"விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳
வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1664 ஆதவன் 28.08.2025 வியாழன்
"இதோ, சமாதானத்துக்குப் பதிலாக மகா கசப்பு வந்திருந்தது, தேவரீரோ என் ஆத்துமாவை நேசித்து அழிவின் குழிக்கு விலக்கினீர்; என் பாவங்களையெல்லாம் உமது முதுகுக்குப் பின்னாக எறிந்துவிட்டீர்." ( ஏசாயா 38 : 17 )
பிளவை நோயால் அவதியுற்று மரணப் படுக்கையில் இருந்த எசேக்கியா ராஜா தேவனுக்கு ஏற்புடைய வாழ்க்கை வாழ்ந்தவர்தான்; தேவனுக்கென்று வைராக்கியமாகச் சில செயல்பாடுகளை மேற்கொண்டவர்தான். ஆனால் பிளவைநோய் முற்றி இனி அவர் பிழைக்கமாட்டார் எனும் நிலை ஏற்பட்டது. ஏசாயா தீர்க்கதரிசிமூலம் இந்தச் செய்தி தீர்க்கதரிசனமாக அவருக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது. அப்போது எசேக்கியா தனது முகத்தைத் தான் படுத்திருந்த கட்டிலின் அருகிலிருந்த சுவர்ப்புறமாகத் திருப்பி தேவனிடம் விண்ணப்பம் செய்து அழுதார்.
"ஆ கர்த்தாவே, நான் உமக்கு முன்பாக உண்மையும் மனஉத்தமமுமாய் நடந்து, உமது பார்வைக்கு நலமானதைச் செய்தேன் என்பதை நினைத்தருளும் என்று விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணினான். எசேக்கியா மிகவும் அழுதான்." ( 2 இராஜாக்கள் 20 : 3 ) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. தேவன் எசேக்கியாவின் ஜெபத்தைக் கேட்டு அவருக்குச் சுகம் கொடுத்தார். அப்போது எசேக்கியா மனமகிழ்ச்சியுடன் கூறுகின்ற வார்த்தைகளே இன்றைய தியான வசனம்.
இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில், "நான் தேவனுக்கென்று பல நல்ல செயல்பாடுகளைச் செய்தேன். அதனால் எனக்குச் சமாதானம் கிடைக்குமென்று எண்ணினேன் ஆனால் சமாதானத்துக்குப் பதிலாக மகா கசப்பு வந்திருந்தது". என்கின்றார் அவர். ஆம், உயிர் போகத்தக்க மிகப்பெரிய கசப்பான நிலைமை அவருக்கு வந்திருந்தது. ஆனால், "தேவரீரோ என் ஆத்துமாவை நேசித்து அழிவின் குழிக்கு விலக்கினீர்" என்று அவர் தொடர்ந்து கூறுகின்றார். மட்டுமல்ல, "என் பாவங்களையெல்லாம் உமது முதுகுக்குப் பின்னாக எறிந்துவிட்டீர்" என்று தனது பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்ட உறுதியினையும் பெற்றுக்கொண்டதாகக் கூறுகின்றார்.
இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தின்மூலம் நாம் உணர்ந்துகொள்ளும் உண்மைகள் பல. அதாவது, தேவனுக்கு ஏற்ற வாழ்வினை நாம் வாழ்வதால் நமது வாழ்வில் எப்போதும் நோய்நொடியில்லாத சாமாதானம் நிலவும் என்று எண்ணிக்கொள்ள முடியாது. அவை மனித வாழ்வில் இயற்கை. ஆனால், தேவன் அந்தக் கசப்பான சூழ்நிலைகளை மாற்றி நம்மை வாழவைப்பார். அந்த விசுவாசத்தோடு நாம் வாழ்வைத் தொடரவேண்டியது அவசியம்.
இரெண்டாவது, எந்தச் சூழ்நிலையிலும் நமது ஜெப வாழ்வை விட்டுவிடக்கூடாது. எசேக்கியா ராஜா ஜெபித்ததுபோல கண்ணீரோடு உள்ளத்தின் ஆழத்திலிருந்த்து ஜெபிக்கும் ஜெபத்துக்குத் தேவன் பதிலளிப்பவராக இருக்கின்றார்.
