என்னிடத்தில் திரும்புங்கள்/ TURN TO ME

ஆதவன் 🔥 959🌻 செப்டம்பர் 13, 2023 புதன்கிழமை 

"என்னிடத்தில் திரும்புங்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; அப்பொழுது நான் உங்களிடத்துக்குத் திரும்புவேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்." ( சகரியா 1 : 3 )

நமது தேவன் உலக மனிதர்களைப்போல மன வைராக்கியம் கொண்டவரல்ல; மனிதர்களது பலவீனம் அவருக்குத் தெரியும். எவ்வளவுநாள் நாம் அவரை மறந்து அவரைப் புறக்கணித்து வாழ்ந்திருந்தாலும் அவரிடம் இரகங்களும் மன்னிப்புகளும்  உண்டு என்பதால் நம்மை மன்னித்து ஏற்றுக்கொள்கின்றார்.  எனவேதான் கூறுகின்றார், "என்னிடத்தில் திரும்புங்கள் ; அப்பொழுது நான் உங்களிடத்துக்குத் திரும்புவேன்" என்று. 

தானியேல் புத்தகத்தில் நாம் வாசிக்கலாம், "......அவர் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளாகிய தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரரைக்கொண்டு எங்களுக்கு முன்பாகவைத்த அவருடைய நியாயப்பிரமாணங்களின்படி நடவாமல் நாங்கள் அவருடைய சத்தத்துக்குச் செவிகொடாமற்போனோம். ஆனாலும் எங்கள் தேவனாகிய ஆண்டவரிடத்தில் இரக்கங்களும் மன்னிப்புகளும் உண்டு." ( தானியேல் 9 : 9, 10 )

அன்பானவர்களே,  எண்ணிமுடியாத நாட்களாய் அவரை நாம் மறந்து வாழ்ந்திருக்கலாம். நமது வயதும் மிக அதிகமாகியிருக்கலாம். ஆனால் அவரிடத்தில் இரக்கங்களும் மன்னிப்புகளும் உண்டு என்பதால், அவரிடம் நாம் முழு உள்ளத்தோடு திரும்பும்போது நம்மை அவர் ஏற்றுக்கொள்கின்றார். 

ஆனால் இன்று பெரும்பாலான மக்கள் முன்பு நான் வாழ்ந்ததுபோல  தங்களது முகத்தை தேவனை நோக்கித் திருப்பாமல் தங்களது முதுகை தேவனுக்குக் காட்டித்  தான்தோன்றித்தனமாக வாழ்கின்றார்கள். தங்கள் வாழ்வில் துன்பங்கள் வரும்போது மட்டும் தேவனை நோக்கி முறையிடுகின்றார்கள். இதனை எரேமியா மூலம் தேவன் கூறுகின்றார், "அவர்கள் தங்கள் முகத்தையல்ல, தங்கள் முதுகை எனக்குக் காட்டினார்கள்; தங்கள் ஆபத்துக்காலத்திலோ எழுந்து எங்களை இரட்சியும் என்கிறார்கள்." ( எரேமியா 2 : 27 ) இதனைத் தேவன் எனக்கு உணர்த்தினார். இந்த மக்களுக்கு இதனைத் தெளிவுபடுத்தவேண்டும்.

எரேமியா கூறுவதுபோல,  எனது முகத்தையல்ல,  முதுகையே  அவருக்குக் காட்டியவனாக  வாழ்ந்துவந்தேன். கம்யூனிச மாதப் பத்திரிகையில் துணை ஆசிரியராக இருந்து மக்களை துன்மார்க்க நெறிக்கு நேராகத் திருப்பும் கட்டுரைகளையும் கவிதைகளையும் எழுதிக்கொண்டிருந்தேன். ஆனால் எனது 36 வது வயதில் என்னைவிட 10 வயது குறைவான ஒரு சகோதரன் மூலம் கிறிஸ்துவை அறிந்து அவருக்கு நேராக எனது முகத்தைத் திருப்பினேன். என்னிடத்தில் திரும்புங்கள்,  அப்பொழுது நான் உங்களிடத்துக்குத் திரும்புவேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லியபடி என்னிடம் அவரும் திரும்பினார்.  ஆம், தேவன் வாக்கு மாறாதவர். முழு மனதுடன் அவரை நோக்கிப் பாருங்கள்; கர்த்தர் உங்களிடம் திரும்புவார். 

