🦋 Meditation verse - லுூக்கா 13 : 24 / Luke 13:24

"விதைகளின் உள்ளே" 🌳 

வேதாகமத் தியானம் எண் - 1661                                          ஆதவன் 25.08.2025 திங்கள்   

"இடுக்கமான வாசல்வழியாய் உட்பிரவேசிக்கப் பிரயாசப்படுங்கள், அநேகர் உட்பிரவேசிக்க வகைதேடினாலும் அவர்களாலே கூடாமற்போகும் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்." ( லுூக்கா 13 : 24 )

சில முக்கிய நிகழ்ச்சிகள் நடைபெறும்போது நிகழ்ச்சி அரங்கத்துக்குள் மிக முக்கியமான நபர்கள் (VIPs) நுழைந்திட தனி வாசல் வைத்திருப்பார்கள். அந்த வாசல் மற்ற பொதுமக்கள் நுழையும் வாசலைவிடக் குறுகியதாக இருக்கும். அந்த வாயில்வழியே அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட முக்கியமான நபர்கள் மட்டுமே நுழையமுடியும். 

பரலோக வாசலும் இப்படித் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட மக்களுக்கான குறுகிய வழியாகவே இருக்கின்றது. அந்த இடுக்கமான  வழி நித்தியஜீவனுக்கும் அகன்ற வழி நித்திய அழிவின் கேட்டிற்கும் கொண்டுசெல்வதாக இருக்கின்றது. இன்றைய தியான வசனம் மத்தேயு நற்செய்தியில் சற்று விரிவாக, "இடுக்கமான வாசல்வழியாய் உட்பிரவேசியுங்கள்; கேட்டுக்குப்போகிற வாசல் விரிவும், வழி விசாலமுமாயிருக்கிறது; அதின் வழியாய்ப் பிரவேசிக்கிறவர்கள் அநேகர். ஜீவனுக்குப்போகிற வாசல் இடுக்கமும், வழி நெருக்கமுமாயிருக்கிறது; அதைக் கண்டுபிடிக்கிறவர்கள் சிலர்." ( மத்தேயு 7 : 13, 14 ) என்று உள்ளது கவனிக்கத்தக்கது. 

இந்த அகன்ற மற்றும் குறுகிய இரு வழிகளும் நமது உலக வாழ்க்கையிலேயே ஆரம்பமாகிவிடுகின்றன. நாம் இந்த உலகத்தில் செல்வச்  செழிப்பையும், பகட்டையும் விரும்பி,  துன்மார்க்க சிற்றின்ப செயல்பாடுகளிலும் ஈடுபட்டு இந்த உலக இன்பமே மேலானது என எண்ணிப் பாவ வாழ்க்கையிலேயே  வாழ்வோமானால் நாம் விரிந்த வாசலில் நுழைந்திட விரைந்துகொண்டிருக்கின்றோம் என்று பொருள். மாறாக,  தேவனுக்கு ஏற்புடைய வாழ்க்கை வாழ்ந்து அவரோடு ஐக்கியம் கொண்டவர்களாக,  உலக செல்வத்தைவிட தேவன்மேல் பற்றுதல்கொண்டவர்களாக, பாவகாரியங்களை வெறுத்து வாழ்வோமானால் குறுகிய வாசலை நோக்கிச் செல்கின்றோம் என்று பொருள்.  

இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தில், இடுக்கமான வாசல்வழியே  உட்பிரவேசிக்க அநேகர் வகைதேடினாலும் அவர்களாலே கூடாமற்போகும் என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. இது ஏன்? அன்பானவர்களே, ஒரு சிறிய மனிதன் நுழையக்கூடிய அளவேயுள்ள வாசல் வழியே ஒரு பெரிய யானை நுழைய முடியாதல்லவா? இதுபோலவே, உலகச் செல்வத்தில் திளைத்துப்  பாவ வாழ்க்கையில் கொழுத்த பாவ மனிதனால் அந்த இடுக்கமான வாசல் வழியே நுழைய முடியாது. அதாவது, ஒருவனது பாவ வாழ்வே அவன் அந்த வாசலில் நுழைவதற்குத் தடையாக அமைந்துவிடுகின்றது. இது மனிதன் அவனாகத் தனக்கு  ஏற்படுத்திக்கொண்ட கேடு. 

