலோங்கி அவர் விரும்புவதைச் செய்வதையே நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டு செயல்படுவோம். 

"என் படுக்கையின்மேல் நான் உம்மை நினைக்கும்போது, இராச்சாமங்களில் உம்மைத் தியானிக்கிறேன்." ( சங்கீதம் 63: 6) என்று தனது அனுபவத்தைக் கூறுகின்றார் தாவீது. அவர் யூதாவின் வனாந்தரத்தில் இருந்தபோது எழுதிய வார்த்தைகள் இவை என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. வனாந்தரம் என்பது காட்டுப்பகுதி. அங்கு சுகமாக வாழ்வதற்கோ, படுத்து இளைப்பாறுவதற்கோ வசதிகள் கிடையாது.  ஆனால் அந்தச் சூழ்நிலையிலும் அவர் தேவனைத் தியானிக்கின்றார் என்றால் அவரது மனம் தேவனால் நிரம்பியிருந்தது என்று பொருள். 

எப்போதும் நாம் தேவனையே நினைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தால் நமது சொந்த வேலைகளைக் கவனிப்பது எப்போது என்று சிலர் எண்ணலாம். ஆனால் அப்படி வேதத்தில்  கூறப்படவில்லை. நாம் என்ன உலக வேலை செய்தாலும் முன்னுரிமையினை தேவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும் என்றுதான் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. நமது இருதயம் நாம் செய்யும் வேலையை முன்னிலைப்படுத்தாமல் தேவனை முன்னிலைப்படுத்தவேண்டும். அப்படி நாம் வாழும்போது நமது உலகக் காரியங்களை அவர் வாய்க்கச்செய்வார். 

வேலை மட்டுமல்ல நமது எல்லா தேவைகளையும், பிரச்சனைகளையும் நாம் அணுகும்போதும் இப்படியே இருக்கவேண்டும். அதாவது, தேவைகள் பிரச்சனைகளை முன்னிலைப்படுத்தாமல் தேவனை நாம் முன்னிலைப் படுத்துபவர்களாக வாழவேண்டும். 

இதனையே இயேசு கிறிஸ்து, "முதலாவது தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தையும் அவருடைய நீதியையும் தேடுங்கள், அப்பொழுது இவைகளெல்லாம் உங்களுக்குக்கூடக் கொடுக்கப்படும்." ( மத்தேயு 6: 33) என்று கூறினார். அவரை நாம் மெய்யாக அன்பு செய்வோமானால் அவரது வார்த்தைகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களாக இருப்போம். அவரது வார்த்தைகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும்போது நம்மில் உறுதியான விசுவாசம் ஏற்படும். தேவன் என்னைக் கைவிடமாட்டார் என்று அவரை நம்பி, அவருக்கு முன்னுரிமை கொடுத்து உறுதியுடன் வாழ்வோம். 

அன்பானவர்களே, நமது பொக்கிஷம் எங்கேயிருக்கின்றது என்று நிதானித்துப் பார்ப்போம்.  நமது பிள்ளைகள், வேலை, தொழில் எதுவாக இருந்தாலும் அவை அனைத்தையும்விட நமது இருதயம் தேவனைச் சார்ந்து இருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். இதனையே உவமையாக இயேசு கிறிஸ்து,  "அன்றியும், பரலோகராஜ்யம் நிலத்தில் புதைத்திருக்கிற பொக்கிஷத்துக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறது; அதை ஒரு மனுஷன் கண்டு, மறைத்து, அதைப்பற்றிய சந்தோஷத்தினாலே போய், தனக்கு உண்டான எல்லாவற்றையும் விற்று, அந்த நிலத்தைக்கொள்ளுகிறான்." ( மத்தேயு 13: 44) என்று கூறினார். 

பரலோக பொக்கிஷத்தின்மேல் நாம் மெய்யான அன்புகொள்வோமானால் தனக்கு உண்டான எல்லாவற்றையும் விற்று, அந்த நிலத்தை உரிமையாக்கிய  மனிதனைப்போல நமக்கு உரியவற்றுக்கு இரண்டாமிடம் கொடுப்பவர்களாக இருப்போம். ஆம், நமது பொக்கிஷம் எங்கேயிருக்கிறதோ அங்கே நமது  இருதயமும் இருக்கும்

Scripture Meditation - No. 1,418

AATHAVAN 💚 December 26, 2024 💚 Thursday

"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

 (Matthew 6:21)

The things we love most dominate our thoughts. They become the focus of our lives. A person immersed in politics for power views it as their ultimate goal. Their conversations and actions are all aligned with that ambition. Similarly, a man in love constantly thinks about his beloved; she becomes everything to him. A person chasing wealth often sacrifices rest, ignoring even his family, in pursuit of money.

Likewise, if we truly love God, our thoughts will revolve around Him. We will act with a desire to fulfill His will. King David says, "When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches." (Psalm 63:6) These words were written while David was in the wilderness of Judah. A wilderness is a harsh, uninhabitable place, yet even in such conditions, David meditated on God. This shows that his heart was filled with God.

Some may wonder, "If we are always thinking about God, when will we focus on our responsibilities?" The Bible does not suggest neglecting our worldly duties but prioritizing God above all else. Our hearts should not center on our work or worldly pursuits but on God. When we live this way, God will guide and provide for all our needs.

This principle applies not only to work but also to every challenge and need we face. Instead of magnifying our problems or desires, we must elevate God in our lives.

Jesus Christ reinforced this by saying, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." (Matthew 6:33) If we truly love Him, we will embrace His words. Accepting His words strengthens our faith, enabling us to trust that God will never forsake us. We will prioritize Him and live confidently.

Beloved, let us examine where our treasure lies. Be it our children, jobs, or businesses, our hearts must be firmly anchored in God above all else. Jesus illustrated this truth with a parable: "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field." (Matthew 13:44)

If we genuinely love heavenly treasures, we will act like the man who sold everything to acquire the field. We will willingly give second place to everything else for the sake of God’s kingdom. Yes, where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