இப்படி தங்களது தேவைக்கு மட்டும் தேவனைப் பயன்படுத்த விரும்புபவர்களை தேவன் கவனிப்பதில்லை. முழு மனதோடு தங்கள் பழைய தவறுகளை அறிக்கையிட்டு அவரிடம் திரும்பும்போது மட்டுமே அவர்களது குரலுக்குத் தேவன் செவிகொடுப்பார். 

தான் உருவாக்கிய மக்கள் தன்னை மறந்து வாழ்வதையும், தெய்வபயமின்றி அநியாயமான காரியங்களில் ஈடுபட்டு வருவதையும் கண்டு மனம் வெதும்பி  தேவன் கூறுகின்றார், "ஒரு பெண் தன் ஆபரணத்தையும், ஒரு மணவாட்டி தன் ஆடைகளையும் மறப்பாளோ? என் ஜனங்களோ எண்ணிமுடியாத நாட்களாய் என்னை மறந்துவிட்டார்கள்." ( எரேமியா 2 : 32 )

எந்த மணப்பெண்ணும் தனது மண ஆடையையும் திருமண நகைகளையும் அணிய மறக்கமாட்டாள். ஆனால் தனது மணவாட்டியாக தான் தெரிந்துகொண்ட மக்கள் தன்னை அப்படி  மறந்துவிட்டார்கள் என்கின்றார் கர்த்தர். 

அன்பானவர்களே, நாம்தினமும் ஜெபித்து, ஆலய வழிபாடுகளில் பக்தியுடன் கலந்துகொள்வது மட்டும் போதாது, அவரிடம் முழு மனதுடன் திரும்பவேண்டும். அப்பொழுது நான் உங்களிடத்துக்குத் திரும்புவேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

                                        TURN TO ME

"Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts." (Zechariah 1: 3)

Our God is not zealous like worldly men; He knows human weakness. No matter how long we have forgotten and ignored Him, He forgives and accepts us because He has mercy and forgiveness. That is why He says, “Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you."

In the book of Daniel we read, "To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him; Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets." (Daniel 9: 9, 10)

Beloved, we may have forgotten him for countless days. Our age may also be very high. But because He has mercy and forgiveness, He accepts us when we return to Him wholeheartedly.

But today most of the people do not turn their face towards God like I was in the past showing their back to God. They appeal to God only when suffering comes in their lives. God says this through Jeremiah, "Thou hast brought me forth: for they have turned their back unto me, and not their face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us." ( Jeremiah 2 : 27 ) God made me realize this. This should be made clear to these people.

Yes. as Jeremiah says, I lived as one who showed him not my face but my back. I was a sub-editor of a communist monthly and was writing articles and poems that would turn people straight to immorality. But at the age of 36 I came to know Christ through a brother who was 10 years younger than me and turned my face towards Him. He also returned to me, as the LORD of hosts had said, "turn to me, and I will turn to you." Yes, God is unchanging. Look to Him with all your heart; The Lord will return to you.

God does not care about those who want to use God only for their own needs. God will hear their voice only when they return to Him wholeheartedly confessing their old mistakes.

Seeing that the people He created forget Him and live without the fear of God, God is heartbroken and says, "Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number." (Jeremiah 2: 32)

No bride forgets to wear her wedding dress and wedding jewellery. But the people whom He chose as his bride have forgotten Him like that, says the Lord.

Beloved, it is not enough for us to pray daily and devoutly attend church services, we must return to Him wholeheartedly. Then “I will turn un to you” says the Lord of hosts.