இதற்கு மாறாக, உடற்பயிற்சி செய்வதுபோல தனது ஆவிக்குரிய ஓட்டத்தை நல்லமுறையில் ஓடி, உணவுக் கட்டுப்பாடு செய்வதுபோல தனது உடலையும் மனத்தையும் ஒடுக்கி பாவத்துக்கு விலக்கி வாழும் மனிதன் எளிதாக அந்த இடுக்கமான வாசல்வழியே நுழைந்துவிடுவான். ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, தன்னை ஒடுக்கி நூலாக மாற்றிக்கொள்பவன் ஊசி அளவு வாயிலுக்குள்ளும் எளிதில் நுழைந்து நித்திய ஜீவனுக்குள் சென்றுவிடுவான். 

இந்தச் சிந்தனை இருந்ததால்தான் அப்போஸ்தலரான பவுல், "ஆதலால் நான் நிச்சயமில்லாதவனாக ஓடேன்; ஆகாயத்தை அடிக்கிறவனாகச் சிலம்பம்பண்ணேன். மற்றவர்களுக்குப் பிரசங்கம்பண்ணுகிற நான்தானே ஆகாதவனாய்ப் போகாதபடிக்கு, என் சரீரத்தை ஒடுக்கிக் கீழ்ப்படுத்துகிறேன்." ( 1 கொரிந்தியர் 9 : 26, 27 ) என்கின்றார். ஆம், இடுக்கமான வாயில்வழியே நுழைய முடியாமல் கொழுத்தவர்களாக மாறி  ஆகாதவர்களாக நாம் போகாதபடிக்கு ஆவிக்குரிய நமது வாழ்வை தேவனுக்கு ஏற்றதாக, மெலிவானதாக மாற்றுவோம். அதற்கான ஆத்தும சரீர முயற்சிகளில் ஈடுபடுவோம்.

Scripture Meditation No. 1661 

AATHAVAN – Monday, 25.08.2025

"Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able." (Luke 13:24)

In important events, special entrances are often reserved for Very Important Persons (VIPs). Such doors are usually smaller or narrower than the general entrance. Only the approved and recognized persons can go through them.

Heaven’s gate is also like this—a narrow way for the chosen ones. The strait gate leads to eternal life, while the broad way leads to eternal destruction. Today’s verse is more fully explained in Matthew: “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” (Matthew 7:13–14).

These two ways—the broad and the narrow—begin even in this earthly life. If we desire wealth, luxury, and sinful pleasures, living as though worldly joy is the highest goal, then we are rushing through the broad gate. But if we choose to live a life pleasing to God, walking in unity with Him, despising sin and clinging more to God than to riches, then we are journeying toward the narrow gate.

Yet our meditation verse warns: though many seek to enter through the strait gate, they shall not be able. Why is that so? Beloved, just as a great elephant cannot pass through a doorway meant for a human being, so also a man swollen like elephant with worldly wealth and bloated with sinful living cannot pass through the strait gate. His sinful life itself becomes the barrier that keeps him out. This is the ruin he has brought upon himself.

But the one who disciplines his life, who runs the spiritual race well, who subdues his body as one who keeps strict control over his diet, will be able to pass through easily. Yes, beloved, the one who makes himself humble and lean by self-denial can pass even through a needle’s eye and inherit eternal life.

This is why the Apostle Paul said: “I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: but I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” (1 Corinthians 9:26–27).

Therefore, let us not become “unfit” by spiritual fatness and fail to enter the strait gate. Instead, let us discipline our spiritual lives, making them pleasing to God—lean and holy. Let us strive in prayer and effort, that we may not miss eternal life.