மூன்றாவது, எசேக்கியா தேவனுக்கென்று வைராக்கியமாகச் சில செயல்பாடுகளை ஏற்கெனவேச் செய்திருந்தார். "அவன் தன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீது செய்தபடியெல்லாம் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்தான். அவன் மேடைகளை அகற்றி, சிலைகளைத் தகர்த்து, விக்கிரகத்தோப்புகளை வெட்டி, மோசே பண்ணியிருந்த வெண்கலச் சர்ப்பத்தை உடைத்துப்போட்டான்; அந்நாட்கள்மட்டும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் அதற்குத் தூபங்காட்டி வந்தார்கள்; அதற்கு நிகுஸ்தான் என்று பேரிட்டான்." ( 2 இராஜாக்கள் 18 : 3, 4 ) என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. இப்படி நாமும் தேவனுக்கென்று உறுதியாகச் செயல்படுபவர்களாக இருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம்.
இப்படி இருந்ததால், "தேவரீரோ என் ஆத்துமாவை நேசித்து அழிவின் குழிக்கு விலக்கினீர்; என் பாவங்களையெல்லாம் உமது முதுகுக்குப் பின்னாக எறிந்துவிட்டீர்." என்று கூறுகின்றார் எசேக்கியா. ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, எசேக்கியாவைப்போல, தேவன்மேல் உறுதியான விசுவாசம், தேவனுக்கென்று வைராக்கியமான செயல்பாடுகள், சூழ்நிலைகளைக் கண்டு கலங்கிடாமல் விசுவாசத்தோடு ஜெபிக்கும் குணம் உள்ளவர்களாக வாழ்வோமானால் தேவன் நமது வாழ்வின் கசப்புகளை மாற்றி நம்மை மகிழச்செய்வார். பாவ மன்னிப்பின் சந்தோஷத்தை நாம் அனுபவித்து மகிழக் கிருபையாய் உதவிடுவார்.

“Inside
the Seeds” 🌳
Scripture Meditation No. 1664
Aathavan – Thursday, 28.08.2025
“Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in
love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all
my sins behind thy back.” (Isaiah 38:17, KJV)
King Hezekiah, who was afflicted with a grievous boil and lay
on his deathbed, was one who lived a life pleasing to God. He had carried out
certain zealous works for the Lord. Yet, when the sickness grew worse, the
prophecy came through Isaiah that he would not recover, but die. At that
moment, Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall and prayed earnestly, weeping
before God.
“I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked
before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good
in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.” (2 Kings 20:3, KJV). God heard his
prayer and granted him healing. The words of rejoicing that flowed from
Hezekiah’s heart after his recovery are recorded in today’s verse.
Hezekiah confessed, “I thought peace would follow my good
deeds for God, but instead of peace, great bitterness came.” Yes, he faced
the bitterness of a situation where life itself was slipping away. Yet he
continued, “But thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of
corruption.” Moreover, with assurance, he declared, “For thou hast cast
all my sins behind thy back.”
Through this verse, we learn some vital truths:
- A
life pleasing to God does not mean we will never face sickness or trouble. Illness and trials are part of
human life. Yet God is able to turn those bitter experiences into life and
restoration when we trust Him.
- Prayer
must never be abandoned in any situation. Like Hezekiah, who prayed with
tears from the depth of his heart, we too must pray earnestly. God is the
One who hears and answers such prayers.
- Zealous
works for God are important. Concerning Hezekiah, it is written: “And he did that
which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his
father did. He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down
the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made:
for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he
called it Nehushtan.” (2 Kings 18:3–4, KJV). Likewise, we too must
live with a firm zeal for God’s cause.
Because of this, Hezekiah could say with confidence: “Thou
hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption; for thou hast
cast all my sins behind thy back.”
Dearly beloved, like Hezekiah, if we live with unwavering
faith in God, zealous works for Him, and a prayer life that does not waver in
trials, the Lord will turn our bitterness into joy. He will grant us the
blessing of forgiveness and the joy of salvation.
