மாசில்லாத பக்தி / PURE DEVOTION

 'ஆதவன்' 📖✝ வேதாகமத் தியானம் - எண்:- 1,120     💚 மார்ச் 04, 2024 💚 திங்கள்கிழமை 💚

"திக்கற்ற பிள்ளைகளும் விதவைகளும் படுகிற உபத்திரவத்திலே அவர்களை விசாரிக்கிறதும், உலகத்தால் கறைபடாதபடிக்குத் தன்னைக் காத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறதுமே பிதாவாகிய தேவனுக்குமுன்பாக மாசில்லாத சுத்தமான பக்தியாயிருக்கிறது." ( யாக்கோபு 1 : 27 )

தவக்காலத்தில் நாம் அதிகமாக தானதருமங்கள் செய்யவேண்டுமென்று போதிக்கப்பட்டதால் அப்படிப் பல தர்ம காரியங்களைச்  செய்யலாம். வெறுமனே தர்மம் செய்வதல்ல, அப்படித்  தர்மம் செய்யுமுன் நாம் நம்மைத் தேவனுக்குமுன் தூய்மையுள்ளவர்களாக மாற்றிக்கொள்ளவேண்டியது முதலாவதான அவசியம் என்று இன்றைய தியான வசனம் கூறுகின்றது.  

திக்கற்ற பிள்ளைகள், விதவைகள் இவர்களுக்கு உதவுவதை தேவன் விரும்புகின்றார். காரணம், அவர்களுக்கென்று தேவனைத் தவிர உலகினில் வேறு எவரும் இல்லை. "தம்முடைய பரிசுத்த வாசஸ்தலத்திலிருக்கிற தேவன், திக்கற்ற பிள்ளைகளுக்குத் தகப்பனும், விதவைகளுக்கு நியாயம் விசாரிக்கிறவருமாயிருக்கிறார்." ( சங்கீதம் 68 : 5 ) என்று நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். 

ஆனால், அப்படி திக்கற்ற பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் விதவைகளுக்கும் உதவி செய்பவர்களை  தேவன் அவர்கள் செய்யும் உதவியின் அடிப்படையில் மட்டும் பார்ப்பதில்லை. மாறாக, அவர்களது தனிப்பட்ட வாழ்கையினையும் பார்க்கின்றார். இன்று இப்படி அநாதைப்  பிள்ளைகளுக்கு உதவும் நிறுவனங்கள் பல இருக்கின்றன. வெளிநாட்டு உதவிகளைப்பெற்று பலர் இப்படி உதவிகள் செய்கின்றனர். ஆனால் அப்படி உதவிசெய்பவர்களது உள்ளான மனநிலையினையும் வாழ்க்கையினையும் தேவன் பார்க்கின்றார். 

அதனையே இன்றைய வசனத்தில் யாக்கோபு கூறுகின்றார், "உலகத்தால் கறைபடாதபடிக்குத் தன்னைக் காத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறதுமே பிதாவாகிய தேவனுக்குமுன்பாக மாசில்லாத சுத்தமான பக்தியாயிருக்கிறது." என்று. அதாவது, நாம் நல்லது செய்யுமுன் நாமே நல்லவர்களாக இருக்கவேண்டியது அவசியம். அதிகமாக உதவிகள்  செய்பவர்களைக் கொடைவள்ளல் என இந்த உலகம் பாராட்டலாம். ஆனால் தேவன் அப்படிச் செய்பவரல்ல. நாம் இப்படி உதவி செய்யுமுன் நல்லவர்களாக, உலகப்  பாவக்  கறைகளற்றவர்களாக  இருக்கின்றோமா என்பதையும்  தேவன் பார்க்கின்றார்.  

நாம் பெரும்பாலும் மனிதப் பார்வையிலேயே அனைத்தையும் பார்க்கின்றோம். ஆனால், தேவன் நமது தனிப்பட்ட வாழ்க்கையைப் பொறுத்தே நாம் செய்யும் அனைத்தையும் பார்க்கின்றார். அதன் அடிப்படையிலேயே தீர்ப்பிடுகின்றார். "மனுஷன் உலகம் முழுவதையும் ஆதாயப்படுத்திக்கொண்டாலும், தன் ஜீவனை நஷ்டப்படுத்தினால் அவனுக்கு லாபம் என்ன? மனுஷன் தன் ஜீவனுக்கு ஈடாக என்னத்தைக் கொடுப்பான்?" ( மத்தேயு 16 : 26 ) என்று இயேசு கிறிஸ்து கேள்வி எழுப்பினார்.

ஆம் அன்பானவர்களே, நாம் நமது பணத்தால், திறமையால், அல்லது கருணைச் செயல்களால் இந்த உலக மக்களை ஆதாயப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளலாம். அவர்களது உள்ளங்களைக் கவர்ந்து கொள்ளலாம். ஆனால் தேவனை அப்படிக் கவர முடியாது. நமது தனிப்பட்ட வாழ்க்கை தேவன் அருவருக்கும்  அவலட்சணமானதாக இருக்குமானால் அதனால் பயனென்ன? 

எனவே, திக்கற்ற பிள்ளைகளும் விதவைகளும் படுகிற உபத்திரவத்திலே அவர்களை விசாரிக்கிறது நல்லதுதான் எனினும் நாம்  உலகத்தால் கறைபடாதபடிக்கு நம்மைக் காத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறதும் முக்கியம். அதுவே பிதாவாகிய தேவனுக்குமுன்பாக மாசில்லாத சுத்தமான பக்தியாயிருக்கிறது.

தவக்காலத்தில் வெறுமனே தர்மம் செய்வதல்ல; மனம் திரும்பிய வாழ்க்கையோடுகூடிய தர்மச் செயல்களையே தேவன் விரும்புகின்றார். அதுவே அவர்முன் உண்மையான பக்தியாக இருக்கின்றது.

                    PURE DEVOTION 

'AATHAVAN' 📖✝ BIBLE MEDITATION No:- 1,120 💚 March 04, 2024 💚 Monday 💚

"Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." (James 1 : 27 )

As we are taught to give more charity during lent, we may do many such charitable things. Today's meditation verse says that it is not just about doing charity, but before doing such charity, we must make ourselves pure before God.

God wants orphans and widows to be helped. Because for them there is no one else in the world except God. "A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation." (Psalms 68: 5) we read.

But God does not look at those who help poor children and widows based on their help. On the contrary, He also looks at their personal life. Today many organizations are doing charitable assistance by receiving foreign aids. Many people are also doing charity during lent days. But God sees not their charity but the inner life of those who help like that.

That's what James says in today's verse, "Keeping oneself undefiled by the world is pure godliness before God the Father." That is, before we do good, we must be good ourselves. The world may praise those who do more favours as charity. But God does not praise like that. God also sees whether we are good and free from worldly sins before helping this way.

We often see everything from a human perspective. But God also sees everything act of our personal lives. He judges based on that. "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" (Matthew 16: 26) Jesus Christ questioned.

Yes, dear ones, we can get appreciation from the people of this world for our money, talent, or acts of kindness. We can appeal their hearts. What good is it if our personal lives are unholy to God?  

Therefore, it is good to visit the fatherless and widows in their suffering, but it is also important to keep ourselves not being defiled by the world. That is pure devotion before God the Father.

Lent is not simply about giving charity; God loves righteous deeds with a repentant life. That is true devotion before Him.
