Comforting New Year Message - ஏசாயா 43: 18, 19 / Isaiah 43:18-19

'ஆதவன்' 💚ஜனவரி 01, 2025. 💚புதன்கிழமை

"முந்தினவைகளை நினைக்கவேண்டாம்; பூர்வமானவைகளைச் சிந்திக்கவேண்டாம். இதோ, நான் புதிய காரியத்தைச் செய்கிறேன்; இப்பொழுதே அது தோன்றும்; நீங்கள் அதை அறியீர்களா? நான் வனாந்தரத்திலே வழியையும், அவாந்தரவெளியிலே ஆறுகளையும் உண்டாக்குவேன்." ( ஏசாயா 43: 18, 19)

அனைவருக்கும் ஆதவனின் புத்தாண்டு நல்வாழ்த்துக்கள்!

புதிய ஆண்டுக்குள் நாம் நுழைந்துள்ளோம். இனி நமது சிந்தனைகளும் எண்ணங்களும் புதியனவாக இருக்கவேண்டும் என்று தேவன் விரும்புகின்றார். 

முந்தின நாட்களில் நாம் செய்துவந்த பாவகரமான எண்ணங்களையும்  செயல்களையும் அகற்றி  புதியனவற்றை சிந்திப்பவர்களாகவும் செய்பவர்களாகவும் நாம் இருக்கவேண்டும். நமது சிந்தனைகளும் செயல்களும் புதிதாகும்போது கர்த்தர் நமது வாழ்வில் புதிய காரியங்களைச் செய்து நம்மை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார். 

மட்டுமல்ல, ஒருவேளை கடந்த ஆண்டில் நமது வாழ்வில் சில விரும்பத்தகாத காரியங்கள் நடந்திருக்கலாம். அவைகளை எண்ணி நாம் கலங்கிக்கொண்டிருக்க வேண்டாம். "இதோ, நான் புதிய காரியத்தைச் செய்கிறேன்" என்கிறார் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர். 

வேலையின்மை, அதன் தொடர்ச்சியான வறுமை, கடன் பிரச்சனைகள், தீராத நோய்கள் போன்றவை நமது வாழ்வை வனாந்தரமாக மாற்றியிருக்கலாம்.  வாழ்வை எப்படித் தொடர்வோம் என நாம் அங்கலாய்த்துக் கொண்டிருக்கலாம். ஆனால் தேவன் கூறுகின்றார், "நான் வனாந்தரத்திலே வழியையும், அவாந்தரவெளியிலே ஆறுகளையும் உண்டாக்குவேன்." என்று. 

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, தேவனுடைய கைகள் குறுகியவையல்ல. ஐந்து அப்பங்களையும் இரண்டு மீன்களையும் கொண்டு ஐயாயிரம் பேரை வயிறார உண்ணச்செய்தவர் அவர். தனது கைகளை நீட்டியும் தனது வாயின் வார்த்தைகளினாலும் பல்வேறு நோய்களைக் குணமாகியவர். 

நம்பமுடியாத சூழ்நிலையிலும் எந்த நம்பிக்கையுமற்ற வேளையிலும் தேவனது கரம் நமக்கு உதவிடமுடியும். அந்த உதவியும் நாம் எதிர்பார்த்திராத வகையில் நமக்கு வந்து சேரும். எலிசா மூலம் தேவன் கூறினார், "நீங்கள் காற்றையும் காணமாட்டீர்கள், மழையையும் காணமாட்டீர்கள்; ஆனாலும் நீங்களும் உங்கள் ஆடுமாடுகளும் உங்கள் மிருகஜீவன்களும் குடிக்கும்படிக்கு, இந்தப் பள்ளத்தாக்கு தண்ணீரால் நிரப்பப்படும் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்." (2 இராஜாக்கள் 3: 17) அதுபோலவே செய்துமுடித்தார். 

மட்டுமல்ல, எலிசா யோசாபாத்திடம் கூறினார், "இது கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்கு அற்பகாரியம்; மோவாபியரையும் உங்கள் கையிலே ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பார்." (2 இராஜாக்கள் 3: 18) என்று. அதுபோலவே மோவாபியர் யோசபாத்திடம் தோல்வியுற்றனர். ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, மோவாபியரைப்போன்று நமக்கு எதிராக இருக்கும்  காரியங்கள் கர்த்தரின் அற்புதமான செயல்களினால் நமக்குச் சாதகமாக முடியும். 

எனவே இந்த ஆண்டினை நம்பிக்கையுடன் தொடங்குவோம். கர்த்தரின் வல்லமைமிக்க கரம் நம்மோடுகூட இருந்து நம்மை வழிநடத்தும். "இதோ, நான் புதிய காரியத்தைச் செய்கிறேன்; இப்பொழுதே அது தோன்றும்; நீங்கள் அதை அறியீர்களா? நான் வனாந்தரத்திலே வழியையும், அவாந்தரவெளியிலே ஆறுகளையும் உண்டாக்குவேன்." என்கிறார் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்.

Scripture Meditation - No: 1,424

AATHAVAN 💚 January 01, 2025. 💚 Wednesday

"Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." (Isaiah 43:18-19, KJV)

Greetings to all from AATHAVAN for a blessed New Year!

As we step into the new year, God desires that our thoughts and intentions should also become new.

We must set aside sinful thoughts and actions of the past and strive to be people who think and act afresh. When our thoughts and deeds are renewed, the Lord will do new things in our lives and bless us abundantly.

Moreover, if the past year brought undesirable events into our lives, we should not dwell on them and be disheartened. The Lord declares, "Behold, I will do a new thing."

Perhaps unemployment, persistent poverty, debt issues, or chronic illnesses have turned our lives into a wilderness. We may feel hopeless about how to move forward. But God assures us: "I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."

Yes, beloved, God's hands are not shortened. He is the one who fed five thousand people with five loaves and two fishes. He is the one who healed various diseases through His outstretched hands and the power of His spoken word.

Even in impossible situations and times of hopelessness, the hand of God can intervene to help us. His help often comes in ways we do not anticipate. As Elisha declared through the Lord, "Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts." (2 Kings 3:17, KJV). And it happened exactly as promised.

Furthermore, Elisha said to Jehoshaphat, "This is but a light thing in the sight of the LORD: he will deliver the Moabites also into your hand." (2 Kings 3:18, KJV). Accordingly, the Moabites were defeated before Jehoshaphat.

In the same way, situations or challenges that stand against us like the Moabites can be turned around by God's miraculous acts for our benefit.

Let us, therefore, begin this year with faith and hope. The mighty hand of the Lord will guide us and lead us. He says: "Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."
