மெய்யான ஆலயம் / TRUE TEMPLE

ஆதவன் 🔥 976🌻 செப்டம்பர் 30, 2023 சனிக்கிழமை

"முந்தின ஆலயத்தின் மகிமையைப்பார்க்கிலும், இந்தப் பிந்தின ஆலயத்தின் மகிமை பெரிதாயிருக்கும் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; இவ்விடத்திலே சமாதானத்தைக் கட்டளையிடுவேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறார்".( ஆகாய் 2 : 9 )

நாம் ஏற்கெனவே பல வசனங்களில் பார்த்தபடி பழைய ஏற்பட்டு சம்பவங்கள் அனைத்துமே புதிய ஏற்பாட்டின் நிழலாட்டமே. இன்றைய வசனமும் அத்தகையதே.

அழிக்கப்பட்டுப்  பழுதுபட்டுப் போன  எருசலேம் ஆலயத்தினை மறுபடியும் கட்டத்துவங்கிய இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்கு ஆகாய் தீர்க்கதரிசியின் மூலம் இன்றைய வசனம் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. தகர்க்கப்பட்ட பழைய ஆலயத்தினைக் குறித்துக் கவலையடையவேண்டாம்,  "முந்தின ஆலயத்தின் மகிமையைப்பார்க்கிலும், இந்தப் பிந்தின ஆலயத்தின் மகிமை பெரிதாயிருக்கும் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்."

அன்பானவர்களே, புதிய ஏற்பாட்டின் அடிப்படையில் மெய்யான ஆலையம் என்பது நமது உடல்தான். "நீங்கள் தேவனுடைய ஆலயமாயிருக்கிறீர்களென்றும், தேவனுடைய ஆவி உங்களில் வாசமாயிருக்கிறாரென்றும் அறியாதிருக்கிறீர்களா?" ( 1 கொரிந்தியர் 3 : 16 ) என்று நாம் வாசிக்கின்றோம். நமது உடலாகிய ஆலயத்தில் தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் வாழ்கின்றார்.

எனவேதான் நாம் நமது உடலாகிய ஆலயத்தைப் பரிசுத்தமாய்க் காத்துக்கொள்ளவேண்டியது அவசியமாய் இருக்கின்றது. அப்படி நாம் நமது பரிசுத்தத்தைக் காத்துக்கொள்ளத் தவறினால் தேவன் நம்மைக் கெடுப்பார் என்று வசனம் நம்மை எச்சரிக்கின்றது.  "ஒருவன் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தைக் கெடுத்தால், அவனைத் தேவன் கெடுப்பார்; தேவனுடைய ஆலயம் பரிசுத்தமாயிருக்கிறது; நீங்களே அந்த ஆலயம்." ( 1 கொரிந்தியர் 3 : 17 )

நாம் பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டு புது மனிதனாவது எகிப்திலிருந்து இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் விடுதலை ஆகி கானானை நோக்கி வந்ததற்கு ஒப்பாக இருக்கின்றது. ஆம், நாம் எகிப்து எனும் பழைய பாவத்தின் பிடியிலிருந்து விடுதலை ஆகிவிட்டோம். ஆனால் நம்மில் பழைய பாவ நாட்டங்கள் இன்னும் இருக்கின்றன. அவற்றினை மேற்கொள்ள நமக்கு பரிசுத்த ஆவியாரின் துணை  தேவையாக இருக்கின்றது. இன்றைய தியான வசனத்தின் நான்கு வசனத்தின்முன்பு அது குறித்து ஆகாய் கூறுகின்றார்,  "நீங்கள் எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படுகிறபோது நான் உங்களோடே உடன்படிக்கைப்பண்ணின வார்த்தையின்படியே, என் ஆவியானவரும் உங்கள் நடுவில் நிலைகொண்டிருப்பார்; பயப்படாதேயுங்கள்." ( ஆகாய் 2 : 5 )

ஆம், நமது உடலாகிய ஆலயத்தினைப் பரிசுத்தமாகக் கட்டியெழுப்ப நம்மால் முடியுமா எனும் தயக்கம் நமக்கு வேண்டாம்.  ஆகாய் தீர்க்கத்தரிசி மூலம் தேவன் கூறுவதுபோல,  "நான் உங்களோடே உடன்படிக்கைப்பண்ணின வார்த்தையின்படியே, என் ஆவியானவரும் உங்கள் நடுவில் நிலைகொண்டிருப்பார்; பயப்படாதேயுங்கள்."

தேவனுக்கேற்ற வாழ்க்கை வாழ்ந்து ஆவியானவரின் துணையோடு நாம் காட்டக்கூடிய நமது உடலாகிய ஆலையம் நிச்சயமாக "முந்தின ஆலயத்தின் மகிமையைப்பார்க்கிலும், பெரிதாயிருக்கும்." மட்டுமல்ல, உடலாகிய ஆலயத்தைப் பரிசுத்தமாகக் கட்டும்போது, இன்றைய வசனம் இறுதியில் கூறுவதன்படி "சமாதானத்தைக் கட்டளையிடுவேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறார்"

"The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts." ( Haggai 2 : 9 )

As we have already seen in many meditations, all the happenings of the old are the shadow of the New Testament. Today's verse is also one like that.

Today's verse is told by the prophet Haggai to the people of Israel who rebuilt the temple of Jerusalem that was destroyed and repaired. Don't worry about the destroyed old temple, "The glory of this latter temple will be greater than the glory of the former temple, says the Lord of hosts."

Beloved, according to the New Testament the true temple is our body. "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?" ( 1 Corinthians 3 : 16 ) we read. The Holy Spirit of God dwells in the temple which is our body.

That is why it is necessary for us to keep the temple which is our body holy. The verse warns us that if we fail to guard our holiness, God will destroy us. "If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are." ( 1 Corinthians 3 : 17 )

Our sins are forgiven and we are a new human being, like the liberated Israelites from Egypt who came to Canaan. Yes, we have been freed from the grip of the old sin of Egypt. But we still have old sinful tendencies. To overcome them, we need the help of the Holy Spirit. We read it four verses before today's meditation, Haggai says about it, "According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not." ( Haggai 2 : 5 )

Yes, we don't want to hesitate whether we could able to build our body as a holy temple. As God says through the prophet Haggai, "My Spirit shall dwell among you, according to the word of my covenant with you; fear not."

Our physical temple, if we live a godly life with the guidance of Holy Spirit, will surely be "greater than the glory of the former temple." Not only that, when the physical temple is built in holiness, as today's verse concludes, in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.
