🦋Meditation verse - லுூக்கா 7 : 8 / Luke 7:8

 "விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1660                                           ஆதவன் 24.08.2025 ஞாயிறு  

"நான் அதிகாரத்துக்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டவனாயிருந்தும், எனக்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டிருக்கிற சேவகருமுண்டு; நான் ஒருவனைப் போவென்றால் போகிறான், மற்றொருவனை வாவென்றால் வருகிறான், என் வேலைக்காரனை, இதைச் செய்யென்றால் செய்கிறான்....." ( லுூக்கா 7 : 8 )

நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதி ஒருவன் கூறிய வார்த்தைகளே இன்றைய தியான வசனமாக அமைந்துள்ளது. அந்த அதிபதியின் வேலைக்காரன் நோய்வாய்ப்பட்டு படுக்கையில் இருந்தான். அந்த நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதி  இயேசுவைக்குறித்துக் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, அவர் வந்து தன் வேலைக்காரனைக் குணமாக்கவேண்டுமென்று, அவரை வேண்டிக்கொள்ளும்படி யூதருடைய மூப்பரை அவரிடத்தில் அனுப்பினான். அவர்கள் வந்து அதனைக் கூறியபோது இயேசு அவர்களுடன் அந்த நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதி வீட்டிற்குச் சென்றார். 

இயேசு தனது வீட்டிற்கு வருகின்றார் என்று கேள்விப்பட்ட அவன், தன் சிநேகிதரை நோக்கி: "நீங்கள் அவரிடத்தில் போய் நீர் எனது வீட்டிற்கு வர தான் தகுதியற்றவன்"  என்று கூறச் சொன்னதுமன்றி அவர் வீணாக அலைந்து சிரமப்படவேண்டாம், அவர் ஒரு வார்த்தை மட்டும் சொன்னால் போதும் எனது வேலைக்காரன் குணமாவான் என்று தனது விசுவாசத்தை அறிக்கையிடுகின்றான். மேலும், "நான் அதிகாரத்துக்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டவனாயிருந்தும், எனக்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டிருக்கிற சேவகருமுண்டு; நான் ஒருவனைப் போவென்றால் போகிறான், மற்றொருவனை வாவென்றால் வருகிறான், என் வேலைக்காரனை, இதைச் செய்யென்றால் செய்கிறான்....." என்று கூறுகின்றான். 

ஆம், இந்த நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதி நமக்கு ஒரு மிகப்பெரிய பாடமாக இருக்கின்றான். நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதி என்றால் நூறுபேர்கொண்ட படைப்பிரிவு வீரர்களுக்குத் தலைவன் என்று பொருள். இந்நாட்களில் காவல்துறையினர் செய்துவரும் பணிகளையும் அந்தக்காலத்தில் படைவீர்கள்தான் செய்துவந்தனர். இப்படிப் படைகளுக்குத் தலைவர்களாக இருப்பவர்கள் பெரும்பாலும் இரக்கமற்றவர்களாகவே இருப்பர். ஆனால் இந்தத் தலைவன் தனது வேலைகாரனது நோயினை தனது பிள்ளையின் நோய்போலவே  எண்ணி இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவிடம் நோயினைக் குணப்படுத்த வேண்டும் இரக்க குணமுள்ளவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.   

படைத்தலைவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்  பணிபுரிபவர்கள் அவன் இடும் கட்டளைகளுக்குக் கீழ்படியவேண்டியது அவசியம். இதனையே அவன், "நான் ஒருவனைப் போவென்றால் போகிறான், மற்றொருவனை வாவென்றால் வருகிறான், என் வேலைக்காரனை, இதைச் செய்யென்றால் செய்கிறான்" என்று கூறுகின்றான். அற்ப அதிகாரம்கொண்ட மனிதனாகிய நான் சொல்வதையே எனது கீழ் பணிசெய்பவர்கள் கேட்கின்றார்கள், அப்படியென்றால் இந்த உலகையே படைத்து ஆளும் உமது  வார்த்தைக்கு எத்தனை பெரிய வல்லமை இருக்கும்!!! எனவே, "நீர் வீணாக அலையவேண்டாம், இருக்குமிடத்திலிருந்தே  ஒரு வார்த்தை மட்டும் சொன்னால் போதும், எனது வேலைக்காரன் குணமாவான்" என்கின்றான் அவன்.  எத்தனை பெரிய விசுவாசம்!

"இயேசு இவைகளைக் கேட்டு அவனைக் குறித்து ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு, திரும்பி, தமக்குப் பின்செல்லுகிற திரளான ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: இஸ்ரவேலருக்குள்ளும் நான் இப்படிப்பட்ட விசவாசத்தைக் காணவில்லை என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்." ( லுூக்கா 7 : 9 )

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, பெரிய பதவியில் இருந்தாலும் தனது வேலைக்காரர்களை மனித மாண்போடு நடத்தியது, வேலைக்கார்களது துன்பத்தைத் தனது துன்பமாகப் பார்த்தது, இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் வல்லமையை முழுமையாக உணர்ந்துகொண்டது, தான் தனது வீட்டிற்குள் இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை வரவழைக்கத் தகுதியில்லாதவன் என்று தன்னைத் தாழ்த்தியது...இவையே இந்த நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதி நமக்குத் தரும் பாடம். இத்தகைய குணங்கள் நமக்கு இருக்குமானால் அவனைக்குறித்து ஆச்சரியப்பட்டதுபோல இயேசு நம்மைக்குறித்தும் ஆச்சரியப்படுவார்; நமது வாழ்வில் அற்புதங்களையும் செய்வார்.

"Inside the Seeds" 🌳

Scripture Meditation No. 1660
AATHAVAN – Sunday, 24.08.2025

"For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers: and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it." (Luke 7:8)

The words spoken by the centurion form today’s meditation verse. His servant was grievously sick and at the point of death. When the centurion heard of Jesus, he sent the elders of the Jews, beseeching Him that He would come and heal his servant. Jesus went with them toward the centurion’s house.

But when the centurion heard that Jesus was coming, he sent friends to Him, saying: “Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof: Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.” (Luke 7:6-7). Then he declared his faith: “For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers: and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.” (Luke 7:8)

Yes, the centurion sets before us a great lesson. A centurion was the commander of one hundred soldiers. In those days, soldiers often carried out roles similar to today’s police. Such leaders were usually harsh and ruthless. Yet, this man showed great compassion, treating his servant’s sickness as though it were the sickness of his own child, and sought Jesus Christ for healing.

He understood authority well. If he, as a mere man with limited power, could command and his soldiers obey instantly, how much greater must be the authority of the Lord of heaven and earth! Thus he confessed: “Say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.” What a tremendous faith!

"When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel." (Luke 7:9)

Beloved, though he held a high position, he treated his servants with dignity, felt their pain as his own, recognized the unlimited power of Christ, and humbled himself as unworthy to receive Him under his roof. These are the lessons this centurion leaves us. If we also cultivate such qualities, then just as Jesus marvelled at him, He too will marvel at us and perform wonders in our lives.
